The service at the Pierre is outstanding. I had help from a wonderful concierge, Christian Hogan, prior to our arrival, in providing recommendations and reserving needed train travel. He was a life saver! Once we checked in, the staff went out of its way to provide lots of extras (i.e., a complimentary platter of sweet treats for my 11 year-old son, with a personalized welcome note to him) that made our stay even better. I will always stay at the Pierre for future travels to NYC.
The location is fabulous The staff is very nice
The bed was really uncomfortable No boiler available in the room
Beautiful views from our room. They accommodated our mid morning arrival & made room available immediately. Check in was quick & easy. Elevator Staff was friendly.
The outside weather took a sudden turn & we were told that the heat in the hotel would only be turned on at a particular date. Which meant we slept in a cold room with wet cold weather outside. Only one elevator is made available at night, which makes the waiting period quite long when you’ve been out all day.
Grand hotel in exceptional location opposite central park. Staff are wonderful, helpful friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The bar area is an excellent place to relax and watch New York's wealthy come and go.
Sometimes a long wait for the lifts to arrive-oddly sometimes only some of them seemed to be in use.
service is all around superb
