Pros: Included Golf Cart and had great amenities!
4.2 Okay
Cons: The hotel didn't recognized the reservation made by this application.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional staff - from check-in to check-out they were courteous, helpful and friendly. A real positive vibe. A huge sprawling estate, beautiful countryside, not busy and a great little golf cart to chug around in.
Cons: All good...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The security, the beach, Altos de Chavón. The staff specially Juan in the front desk and Mercedes our house keeper!
Cons: The restaurant at Minitas. It does meet the standards of the other restaurants in Casa de Campo.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing complex , like a country within a country.
Cons: The hotel rooms are just a bit outdated. But all is well maintained .
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice really the best in Casa de Campo Not so much party but nice
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very peaceful place and great staffs
Cons: Too pricey be prepared to pay heavily on everything
9.4 Excellent
Pros: My last visit to Casa de Campo was 25 years ago and I was thrilled to return and find it: Impeccably managed; great staff...uniformly warm, professional, highly competent and highly responsive; great facilities...especially the beach club/pool/restaurant; great sports; wide array of surprisingly good quality food choices. Before our trip I read reviews that warned to beware of billing issues such as double charging and charging separately for items outside the “all inclusive” plan...and I am happy to report that billing was completely accurate with not a single discrepancy! Well designed, impeccably clean and well maintained rooms were a solid 4-4.5 stars and need just that little something to get them to 5 stars.
Cons: Only real complaint was the room air conditioning that I think uses “evaporative cooling” which results in a slightly uncomfortable humidity level in the room...and the configuration of the air conditioning diffuser/vent that resulted in a real blast of air that caused a mini-draft when activated.

