9.0 Excellent
Pros: Well appointed. Gracious, professional, efficient staff
Cons: Room a bit noisy, street noise audible, as was the maid's HQ across the hall. Otherwise very clean, comfortable, very nice. The destination charge is bogus, and the parking too expensive.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Standing in the cold at 22:00 at night after a four hour flight because access to hotel closed due to filming: no prior warning given. This happened again on our return to the hotel for second visit. No doubt hotel made money out of this but no benefit to customers

Pros: Quality room, quiet, great location
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, cleanliness, Front desk and Bellman staff were very courteous and helpful.
Cons: Cleaning staff were too loud in the hallway and adjacent rooms .. laughing and speaking louder than necessary to perform cleaning tasks... as compared to other similar star rated hotels. My room was on the 17th flr.

9.7 Excellent
Pros: The staff was exceptional. ALL of them.
Cons: Not much. The spa was priced really high so we ended up making other accommodations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is great, but the real star here is the amazing staff. My sister and I bring our granddaughters every year and are never disappointed. Even when the young kids are “being kids” they are treated very well as are the Grandmas.
Cons: If there is a downfall, it would be the cost. Obviously though, it is not a deterrent and we will continue to stay at this property when it works out for our SF stays.

Pros: The rooms are super nice and the staff is amazing
10.0 Excellent
Cons: They need to add a salon that has someone there to do hair blow outs for customers staying at the Ritz.

Pros: Check was in smooth - but please verify with the staff that "breakfast is included" if you purchased the breakfast option; sometimes it does not register with the check in desk Gym is nice, rooms are great! Very clean, chic and calm! Very close to street car and good public transport
Cons: Breakfast issue at front desk - covered or not covered. Other than that - amazing!

2.0 Mediocre
Cons: I arrived and was sent to the hyatt as they didn’t have a room for me
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, it was a last minute booking as we attended an event on the roof. Room spacious, clean, updated (i do wish we would have been higher up for a better view).
Cons: Given what i paid, i would have liked it to have breakfast included, but they have quite a good buffet style breakfast at a reasonable price available.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was very clean and pretty new. Loved the walk-in shower. The bed was very comfortable.
Cons: Didn’t like that we couldn’t go on the rooftop due to an event. Didn’t like that there was no microwave in the room, there was only one coffee cup and not nearly enough coffee and only one bathrobe. It seemed the room was made for only one person but you knew there were two of us.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The hotel staff and hotel its self were great.
Cons: Its mainly about the charges that were on my account. I was charged 3 separate times for my 1 night stay.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: My room was lovely - quality furnishings, sufficient space, nice view.

Pros: Great staff! Loved staying here. Perfect location for SF.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room is very quiet with great closet design and Alleluia to lamps I can manually turn on and off and not have to find an obscure light switch controlling too much . Wonderful pillows . A plus staff . First hotel that remembers to replace the laundry slip after the first use ! Memorable restaurant -
Cons: I have no dislike comments . This Hotel does not disappoint at all . Great staff and very quick responses . Obviously good management . This is the first time I have tried a Taj and will look for others based on this experience

Cons: No bells and whistles. This was much more like your standard, mid-grade Marriott than a 4-star experience. No fluffy robes, slippers, turn-down service, etc.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Issues connecting to hotel WiFi—should not be so complicated!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is wonderfully clean and comfortable. Everyone is genuinely kind and helpful.
5.0 Okay
Cons: There was nearly $35 in hotel fees that I wasnt aware of when I booked the room. It came as a surprise when I checked out the next morning. Apparently it was for coffee and pastry in the lobby and WiFi. I didnt want either. Waste of money.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Pros: Location Staff is wonderful Rooms are large and comfortable for San Francisco
Cons: Cons: The Bistro is awful, did not try the restaurant Weird position for shower activation, have to actually be in the shower to turn it on........BRRR. The closet is about 12" wide, so this is not the place to stay for a long time
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is great!
Cons: Understand being charged for internet and coffee/muffins, but if breakfast runs until 9:30 then there should be coffee and muffins available at 9:15. I let the front desk know and waited 15 minutes to no avail.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: location
Cons: The rooms are outdated and its not a 5 star hotel. Its a 4 star hotel

The Hyatt Regency landmark hotel has long been at the cornerstone of San Francisco's dynamic waterfront neighborhood. Overlooking the Bay, this 821-room hotel with a soaring 17-story atrium lobby is a Financial District destination.
6.7 Good
Pros: The balcony view
Cons: The bathroom. It was outdated and not the cleanest.

Cons: They woke us up a 3:30in the morning to make us walk 14 floors and me having a bad hip was terrible all because they said someone was smoking!!

