The historic Roosevelt Arch and north park entrance is only a mile away, and downtown Gardiner restaurants and shops are also nearby. Located off Highway 89, you will be minutes from hiking, fly fishing, whitewater rafting, and more exciting outdoor activities along the Yellowstone River.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location and friendly staff.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location was outside the the entrance to Yellowstone. High price for what you get but comparable to other hotels in the area. Great view of a hill across the road which had elk. I only said I didn't plan to stay here again because if I return to the area I would like to camp within the park.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast.
Cons: Overpriced because of proximity to Yellowstone. $200 a night. Next time I want to visit a national park, I’ll look into renting a camper. Didn’t expect the price gouging of a national chain.
7.0 Good
Cons: The breakfast entry was confined to a single door opening forcing a long line. The discussion of the breakfast area being frustrating to move around could be heard among other guests too. I will not recommend. The breakfast area had small cramped rooms
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel exceeded the two star rating. It is the second time I have stayed here. The room was clean, air-conditioned and well stocked. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of offerings. The staff was efficient and friendly.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff and breakfast were fantastic—and our room did have a beautiful view of nearby mountains.
Cons: The location is a little distance from the “center” of Gardiner. Also the walls are rather thin.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast
7.5 Good
Pros: Location was great, breakfast good. Beautiful room.
Cons: It was laid out very inconvenient. We had to use the elevator which was a separate entrance. It was a-lot of in one door and out the other. I thought it really had a poor layout.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great! The location was very good. Very close to the north entrance of Yellowstone.

6.7 Good
Pros: Smiling, friendly welcome from chap on reception and easy check in process. Lots of car parking and the hotel is located close to park entrance.
Cons: Dark room, TV didn’t work and nor did the bath (plug did not work). Once again the breakfast was poor. There was little choice other than literally exactly what every other hotel provides here and the paper plates and brittle plastic cutlery are terrible. In this day and age of using less plastic and making less waste hotels should be using china plates and metal cutlery as is done in Europe. Finally the hotel is overpriced by quite a way. We paid twice what other hotels on this trip cost and this place was not as good as most of them.
7.1 Good
Pros: The staff were all friendly, efficient, eager to please.
Cons: No closet or rack to hang jackets or clothes. Sink in room makes it impossible when one person is an early bird. No microwave in room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Terrific location. Would highly recommend to families heading to Yellowstone. Great service, great value. Loved the waffles for breakfast!

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice decor
Cons: Needs a couple of comfy chairs instead of a huge bureau or chest of drawers in the cowgirl room
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Alex was great. He runs the show in the winter. Well laid out so we had room to roam. Great location. Ate at Wonderland a block away. Highly recommended.
Cons: WiFi was sporadic. Not a problem.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great, staff (one person) was great!
Cons: NA
6.0 Good
Pros: Location of the Property. Kitchen
Cons: Floor of the room was extremely dirty. No soap in the shower container. Sink containers were filled opposite each other. Soap in the lotion container etc. Property employee just walked into the room on Saturday Afternoon. No knock. Said he thought it was empty. They had to records of our stay? Rude.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Off street parking, downtown location walking distance to restaurants, close to Park entrance, when we finally connected next day with the host our needs were immediately met.
Cons: Heat..too much upstairs. Cleanliness..grease film on rangetop..soaps..empty..tv remote needed a charge. An early evening call to the host requesting service was not returned. The living/kitchen area has no windows, walkway to apartment ice covered, alternate route has a difficult gate.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Totally friendly staff with a family atmosphere. They couldn't have been more courteous. Great to be able to walk out our door for a quick bite at the pub. Would recommend the lodge to others wanting a getaway in Gardiner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: wonderful lodge with great restaurant downstairs. If you are staying here, definitely go for a dinner and drink some local beer or wine. Room is very comfortable and quiet.
Cons: limited parking space, no elevator and rooms are upstairs
6.0 Good
Pros: Alex was very helpful. I believe the owners had been gone for some time and he took care of the restaurant and rooms.
Cons: The people in the room next door were VERY noisy until 3 AM- so no noise ordinance. Additionally, whatever they cooked somehow vented into our room and it was disgusting. We had a third of a roll of toilet paper and no replacement rolls. When booking, my wife and I both called numerous times to verify our reservation. We left messages, or no one answered. The one time someone answered it was Alex. He was as helpful as he could be- he has no access to the voicemail. This was very frustrating.

Pros: Breakfast was great.
Cons: The floor was filthy & even had items left from prior guests; long hair in the bedding.

Pros: Awesome place. Breakfast with the Elk roaming around on the street was a real kick. The room was comfortable, beds were comfortable, plenty of parking near bye. The breakfast food was great and the selection plentiful. The staff was great.
Cons: On our first night we had a room right outside the parking lot so there was a lot of door slamming and people talking loud but we got moved to a quieter place and were very satisfied with how quiet it was in our new room.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good. Many options

4.0 Okay
Cons: The hotel is overpriced for what you get. Not worth the money.
7.4 Good
Pros: The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, the microwave and refrigerator worked. The location is great: near the park and the river runs nearby.
Cons: Granted that our stay was in the last week of August and in the year of the eclipse, $300 is still a lot for a second floor room in a hotel without an elevator.
3.4 Mediocre
Pros: The location was good.
Cons: The hotel was way over priced. We were given a handicapped room on the end next to the stairs. It was very noisy and it sounded like the people above us were clomping around in ski boots and when they used the bathroom it was really loud in our room.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Location is too good
7.4 Good
Pros: The gal working the front desk when I checked in was awesome! The breakfast is also a huge perk.
Cons: The housekeeping staff attempted to enter my room when I had the Do Not Disturb sign hanging on my door on two separate occasions. I've never been so grateful for a chain lock, as I had been changing during one of these incidents. Being a young female traveling solo for the first portion of hotel stay, this made me extremely uncomfortable. After the second incident, they took the Do Not Disturb sign from my door so I had nothing to mark when I did not want my room entered and/or cleaned. My travel companion arrived shortly thereafter so this strange scenario became much less bothersome, since I was no longer alone. I travel alone quite a bit and have never had this issue at any other hotel.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was nice and the guides were great.Ron our winter coach tour guide did a great job looking after everything and everyone.we met several other guides in training who were also knowledgeable and friendly on our trip.We stayed a extra day and added another tour because we had so much fun.Thank You Ron for the good job !
Cons: I was dissatisfied with the restaurant not being open at the time we were told to be there at 6:30 am.we were to meet in the lobby at 7:30 am to meet the guide for the Yellowstone tour. Both days the restaurant didn't open until 7 am which leaves only 30 minutes to feed all the motel guests going on all the tours. That was a sore spot with many of the guest who showed up at 6:30 am in the 17 degree temperatures outside waiting. The gentleman who opens just said no one tell him when to open that he is in charge of the kitchen and he is the one who sets the opening time! Maybe that would be nice to tell the front desk so the customers can get extra sleep and not be stressed out. The food was OK nothing special, the servers were nice and did there job well.thank goodness for them they salvaged the experience.