Pros: Great staff!
Cons: Bed wasn’t very comfortable
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly, entertainment was good, access to the beach was great, food excellent variety and quality.
Cons: No details of activities provided in the room. Water sports should be better advertised and controlled. Culd provide transport from/to airport
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Restaurant decoration attetion
Cons: Norhing really
7.4 Good
Pros: Staff in non managerial positions are excellent. They really make an effort and Bahia Principe should acknowledge this. Head chef (Spanish) is brilliant
Cons: Alcohol is cheap and bottles of premium are refilled with cheaper brands. Management staff medicore Animation is poor although staff do their best. They have a time share sales house which is really absorbing and can ruin a holiday
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is excellent and we felt very comfortable and relaxed
Cons: The shower was the only issue as my daughter took ages to wash her hair but overall the holiday was still very very good
6.8 Good
Pros: Gorgeous setting and grounds. Beautiful beach and spectacular pool. Large rooms, well appointed. Prompt and courteous service.
Cons: The food is mostly hodge-podge and gave me and my wife diarrhea. The beach is beautiful, but the water is so turbid you cannot see your hand a few inches below the surface.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
4.8 Okay
Pros: The Spa is great and Inmaculada, one of the massage therapists, is the best!
Cons: The quality of service from the staff was poor for a hotel that claims to be 5 Stars. It is not a 5 Star hotel, it is a 3 Star hotel. However, I do give credit to the few staff members that are truly dedicated and helpful. Also the drinks were awful, and the beach/pool were dirty. We were told that when the river joins with the sea, it makes the beach dirty. So depends what time of year you visit. You may encounter a dirty beach.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All the staff members were super friendly and helpful!! Shout out to Hector at the pool bar!! He always hooked you up with your drinks!!!
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like, exception to the a/c in our room was kinda of noisy and i think needed maintenance. But it still did its job of cooling off the room!! Bahia Principe is an exceptional resort!! Would definitely recommend this to others and can't wait to go back!!
6.7 Good
Pros: Staff was friendly
Cons: The drinks, I threw up one night from takara the restaurant
5.8 Okay
Pros: The staff were the best part of the stay. They were so kind and willing to go the extra mile to please.
Cons: The property was old and kind of run down for 21st century standards. The rooms were the worst part. Me and my wife and child took only one shower the 4 nights we stayed as it was just that bad. The towels where not white any more but, a shade of gray. The only thing normal where the overbooked “restaurants” on site. The pools were ok too.
7.1 Good
Pros: The staff at the restaurants were very accommodating especially at the Olas resturant as were housekeeping, and bell hops. The location was beautiful regardless of the Rainy days. Massages at the spa where excellent as well.
Cons: Our first day there we had to wait 30 minutes for our room , 20 minutes for luggage and an hour for a towel. Throughout the remainder of the trip towels were very scarce for us, however for patrons with a different color wristband Towels were available.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent Room service and animation team
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I loved the food and the most of the staff was pleasant including Elines, Fousto, and i forgot the other nice girls name sorry. The beach was very nice and clean.
Cons: They had no real fruit alcoholic beverages like majority of other hotels. They want even try to make one for you. Also the cleaning staff was very noisy. We went there to get some sleep so wanted quite around the room throughout the day.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very spacious and everything was nice and clean. The pools were always with a bar and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There were almost no bugs. The room was cleaned daily.
Cons: The food was not really that local Dominican that we were expecting, besides the fruits which were delicious. Unfortunately, also the restaurants were not that good and sometimes we found ourselves quite disappointed and went from the restaurant to the buffet. Airconditioning was acting strange and even if you would turn up the temperature it was still blowing cold air. There was only cold water coming from the shower the whole week.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice staff and you get kind of everything you need.
Cons: I would prefer a box for tips for all the staff - so you can give tips but just to the people who work in front and not in the background - e.g. cook, cleaning staff...
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The staff was super attentive. We had a really great time.
Cons: The beach itself wasn’t very nice—lots of jelly fish
6.0 Good
Pros: Nice swimming pools
Cons: If you have been to Mexico or even the Caribbean then this will probably disappoint. The staff are given their job and will do that only. If they serve you juice for breakfast but you say no thank you i would like tea, you have to find the person who offers tea. The staff are the let down in this hotel, not friendly, only speak Spanish (strange when a lot of non Spanish speaking are there) and so the simplest of tasks takes a long time. No information is given on arrival about the hotel etc. It turns out there is a web app which you use to make a restaurant booking, however this never worked. Therefore you need to walk to the lobby to book. However in our case the restaurants were booked up for the next 4 days! Therefore the buffet it is for every meals. The buffet does have vast offering so you can find something you like. However, 95% of the food is not covered and the constant flies around the food is off putting. I found a dead fly in the smoked salmon one day. Overall this hotel did not meet expectations. If you prefer a hotel with a choice of restaurants, good service and all the standard lovely holiday amenities then the Dom Rep is not the place, go to Mexico.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I enjoyed the location, the jacuzzi in the room, the view, the staff accommodations at the hotel, the optional activities.
