Pros: I loved the helpful staff and community vibe. The best part though was how magical everything looked and felt - it seemed like a tropical secret garden!
Pros: Chef Jerome was amazing. The outdoor showers were different and an awesome experience. the zen music and overall vibes from the guest house were truly amazing and I couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The dreamcatcher was like an oasis. I feel recharged and better overall after staying there for a few nights. Truly it is a unique and life changing experience!
Cons: The distance between our room and the bathroom was a bit far, especially in the middle of the night. You have to walk outside in the dark if you are staying in an artist room. But I guess bags apart of the whole experience.
Pros: This place is run by some buddhist (?) owners, so the atmosphere is very pleasant, peaceful and quiet. Guests have the possibility to take part in the community life (for example to join yoga lessons) but are not forced to anything. The only limitation is that if you want to use the kitchen, you are asked not to make meat as it is strictly vegetarian. The rooms are very well designed and very clean. The public spaces are also very nice and clean with a lot of trees, bushes, gekons and birds. As the house is in the gated community just one vlock from the beach, it is away from main traffic and therefore very quiet. We felt like in another world and did not mind at all that there are shared bathrooms only. I highly recommend to stay in this place if you want to rest.
Just 4.5 mi (7.2 km) from the airport, The Dreamcatcher puts you within a 15-minute drive of San Juan Gate and Puerto Rico Convention Center. Freebies like WiFi and self parking are added perks, and guests can keep active with onsite surfing/boogie boarding. Other highlights at this boutique guest house include a terrace and a garden.
Pros: We had an excellent time, highlight was that our room window opened fully, facing the ocean. Beautiful!
Pros: The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Pools were lovely and clean (slightly chilly for my taste). Adults only area was nice. Only tried the patio restaurant which was very good, but pricey ($50 for french toast, OJ, single egg and sausage).
Cons: Room air conditioner had issues. Maintenance was unable to solve the issue and did not notify front desk that the issue was not fixed.
Cons: I arrived at 3:40 pm and was told that the room I booked is not available. The front desk staff guaranteed that it would be ready by 4pm, but when I came back at 4:06pm I was told again the room is not ready. I finally checked in by 5pm and nobody explained why. They gave me two key cards and one doesn't work which kept me out of the room when I came back from swimming the other day. It is the most terrible experience that I have and I definitely don't recommend this hotel
Cons: Still holding money on my credit card.
Pros: The rooms were luxurious yet charming, the staff was very helpful and the pool/lounge area was great
Cons: Not much to dislike.
Pros: Everything was Fantastic
Pros: Everything! outdoor spaces, great food, rooms spacious and confortable, amazing view of the ocean everywhere. One of the best hotels I've stayed in. Would love to come back.
Pros: Excellent venue.
Cons: Poor staff. Very stuffy. Don't use Uber as the staff will ask you to have the Uber pick you up at the curb vs the hotel entrance.
Pros: Beautiful room - even the pull out couch was extremely comfortable - memory foam mattress! The lobby staff (registration, concierge, bell hop, etc) was very attentive and friendly. The hotel has a very classic feel of old luxury. I would definitely stay there again!
Cons: The beach was actually over at the neighboring hotel, they said we would have full service at their beach but every time we went, they were "out" of umbrellas on the Vanderbilt side of the beach. We counted and they only had about 12 umbrellas in total for Vanderbilt guests which is ridiculous! Also the are designated for Vanderbilt is over in the corner without a direct view of the ocean. I was disappointed.
Pros: I love the service everyone was so kind and helpful. The hotel was beautiful inside and out.
At Condado Vanderbilt Hotel, you can spend time at the beach enjoying cabanas, beach umbrellas, and sun loungers, plus you'll be within a 10-minute drive of San Juan Cathedral. 4 outdoor pools provide fun for everyone, while guests in the mood for pampering can visit the spa to indulge in massages, aromatherapy, and hydrotherapy. 1919 Restaurant, one of 3 restaurants, serves Mediterranean cuisine and is open for dinner. There are 4 bars/lounges and a poolside bar, and rooms at this luxurious hotel get the details right with deep soaking tubs and premium bedding.
Pros: Beautiful hotel, wonderful hosts, located in an old world city.
Pros: Every staff interaction was terrific. Friendly, eager, helpful, welcoming. Front desk, restaurant (tapas bar, food and staff shine!)
History just walks the halls with you!
The rooftop pool and hot tub with harbor view at sunset was something special.
Then we left a coat behind, and discovered it after our cruise ship left, they packed it up and Shipped it home.
Cons: Having to leave so soon. Should have booked a much longer stay!
Pros: The attention to detail and quality was evident in the furnishings and finishes of the hotel. The staff as courteous and responsive and the daily guest wine and cheese reception was a nice touch. It's location is hard to beat and the hotel blends well into the historical city of Old San Juan.
Cons: There is a lot of traffic directly outside. Not good for early check in.
Pros: I liked everything. The staff was incredibly accommodating. The hotel itself was amazing and exactly what I wanted, which was a place with character and charm. Do yourself a favor and stay here.
Pros: It's a historic building with an invaluable art collection.
Cons: Their claim to have a pool is ludicrous.
