Pros: This chic hotel just five minutes from the Liberty mall and National Museum is a great place to stay in Colombo. It reminds me of the boutique hotels in San Francisco, with quirky design and elegance. Most of the staff were very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast buffet is a good deal and includes both western and traditional dishes. The rooftop bar is a great place to relax, as is the infinity pool. It's a great value for the money, compared to other hotels in the capitol.
Cons: Since most staff were helpful and friendly, those who weren't stood out quite a bit. The hotel lobby is oddly split, with check in on the 7th floor. For all its charm, the hotel is VERY small and so the restaurant, bar, and pool can fill up very quickly.

Pros: The hotel's design and amenities are what you'd expect from a boutique chain, and the majority of the staff are welcoming, attentive, and respectful. The rooms are excellent; clean, well-appointed, and tech enabled. The food options in the hotel are a good value, and the gym, pool, and rooftop bar provide ample opportunity to unwind.
Cons: Though I didn't experience it personally, several members of my party (along with many, many, many guests) had their room keycards malfunction throughout the stay. These keycards control access to your floor as well as your room, and are required to enable power in your room for lights, outlets, etc. The hotel itself is very, very small, so if you go to the restaurant, or the lobby, or the rooftop bar, or the pool, or the gym, at the wrong time, you'll be waiting or will be out of luck. The elevators say they hold 11 people max, but barely fit five people comfortably. All these quibbles are minor when considering the price you pay for the clean, excellent rooms and service.

Pros: Rooms were comfortable, great showers, good beds
Cons: They have a blaring disco at the pool until 11.30pm, the drum beats shaking the rooms at the North side of the hotel, affecting 50% of the hotel. They should either give a discount for those rooms or warn people. It's a strange business choice, as the DJ plays for 10-20 people at most, who don't seem to care about the music anyway, while a multitude of clients is adversely by it. I would certainly not recommend this hotel for this very reason. Staff also did not follow up on their promise to give me another room the next morning for my second night.

Pros: This was a perfect hotel in a great location. We traveled all over Sri Lanka and found this hotel to meet or exceed every expectation. The room was perfect, the pool area was pure luxury and the restaurant choices were excellent. I would stay there again.
Cons: The only "quirk" was that the elevators were not air conditioned. But they were fast, so we didn't have to be in them very long!

Pros: Grounds, public spaces & meeting rooms are lovely-5*. Large breakfast buffet with juice bar. Six bottles of water in my room in arrival (thoughtful) but they weren't replenished. Many wedding parties use lobby & grounds for photos-beautiful to see.
Cons: My room was in the older (not refurbished) wing and it showed. Water would not turn off completely in shower, closet doors were hard to slide & did not close completely. Safe was locked open & no one showed up to fix it after I called (but it was done by 3rd day). The room next to mine was under construction or being used by staff & there was a lot of banging one night after midnight. Also, several conference attendees had stomach issues from food they ate there.

Cons: Parking not available in most occasions. Rooms definitely need to be refurbished. Hallway outside the room has a unpleasant smell. Bathroom exhaust fan does not work right. Mirror gets fogged after shower. No power outlet in bathroom. Bad lighting in room.

Pros: The receptionist who checked us in was quite Curt. He said NO to everything that later became a yes. When asked about rickshaw fares he said he didn't know. The bedsheets had dust in them.

Cons: Was not able to check into hotel without a passport. Would not accept my foreign Driver's License as proper ID. Two other hotels in Colombo checked me in without my passport no problem.

Pros: The breakfast buffet and the on site restaurants were excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. Location is excellent.
Cons: The rooms were extremely dated and not very clean. Think “golden girls” decor, but dusty. There was mold on the grout in the shower. I was here for a few days because I was attending a wedding being held in the hotel, but moved to an Airbnb the 1st chance I could.