Pros: architecture, interior design, entire lobby, elevators, room with water view, the bed, fun front desk guys, so close to BART, location: very comfortable walk to waterfront, wharf, sites, bus, trolley . . .
Cons: bathroom too small / tight.

1.0 Poor
Pros: Clean
Cons: We had really loud neighbors and complained yet no one did anything about it
8.0 Excellent
Cons: But I did not like to be charged for internet. I would have liked to have access to the top floor restaurant.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and comfort bed
Cons: Nothing
7.0 Good
Pros: Cool ambiance, most staff members were very nice. Regency Club was a nice option (for which I paid) but I could not get gluten-free options, especially for breakfast, so please consider this!
Cons: Not properly trained people at parking: IDO NOT CARE THEY ARE NOT HYATT EMPLOYEES. Their poor service (poor things, out of not being trainded) reflects EXTREMELY poorly on you. I was charged 4 times for parking: once when I checked out (IF THIS IS NOT YOUR SERVICE DO NOT CHARGE ME FOR IT!!!) twice when supposedly a card didn't work (which ended up vaccuming $450 out of my availability) once on a credit that did work Bottom line: I paid $900 for 3 nights of parking. I called the hotel and it was sorted out but it is STILL NOW taking me time...
Overview Reviews
Timeless yet modern, The Westin St. Francis San Francisco on Union Square has been offering guests a warm welcome and an enriching, restorative stay since opening on March 21, 1904. With its turn-of-the-20th-century European style, our hotel in downtown San Francisco blends the elegance of oak-paneled restaurants and the stately grandeur of the lobby with a $45 million reinvention of the Landmark Building guest rooms, ushering in a new chapter for this storied destination. At this standout among San Francisco hotels on Union Square, you can host events in venues and ballrooms where the finest big bands once played. Recharge in elegant rooms, many featuring chandeliers and marble bathrooms, with modern touches like Heavenly® Beds and Enseo Smart TV systems. As the only hotel on Union Square, SF, it is close to the Financial District and Moscone Convention Center, and with cable cars just outside our front doors, we are at the intersection of the glorious past and vibrant present of San Francisco.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location was great, along with the entrance/lobby was beautiful.
Cons: The room did not represent a 4 star hotel. There was a huge chip (1x2 in the bathroom countertop and another in the bedside table which the drawer did not open by design. All in all. A standard run of the mill hotel room. Parking was $100/night
6.0 Good
Pros: Location was great, very central and busy. Easy to walk or Lyft to sightseeing. The front desk was cordial, and of course the actual hotel itself is quite grand. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but the room service food was good, and the bartenders are excellent. The bar is pretty small though, and gets very crowded on weekends.
Cons: We had a few issues with service. A caveat- we stayed over Valentine's Day weekend, so I know they were quite busy. Still, these issues could have been mitigated. Situation #1: Our first night, decided to order a couple of drinks to our room. I decided on a G&T, and my husband on a margarita, both with top-shelf liquor. We called room service and asked for our drinks, naming the types of gin/tequila specifically (reading off of the menu). "We don't have those," we were told. OK... maybe they were out? We tried our second choices (also on the menu- not top shelf, but not well). "We don't have those either." .... We ended up ordering "whatever you do have" and trying not to let it get us down. 2 nights later, I stopped in the bar. Guess what was on the menu and fully stocked behind the bar? Both types of gin I'd tried to order. I suppose they could have gotten a shipment in that weekend, but somehow I doubt it. Situation #2: Our 6-year old kiddo came along for the family weekend, and one night he had an accident in his bed. We'd declined housekeeping that day, but now we desperately needed a change of sheets. My husband called down to housekeeping and explained the situation, and they said they would come up and take care of it. Wonderful! We left the room to do a bit of shopping and dinner. When we came back, the bed was beautifully made. Our son changed into his jammies and got into bed. "Mommy- it's wet." he said. THEY'D TAKEN THE OLD, PEED ON SHEETS AND MADE THE BED BACK UP WITH THEM. I can understand missing a small accident, but our kid had really let loose, and there was a hefty wet spot right in the middle of the bed. To the credit of housekeeping, they sent someone up with new sheets to remake the bed, and that person was great. I'm just a little floored that someone could make a double bed with sheets soaked in urine and not notice.

Pros: Rooms are beautiful!

Pros: Great Value and Service !

