Pros: Daily yoga
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hostel is picture perfect. The vibe is awesome, everyone staying here was so friendly and sociable so it would be a great place for single travellers to make friends. Laura, the owner, is incredibly friendly and generous, and really wants you to have an awesome stay. The volunteers were also super helpful and nice. Thank you for an awesome stay - hopefully nos vemos pronto! ;)

Pros: Great, magical place. I liked easy wibe of the hostel. I came with the bicycle to do some trails in Sintra and there was no problem with the bike beaing inside.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked all the facilities, the place is amazing the vibe is very good ...
Cons: The only thing I didn't like is that you can't cook before 1pm, so if you're used to making breakfast eggs while you're staying you'll have to choose other things to eat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: *great location, next to the forrest, walking distance to the Guincho beach *great range of activities offered by the hostel *good facilities, you can easily rinse & dry your wetstuit
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great; yoghurt, fruit, cereals, milk, bread, butter, jam, etc. No meat or cheese, but you can get all these things from local markets that are close-by (one across the street, another at about 15min by foot). I loved the staff. Laura and Valentina are a great time; very welcoming, warm, and fun to be around. They were also helpful in driving me around to activities, booking the taxi to the airport, and other short trips I needed to make. The activities there are also a great bonus. I only tried surfing, but there is yoga (studio in the house!), rock climbing, wind surfing, etc. Definitely something to do every day and for every taste. The beach is not next to the house (about 20 minutes walk), but I enjoyed this. It's a nice walk through the woods, and a nice meditation on your way to the beach. The view from the balcony is also a big plus; you get to enjoy the mountain and the beach at the same time. Great job, girls. Would definitely return.
Cons: The shower downstairs has a bit of a delay for hot water but it was not a big problem.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house is perfectly situated for running in Sintra, reaching Lisbon and water for Kite, Wind surfing or just Surfing. The entire place is spotless. Laura and Valentina my hosts during the stay where super helpful. The place is really relaxed, tried Yoga for the first time. Wow that stuff is hard, but I like that its good. They also can arrange rock climbing and many other things. Nice breakfast too. Many thanks xx

Pros: Amazing place, people and vibes. Laura and her staff made every moment perfect. This place is magical and full with positive vibes. My stay is more over my expectations, a wonderful travel, a nice experience mainly because of the people at the Guesthouse. I am very thankful for Laura for everything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place was really nice and relaxed, its good if you want to be in the nature or so kitesurfing and surfing. Nice atmosphere.
Cons: It's not central if you want to go to lisbon and Cascais. It's good to have a car or go by Uber.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location. Nice vibe in the house.
Cons: As a surfer with sandy feet, I felt I was a bit of a nuisance. The house was spotless and not really made for bringing and storing your own gear.

7.9 Good
Pros: Cute boutique hotel in a Perfect location. Terrace view Is great overlooking cascais. Comfi beds, rooms and good breakfast.
Cons: Overpriced for its value. Few amenities in the bathroom.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location outstanding. View from room (room #3) was absolutely beautiful, with a lovely balcony looking out over the beach. The bar is the best place in Cascais to have a sunset drink. Breakfast was great. Room was huge and hotel is lovely, much more than we expected. Bar has about 25 wines on tasting in their vending machine. Could not fault it. Cascais is also very beautiful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All the staff were friendly and helpful, from those working one the front desk to those working in the restaurant. They all spoke English well. Our bedroom, overlooking the seafront, was large and nicely decorated. There was a large amount of cupboard space and the bathroom was good. The food for breakfast was first rate, as was the food and drink in the restaurant, especially sitting on the veranda drinking sangria, watching the sun go down. The location could not be better - close to the station and on the seafront. It was a perfect location and we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. We stayed 5 nights and used it as a base for exploring Cascais and for day trips to Sintra and Lisbon.
Cons: I liked everything.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything ... The view, the location, the food and especially the staff... Really warm and friendly. Thank you guys at villa cascais...!!
Cons: Really nice afternoon surprise treat in afternoon delivered to room on first day only... would make it even more special if on other days also...!! Not a bad complaint..!!!
6.0 Good
Pros: The hotel is in a perfect location in Cascais surrounded by restaurants and bars with lovely views over the harbour. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: It is expensive to stay and probably not up to 5 stars. Tea and Coffee facilities are not in your room they are in the hallway - Tea bags only. Taxis booked via reception are by private limo and very expensive.
6.7 Good
Pros: Quaint, clean/elegant and great location
7.0 Good
Pros: We thought we had booked the Hotel Albatroz so the Villa and its location was a big disappointment. However the staff made us most welcome. The bed was most uncomfortable and the room not quite what we expected. However we did enjoy our stay.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing special, maybe the location and the breakfast. People in receptio were nice.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Central location by the seaside.Villa Albatroz is the sister hotel of Hotel Albatroz and therefor allows access to the pool of Hotel Albatroz where one can relax when the beaches are too crowded and/or too hot. There one can have lunch as well, with a fantastic view to the sea and beaches.
Cons: Villa Albatroz is supposed to be a 5 star hotel, but I expect a few of those stars are "inherited" from Hotel Alabtroz. It has a good location but unless you get a discount it's not good value for money. Our room was a Standard Double with Sea View, but you had to stretch your neck to see the sea. Most rooms do not have a balcony. Breakfast was a bit dull as well.
6.0 Good
Pros: Service was very good. Location was excellent.
Cons:
7.2 Good
Pros: High degree of servises.
Cons: No.
5.6 Okay
Pros: Good staff and location
Cons: Standard of decoration was fair, given the 5 star rating this was poor.
5.2 Okay
Pros: The view and the quality of food
Cons: The noise outside and the lack of modern facilities
7.2 Good
Pros: the ^restaurant was very good - they have an excellent chef who creates innovative cuisie with local ingredients The wines offered were excellent. The staff were friendly and helful and I felt like I was known there rather than room number one - take the room 1 as it has a small balcony and you can hear the waves from the beach - it was very comfortable.
Cons:

