2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Comfy beds
Cons: When booking the room, it said "access too all facilities including spa, pool and gym etc". Uograded the room for an extra £60 just for a TV. Was only told after paying for everything that you had to book into the spa, phoned up to make a reservation from phone in room to be told they were all fully booked for the next 3 days and we were only there for one night. Swimming pool closes at 21:00 and isnt even warm. Steam room and sauna fits about 6 people max, with a hotel off 200+ rooms. Has only around 20 loungers.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very helpful and locals friendly. We booked an upstairs room but when we arrived were placed downstairs as a member of my party had a visible disability, very appreciated thank you.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: We were there while working out flat rental and other things as part of moving to the UK from the US. The staff and regulars are fabulous, really friendly, very helpful and informative. The room was cosy and comfortable, and it and the shared bathroom were very clean. The shower drain was a bit slow, but they had a plumber out and it was fixed within a short time of us letting them know. The food is terrific, and excellent value for the money. The haggis pakora and beef pie with mash and veggies were amazing. And if it's not the restaurant's serving time, there's Land & Sky fish & chips, Margo's Bakehouse with a great breakfast and rolls/sandwiches, and a really good 4 In 1 curry/kebab/pizza place all a five minute walk or less away.
Cons: The wifi signal in the rooms is rather sketchy, but signal in the bar and restaurant is good. The staff are very accommodating and were great about us having to sort of set up office at a table for quite some time.
7.9 Good
Pros: Lovely accomodating people - We checked in slightly early so we could spend the day in Edinburgh and return late in the evening. Great train links into Edinburgh - 25 minute fast train at least a couple an hour. The location was right in the centre of Polmont. 2 mins walk to Aldi. Lots of free parking around on street or in a small communal parking lot. Decent size room with a double bed.
Cons: The sheets smelt damp (and felt unclean) and we were unable to find people at the Inn to let them know and ask for them to be changed - This was probably due to the opening hours during the time we stayed. It was a little noisy in that we could hear other guests moving around. The shampoo & shower gel dispenser next by the electric shower in shared bathroom upstairs was empty. There was no available password for the WiFi. There TV channels were unreliable and we were unable to get channels 1-5. Hot breakfast options limited nearby.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Food, drinks, staff.
Cons: Rooms could do with a freshen up.
7.0 Good
Pros: Keys collected from the bar the rooms were accessed from a different part for the building. The room was clean and the shower room was recently updated to a wet standard, Staff very friendly

8.0 Excellent
Pros: An enormous room, with a large bed, sofas and room for a dance floor. Food at the restaurant was delicious and the staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating.
Cons: Two singles being pushed to make a large double, although this was made well so there wasn’t the awkward gap in the middle.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The price was amazing for the size of the room
Cons: Excellent value for money and brilliant atmosphere
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food and Location

1.0 Poor
Pros: Breakfast.
Cons: Room was not in hotel. Had to walk over road to get to room. Through big puddles. In the dark. As there were no lights. 1 bath towel for 2 of us. No hand towels at all. Someone's clothes were still in the draw and a box of condoms. No glass in bathroom for washing out ur mouth. Big hole in wall behind door. Got the feeling this was an over flow room. We booked 2 weeks ago. And were not told room was not in hotel we were told a guest was staying an extra nite and we had to stay in other room. Will not use this hotel again.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room, the atmosphere, the food, the staff. All lovely
Cons: Too many stairs. We did know this at booking but surprised at just how many stairs there were.