Cons: The mini bar was never working and we got our fridge stocked daily but they housekeeping did not notice that it was never working. We noticed on our 2nd night and we’re told that in the morning it would get fix (which was our check out night), didn’t liked that we had to make in person dinner reservations verses over the phone ( I planned on surprising my partner for their birthday and could not because I had to go in person to do so (I could not leave my partner without him noticing what I was up to), There were no on-site first aid kit for bee stings, me and my partner got stung by a bee by the bar & no one had a first aid kit, we had to be taken to the clinic to then find out that there was a huge US fee for a consultation. Also, the room temperature seemed to change on its own so at night we were cold. Food wise we hoped for a more Dominican authentic food option, to eat local foods like, fried cheese, longaniza, mofongo, sancocho, etc but there were more Americanized food groups. Also, the demographic of the Adults Only was more Retirement Caucasian & not at all diversified.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The approach of employees is perfect. The meals are tasty and variety is great. The pool area and entertainment team did their best to move people and have a dynamism. Yes the beach is not light blue color but no waves and smooth sea and is clean nice beach with full of palms.
Cons: There is a humid smell but it is the case in most places around DR.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Well the resort is awesome, rooms are nice big and clean, staff is polite, sandy beach, clear sea water, all perfect! Thank you very much!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: So much to do inside the resort
Cons: Rooms weren’t perfectly squeaky clean, but that’s rising the standards to perfection.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay at Viva Wyndham was exceptional. We enjoyed a few days of All-Inclusive there and it’s totally worth the money. You have at any time of the day delicious meals - even after a party night you can still enjoy pizza. The buffet was so various and everyday different! The drinks are super yummy - fresh smoothies, alcoholic/non alcoholic cocktails etc... the Entertainment program is always fun and every night you can enjoy a different show. Private beaches and clean pools are perfect for a chill day under palm trees! The rooms are spacious and especially the showers were very nice!! I really recommend this All-Inclusive-Resort and if you do book it - don’t forget to try a Gin Fizz at the bar.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very helpful, kind and fun. The cabana was great. The options were very nice with the buffet, lots of options for vegetarians. There was construction and repairs happening but the resort did thier best to minimize the noise and distractions. The resort had very good, secure and reasonably priced excursions/taxis
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bedroom was comfortable, the facilities excellent. Animation group outstanding, everyday there were different activities to do... you could choose if you wanted to join or not... you had fun all the time but at the same time peace and relax cause you could enjoy relaxing places to stay far from noise! The staff trained to help you although you always find exceptions... but in general very helpful. Michelle was excellent and she was always ready to help us and make us feel comfortable.
Cons: The food was very good. We didn’t like very much desserts, there was a good variety to choose from but the patisserie was not impressive.
5.1 Okay
Pros: The location, the beach and views were beautiful.
Cons: Overall experience: overrated with hints of tackiness and unpleasant surprises. In other words, for the price, don't expect quality. You truly get what you pay for but with a twist in DR all-inclusive. The only way to make this better is to pay for a place that offers what I'm paying for. Had I known what all inclusive meant ahead of time at Viva Wyndham, I would've gone elsewhere. The ride from the airport to the resort alone -- about 1 hr 20 min -- is heart breaking: glaring poverty, with non stop shanty towns with an inordinate amount of abandoned contructions, dilapidated buildings and folks running through the highway. The Dominican Travel Industry shields the tourists from blatant poverty with gated resorts. The theme is the same: the food sucks, it's prepared ahead time and sits there, it gets dry, one can taste it isn't fresh, the constant loud parties and music, the infrastructure doesn't account for humid heat causing structural problems to facilities the locals cannot afford to control; bringing appliances voltage to funtion at below optimal levels making foodstuffs rotten, rooms to overheat or freeze, causing food poisoning, mold/mildew allergies, backed up sewage, unpleasant smells, insect infestations and excess algae ashore. The poverty and overdependecy on tourism makes the poor come out of the pueblos and become vendors, inundating the beaches with incessant offers for stuff one wouldn't buy. The timeshare hounds who wat you to commit one week a year to the Viva Wyndham Chain, are they crazy? To note, the resort is visited by folks from western and eastern Europe and tons of south Americans from Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, etc. South Americans are accustomed to the DR standards and given their currencies are stonger than the Dominican peso, I can see how vacationing in DR can be a bargain for them. The excursions are torture and uncomfortable with the lack of infrastructure. Last but not least, Food Poisoning! My spouse fell very ill from their food and drinks. I was more selective, bought my own drinks, stuck with wine, avoided foods from excursions.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Beatifull place with nice palm trees and sea. Food is OK - nothing special but it will do. Lot of cats.
Cons: We just couldnt sleep because of the stupid music they played until 0:30. So loud that the basses went straight to the bones and the end was almost jumping! And we were accomodated in the quiter part of the hotel! You just don't want to pay for a sleep deprivation... Loud music was everywhere even during day and there was no place to hide from it and read a book or relax. The hotel is huge and is divided to some zones so be sure what you get for your money.. its possible that the sun beds you liked on photoes will actually be inaccesible for you. The animators are everywhere and some of them don't understand simple "NO". If you want anything, its impossible - everything is a problem for them. If you ask for a manager, he is not there. The employees expect tips. Otherwise are rude. Half of a hotel small like a cesspool. Untill noon, there is often no warm water in a shower. The toilets often leaks- in your room and on the beach.