Located in the heart of Old San Juan, El Convento, a member of Historic Hotels of America and Small Luxury Hotel's of the World, has set new standards of luxury, comfort and service while preserving the unique character and mystique of the hotel. A former Carmelite convent built three hundred years ago, El Convento was completely refurbished with special attention given to the preservation of the original structure. Each of the 58 rooms and suites recreates Spain's golden age while the entertainment system, Wi Fi internet access, and modern bathrooms fulfill the needs of today's traveler. Relax by the pool and enjoy the magnificent view from the terrace while you sip a glass of wine. Dining is a constant joy at El Convento. From the casual patio restaurant to the regal splendor of the Jose Campeche ballroom you will enjoy a true culinary delight.
Pros: Olive Hotel was first class service. Wonderful staff. Very friendly and my wife and I always looked forward going back to relax and the roof top bar and pool was just perfect!
Pros: The Olive Boutique Hotel was absolutely perfect for a solo traveler or couple staying in the Condado area of Puerto Rico. The location was great. It is situated just off of Ashford Avenue where all the hustle and bustle is, BUT remains relatively quiet because of its juxtaposition. The staff was awesome and so friendly. They really got to know you as a guest in the hotel and they were all so helpful with tips and finding your way around the island. I went solo for a birthday vacation and my stay was beyond wonderful. My room was comfy, cozy, and gorgeous. I received little treats everyday and even a bottle of champagne to celebrate my birthday! Everything is in walking distance and the beach is just across the street! What more could you ask for?
Cons: The fact that I had to leave!
Pros: Its an amazing boutique hotel
Better than expected!!
A unique luxury boutique hotel inspired by the fascinating journeys of the owners to the Mediterranean. The dcor is designed to transport guests to the allure of the European lifestyle in a Caribbean scenario. Located in the fashionable Condado area, the hotel has a fabulous rooftop with lagoon views and private verandas in all rooms. Its ultrachic restaurant, Sage Steak Loft, is one of San Juans finest new restaurants by local celebrity Chef Mario Pagan. You might recognize Chef Mario Pagan from his appearance at Food Networks Iron Chef. O:live Boutique Hotel is part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World and recently won the title of Best New Boutique Hotel of 2013 and Worlds Best Design Boutique Hotel in 2014 by the prestigious boutique hotel awards in London. Adults only hotel.
Cons: Breakfast potatoes. I would like a more veggie friendly breakfast
Pros: You are a few miles from the pier at Hyatt House. Good complimentary breakfast.
Pros: Friendly staff, all in good condition, everything is new. The location is in the San Juan convention center district, we book it for a convention and we walk to all the activities. Nice view to the harbor and the cruise line. If you are traveling to take a cruise (Royal Caribbean terminal) it just right there. Overall is a 4 star hotel.
Hyatt House San Juan provides a comfortable environment that remind guest of home. The Hotel features 126 spacious rooms that feature Atlantic Ocean and San Juan Bay views. Located in the Puerto Rico Convention center district and next to San Juan Bay Marina. The hotel is conveniently located just 10 minutes from The Luis Munoz International Airport and steps away from Historic Old San Juan, Condado area and Ocean Park Beach.
Pros: Proof super friendly and helpful and the place was awesome!!!! Perfect location
Pros: La Terraza is a beautifully restored hotel with tile flooring, alcoves, and a beautiful rooftop terrace. There are modern touches as well like walk in showers, flat screen TVs, and a rather reasonably priced mini bar. The beds were very comfortable and the view from the terrace was pretty impressive. Last but not least, Carmen, the front desk manager/coffee barista was incredibly charming, kind, and knowledgeable. If you're looking for a place to stay in Old San Juan, this is it!
Cons: There is virtually no street parking available which I believe is just a symptom of that part of the city. However, there is a parking garage around the corner but it's a flat rate of $20/24-hrs so be prepared. We also had a difficult time getting to the hotel once we reached Old San Juan due to construction and lots of one way streets. I suggest avoiding the rental car and using some sort of public transport or your own two legs.
Pros: Quaint. The staff was very friendly and hospitable. It was a perfect location for seeing old San Juan
Cons: The room we had was next to the kitchen so we heard noises throughout the night. But it wasn't bad and I would still come back. My wife and I loved the room overall.
Pros: The facilities and staff were excellent. Beautiful rooms, old world charm with modern water pressure and comfy beds. St. Germain is just down the street, and fabulous coffee right around the corner.
Cons: The infinity pool is hoy tub sized, but the view is lovely.
Pros: The hotel had so much character and thought put into every detail. our room was gorgeous! They were very accommodating about us leaving our luggage in a side room when we were several hours early for check in.
La Terraza de San Juan features a rooftop terrace and puts you within a 5-minute walk of San Juan Cathedral and Castillo de San Cristobal. Guests indulge in massages, then grab a bite to eat at the coffee shop/café. There are 3 bars/lounges and an outdoor pool, and rooms at this Colonial hotel get the details right with premium bedding and rainfall showerheads.
Pros: We loved the atmosphere and the staff. The rooms were fun and the whole family was comfortable. We would stay here again and recommend it to our friends visiting Old San Juan!
Pros: I liked the location on Calle Fortaleza, close to good restaurants and to parking lot.
Cons: The room was incredibly small.
I need to talk to someone in the front desk to get my key, and they had a sign that says "for help text x number". Nobody answered until the next day when I had left already. How did I finally get my key? I opened the desk and there it was, no help, no security, no supervision. I just took it and kept going.
Pros: This was our second visit. We love the historic and quaint atmosphere this hotel provides, exactly the experience we wanted in Old San Juan. This small hotel is not crowded and staff treat you like a personal guest. They go above and beyond to help you and ensure you enjoy your stay.
