Pros: Clean, modern, lovely owners, fantastic location, so peaceful and off the beaten track, great breakfast, wonderful selection of games, books and DVDs to use during your stay. The owners have really thought about everything, and gone the extra mile to make sure you feel at home.

Cons: The toilet on arrive wasn’t the cleanest but I sorted it nothing major to complain about to reception

Pros: The welcome and the food was excellent. The building is not new so so amenities reflect what can be done. As an example we had a shower over the bath. I am not very tall but I needed to bend down to get under the shower head.
Cons: The hotel was very warm indeed. The weather was mild we needed to turn off our room radiator and open the bedroom window to keep cool.

Pros: There were a lot of nice little touches such as biscuits, sweet dish sewing kit and ample toiletries, tissues, magazines etc. Overall the settings a bit tired but a fantastic breakfast.
Cons: Location noisy as it was on a busy roundabout so all through the night traffic. Also some of what I would think were locals were up and down the road on noisy motorbikes and we had somebody revving up there race car in the car park opposite on Sunday morning.

Pros: the breakfast was really good. the evening meal that we had was ok along time arriving but fresh only small portions. really good with the dogs. nice and quiet.
Cons: we didnt have the new year buffet and they didnt talk to us the rest of the evening when we came down to drink at the bar which was really sad as the evenings before we had really enjoyed there company and got on with very well. there wasnt really a very good atmogphere.

Pros: If I could give higher marks I would !! One of the cutest hotels I’ve ever stayed at, we will definitely be coming back! The staff were so lovely and really made it more personal, the food in the restaurant was so lovely! My partners steak was amazing! The rooms were perfect size, and the view from our window was lovely!

Pros: Comfortable friendly guest house in a great location. Excellent breakfast. Visited the National visitor centre and walked to the White Horse and spent the next day at the excellent Eden camp on our way home. A great one night trip away.

Pros: Ruth and Stephen are exceptional hosts. Very friendly and kind without being overbearing. Rooms are clean and comfortable and breakfast is excellent. Ruth's cakes are delicious and she offers an endless supply of tea and coffee. The sitting room is a lovely place to sit and relax. Definitely recommend.

Pros: The Location of the property is ideal for exploring the Yorkshire Moors and it's coastline, with a five star breakfast to start your day you're set for anything, and Ruth and Stephen were exceptional hosts and the tea and cake on arrival was a real treat.
Cons: nothing could have been better with the property or our stay, except that we had to leave this lovely place after 2 nights.

Laurel Bank Bed and Breakfast has free Wi-Fi and free parking on site, and its rooms are elegant and traditionally furnished. Each room benefits from a flat-screen TV and an en suite bathroom with free toiletries. For breakfast, there is a bowl of freshly prepared fruit, tea/coffee, juice, yogurts, cereals, and full English options. Food is made from local produce, and homemade bread is also served. Nearby Pickering has a steam railway, rural museum and a wide choice of excellent restaurants. There is also a selection of cafes and a wine bar for guests at Laurel Bank to enjoy.

Pros: Was a good location. Very near the centre of Pickering. The room was clean and had all the facilities we needed. The breakfast was very nice and filling. £10 p/p per day for the breakfast though.
Cons: The bed was really not very comfortable. It appeared to be 2 singles pushed together and was very lumpy. Room was very small. Brenda the host was nice but didnt seem very happy and chirpy. .made conversation as much as possible but to me she seemed uninterested in doing this whole host thing now. She looked quite fed up to be honest. Just my opinion. She was pleasant though.