4.0 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was nice.
Cons: The hotel was cold apart from the bedroom. Our lunch was very disappointing. We both ordered club sandwiches which were cold and the chips hard. Dinner was better but not great.
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff were very attentive. Food was lovely.
Cons: Noise from neighbouring bedrooms. Food a bit pricey Not enough showers/changing rooms. Lockers were broken Automatically given bedroom in complex instead of the castle that was advertised. (we did get moved though) No reception sign at the actual reception building leading to a few couple wandering around needlessly in the rain. Music advertised on Facebook and there was none when we got there
5.0 Okay
Pros: Overall I liked the place my moans are below.
Cons: Too much noise from adjacent rooms, also service in the grill was haphazard to say the least, we had three different waitresses/waiters and only after sitting for half an hour with no service forced us to hijack someone to get us food,in any other restaurant that waiter would then serve you throughout you're sitting not here, you have to hijack another and so on. They should have been working a set area instead of trying to work the whole area and leaving people with no service.
5.0 Okay
Pros: breakfast, evening meal and general bar was good reception staff (hannah) was very helpful. spa was clean and very nice, toilets were clean. the food was expensive but worth it. i dont mind paying a little extra for good food.
Cons: paid £332 for 2 nights for a castle excecutive suit, after viewing it was very very dissapointed as it was very old, dirty and nothing like the pics on booking.com 2nd room was a basic double room which was very run down and shabby with rips in the carpets, the 3rd room we were told last one available and was very basic didnt get our robes and slippers for the spa till we asked for them, basically the bedrooms were in a very poor standard compared to pictures on web site had to walk down a un-light corrider to access our bedroom and the main light in bedroom didnt work which made it dificult for wife to do make up
7.5 Good
Pros: Our room in the Castle was up in the ramparts and still spacious, comfy and warm.
Cons: The landing lights outside the room (3) were not working. Difficult and dangerous negotiating stairs in the pitch dark.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The restaurant
Cons: No heating or tv in room eventually got new room didn't get to use facilities because of this 3hrs to get new room very poor as was a present wouldn't recommend
7.0 Good
Pros: It had nice atmosphere ..nice and big , breakfast good ,dinner staff needed to be more attentive, though there was a wedding on too ,so we understood ,but overall lovely stay ,great pool
Cons: Slow service , partners dinner wasnt great , but wouldn't put us off going back
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very helpful and Breakfast was good
Cons: N/A
6.6 Good
Pros: Staying in a castle
Cons: Rooms were poorly decorated and sparse. Not what you would expect from a castle. Additionally the food was very bland and highly overpriced for the descriptions. Not what I expected from a 4star resort and spa.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed and friendly staff. The gym room is well stocked with up to the date equipment. The sauna and steam room are very good.
Cons: Rooms are a bit tired now.
7.1 Good
Pros: Lovely hotel with nice facilities.
Cons: The weekend we were there, there was party nights on both Friday and Saturday nights, we were only informed 2 days before and were told that there would be no dining facilities on Friday evening, what we should have been told was 'vacate the hotel after 18.00 you will not be welcome ' no provision for any guest unless you are at the party! Ask when booking, if there is a party night on, use the premier Inn down the road!

Pros: Heating was Good
Cons: Shower did not work and wash basin no hot water
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: Room tiny blinds torn cobwebs on ceiling
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: the vending machine had a good choice in over priced snacks
Cons: Bare with me ..... Entrance hall plastered with a4 pieces of paper Ring this number for staff . Out by 10am in bright red letters ( if not you’ll be charged an extra day and they’ll sell anything left in there ... I kid you not ) A very kind memeber of staff mumbled something judging by the point of his finger we knew which way to go Down the corridors of a4 messages... more out by 10or else messages . We found our cupboard for the night . Wall paper hanging off the corner of the wall , putting bags on the bed to not block the 2ft of floor space En suit .... was a hole in the wall tiled with a diagonal pointed toilet with shower against the back wall and the charming swinging defrosted frosted glass bendy door that you. CAn not just hear your mate having a dump but you can also see and smell him too ( he had Cajun chicken that I had the opportunity to taste twice) Next to our cupboard was a selection of brightly coloured showers and toilets these were fun most out of order the ones that do work you couldn’t fit it properly with wet floors with lights that turned off mid shower or poo these stated that they we’re self cleaning ..... they need to have a word with themselves as the cleaning was poor to say the least Don’t flush the toilet if anyone in a 10mile radius is trying to sleep as the toilet does a great impression of a walrus and elephant attempting sexual relations And the toilet paper supplied do not use .... go out find a road kill hedge hog and wipe with that It will be less painful We asked about free WiFi they said was available this only works as long as you plan not to go in the room and try and use it We did ask if there’s anything could be done but the kind man said no . As it only goes so far