Cons: Pool looked slightly unclean.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Charming family run large house with pool. Really relaxing and very comfortable. Attention to detail in every aspect. The breakfast excellent. Staff very friendly and hospitable. Highly recommended.
Cons: Location not ideal, 10/15 minutes walk from centre of Cascais.
6.3 Good
Pros: Beautiful house and lovely pool. Great place if you need a break from a day sightseeing, to come back to a beautiful garden and lay on the comfy sun beds at the pool. Breakfast options are good and tasty.
Cons: We arrived at 13h00 at the property and were welcomed by a lovely lady, who informed us that our room wasn't ready yet. We expected that, so we left our bagages at the reception, were given the key to the room and continued our day. About 6 hours later we can back to find our bagages still at the reception, it would have been nice gesture if they were brought to our room, but it was probably a misunderstanding at our end. We booked the Twin room, but I do not recommend it. It's not in the main house and you have the feeling of sleeping in a garden shed. We obviously booked this room knowing this, but it was still a bit of a disappointment especially for the price we paid (€183 a night). The room was small and felt a bit damp. The floor of the bathroom needs a re-do because you can see where people walked as it is discoloured. I won't say dirty because our room was cleaned daily, but it gives this impression. Especially to see the marks where people put their feet when sitting on the toilet is not very appealing... We've had 2 occasions when we turned on the shower a foul smell came out of the shower drain. Didn't report this because I saw it was reported by another guests on the internet, and assumed nothing would change anyway. One morning around 9am we were surprised by the music played on a big speaker next to our room. I'd advise to move the speaker, as not everyone might appreciate to have a speaker next to their room. Overall we didn't have a great experience and unfortunately won't come back. We didn't feel the warmth of a guesthouse. Upon check-out we were bringing some of our bagages to the car before doing the checkout as we had quite a few bagages, where the hostess came "running after us" saying that we still needed to check-out. We got the impression she thought we were leaving without checking out... Not a great feeling to leave with.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very relaxing environment. Good service . Clean . Good breakfast and food. Hosts do everything to make live comfortable .
Cons: Sometimes it ook some time to get thins done but this is probable that we are coming from hectic working environment where things have to be done immidiately. Pool could be heated with solar energy to make it possible to swim even in colder periods. Will be appreciated by several guest during our stay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very nice guesthouse / hotel, our room was particularly nice and the staff were very welcoming and eager to please. Breakfasts were a treat!
5.8 Okay
Pros: breakfast was good, although extra was charged for any coffee not out of coffee flask. It seems that the property wasnt quite as advertised...no free pick-ups from airport...no afternoon teas...no wine tasting or yacht trips available.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: All good
Cons: The dog barking in the next door garden. Not a lot you can do about that but it reminded me of home!
7.9 Good
Pros: The staff were amazing. Friendly and so helpful.
Cons: Was just a little far away from the village and beach.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A real home from home. We stayed for 3 nights after travelling down from St Malo, France, to visit the Harley Davidson Rally in Cascais. So I was more than pleased when the guest house more than exceeded my expectations. They allowed us to park our motorbikes behind the security gates, which is always a bonus. We had a big comfortable room with big light bathroom. Breakfast was full of choice, and very well presented. What more could you say, everyone made our stay perfect.
Cons: Nothing

