Pros: Fabulously clean and comfortable room, as was en suite. Tea and coffee on tap- great! Very pleasant staff, welcoming and professional. Location very good. Price was extremely good value for money
Cons: Parking was a bit of an issue; it wasn't clear where I could park- there was a 4 by 4 blocking what seemed like a small space, however I parked across the road at the Townhouse which is a sister property
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, clean and comfortable with staff who go above and beyond.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the breakfast room which was well stocked with unlimited tea and coffee available. An excellent coffee machine was installed with reusable take away cups. The room was available 24/7 and had plenty of little extras such as chocolate biscuits and bread for the toaster if you got hunger pangs late in the evening. Crockery and cutlery were also available if you decided on a carry out from one of the many take away's in the town.
Cons: No negative comments here but a seat in the room would have been nice or a window seat built into the deep window recess would be a great upgrade for the room and improved the comfort value. Its also worth noting that the Towns shops don't open until 11am so take advantage of a lie in

Pros: Friendly comfortable stay Good view across Strathtay. Comfortable clean rooms with large comfortable bed, Clean and spacious shower and bathroom.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was ideal, away from everything, off the beaten track, and only an hour from home... Magmore Cottage is a mile and a half up a farm track/hill... won’t suit all vehicles, but our 4x4 handled it well... given its location, we also had a courtesy lift each evening from John, to and from dinner at Thyme.
Cons: WiFi seemed to drop off in the afternoons / evening... not a major issue as we still had phone service. Didn’t spoil our stay, as we were looking for a quiet few days anyway....
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Don’t want to say too many good things as don’t want people to book here when we want to return ! Being selfish that is! this place was brilliant and for families almost everything has been thought of, and noted if disabled etc things thought of well there on ground floor. Really thought from start to finish this place was a great place to stay and visit the highlands from.
Cons: Only couple slight improvements recommended - visible to see guide on taps and drinking water above sink in kitchen recommended and similar guide for bins - is in the guide to be fair but on wall by them is useful. Very minor things only.

Pros: Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and would very much recommend
Cons: Not happy with the fact we booked a family room for me and my brother in law, and expected at least 2 single beds. Insteas we had one double bed, and the fix to this was for a fold down camp bed to be setup. Pros: Everything... and the music in the bar was fantastic!
4.0 Okay
Pros: Staff were very helpful. Service is very good. Fortingall House Hotel is beautiful, the location is quiet and peaceful
Cons: The room is NOT superior, just big. The furniture is cheap, the bed is extremely soft, the pillows and duvet are practically non-existent. The bathroom, although large, is just standard. Television far too small for the large room and very poor selection of channels, approximately only a choice of 4/6. Overall I feel the room is NOT value for money, especially at the exorbitant superior room rate.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely stay for New Year, food was outstanding and the hospitality from Mags was second to none , best I’ve had in any hotel. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Warm, friendly atmosphere. Lovely location.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hostess and her team were wonderful - very welcoming. This is a gem of a country hotel in a beautiful Glen. Great food too. The open fires made it really cosy.
Cons: Not much.
6.7 Good
Pros: Location - situated in a very picturesque part of the highlands Loved the open fire places - tea and scones near the fire was a lovely touch. Very handy for dog as door right below bedroom. Helped us a lot. Enjoyed the music and singing in the bar. Very traditional and Scottish! Charming decor. Staff always polite and helpful. Bathrobes were a nice touch
Cons: Our bedroom was small, cramped and poorly lit. Very poor value for money at £160 per night. Difficult to get ready. No plugs near mirrors for hair irons and dryer. Had to boil kettle under the table due to lack of plugs in the right areas. Limited storage space in room. Small wardrobe. Staff quite overbearing with regards to guests attending meals. Woken up by staff (phone calls and door knocking) each day to ask us wherever or not we wanted to attend breakfast. The New Year’s Eve party was not value for money. £80 per ticket was far too much for what was given.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food was excellent, of a very high standard. We had an evening meal and breakfast, both were first class. Location is very peaceful. Hotel is old-fashioned, but in the best possible way, it has lots of character. Would definitely return and would recommend this to others

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Freshly decorated and beautifully clean. Really enjoyed dinner there and no complaints about breakfast either. A great spot for a bit of sight seeing and a night away.
Cons: We had just one issue and that was with the intermittent loss of water pressure in the shower. If we'd been staying more than 1 night we would have asked for it to be looked at.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were on the top floor (3rd no lifts) in a large spacious room (8.) with an equally large bathroom which looked virtually new. There was one small window but with a pretty view from the bed. Dinner and breakfast is in an area off the bar and breakfast was very good with a wide choice. Our bonus was a day of light snow which enhanced the view out the window and around the town.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: beer was not too bad and the bar staff were the only saving grace
Cons: mattress very poor, room very hot and uncomfortable, breakfast was greasy and only just warm, parking was 150 metres away in an out of sight, public, limited time car park, Can not recommend this place...

Cons: Nothing it was great
7.0 Good
Pros: central and very good value for the price we paid.
5.0 Okay
Cons: Arrived to check in at 3pm and hotel was locked up so had to phone and wait on hold to a call centre. Check out was 11am but housekeeping staff began banging on the door continuously from 10am onwards.
5.0 Okay
Pros: I liked how central it was in the town.
Cons: I stayed for 3 nights and my mum didn’t get cleaned once, (even when I hung the notice on the door handle) our glasses weren’t lifted and our tea/coffee condiments weren’t replaced/topped up. For the 3 days the hotel was like a ghost town, I only seen one staff member a couple of times. The office door was locked and there was no one at the reception most of the time. The front exit and restaurant was also locked most of the time too, so we had to use the rear exit. I will definitely not be returning.