Pros: The beds at the Westin are always incredibly comfortable!
7.4 Good
Pros: directly across the street from Union Square, so it’s perfectly walkable
Cons: Parking was atrocious. It took two hours to actually approach the parking garage bc of a traffic logjam, and we never got to actually park our car safely at the hotel. We had to find a random garage a few blocks away. Best bet is to drop your car off very early, or well after check-in time.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I was kindly upgraded and warms thanks for that (I was so happy to come back to this hotel I used to go when working at Cisco years ago).
Cons: An issue (promptly fixed) with the shower tap that couldn't be locked. It may happen, no worries.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's history and location made it our runaway first choice. It lived up to its 5 star reputation starting with check in.
Cons: It's an old building; you come up steps to get to the front door. A modern building would have a ramp. But, a ramp would ruin the looks. So you put up with a cumber some handling of your luggage.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view was good and the service was great.
Cons: I didn’t get a landmark view as said on the discretion, but the view wasn’t so bad.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The bathroom floor flooded because the seal on door was not sealed. Had a horrible experience with cab who threatened to shoot me with his gun. I was there with one of my attorneys’. Cab driver stepped out of car and was coming to get me. Your doorman was a real hero as he stepped in between us. I spoke with the hotel night manager about the incident.facility, location and staff are nice. I am a writer and a true sixth generation San Franciscan. The City has sadly changed and not for the better. Too much homelessness. I guess the biggest problem I had with my room was the bathroom flooding every time a showers was taken. Thank you for your follow-up. I appreciate it. Sincerely, Daniel N. Irving
Cons: Bathroom
7.0 Good
Pros: Old but modern hotel
Cons: You could hear a lot of things through the doors and windows.

Overview Reviews
With a name like the Argonaut, it's impossible not to speak of this hotel in grand, almost legendary terms. Inspired by the Greek legend and Gold Rush-era adventurers, it's one of those rare places in San Francisco that truly merits a term like iconic. Located in the historic Haslett Warehouse, the Argonaut's home is a grand building built in 1907 of exposed brick, Douglas Fir beams and so much seaside character; you feel as though you can almost reach out and touch the colorful Barbary Coast past here. Our boutique hotel is also celebrated for an unsurpassed level of 4-Diamond service and amenities that provide an unforgettable destination experience. Couple that with a positively perfect location at San Francisco's most famous address: perched on the edge of the Bay at Fisherman's Wharf, and it’s easy to see why the hotel is so coveted. A recipient of the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Award for five years running.

Pros: Great location, friendly staff.

Cons: Water pressure was pretty terrible. The breakfast lacked decent options for certain diets.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel provided top notch rooms in a great location. Public areas were warm and welcoming.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were excellent with Customer Service from cleaning maids, front desk, bellhops, and valet attendants. Location was easy to access the wharf and piers along with the cable car system. We felt very safe in the hotel location.
Cons: $65 daily parking fee and $30 amenities fee each night.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The nautical decor was great. It was warm and cozy with the fireplace in the lobby.
Cons: They got our phone number incorrect and never called us to tell us our room was ready. We checked in at 10:30am and left our bags and didn't hear from them all day until I called at 4. Took 40 min to get us our correct car first one not ours

Pros: Excellent service!
Cons: No.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location was perfect. Very easy to get around from there location
Cons: Room was a little dusty. Also there was construction going on every morning we were there and it started at 7am and we could not sleep past then because the noise was so loud.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff and spacious rooms
Cons: Beds a little hard
8.0 Excellent
Cons: No free wifi and parking was expensive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great offer to upgrade at a small upcharge - worth it given the view of downtown SF. Staff was great and check in and out was seamless
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Its location.
Cons: The halls are hideous. Carpets feature ugly buildings; light fixtures are cheap and ugly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff, efficient check-in, great location, upgraded room.
Cons: No, everything was great.
7.1 Good
Pros: The room size, hotel location, and hotel bar.
Cons: Confusing layout, couldnt easily located the front desk for check in (temp location due to redecorating.) Also, booked a king, was given a queen with a "better/more expensive view" not cleared with us before. It was too late to change rooms when that was offered.
7.0 Good
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff great location
Cons: Charging $30 for internet in the room is ridiculous! It should be free and this is a big negative for me. It indicates a gotcha mentality since everyone needs or at least wants internet and most places provide it at no charge.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Conveniently located between Att park and Fisherman's Wharf.
Cons: Room could have been a bit cleaner.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, clean facilities, nice staff, comfortable bed
Cons: Food pricing was expensive, 1 electric bike was broken
6.8 Good
Pros: Nice hotel in general
Cons: The check in was one our delayed and the people in the front desk were not very servicial. Since it’s in the top part of the city, walking with kids or senior people is complicated. Breakfast options are not really option, it forces you to buy the full buffet.