Cons: It can be a bit noisy but at no fault of the hotel. When you stay on Fortaleza St you are in the center of the action and hear music from neighboring restaurants. We did not mind this. Being in the center of things was important to us and we felt part of the activity and excitement that is Old San Juan.
Pros: This is a very charming little hotel in a great location in the middle of Old San Juan, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I highly recommend it.
Cons: The bed was pretty hard.
I overpaid because I booked through this site. I would have paid much less booking with the hotel directly. I recommend you do that.
Pros: Hotel was very cleaned, staff was so attentive and personable, room was comfortable enough for 2 people.
Cons: I very much enjoyed staying at this hotel, but it does not meet the lowest level of fire safety standards. There is only one open stairway leading to all the floors and no secondary means of escape--not even a fire escape. There is not separation between the lobby and the restaurant. There is no sprinkler system.
Pros: We loved our stay at this cozy little boutique hotel in the heart of Old San Juan! Lots of character and small rooms (which we liked and found so comfortable). Loved the chandeliers in the bedroom and even bathroom! The staff was so accommodating and friendly and hauled my overstuffed, incredibly heavy bag all the way up 5 flights of stairs with no problem (they don't have an elevator yet). The rooftop was so unique and overlooked the city too! I would highly recommend if you're looking for a different kind of experience than the Hilton and big chain hotels.
Cons: They're currently installing an elevator but the staff will gladly carry bags up the stairs for you.
Pros: The position is great , the staff is excellent, clean, nice, the best place to walk Old San Juan
Pros: Staff was super friendly and helpful. Joyce promptly answered my emails/questions before we got there. Location was perfect. Right in Old Town San Juan.
Cons: Couldn't find an outlet in the bathroom. Made it a bit more difficult to get ready in the morning. Room was small but wasn't an issue for us because we were only in our room to sleep.
Pros: Beautiful hotel!!! Excellent staff! Fantastic location. Our A/C was leaking and they could not get it to stop. The hotel had no other rooms available so to fix the problem they moved us to a nearby hotel. The new place was beautiful as well and it felt like we got an upgraded room. We were very impressed with how the situation was resolved so quickly and smoothly.
Cons: Nothing! Would have loved to have stayed there if the A/C would have stopped leaking. But they fixed the situation very quickly.
CasaBlanca Hotel features a rooftop terrace and puts you within a 10-minute walk of La Fortaleza - Palacio de Santa Catalina and San Juan Cathedral. For a bite to eat, guests can check out Cafe Americain, which serves local cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Rooms at this Mediterranean hotel offer up nice touches like comfy beds and designer toiletries, along with flat-screen TVs and room service.
Pros: Great staff and great accommodations! We only ate once at this hotel but it was very pricey but the food was above average. Hotel is in a great location and is within walking distance of many restaurants and other attractions. I would visit again!
Cons: Obviously pricing of hotel restaurants is going to be pricey but it was pretty steep. I wish they offered something along the lines of a free continental breakfast. Other than this I cannot complain!
Pros: Great pool for toddlers! Awesome restaurants and service. For lunch La Isla restaurant kebobs are highly recommended. Our room had a ocean view that ir worth the extra money.
Cons: Beach is great but watch out for little kids cause waves are unpredictable and can get very strong from one second to another. I suggest keep them at the shore.
Pros: EMPLOYEES VERY NICE WORK VERY HARD TO PLEASE YOU
Cons: LOBBY MUSIC VERY LOUD I USED EAR PLUGS
Pros: Nice hotel, a little bit old
Staff members are great
Location is one of the best in San Juan
Nice Beach front, nice poll area, everything else is below average
You have CSV, Walgreens, and many restaurants walking distance
Cons: Everything is overpriced
Rooms are old and small
Bar is noisy and crowd not cool at all
Casino area looks aweful I didn't wasted time on it
Pros: I love how they had all the Amenities on site, and the Staff was Polite always willing to help and offer refreshments.
Cons: The Rooms had a little Moldy Smell. Other wise my kids love the Pool and the Beach.
Pros: Location is amazing. Condado area is vibrant. Great restaurants, great sightseeing.
Cons: Our room had roaches and after getting a minor upgrade, things went downhill. In the fine print, breakfast package excluded my 12 year old daughter, which put us in a weird place because we were then forced to pay for the overpriced breakfast or take her somewhere to eat.
The hotel muddled up our booking. We received wrong expectations about our room, which ended up Being small and cramped. Hotel management isn't empowered to take care of customers and we received an "it-is-what-it-is" attitude from the staff. After asking, they said that for a discounted fee, we could upgrade. The total amount meant $250 out of pocket which we couldn't do. This was even after letting them know it was our first time staying there and we were in town to celebrate my brother in law's birthday.
The hotel restaurant's food was bland and the quality is not 4 star level. Chefs couldn't even get a boiled egg right for our 18-month old. Every morning, we had to request it at least twice.
Room service was poor and slow: a simple order of chicken tenders with ice cream jumped from $12 to $23, between tax and the high delivery fee. To make things worse, after almost an hour, the order arrived with missing silverware and napkins for which we had to call again.
Was so let down by this experience. Go to La Concha a block down. The few extra dollars will be well worth it.
Pros: I saw all the resorts and this on has the best bang for your buck. I am a young doctor and went with my girlfriend and did extensive research on best water front resorts and this is the one because of the pool and service. Becareful other hotels are in front of rocky beaches that will ruin your vacation. This has great beach prime location and amazing options on things to do.