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The Villa is a beautiful property, and very tastefully decorated. Our room, number 3 is a lovely light-filled room with a view of the back/side garden and the pool area. The bathroom in number 3 is very luxurious, full walk-in shower with Rainfall shower head and a hand-held power shower. The bed was very comfortable. (Two twin beds pushed together to make a huge double) There is ample storage space for clothing and other items with a rail and two big drawers, as well as a very handy hat stand which we used for our jackets and scarves. My partner used the pool a few times and said it was lovely, and that it was deep. The location could not be better, it's a short stroll from the Cascais town centre in a lovely residential area. There are a couple of very good cafes and restaurants within a 5 minute walk. It rained a couple of days while we were there and the accommodation had plenty of umbrellas for guests to use.
Cons: The cooked food for breakfast was just ok, it was quite cold a few days that we had it. Although the cook, Isabelle did offer us fried eggs a couple of mornings. And everything else at breakfast was lovely and well stocked.

Pros: Perfect resort for a family. We stayed in a duplex 3BR property with fully equipped kitchen and a large living room, during Xmas vacation. Property was cleaned daily (sometimes a bit too late). Property has a small private pateo and even during Xmas we had a few lunches outside. There’s a big garden and a wonderful swimming pool. Resort is very quiet.
Cons: Well located in Cascais, but a car is required to go to town center or to the beach - just plan accordingly. The resort has a high-end bakery and a nice restaurant, but the supermarket is in fact not working properly.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Plugs on the sides of bed, please
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice resort, with all needed facilities. The bakery in the resort is awesome! Car needed as the beach and also the Cascais downtown is bit far by walking. We did not use the bikes, but rental possible. Thank you to cahrwomen, as they did every day a very good job. Obrigado Bicuda!
Cons: The bathroom needs some renovantion, but very clean that is most important.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, nicely kept area. Car needed but easy access. Golf next to resort, horseback riding close.
Cons: -
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place, great for a nice relaxing holiday but close enough to everything if needs be, you will need a car for day trips, supermarket etc. Very clean, staff are extremely nice and helpful. Very minor issue is that the villas would very much benefit from a washing machine, the onsite laundry is expensive and being a family of 5 with small children it would be a real benefit. Other than that no complaints at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff extra friendly and eager to fulfill every need... cute litte bakery with awesome fresh food. Convenient mini market.
Cons: Indoor pool would be nice

Pros: Breakfast was excellent, personnel friendly and house beautiful.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were really friendly and gave loads of great tips on what to do in the local area, the facilities were surprisingly good and I really appreciated being able to shower despite having checked out several hours before! The yoga on the pier in the morning was incredible (what a setting!!!), and the room I had was great. It was really easy to find from the train station/Lisbon. It’s not in Cascais, it’s about 20mins away but the walk is beautiful along the coast.
Cons: It’s not a dislike, just something to note- the hostel is split over several houses, so not everyone or everything is in one place.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Extra long bed
Cons: Overpriced considering there is a communal bathroom and we were positioned on a floor with an adjoining dormitory room The hotel is more suitable as a hostel than a hotel Breakfast was very poor, no mugs, no juice, no water, just fruits and seeds Would not recommend for the price, might as well stay in a hostel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast. Lovely house
Cons: All fantastic
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful house with original portugese tiles. 10 minutes walk to the beach. Breakfast just ok. Our bed was really big and comfortable. Free parking outside the villa.

Pros: Place is very nice, helpful staff, quiet location
7.5 Good
Pros: Relaxed and friendly property with helpful staff. Delicious breakfast and BBQ’s
Cons: This is a yoga and surfing retreat, although I booked as a hostel stay through booking.com and couldn’t do the yoga or surfing due to injuries and it left me a little out of the loop with everyone else.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room is was very comfortable just as described and the staff are nice.
Cons: I have stayed in a lot of 5 star hotels around the world but charging guests a penalty of €30 for bringing in food from restaurants outside the hotel to your room is ridiculous. This is not part of the hotel policy when you are making a reservation, you will only find out about this when you are checking in, well that’s even if you ask the right questions.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room is spacious, with modern, simple and straight decoration. Staff at the reception was always friendly and helpful.
Cons: Restaurant staff’s attentiveness and curtesy could improve to meet 5 star hotel service expectation.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice big rooms, good bed, great breakfast
Cons: Could be a bit „warmer atmosphere“ Hotel not very alive in the evening Service personnel was friendly, but not very attentive Sauna area not as nice as in the pictures
6.0 Good
Pros: great staff, lovely breakfast, good location..huge rooms
Cons: on the first night we (an all other guests) were woken at 4am when the in room fire alarms went off... then on the next night the alarm went off again, thankfully at 7.40 am but still really annoying as we were jet lagged and trying to sleep in... no apologies from the hotel for this...it really let an otherwise nice hotel down.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, archtecture, breakfast, dinner and helpfulness and professionalism of personnel were all outstanding! So was the room and seaview. And what a marvellous golf course

Pros: Wide space very appreciated. The breakfast excellent all the products were fresh and local give you the feeling and taste of height quality.
Cons: The modern structure of the hotel is nice outside but inside give you a little bit the feeling of a cold and not “personalize” place.