Pros: Property was quite comfortable, though it was at full capacity, we were able to enjoy all the facilities without issues. The possibility of accessing both resorts was a plus.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff professionality. Fresh juices bar. Well equiped rooms. Nice and clean beach. Animals in gardens and ponds. Many a la carte restaurants, especially asian and seafood were over expectation.
Cons: Seafood was not that frequent as we expected. Daily animation could be better. Daily activities schedule could be more specific and at more places.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beaches
Cons: I had to pay for a lobster and the room wasn't stay ready at time. I had to wait 1 hour
7.5 Good
Pros: -Beach was nice and we'll maintained -facilities were clean -plenty of amenities -friendly staff
Cons: The bed in the room was terrible, especially for something called the couple's suite.

Cons: Nothing
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: I like very much the beach! That’s it!
Cons: The room was too old with lots of humidity. The quality of the food very low and the staff was not very friendly.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The best beach. Viva restaurant and the Mexican are the best.
Cons: Hotel for smokers. I had to visit my pulmonologist doctor. Smokers everywhere. I spend most of the time in my room, because the smokers. Smokers on the beach, in the pool, inside the beach and the pool, smokers everywhere. 2. Eat fast or Glenys will take you off to the Buffet. 3. If you need a Towel in the pool avoid the Young guy light skin with yellow eyes, he is really rude. 4. We had a flood situation in our room and blackout at the middle of the night but Alessandro helped us.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It was a great stay. Employees were very nice and carring. I liked all the activities they had. It was perfect for what we went to do.
Cons: They at least need to have a faster accesss to internet in the lobby. Wifi was useless.
4.8 Okay
Pros: Being on the beach .
Cons: overpriced for the food and service . Our special valentines dinner which cost extra got ruined by their poor service and there was no compensation. The people who book excursions just want to sign you up with some kind of activity and forget to tell you details . Most importantly poor English so lack of communication

Pros: Don't know
Cons: We didn't like receiving a call on our way to the resort and being told that there was a mistake and that there were no rooms available because they were sold out. This was on our way to the place so we had to head back home. This after my card had been charged and the booking confirmed, now I have to wait up to a week to receive my refund. This is totally unacceptable in my book.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: the property is very nice and well maintained. It is relaxing
Cons: I had two problems. First I arrived and they did not find my reservation, so they lasted more than an hour and a half to give me access to the resort. Then in the services they offered, that they included a breakfast. We never got breakfast. I tried calling the host 3 time and he never answered it.

Pros: Very large room at a more than fair price, the dinner in the attached restaurant was fabulous. In the hotel you can rent a car, this is also necessary due to the location (a bit offside). The reception took very good care of us.
Cons: Unfortunately, a hair dryer was missing in our suite, but this did not spoil the experience.

