Pros: The host and owner, Diane is very welcoming, she offered us tea and coffee on arrival, which was very much welcomed after a 4 hour car journey. The Double Room was immaculately clean, spacious and the bed was very comfy. Diane was really helpful when we spoke about the plan for our two days, she gave us a lot of information about the area and the must see places around. The choice at breakfast was plentiful and the cooked breakfast is delicious. Nothing was too much trouble, she even offered to pay for our parking whilst we were eating our breakfast on the day of departure. We would really recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone visiting Plymouth and we will definitely be back :)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location, easy to get to and great that you were able to park there. Friendly, polite and helpful staff - nice to chat to. Breakfast was amazing and really well cooked including a decent tasty sausage & bacon which you do not always get - brilliant choice of cereals, fruits and yogurts and a wide variety of cooked breakfasts to choose from including smoked salmon scrambled eggs & kedgeree which I've never seen on a breakfast menu. Rooms are very clean, spacious and had the best detailed welcome pack - a rarity! The hotel as a whole is very warm and welcoming with a communal living room and bar, flowers and artwork are everywhere (you can purchase both originals and prints from a local artist who is also a member of staff!) One of the best points though is there are books everywhere - the halls, corridors, living room even the guest rooms so if you're a book lover here for a break, what a bonus! Plus many a board game too. If ever we head that way again this will be our first choice to stay for sure it was just a shame we were only there for one night. :)
Cons: Nothing we really didn't like, but a word of warning though if you are not good with stairs please request a ground floor room as there is not a lift on the premises.

Pros: The hosts Maxine and Chris were excellent. Chris been a Michelin chef in his previous role made us some good breakfast and excellent pancakes. As for the room. My wife and I had the top room which was very spacious plus having a Kingsize bed made all the difference in getting good sleep as I tend to find double beds quite small. The bathroom is next door which was spacious too. No one comes on the top floor so going back and for next door was no issue plus we had our privacy. This B&B used to be a old village school and alot of hard work, lot of thought and passion has gone on making this place an excellent B&B to stay. We stayed for 7 nights and throughly enjoyed it. Hope to be back soon in the future.

Pros: Loved it all - the breakfast was fantastic, a real spread despite being the only guest, and that the owners were going away next day. I wish I could scramble eggs like Carol. The riverside wooded location of the house is simply gorgeous and they provide an interesting history of it. They have 36 acres and my bedroom view was sublime. Great pubs nearby. My request for a slightly later check-out was granted. Steve is charming and really helpful.
Cons: The wi-fi didn't quite reach my room but that was not really a problem, I just chilled out. I'm afraid I can't fault anything else!

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The size of the room and the bathroom along with the consumables. The evening meal was excellent with a varied menu and good sized portions.
Cons: The timing of breakfast was too late for us so it had to be foregone. TV reception on some terrestrial channels was so difficult to be unusable.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location in the middle of nature. Wonderful food (breakfast is the best I've had staying at any hotel) and lovely people. This quirky country house was perfect for our break, it was a special birthday celebration and we so appreciated the room upgrade, thank you so much!
7.5 Good
Pros: Location Wonderfully dog friendly
Cons: Water supply in the en-suite bathroom. The hot water was either non existent or boiling hot to the point of being hazardous. The evening meal was poor value. The radiator in the bedroom did not work.