Pros: Modern, clean and great comfortable beds great place would come here again
Cons: Close to Tenderloin. Although didn’t have any issues.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, clean and very cute.
Cons: Rooms were a bit small with 2 people in it. My car was damaged in their parking lot. The piece of my bumper that sticks out a bit to cover the trailer hitch on my suburban had been hit. The paint was cracked and there was a small amount of paint left. Noticed it when I stopped to get gas shortly after I left. I have not contacted property because I am sure they can do nothing about it, very disappointing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location! It was walking distance from union square shopping g and a short lyft ride for other parts of SF. The complimentary cupcakes, coffee, and water are greatly appreciated.
Cons: Pineapple bistro... it's not so much of a bistro if the sign read to talk to front desk if you want something...
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable for my work trip stay - nice big room, comfy bed, good shower, coffee machine and water provided. Staff were friendly, and the lobby/bar is a pleasant place for a nightcap. Decor is pineappley but not too pineappley. :)
7.0 Good
Pros: The location. It is close to mostly everything. Walking distance.
Cons: Yes. the AC did not work and I was never able to log in to Wi-Fi. I also did not like the fact that I was charged an extra $50 amenity fee.
4.0 Okay
Pros: not much I checked out after one night
Cons: tiny rooms, uncomfortable beds, tacky decor, no vibe
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Such a cute little hotel. Unfortunately AC issues hampered our visit
Cons: The AC in the room wouldn't get below 73 despite service calls. Appears to be a known problem. Too bad otherwise much higher rating. Also the very limited food menu. And the area at night doesn't inspire confidence.
6.3 Good
Pros: The only thing nice about it was the name
Cons: The discount price was still over the discounted price of another hotel and this one offered a whole lot less than the other one and the other one had a lot more spectacular views for less

Cons: A fair distance from San Fran itself but very convenient to train station.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked that this space actually had clear separation in room usage with doors, unlike some other suite-style hotels. It helped delineate space and gave me and my toddler a bit of privacy and keep her on her sleep schedule.
Cons: While all the room features were up-to-date, the dish washer looked a bit sad. The walls seemed a bit thin and you could hear people walking throughout the halls and up and down the stairs.

Pros: Close to airport and had a shuttle Room was spacious and really comfortable. Only stayed one night but suited my needs perfectly.
7.0 Good
Pros: location to SF Airport, car parking, near a grocery store and restaurants to walk not have to drive, breakfast good choice on stay on the way in, end room on 2nd floor quiet and a good size - we took our breakfast back to the room as breakfast room too small - our room had a table and chairs on inward bound stay. Nice size TV
Cons: We asked for the same room for our return two weeks after inward bound stay and was told it would be reserved for us but it wasn't and we were given a room at the front on a busy road - too noisy - changed to another - the floor 1 room was smaller and in passage with ice machine and other rooms and breakfast room - so too noisy, Guests above were noisy at it is a laminate floor in the rooms. Check out at 11am but flight wasn't til 6pm but there was no reception area to sit and pass time. Breakfast no cereal choices - just oversweet Frosties.

Pros: Super comfy mattress and pretty clean. The breakfast was better than I expected with not one but two flavors of waffles.
Cons: The additional pet fee is $25 per night which is steeper than most places and for the total price, I likely could have done better. It's also really close to the airport making it pretty loud.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff, firm Mattress, continental bkfast in the AM Hotel offers complementary Uber to airport ( 5 min or less).

Pros: Very clean and spacious room.. The double double twin bed was a plus!!
Cons: The amount of plastic cutlery but I guess this is the entire country‘s issue!

Pros: Cleaning. Practicity for the airport. Precision of the staff. Room space and comfort

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The layout is unlike any other hotel I've stayed at. Very spacious. Rooms were up to date, comfy, and came with all the necessary amenities. Definitely comparable to some of the 4 star hotels I've stayed at.
Cons: None
5.0 Okay
Pros: I liked the proximity to SFO airport and the prompt shuttle (even though the website noted the first shuttle at 4:00am and upon arriving learned that it was 4:15am. Not a big difference, but one would think they could get it right. Also, the proximity to a terrific Mexican restaurant just a 20-minute walk away was much appreciated.
Cons: The lobby coffee could have been hotter, but otherwise the property is what's expected of a low-budget sleep-over. Comfort Inn is certainly no-frills, but if all you need is a pillow and bed, it works just fine.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Staff were nice and helpful.
Cons: Facilities are fine but for over $300 I feel they were sub-par. Not being able to close the curtains, the especially sad bathroom and overall feeling of a cheap motel all contribute to my rating. More than anything, I have to comment on the airport shuttle. The driver was incredibly rude and downright odd. He wouldn’t help me with putting my suitcase in the back and very obviously bypassed me to help every other passenger. I had to put my own bag in (fine) while he went out of his way to help others, right in front of me. When we arrived at the airport he again made a big deal out of helping everyone else (even though I was first in line since my bag was on last) and when everyone had been helped he still wouldn’t hand me my bag and stood in my way. I basically had to push past him to get my bag. The other passengers noticed this rude and very unnecessary behavior. At 4am, really not the interaction I needed.

Pros: The hotel was e Carly what we were looking for. Great price, great location and great overall experience.