Pros: I love the space of the Room and the space of the pool......
Cons: The food service take super long, The pool is close early on the weekends ....
6.7 Good
Pros: I only eat cereal and fruit, which is fine, but it ought to be included, as elsewhere
Cons: I think there is only one receptionist speaks English, which I cope with google, but generally foreign receptionists speak at least english and other languages, I think only Dominican regularly use this hotel, but it is safe, as others look dubious .
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amenities
Cons: Bed was a little too firm
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Excellent food, clean, the staff is amazing. The rooms are clean. I had a great stay.
4.2 Okay
Cons: The towels were dirty and the wifi never worked
5.4 Okay
Pros: Given the location, it was surprisingly quiet. The AC worked great. The pool area was comfortable. The restaurant food was OK. Parking is free and there’s a guard. Large working fridge a plus.
Cons: For starters, it took the front desk 3 attempts to figure out the charges. The room was large but the bedsheets didn’t even cover the mattress. The safe didn’t work and even after reporting it to the front desk, nothing was done about it. The faucet in the ‘kitchen’ area was detached from the sink. There was only 1 chair at the table. The bathroom sink drain plug had to be held ‘open’ (I used a pebble) to drain. There were no glasses anywhere. Finally, one of the views from our room was a large (we’re talking half a block square) dump - which was set afire one day - sending dark black smoke and who knows what toxins into the air. I know you’re probably thinking ‘First world problems’ - and you’re right. All I am saying is for the price and reputation as ‘the best’ hotel in the area, it didn’t match expectations. There are many less expensive hotels that are well-maintained (we stayed at several) throughout the island.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: when I got to the hotel they didn't find my reserved and didn't give me atention to stay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place
5.4 Okay
Pros: The Silvestre is a nice small hotel, but it does have kiddies & adult pools, again small but adequate, it does have 24 hour security, very necessary, it is kept very clean , but that is it, one restaurant for breakfast and all meals, outdoors poolside OK. Free WiFi , fairly good connection, does drop and not speed we are used to.
Cons: This is the only hotel I have ever been in , where there was no kettle, milk & coffee supplied in the room, for that wake up cup , sink and fridge freezer supplied, but why, no utensils, cutlery or crockery. I chose hotel for its location suited me, but it was twice the price of others, and not even B&B, I will find a cheaper with B&B in future, I will not return, but find a better VFM , and spend more on taxi fare for my needs, needless to say, when you pay for breakfast, even at end of serving time, they have no change, even after 10% extra charge on bill

Pros: Owner is a nice person. He welcomed us heartly. Even when we arive late, he waiting for us and make a small tour in the vila. We have ordered breakfast and it was fantastic. With a stuning view from the terrace to sea.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything. From the welcome drink to the lovely and clean rooms up to the breakfast and fantastic help from Frank it was an unbelievable stay. Clean, perfect view to the sea, excellent drinks and food, super nice conversations and support in all questions we had. it was much more as we had expected. The village was nice and travelling with the local buses worked without any problem. The local beach is only a 10 minute walk away....
Cons: We had to leave after 3 days and would have liked to stay longer... :-). The Local Beach in La Romana was a bit dirty (broken glas), so who got time should really try to go to Isla Catalina Or Saona....
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Food.
Cons: All well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host was so accommodating, local tips and knowledge of the area - but most of all, the Villa
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The accommodations were clean, safe, and you can hear waves crashing outside your window. The rooftop terrace was the reason we booked this space and it didn’t disappoint. Frank is extremely kind, helpful, knowledgeable about the area, and dedicated to making sure you enjoy your time at his home.
Cons: Because of our flight times, we were not able to rent a car, which made staying in this spot more difficult and expensive than we expected. Fortunately, with Frank’s assistance, we found a trustworthy taxi driver and so were able to move around knowing we were safe. Unfortunately, that workaround blew our budget. Having a car would have made this spot more ideal but we still managed to enjoy it.

Pros: host and staff attention
Cons: difficulty in getting there
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great! Super owner, because he helped us with everything we needed, he offered us a lot of stuff and what is good, he speaks 5 languages so it's very easy to talk with him. Parking is very safe, because it's behind a gate, inside a garden. You can also see there very beautiful view on the sea, because there is big terrace. In the room is very strong WiFi. Owner can make breakfast or coffee for you just for few bucks. We clpan say, that we really felt there like at home.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Ideal place for people who want something away from all the tourists. Comfortable room, balcony with lovely sea view and Isle Catalina. Friendly and helpfull host. Good price and very good service. Near beach and restaurant with good local food. We enjoyed our stay.

7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel staff was very courteous. The hotel breakfast was good. The hotel was close to two nice restaurants, to a bank, and to downtown of La Romana.
Cons: The room shower didn't have hot water and the WiFi service didn't work in the upper rooms

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Everything in the room as expected!! Nicely Decorates and comfortable bed!!
Cons: Unexpected and not advertised overcharge for a per person resort fee totaling 10% more of agreed rate.
2.0 Mediocre