Pros: Staff is really courteous, upgraded our room for free. Always smiling, will help you no matter what. Had an amazing stay, and will definitely come back again.
Pros: We loved the amenities, cleanliness , and attentiveness of staff in addition the local of the hotel to all different conviniences
Cons: Nothing to dislike
Pros: Our family loved the close proximity to the beach.
Cons: Taxis were too expensive. There's not enough public transportation.
Pros: Service from the staff was excellent. View from our room was fantastic. Room and grounds were kept very clean. Beach was lovely and kept clean. We really enjoyed our stay and would like to return.
Cons: A little pricey. Also someone was smoking on their balcony. We could not sit on our balcony one evening because of the smokers. I was told that the hotel policy allows smoking on the balconies as long as their balcony door remains shut. That may be fine to keep smoke out of the room but it doesn't help guests in nearby rooms. Smoking should not be allowed anywhere on the grounds, including balconies.
Pros: Wonderful live music at pool and in lobby. Beautiful beach, plenty of chairs and umbrellas. Nice pool, just a little chilly.
Cons: Food is so-so and overpriced (no big surprise).

Pros: Location pool and cleanliness were excellent. All staff very pleasant especially mishi at the pool bar

Pros: Nice.we would recommend it to anyone for a short stay..
Pros: I loved the staff are excellent the pool area is fascinating, as the fourth very cute and the food deluciosa

Pros: I liked the fact that everything was very clean and neat, even thou the hotel is almot at the end of the street,
It's still walkable to the rest of the places you would like to go..(shopping, food, entertainment, beach).
Cons: On the other hand I didn't like the fact that they have extra charges after you pay everything online, they charge you for parking, $10.00 per night and also $28.00 extra per night... Those were the other charges after we had already paid everything online.. Just keep in mind that you have would have to pay "extra"

Cons: Lost my eyeglasses , i called first they say they found one and later no trace of them.. .strange.
Pros: Good location, everything was clean, great staff.
Cons: Parking not included.
Pros: Live that the rooms were clean and modern.
Staff was super friendly and helpful.
Cons: It was a bit of a walk to hot spots. If you're ok with walking 10 minutes or more to the nearest hot spot then your stay will be a walk on the beach!
Pros: Hotel staff were friendly and informative. All areas of hotel were very tidy. I felt very welcomed and appreciated during my stay.
Cons: The foot sham on the bed had stains. Cleaning service did not clean the glasses we used in the room. Hallways were quite cold for my taste. A bit pricey. Seems to be the norm in San Juan.
Pros: free cookies and ping pong table. staff was very friendly
Cons: Lobby smelled like sewage. there was a stain on one of the towels. The bed comforter looked dirty, but I think it was actually the stuffing just clumped together from washing many times.
Pros: It was a wonderful experience. The staff was warm and friendly, and the room was immaculate.
Pros: La localizacion
Cons: Precios altos, el area de la picina pequeña y tenia muchas ojas. Me cobraron dos veces la trasancion y no me ofrecieron algún descuento o estadia. Aun espero por mi credito de vuelta.
Pros: Gave us access to Isla Verde Marriott courtyard facilities as well. Staff was great! Across the street from a supermarket, near plenty of restaurants.
Cons: Hotel menu was unimpressive, pool area not attached to the beach, but really there is a ton to like about this hotel!
Pros: Customer service
Cons: House keeping. They took too long to clean our floor.
Pros: Good location, lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance.
Pros: Excellent staff and service
Cons: Resort fees but this would go for all hotels in the area.

Cons: The sushi place next to the hotel. They don't let you park your rental in front of their business. Typical Chinese folks. Lol
Pros: Was here for a short, two-night stay after spending a few days in Culebra. The front desk staff was extremely nice when checking in. I forgot my water downstairs at the desk and the employee who checked us in ran all the way up to our room to return it even though it was half full and he could have just thrown it away.
They recommended both the hotel's restaurant, Zabo, as well as a local food truck for dinner; as we got in quite late. We ended up at Zabo that night and the food was great, pretty fairly priced, and the service was fantastic.
The hotel doesn't have a pool, but the rooftop deck is beautiful with jacuzzis and an incredible view of the city. The rooms are pretty small, but very nicely decorated and clean. Would stay here again for the staff alone. They go the extra mile and really care about their guests!

Pros: Modern look that is on the beach with pools and in a nice area. Every part of the hotel was clean including the gym and toilets. The restaurants were also excellent with good choices and healthy options available. Overall awesome and would definitely recommend this luxurious hotel.
Cons: Resort fees. I feel that the hotel is priced right and that there is no reason to tack on resort fees. Drinks a little pricey
Pros: hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. hotel was right on the water, great drinks and food. Located in a nice area to walk around at any time of the day. Close to shopping, and local restaurants. Hotel guests were a mix of families, couples, business, and groups of friends. There was an adult only pool as well as 3 others. Will definitely be going back and staying here!
Pros: Well maintained despite not being a new resort;
Modern, comfortable and clean rooms;
Large staff and very friendly and accommodating;
Adult pool! It was the most quiet and least congested area. Not sure some people knew it was there.
If you like resorts and don't mind the crowds you will enjoy this hotel.
Cons: Party-like atmosphere on the weekend- if that's what you want you will have a great time. Personally, I didn't like the music on the beach. Also, the beach is fairly narrow and the main beach area and pool area are both crowded with chairs very close to one another. I prefer more space and don't want to be sitting an inch away from a total stranger. It can be tough to find the sun in the afternoon when the hotel casts a shadow on the beach. Scope out a good spot early.