Cons: Nothing I can think of
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I very rarely give ratings like this, but this hotel was worth it for sure. Great hotel, in a great location, with amazing service
7.9 Good
Pros: Breakfast was the best I’ve had anywhere in the world, including service at breakfast. The location on the sea is breathtaking with easy walking to may beautiful sites and restaurants.
Cons: Spa services are disappointingly weak, pricey, several showers and options in the thalassotherapy room were broken, after spa “tea” was barely lukewarm, there were no spa snacks other than packaged crackers full of saturated fat. Spa practitioners did not speak English. Price I’d hire should include a daily visit to the Thalassotherapy room.
9.1 Excellent
Cons: Ask the price of drinks before you order - can get a little expensive.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely everything else, the decor, the ambiance, the service, the location. An almost perfect stay.
Cons: My only complaint about the hotel is the 'atmospheric' lighting. My husband found it difficult to shave in the low lighting in the bathroom. I was disappointed not to be able to appreciate the visual aspect of the degustation menu in the fine dining restaurant as the lighting is so low. I had to use the torch on my phone to read the menu! I have one complaint about the food at both breakfast and dinner, the hot food was cold. We were served lukewarm soup and fish, cold duck which I sent back, cold scrambled eggs and bacon at breakfast. Such good quality food deserves better treatment. Such a shame.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Farol Hotel is dog friendly which is a big plus for me! It’s a beautiful hotel at the top of the ocean in one of my favorite spots in the world! Their breakfasts are delicious as is the service here! The bathroom robes are gorgeous and they can be purchased! I’ve stayed multiple times and keep going back for more! Love it
Cons: The hooks in the bathroom were a bit loose! That’s all
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The setting of the hotel is breath-taking, only to be matched by the incredible service. A true gem!

5.0 Okay
Pros: Professional staff at breakfast.
Cons: Miss-leading information regarding parking of our car in an adjacent municipal car park. Poor communication by Front Desk. Stayed 2 nights - annoyed to find our room had not been made up by 15h00. Told by front desk new arrivals were being given priority.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff and location
Cons: WiFi in room was not working
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel The cleaning ladies were very smiley and friendly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Nice and cosy
9.0 Excellent
Pros: A very stylish place. Knocks the socks off your usual chain hotel. Breakfast room overlooks the marina and Atlantic. And you can sit outside in the morning sun and sip you Buck’s Fizz with a custom cooked omelette. Perfection. I also had a superb massage at the spa which was good value for €50. The bar is the nicest retro room you’ll ever find in a hotel with books everywhere and an old radiogram playing real vinyl. Class!!
Cons: The bath was a bit difficult to get out of and the WiFi is terrible.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous room and pool.
Cons: Tiny quibble. Coffee at breakfast varied from excellent to very poor (but they brought us a different coffee when we complained).
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The people were so friendly & the place was really clean.
Cons: Although this was an Art hotel it missed a heart. There was no real place to sit comfortably & have a chat with friends.

6.2 Good
Pros: Staff were friendly. Location good
Cons: Room was stuffy and not well aired out. Non smoking rooms had been smoked in. Room was a bit dark and dingey with some broken items such as the bathroom door that wouldnt close. However location was good and staff were friendly. The pool is nice but would benefit from a non smoking area
7.5 Good
Pros: Location is super and staff were very helpful, overall facilities are good at hotel.
Cons: The room we were given was behind the elevator shaft so not ideal, a little noisy.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel and staff is very friendly. We had a good stay.
Cons: I feel the room is a little old. But it's roomy and comfy.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: No hot breakfast ready at 7am on the Monday and had taxi booked for 7.20am for the airport . Very disappointed at that .
9.0 Excellent
Cons: The beds are too firm. I had hip pain every night. Used a camping pad to help with problem.
1.0 Poor
Cons: We just want 3 beds. Yet, per their policy, we need to live in 2 rooms, which is not suitable for us and waste of our money. Also, not comfortable at all: one living room with 2 small beds , horablr
