5.0 Okay
Pros: Comfy bed. Nice staff
Cons: Basic decor. All very dated.
7.1 Good
Pros: Staff and location
Cons: 1970/80 interior ill looking eggs and black pudding had spots
5.0 Okay
Pros: To never stay again.
Cons: No hot water, hairs in bath, woken up at 6am by bin wagon; generally a tired hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were clean and practical. The swimming pool was warm, but there was no jacuzzi. The hotel in general was traditional.
Cons: We booked this very last minute as we were already in Shaftesbury and needed somewhere urgently. I felt the rate was a bit expensive for the facilities. However it was in line with other hotels in the area.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Breakfast was shocking out of date yogurt no orange juice no glasses and no salmon bit of a disaster
7.0 Good
Pros: Receptionist was very polite, and the room was very spacious. Ideal location for Gold Hill.
Cons: Grounds could do with a tidy up.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious and clean. A group of us ate in the restaurant in the evening and breakfast was included. The food and service were very good and the staff were friendly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely spacious room, very comfortable bed and generous supplies of nice toiletries including bubble bath. They left us some vanilla fudge to have when we arrived.
Cons: The only thing we could fault was that they ran out of a few breakfast things on our second morning when we were later to breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and comfortable rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful, cosy yet impressive hotel just when we needed one!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was spacious, clean and well presented. Staff very friendly. Food was very good. Being in the Main Street of the town walking distance to gold hill another tourist attractions.
Cons: Some may find using the town long stay car park a problem but that said the hotel gives you a permit
7.3 Good
Pros: Excellent location - bedrooms had a touch of class - more a young mans business hotel as there could have been more mirrors and plugs for a lady for hair and makeup - not enough adequate light in bathroom for makeup either. Shower was nice and clean as was the bedroom but felt the design of the shower needed to have a few alterations as water tended to go everywhere due to design and long term this was spoiling skirting boards and floor. Maybe a more permanent finish to bathroom as shelving was disintigrating with soap etc., Nice touch to have deent coffee in room and fresh coffee for breakfast. Food at breakfast was very tasty and well presented.
Cons: It would have been nice to have either normal milk or cream in bedroom to go with the excellent coffee instead of substitute milk.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Every member off staff were extremely attentative to our needs and the food was absolutely gorgeous!!! What a lovely building in a lovely town, we had a lovely stay as a guest in your hotel and the bed was soooo comfortable we didn't want to get up!!!!
Cons: A few minor adjustments to the bathroom fittings in room 16 would be useful ie toilet roll holder could be positioned closer to the toilet, and a bit more space/shelving around the washbasin area for our own toiletries would be useful as it was awkward using the shelf below the washstand.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: VERY GOOD BREAKFAST. TASTEFUL AND COMFORTABLE ROOM. REALLY COSY AND FRIENDLY PUB, PERFECT FOR A COUPLES GETAWAY. ENJOYABLE STAY.
Cons: THE BATHROOM IS BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED AND THE SHOWER FITTING LOOKS LOVELY BUT NEEDS TO BE ROTATED 3 TIMES CLOCKWISE TO GET HOT WATER SO UNCOMFORTABLE TO GET HOT WATER . FOLLOWED BY ONLY A CEILING SHOWER HEAD THAT SPRAYED THE WATER ALL OVER THE BATHROOM MAKING THE BATHROOM AND BEDROOM FULL OF RUNNING CONDENSATION EVEN WHEN DIRECTING THE ROSE AWAY FROM YOUR BODY. IT WAS A REAL SHAME!
7.1 Good
Pros: Location, old charm
Cons: Freezing cold night no heating, no tissues in room hardly any tea or milk, need helmet for low beams banged head. too many dogs coming up and bothering you in dining area, all smelled due to being wet.