Pros: Loved the suite with full kitchen. Would do this again!
Cons: HOusekeeping was not cleaning room if I did not ask or let them know I was out. Room did not get made up last day at all, and I was out all day.
Pros: The beach and pool facilities are great
Cons: My room did not electricity for 48 hours, the hotel would not offer much more than a complimentary buffet breakfast.
Pros: Vibrant, entertaining but also relaxing and luxurious. Staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. The facility was clean, never noticed bathroom soap, towels, tissue empty or a mess. Room was a suite with ample space, balcony and kitchenette. It seemed much more suited to adults only but there were families. Location was great, right on the beach. Bikes were available which we took into Old San Juan. I would stay here again and again with adults.
Cons: On occasion, I felt that the music was too loud (ack! I'm getting old!) But that was really it.
Pros: I loved the 3 different pool options. We used the adult pool the entire time, which is much quieter and has a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the ocean.
Most staff were so friendly and helpful.
Menu is pretty reasonable and prices are comparable to surrounding area, except quality is much much better. Tuna salad was my favorite thing by far.
Cons: Mixed drinks were weak and pricey.
Rules weren't always enforced. Example, there was a 5 year old at the adult pool for about 2 hours until someone finally noticed. We were also told we couldn't bring our own mixed drinks to the pool, yet others would blatantly have a 6 pack from cvs out in the open.
Hallways were a little dingy.
Pros: Beautiful hotel with open lobby and modern clean feeling.
Cons: Even though the reservation was a prepaid, I still got hosed with a resort fee. A couple of bottles of water and a beach chair shouldn't cost 25 bucks. Got the runaround as to why my Marriott status was worth nothing at this resort property.
Pros: All 3 pools were beautiful. Definitely worth the upgrade to an OceanView Suite. The views are out of this world! Restaurants all had good food, even poolside. Pleasantly surprised. Would definitely return To PR and stay here again.
Cons: Nothing to complain about
Pros: location and beach were great.
Pros: The staff were brilliant, extremely helpful and attentive. The porter staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The front of house was professional and again could not do enough to help. the room was clean and tidy and the facilities excellent. Given I was also working due to plane delays, the addition of fast internet made working extremely easy. The restaurant was also excellent and the location of the hotel perfect, within easy reach of both golden sands and pools with 2 jacuzzis.
Cons: After my stay in the Marriott Stellaris (sister hotel to La Concha) about 1/4 mile away I was not a fan. This hotel shows them how it should be done. I can't rate either casino as I don't gamble but aside from that I could not fault La Concha Renaissance and would happily go again. I would not return to the Stellaris though.

Pros: I think the staff was very friendly and helpful. The guys who work at the pool bar and the breakfast staff who works in the cafe. However I would say the front desk staff was my favorite. Thank you so much for making my vacation one of the best vacation ever!
Pros: Love the casino love the Metropole restaurant love the pool
Cons: I don't like it there is not a beach in the hotel
Pros: I loved the Club Lounge. The breakfast was superb. Every staff member I interacted with was super friendly and helpful.
Cons: The food was very expensive and to be honest, the yellow walls reminded me of a high school (and not the good kind).
Pros: Hotel is clean and friendly staff
Cons: Location isn't the best taxi to old San Juan was about 15.00 dollars each way. No restaurants nearby so you have to get a taxicab and can become costly.
Pros: The cleanliness was great, housekeeping department was extraordinary. The people at the Cafe on the lobby were great.
Cons: Some of the staff at the front desk were not that polite as I was expecting since I am an SPG member.
Cons: Housekeeping is mediocre, they take too much time to get the whole floor clean.
Pros: The infinity pool was great! Rooms were nice and beds were extremely comfortable.
Cons: The rooms didn't have vents and the food and drinks are expensive.
Pros: Good location and hotel looks great
Cons: The bedding. The sheets were really dirty and if you pull the comforter up to the light you can see all the dust and deadskin That has been collecting into the comforter and it is digusting.
Pros: The view the infinitity pool and the casino
Cons: The staff at nice and also they don't change your sheets everyday unless it's requested
Pros: The rooms are clean, facility well kept, and staff friendly
Cons: The bed was not as comfortable as we expected
Pros: It was close to convention center.
Cons: It does not have facilities to clean your clothes at your own. It should have a small laundry area. I stayed 4 days for a volleyball tournament, and I had to clean the uniforms by hand everyday. They just have a few fridges we were put on a wait list and never call us.
Pros: Rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable. The staff was warm and friendly. Loved the total non-smoking environment which amazingly included the casino. We also appreciated having the green option available for opting out of daily room service.
Cons: Had difficulty getting service in their restaurant in the evenings. In fact, one evening we were the only two patrons and after being seated for 10+ minutes with no waitperson approaching us, we left to go eat elsewhere. However, breakfast was great!
Situated in the midst of the Puerto Rico Convention Center District and next to the marina, our hotel is a district centerpiece that is conveniently located just 10 minutes from the international airport and five minutes from historic Old San Juan. An abundance of on-site activities are sure to keep you busy and relaxed. In our 503 stylish rooms, including 22 superbly appointed suites, state-of-the-art amenities will help you rest easily: 40" flat-panel televisions, Wi-Fi access, a spacious and well-lit desk, and the Sheraton Signature Sleep Experience for great comfort.
