The staff was in general courteous and the room very clean.
Cons: The check in was tiresome as names and rooms were confused, and it turned out that the room had a weird smell in the bathroom. However we were immediately changed to a different room on a different floor when we disclosed our concern with the reception. While the room was comfy and had an attractive design, particularly the bathroom seemed a bit faded.

Cons: Most of the team members were not nice. They talked impatiently and the check-in and check-out processes were cumbersome and slow. During rush hour there are not enough officials. When there are groups at the hotel, there are no cutlery and glasses at breakfast and no seating place, even after 8:30.

Cons: Not sure, why doormen hang around if he never open the door. Front desk staff never at the front, always have to wait for them. It was quick stay and no expectations, but certainly would give less stars if it would be a leisure stay. Should be good for business travelers.

The window coverings were broken so we couldn't slide them closed to have darkness for the late evening and morning. We only had 2 towels so I asked for another couple towels. I was told 2 towels is standard. I asked if I could pay extra for more towels and she said she has not towels up there so, no I can't. There was also no shampoo.

Cons: Didn't like the fact that I booked the room for 2 nights and when we got back from a long day of exploring the key card for our room didn't work. I wasn't the only one, there were other people with the same issue. If this is something normal in that hotel, the guests should be informed of this when checking-in.

Cons: The corridors upstairs smelt of body odour and smoke. No ventilation to them and little natural light. The room itself was fine - slightly tired and needed airing. Think of a well used Travel Lodge for comparison.

Cons: The hotel has 4 star status. I am sorry but it is far from that. It is old and should have been renovated a long time ago. Nothing seems to work- I stayed there 4 times in the recent 1,5 yrs, always choosing it because of the location, and hoping that the next time I will be positively surprised by the improvement. Sorry to say, no improvement at all.

When I asked for that, the receptionist told me, he will send the room service person. But no one turned up. Its just a below average bed only.
