Pros: Lodge was compact but had everything. Comfy bed. We had a winter stay & the heating was very good. Combi boiler ensured plenty of hot water. Peaceful surroundings. Only 10 mins drive or less to shop, food and drink.
Cons: Great stay. Only advice would be be on a small point....and one which is probably a subjective one....bacon needed cooking a little more.

Pros: Excellent hosts. Stayed for the weekend in a pet friendly room which was really nice, super comfy bed and lovely and warm. The room even had its own enclosed garden area. Breakfast was cooked to order and also a good choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurts etc. There is a field where you can exercise your dog and say hello to the lovely alpacas on the way. Would highly recommend this accommodation.

Pros: The lodges are done to a fantastic standard. The location next to the lake was brilliant, even storm Ciara didn't ruin the setting for us. The hot tub was great, even in the storm. The hosts even left me a birthday card which was a lovely touch.
Cons: The weather? There really was nothing to grumble about. If I was being really picky, I could say check in being from 3pm would be better.

Pros: The breakfast was wonderful, cooked fresh for each guest in their beautiful kitchen. The location is absolutely stunning. North Yorkshire is absolutely beautiful and this place is a little slice of heaven. Me and my husband didn't want to leave! Going to try one with a hot tub next time!
Cons: We didn't stay long enough! Also would have liked a bath in our room but it hoesntly wasn't a problem! Wouldn't stop us going back at all!

Pros: The Location of the property is ideal for exploring the Yorkshire Moors and it's coastline, with a five star breakfast to start your day you're set for anything, and Ruth and Stephen were exceptional hosts and the tea and cake on arrival was a real treat.
Cons: nothing could have been better with the property or our stay, except that we had to leave this lovely place after 2 nights.

Pros: I received a very lovely welcome with tea and refreshments. The owners are very friendly and the accommodation was excellent with every facilities you could think of. There was an extensive choice for breakfast and very well prepared.

Pros: Lovely building, with generously sized room and a very comfortable bed. Food was outstanding: generous and huge variety available at breakfast. Proprietor and staff were all exceptionally friendly, welcoming and accommodating. We felt very much at home there and look forward to going back.
Cons: This is being picky, but perhaps a small wardrobe and some more suitable shelving in the bathroom could have improved it. The wireless internet signal wasn't strong or reliable in our room either.

Pros: Exceptionally friendly staff at breakfast and lovely fresh products, like strawberries, prunes and grapefruit. Lovely traditional cooked breakfast, using local butcher's products and a veggie breakfast. Lovely underfloor heating in the shower room, an added bonus. Fluffy dressing gowns and complimentary bath items were also appreciated. Would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Pickering or the North Yorkshire Moors.

Pros: the breakfast was really good. the evening meal that we had was ok along time arriving but fresh only small portions. really good with the dogs. nice and quiet.
Cons: we didnt have the new year buffet and they didnt talk to us the rest of the evening when we came down to drink at the bar which was really sad as the evenings before we had really enjoyed there company and got on with very well. there wasnt really a very good atmogphere.

Pros: If I could give higher marks I would !! One of the cutest hotels I’ve ever stayed at, we will definitely be coming back! The staff were so lovely and really made it more personal, the food in the restaurant was so lovely! My partners steak was amazing! The rooms were perfect size, and the view from our window was lovely!

Pros: There were a lot of nice little touches such as biscuits, sweet dish sewing kit and ample toiletries, tissues, magazines etc. Overall the settings a bit tired but a fantastic breakfast.
Cons: Location noisy as it was on a busy roundabout so all through the night traffic. Also some of what I would think were locals were up and down the road on noisy motorbikes and we had somebody revving up there race car in the car park opposite on Sunday morning.