Pros: Location is great. The whole vibe in the area is awesome. Great friendly staff. Beautiful hotel. Loved it. Would recommend.
Pros: Great location in Old San Juan. We were going on a Windstar cruise and were able to walk the short distance to our ship. The staff was very helpful and our room was comfortable.
Pros: staff & location
El Cervantes Hotel puts you in a great location, within just a 10-minute walk of La Fortaleza - Palacio de Santa Catalina and Castillo de San Cristobal. You can relax with a drink at the bar/lounge, and the restaurant is the perfect spot to grab a bite to eat. Also, San Juan Cathedral and San Juan Gate are within a 15-minute walk.
Cons: Doors with a traditional key, very hard to latch, lock or unlock. Everybody was slamming the doors all night long. Not sure how many people that stayed there have made a copy of the key.
I've got an elevator shaft in my room. Yes, really. My room was built around an elevator shaft. Bed was on one side right next to the door which was next to the elevator door. Bathroom was on the other side, AC was there too. To get to the bathroom from my bed I had to go around behind the elevator shaft. Also didn't get much cold air from AC, it was too hot and you can imagine all the noise.
My room was also oriented to the street where every five minutes somebody stopped their car with loud music all night long.
I couldn't sleep at all. Too hot, noise coming from AC, elevator, people talking while waiting for elevator, people slamming the doors, noise from car stereos. I could just have stayed at the airport sleeping on the floor for free.
Breakfast was very simple, served outside, in the hot, humid weather. Wind was constantly blowing my napkins and stuff away.
Transportation from the airport did cost too much because the hotel was not listed in any zone. Paid $20. The hotel is exactly between the airport and the cruise port, which costs $10 to transfer between.
They took a photocopy of my credit card including the CVV code and my ID, which violates PCI compliance BTW, when I asked them for how long they are going to store it, they couldn't tell me when they are going to shred it, probably never.
The Italian restaurant near by, I don't even.... Just don't.
Pros: great value
everything as listed...no surprises
great location, safe tourist area and friendly staff
super free coffee machine available all day
mini bar in room with more than reasonable prices
will definitely be my first choice if I return to PR
Cons: if you are there for a pre-cruise be forwarned that the breakfast area is small and although the staff are great they were overwhelmed but still managed to take care of everyone with a smile, just plan a little extra time for breakfast !
Coral Princess Hotel features a rooftop terrace and puts you within a 10-minute drive of San Juan Gate and Puerto Rico Convention Center. Guests can take a dip in the outdoor pool, and the spa tub makes for a relaxing end to the day. Rooms at this romantic hotel offer up nice touches like jetted tubs and pillowtop beds with Egyptian cotton sheets.
Pros: The bathrooms were amazing! Balcony, the buffet style breakfast in the morning was amazing!
Cons: After a week the bed got hard but that was the only thing!
Pros: Good breakfast included, friendly staff, and convenient parking lot next to hotel for $17/day.
Only negative was that the location was loud and noisy at night (due to busy popular location) and we were woken up while sleeping.
Lobby: very clean, with friendly staff at front desk. Nice aquarium. Free water and coffee. Plenty of room to sit and lounge with descent music and accessible large screen televisions.
Location: across the street from walgreens. On the corner of Ashford Avenue. Most places within walking distance.
Wrong room: we reserved a king bed but instead we were given two Queens without being told. We found when we walked into the room that it was the wrong room. The front desk eventually corrected the mistake
Poor vector control: there were ants and roaches in the room. ants on the carpet and night stand. Woken up to a dead roach on the floor near the door
Poor AC: the window AC wasn't able to make the room cooler than 73 degrees Fahrenheit despite the setting being at a lower number
Dirty towels: the white towels had stains on them and would leave lint on the skin after drying off
Bedding: stiff bed. Their was no underlying bed liner
Parking : an open lot behind the hotel with no visible security presence.
Pros: Everybody was so nice to us!
Cons: Needs room service ASAP
Pros: GREAT value in an AWESOME location with great views!
Pros: Overall service.
Cons: It was ok. No identifiable faults.
Pros: The distance to the beach, the location in terms of dining/night life
Cons: Everything was great at the hotel except breakfast. We stayed there for 4 days and 3 out of 4 there was at least something to eat but the las day was going into the weekend so it got busier. By 8:45 AM all the food was gone and they had nothing to re-fill it with. It wasn't just one item but omelettes, side, sausage, cereal, and even pastrywas gone. When I asked the floor manager if they have absolutely anything to eat he was very unapologetic and said we should have come earlier
Pros: Excellent staff and breakfast
Pros: Nice s
Pros: Cleanliness and lots to do within walking distance
Cons: All the homeless people laying around in the area
Pros: Nice amenities. Very clean and accesible. Comfortable. Nice breakfast.
Cons: The bathroom smelled too much to clorox. Expensive parking.

Pros: Staff was very helpful in recommending somewhere to eat. Beds were very comfortable and they were accommodating to my needs.
Cons: Would really like my money back. I have told everyone I know to NOT book through Kayak nor stay at this girl.
Pros: Great stay but had ask repeatedly for washcloths. Going green ( no maid service, just fresh towels ) was pefect....and received a $5 coupon each day you go green. Used it in the restaurant. Downside, they forgot to give it to us one day. And still no washcloths!!
