Pros: Very very good hotel, big room, comfortable bed, accomodating staff, very friendly doormen that helps with everything. Would definetly stay here again

Cons: Felt old and outdated in a number of ways. Feedback was handled poorly, simply saying next time would be better. I expect a lot more from such an institution.

Pros: Very good hotel. Quiet, despite being located in the city center. Excellent breakfast. High quailty of service, and if any inconvenience occures, the solution is found instantly. Rooms are big enough and very clean. Good cosmetics/beauty products in the bathroom.

Cons: Only thing I would change are carpets in corridors which simply are used. And maybe I would add some TV programms in Polish. Poland is just +/- 100 km from Berlin. Now only broadcasts in English, German, Russian, Spanish, Arabic and Chinese can be watched in the WA hotel.

Pros: Chose Hotel Zoo for a business conference, with attendees arriving from different parts of the world. The hotel experience exceeded our expectations...beautifully appointed, public spaces with large comfortable guest rooms and outstanding meeting facilities. The staff were friendly, helpful and extremely accommodating. The restaurant and bar areas were fun spots to unwind at the end of each day.

Cons: While hotel premises were designated as non-smoking, the external courtyard smoking area was adjacent to some guest rooms with lingering aftereffects from smokers.

Pros: The location was excellent for walking in the Tiergarten, the Zoo and Aquarium and easy access to the train. Loved the food in the restaurant too.

Pros: We loved the location of Hotel Zoo, it was very convenient to all tourist attractions and restaurants. We also loved the interior design of the hotel, and the overall atmosphere.

Cons: The rooms were extremely dusty. I suffer from allergies, and the entire time it was very difficult to breathe. The staff at Hotel Zoo were not helpful or friendly at all. They were extremely difficult to speak to. Since we had booked three rooms we expected welcoming or hospitable service, which we did not receive. Very disappointing for a “five star” hotel. The shower temperature was also fluctuating between hot and cold.

Pros: Property in central Berlin, gorgeous lobby and that’s about it. For the rest of the hotel rooms and decor definitely slacked.

Cons: Highly incompetent and rude staff at reception, even though our travel group had booked seven rooms in total. Easy requests such as bringing a missing tv remote to the room, to giving a keycard back to someone who had previously left it there personally so they wouldn’t lose it on a night out, were either ignored or had to be fought about. Requests such as as organizing a table for 12 at breakfast for a birthday breakfast was not communicated to anybody from the restaurant, even though it was requested 24h prior and asked to 3 different people at the reception and restaurant. Rooms weren’t as the ones booked so room changes had been made for many of our groups, most of us being offered an additional fee and then being shown another room of the same category and price. At arrival to the second room, towels hung in the room were dirty. Cocktails at the bar not of taste either, highly overpriced and after being billed the cocktail, have the bartender excuse himself because he “doesn’t know how to prepare a cocktail”. On Halloween a member of our group wasn’t let in because of his ripped jeans and trainers and was asked to change. Upon arrival there were people (who weren’t even guest at the hotel) present wearing sweatpants and trainers. Most of us stayed four nights, and it really is shameful that guests are offered this kind of service at this pricepoint. Hotel zoo could easily be one of the most tasteful hotels in the center of Berlin, but the amount of inappropriate staff leaves us no choice but to definitely not return or recommend this place.

Pros: Very comfortable hotel. Excellent breakfast- wide variety and choice. Very attentive staff. One very minor ‘downside’. We had planned to dine in the main restaurant on a particular evening however, it was closed to residents owing to a private function being held in this area.

Pros: I can recommend this hotel to everyone, but for movie fans it is a must. The hotel is nicely decorated with photos of actors, movies posters and various film decorations. It provides everything you could expect from a **** hotel. The location is perfect. Also I appreciate the newspapers available.

Pros: A vast buffet of top quality food and drinks at breakfast which was re stocked right up until closing.

Cons: The hotel is a little way out of the centre but only a few stops on the S Bahn so was not an issue for us at all. The streets surrounding the hotel have lovely shops.

Cons: The fridgider in my room do not work, said to reception, but did do nothing, my grandchildren eat and was on the floor it was wall the timeplace

Cons: First of all the night staff was not at all friendly. Second: The enterence to big rooms is absolutely weird passing through number of doors and while passing parking garage. Third: The washrooms are old fashioned, ugly and stinky. Unfortunately atleast in my case. Hope they would improve this.
