9.6 Excellent
Pros: the perfect place to stay
7.9 Good
Pros: Summer Isles is a remote location, which is exactly what I'd hoped for during our short stay earlier in October! The pub on-site is a delight and the food is delicious both there and in the restaurant. It's a charming place off the beaten path with helpful staff, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
Cons: I don't think I'd change it, but the gravel parking lot can make it interesting to wheel bags around the property.
7.9 Good
Pros: Room and bathroom were well presented. Lovely lounge and dining room. Dinner and breakfast were good.
Cons: Staff were professional but not friendly. On arrival (5pm)we were immediately rushed around to choose where we wanted to eat dinner. Even although we were 15 minutes prior to our allotted time(6.45pm), choosing dinner was stressful as we were not given time to read the menus to decide on drinks or food before the waitress came back to ask what we wanted, again and again. A bit too over attentive for us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: nice house, everything is perfect. quiet lovely for a group of three or four
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view from our room was fantastic, overlooking the Isles. The breakfast was very good, freshly cooked to order. The staff were always very helpful.
Cons: Minor comments, the menu for both restaurant and the attached bar was limited in that the whole time we were there, it did not vary. The fish meals were very good, however we travelled with a meat eater who did find the menu limited. Also, we travelled with our daughter who stayed in an eco room, pine cladded, which she found slightly dark, she had to keep the lights on all the time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent friendly service. Superb food.
Cons: Nothing!
7.0 Good
Pros: excellent breakfast, and indeed a good dinner; food and wine not overpriced, even though it's a long way to any alternative. nice spacious bedroom in separate chalet from hotel with sizeable bathroom. spectacular location, and exciting weather laid on!
Cons: mattress too hard, and someone forgot to empty the wastebin in our room. we'd been to the hotel twice before, 45 years ago and 20 years ago, and it's changed hands and character. the maitre d' /receptionist was bit severe but the other staff were very friendly and helpful; though some still learning. it's expensive and we had to pay the same rate for our single son as we did, understandable in terms of room occupancy, but some allowance could be made for the fact that he only consumed one breakfast!

Cons: N/A
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Have stayed a few times and never been disappointed.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms in the Inn were very recently refurbished and that resulted in a very clean and newish feel. A comfortable bed, a cabinet, small desk and two purple chairs provided all we need for a night. View from the room on the bay, even though partially blocked by parked cars is spectacular. Tea and coffee can be made in-room, the caramel biscuit bar a nice touch and the shower was as good as it gets: hot and powerful. Drinks in the lively pub was another high; it was Saturday evening and we could enjoy happy hour. A local event in the ground floor restaurant meant that we had to take our evening meal in the restaurant on the first floor, but that proved to be an excellent venue for the occasion. Food quality was not only good, but also value for money, and breakfast next morning was outstanding (try the locally smoked salmon with scrambled eggs) The Hotel copy of Lonely Planet's Ultimate Eatlist was so fingerlicking good to look at that I ordered my own copy almost immediately.
Cons: Make sure that you can maneuver your car into the spots in front of the in the Hotel, if you come by car that is. There is a small hook next to the door to hang the hotel key on, but there is still space for 2 coat hooks that would make it possible to avoid using the chest. There are two keys in the same shape and color, one for the front door and one for the room door. How easy would it be to color-code one of the keys as the one that opens the front door? When we were kindly shown our rooms upon arrival our host had a 50% chance to get the right key for the first door and another 50% for the second door. He had the wrong key twice.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable, breakfast was good, all staff very pleasant, good food and nice bar.
Cons: Could have done with music playing in the bar when we were having a few drinks.

7.5 Good
Pros: Goo location, needs some update. Fine for 1 night
8.0 Excellent
Pros: great views
Cons: Nothing
4.0 Okay
Pros: Not a lot, apart from the location. But with a view from the room onto a flat roof, if it was far from ideal.
Cons: Very basic facilities. Food was very expensive. Breakfast was served in a different hotel although only a very short distance away. No heating in the bathroom, which was very cold. I will not be re- booking this accommodation in future.
1.0 Poor
Pros: V close to ferry
Cons: No reply to my email request. I booked a night as my ferry from Ullapool to Stornoway was 50/50 to be cancelled due to the storm. When the ferry did sail at the last minute unexpectedly and I didn’t need to stay at the Ferry Boat I emailed to see if they would waive the £60 cost. They didn’t reply - and didn’t waive this. I understand the cost was not refundable but thought they might make an exception given the unusual weather/ circumstances.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Scenary
Cons: The standard of this hotel is not exceptable in this day an age - visitors really do expect better facilities
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely setting..friendly staff.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Seaview from our bedroom window was fabulous. Very friendly staff in the bar and the food was excellent. Room was clean and plenty hot water.
Cons: A few of the common areas could do with a bit of redecoration.

7.9 Good
Pros: Cracking breakfast
Cons: Bar closed
8.0 Excellent
Pros: An old sprawling hotel smack in the middle of the village. Lovely character as expected from a hotel built in the early 1900s. A good spread for breakfast with variety. Parking behind hotel with door access to rooms. Easy stroll around town with a good number of restaurants and bars. Our room and bathroom were quite large for European standards.
Cons: Hotel could use a bit of an update but was clean and in prime location for village. Creaky floors and a bit of noise from town so light sleepers may need to prepare.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location close to the harbor was ideal for people travelling to/from the Isle of Lewis and Harris. Breakfast was great. The hotel does not have an elevator so people who can't do stairs should ask for the first floor.
Cons: My husband had difficulties going up and down the stairs with luggage.
6.7 Good
Cons: Rooms alittle dated and not clean
5.0 Okay
Pros: Friendly, polite staff Location is good
Cons: Mattress had springs pushing through. Toilet didn't flush Lamps not working Food was all very disappointing quality and poorly cooked. Cutlery stuck to tables, told varnish was soft so everything stuck to the tables. Worst of all told there was WiFi in room but signal too week to go online.

Pros: Well worth the money for what you get