Another downside, cable reception was horrible all 4 nights!!! No TV for longer than 20 or so minutes. Very aggravating. So dont expect to relax to a movie or occupy the kiddies while you get ready for dinner. Front desk never had an answer and nothing they could do.
Otherwise, great location, comfy beds, quiet hallways at night.
Pros: Very comfortable bed and size of the room.
Cons: Some hallway noise.
Pros: Great place to stay at since it if very close to the cruise port.
Cons: Wish they had a shuttle to pick up at the airport. Also pool was too small.
Need different tile for the pool area because that tile is very slippery.
Pros: The location was great for walking they old San Juan and to get on cruise ship.
Cons: A/C in our room didn't work. Only received two channels on tv. Advertised as having its own casino inside hotel and there was no casino. Very disappointed.
Pros: Nice view to the bay, pretty roof swimming pool and good gym
Cons: No parking, bad service in the front desk. No attention to the guest. They send me to the wrong room with a family inside... They don't pay attention to what they do in the front desk. Not possible to book in the front desk the man make me reserve through a phone and it was not possible. At the end, I had to make the booking on my cellphone because they were not kind enough to make me a reservation.
Pros: Great hotel. People very helpful to make it the best stay ever
Cons: Luv everything
Pros: The hotel is in a great location for touring Old San Juan. Taxi access great and right on the waterfront. The staff and service here is perfect.
Cons: It's so unbelievably overpriced for a mid-range style Sheraton it made us choke paying their prices. However, they know they can hold you hostage with those prices given the other hotel options in Old San Juan. Its quite loud in the hallways, but I must say the location is awesome.
Cons: Expensive and noisy. Nice location
Pros: Great location, right in old San Juan. Casino was fun at night. Rooftop pool was fun during the day.
Cons: No view from our room, but that wasn't a big deal.
Pros: The hotel was very convenient. It is walking distance from the cruise port and the rest of Old San Juan. Staff very friendly.
The Sheraton Old San Juan Hotel is situated in the heart of historic and romantic old San Juan. We are ideally located on the waterfront, just a few moments from the docking point of grand cruise ships. Our hotel is just steps away from world-class shopping, dining, and entertainment. A myriad of restaurants, art galleries, museums, and upscale stores will suit any taste. Plus, we are only six miles from the International Airport, so you can spend your time relaxing, not traveling. Come and enjoy our unique combination of modern comforts and old-world charms at the Sheraton Old San Juan Hotel.
Pros: Staff was great! Location Excellent it was close to the airport but you didn't hear the airport!
Pros: The location is right on the beach, close to the airport. Good views from the ocean facing rooms. We were on the 16th floor and it was great. Lots of restaurants nearby and within the hotel. The rooms are spacious and the bed is comfortable.
Great housekeeping staff, very friendly and helpful
Cons: Sand fleas...a tiny bug that bites like a mosquito/bed bug. They were all over in our room. This was before we had even stepped on the beach, so they were there before we came and stayed with us till the end. We had to apply bug repellent to sleep and not be bitten.
No activities by the hotel. They charge a resort fees but it feels more like a traditional hotel rather than a resort.
No easy access to clothes dryer, c'mon you are on the beach.
Pros: The staff, the view
Cons: Sliding door to balcony was hard to open and close.
Cons: I paid a butt-ton of money to stay at this hotel. The girl at the front desk didn't even say hello to me when I was checking in. That says it all right there. Then she hit me with a massive resort fee, which definitely was not worth it. Then I said to her: "If you're going to hit me with an 18 percent resort fee, you might want to ease the blow with a simple greeting." Probably won't be headed back to Puerto Rico anytime soon. I'll just stay in NY where people treat you like shit, but at least you're still in NY.
Pros: What's not there to like?
Cons: There's nothing there not to like!
Pros: Had to spend one extra day in PR after vacation elsewhere, and we randomly picked the IH. We were pleasantly surprised. They let us do early check-in 4 hours before the regular time. The room was very comfortable for all 4 of us, and the beds were super comfortable. The facilities were also great, beautiful pools and of course a nice beach. Will be back for a longer stay next time.
Cons: It's not inexpensive, but still a good value.
Pros: The staff was friendly
Cons: This is not an all inclusive resort, it does not even offer breakfast. We do not feel like we got our money's worth.
Pros: location to beach and pool
Cons: Dollar you to death. They charge 22.00 a day for beach taxes and do not tell you to you check out and then apply it to the 200.00 that you must put down when check in. ( THIS IS JUST FRAUD ). when I paid 6.00 usd to use there computer in there business center, the internet would not work. They refused to refund my money. Told me to come back tomorrow and i could use the computer for free. I told them i was checking out today and wanted credit for my 6.00. I was told by management they could not refund me. Due to these hidden cost, we moved to a different hotel.
Pros: Liked the pool and beach.
Cons: Service was horrible. Staff wasn't friendly. Had to ask front desk 3 times for someone to unclog our bathroom shower (super unhygienic) and after everything was said and done they didn't come to fix it or move us rooms. They didn't even compensate us for the horrible inconvenience. The place felt really run down and in a not so safe location for walking around. Additionally the bathroom wouldn't stop flushing all night so the sound of water was really annoying. Not to mention the smell of this rancid running water. Waist experience at an intercontinental (which I'm truly a fan of usually).
