Was in a booth video over an hour.. only one live employee on site. still wanted to charge another $67 on top of the payment I already made in full. I cancelled the agreement with no car and an hour wasted. My wife was waiting for me and said she never seen one happy person leaving routes. Had to order an Uber for a pick-up. Thought the Hyundai was our ride, but no.. another customer returning his vehicle after just leaving with troubles. No refund given. PLEASE save yourself and go elsewhere. The live video agent was a very nice lady, but she needs to work for a reputable company.

Renting a car from Routes was the worst experience I've ever encountered, and other customers felt the same. I came prepared with my insurance declaration page, but they still charged more than the initial rental rate, claiming my deductible was too high. Apparently, they add collision and comprehensive deductibles together, and if both are over $1,000, they require a "waiver of deductible", which costs more than the car rental. To make matters worse, customers were waiting over an hour to be given a key and their car.

Zero customer service. Reservations aren’t a thing, it’s first come first serve. EVERYONE waited at least 2 hours or more for a car. Worst experience ever.

The car was front wheel drive and didn’t have snow tires. Christmas in Calgary without snow tires is dangerous. The car was not properly equipped. They wouldn’t do anything about it as it’s a small facility and they had limited cars. Won’t be renting from them again.

Car could have used a bit more of a cleaning, had many scratches, and a damaged fender. I asked that they take the car out into the light so we could document the damage which seemed to annoy when checking out the car. We were unfamiliar with San Juan and were sold coverage for tolls or told there would most likely be a $50.00 charge for unanticipated tolls ... once agreed to, they added a $9.95 charge to enroll. Bit of a scam. They also seemed unhappy we had purchased insurance through Kayak online. However, everything worked out in the end.

Worst experience ever I’ve used this place before where they allowed me to rent a car and all of a sudden the second time I go, they won’t let me rent a car because my insurance was from another country and I have state drivers license. They really just lost my business for anyone that lives in the state of Florida I would recommend not going to this place.