Overlooking palm-fringed Isla Verde beach and the azure Atlantic the InterContinental® San Juan hotel is moments from the resort's renowned bars and nightlife. Sip a cocktail in the stylish Q-Bar savor flawless service and exquisite cuisine in Trattoria Italiana or dine on delightful Asian fusion dishes in SAK-I restaurant. You can relax with a massage in Akua Spa or drift past rock waterfalls in our lagoon pool. Elegant ballrooms and lush gardens welcome exceptional events.
Pros: This was an unplanned stay but a very pleasant surprise while visiting family in Puerto Rico and finding this place by luck on short notice. The location was great within walking distance to Condado and Old San Juan. Also the staff was very friendly and seems to genuinely care care about their guests.
Cons: For some reason the water from the shower was just warm and not hot but I was able overlook that because it was so hot in San Juan and the rooms were nice and clean. This is often nor the case in San Juan.
Pros: Close to cruise ships and not far from airport, old town, paseo caribe, good restaurants, great rooftop terrace, helpful staff, neat cafe, exceptionally spacious room, excellent wifi, very clean,
Pros: Size of room
Pros: Staff were professional and very helpful throughout our stay. Clean and a great location. Hotel had a great view of the ocean and parts of the city. Transportation was easy to grab to go to Old San Juan. It's our second time here and we will definitely be back soon.
Pros: Room size was good and the redone bathroom was beautiful! Also LOVED the rooftop deck. It was our favorite thing about our stay because it was very quiet with good views of the city and harbor and lovely seating arrangements. We also enjoyed walking the neighborhood. There are lots of restaurants close by and even a grocery store where we picked up a few things. And we walked to a lovely little park right on the water's edge.
Cons: I thought our room had a strange odor, but my husband thought it was fine. If we had been staying more than one night I would have complained and asked to change rooms but decided it wasn't worth the hassle. Also our shower curtain had mildew on it, which I realize is difficult to avoid with the humidity in San Juan, but housekeeping needs to stay on top of this.
Pros: I like that is in a good area , not bad at all. Some convenience places to eat and buy simple things. Close walking to some local and hotel beaches. The hotel staff are very friendly and helped me out in every question or need I had. They solved the problem when I first arrive due to they gave me a room that had very bad smell of humidity. I was happy they found one Avalos room. This a small hotel that I recommend for a couple or just Adult Solo trip. Not for a family. Hallways in every floor need ventilation, it feels dry and some smell not bad but to a closed space smell. but in overall rate is a good hotel towards excellent for the price, WIFI Very good and having signal everywhere in the hotel. Quiet enough for resting. Bathroom nice and big, shower very good pressure. I would use this hotel for my solo trip but for the overall, I would suggest not to pay more than a $90.0 per night.
Cons: I don't watch TV but I heard people complaint about problems with TV, until I had the experience my TV lost signal. I did not request to get it fixed because I expent my time outside the hotel. Bath tube drain clogged while showering so water was filling up above your feet. Parking not recommended... Very tiny space for all cars and every time you want to use the car same person at the front desk had to move and re park the other cars, while some one is waiting at the front desk until this person finish to accommodate the cars again. Don't get me wrong... They were always helpful, friendly and always willing to help you. Bad quality of customer service in the restaurant in front the hotel... and pricy.. But better go to other areas. Curtains in the room are too smal of the size of the window..so light comes through all night and doesn't keep the room dark. No door tags for RESTING /DO NOT DISTURB.. So cleaning service (very nice) they have to knock out your door. Price. I believe the rate is little high for what is worth. Find a better discount in the Internet even so the hotel is not Chain hotel company. Good luck.
Pros: Everything was great.
Cons: Limited parking.
Pros: Staff was very helpful! Great recommendations for food and places to go. Would definitely stay again.
Pros: Everyone at the front desk was very friendly and helpful with all of our questions-Would stay here again if in the area-Loved the terrace on the top floor, we preferred that to a pool.
Pros: Had an excellent stay. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
I could tell the woman who was over our floor took pride in her work.
Pros: I like the fact that you were close to restaurants and shopping. Close to the cruise port. We took a walk to Walmart and Marshall's near by. They have a roof top lounge area that is very nice at night. Wonderful breakfast at the restaurant downstairs. There is also a 24 hour restaurant across the street. There are plenty of eating places in the area.
Cons: Had to wait over an hour for our room to be ready. So they stored everyone's luggage while they explored the town.
Pros: Nice clean hotel will a very nice staff. The lady that was the desk clerk was outstanding. They have a roof top terrace on the 9th floor with an outstanding view of the area. The area also has a nice local flair with many local restaurants and there is a grocery store a few doors down. I would stay here again.

Hotel Miramar features a restaurant, fitness facilities, 24-hour business center, and laundry facilities. High-speed Internet access is complimentary at a computer kiosk in the lobby; wireless Internet access is complimentary throughout this smoke-free hotel.
Guestrooms at Hotel Miramar include desks, in-room safes, and tables with chairs. TVs come with cable; local calls and wireless Internet access are complimentary. All guestrooms are non-smoking.
Pros: My wife and I wanted something genuinely Puerto Rican and this did it. Only 1 day but very enjoyable in the center of Old San Juan with easy access to anything. Staff was super friendly. Even held our bags after check out so we could keep exploring before boarding a cruise. THEN they kept our bags again, 1 week later when we returned from our cruise and had another 5 hours to kill even though we didn't book another night. A+++
Located in Calle Fortaleza, this apartment is within a 10-minute walk of Museo del Mar, La Fortaleza - Palacio de Santa Catalina, and San Juan Cathedral. San Juan Gate and Castillo de San Cristobal are also within 10 minutes.
