Pros: Love love love this place. It was definitely the best hotel I stayed in during my trip. It was beautifully decorated with a relaxed vibe. Rooms were clean and well equipped. We had a balcony facing a quiet street, I took a very nice nap with the ceiling fan on and the balcony door open. There was a pantry stocked with fresh fruits, a coffee machine and cookies/cakes, and also a lovely courtyard to enjoy it in. The owner was very nice and helpful. Overall I just had such a relaxing and restful time...thoroughly enjoyed my experience!

Pros: Casa Shelly is pure perfection in this very chic and picturesque village. The property is full of charm and is maintained meticulously. The interior design is a perfect blend of simplicity and visual interest. We enjoyed the tea, fresh fruit, and cookies from the very clean kitchen. We also enjoyed a couple of meals in the garden. The trickling water from the fountain reminded us that we were somewhere special. Each room is individually decorated and has a refreshing scent. Pictures of this place do not do it justice. You just have to come for yourself to see how wonderful it is.

Pros: This was an amazing holiday experience in a lovely little bolthole in Vejer. The room was perfect and it was the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept on during a holiday. The terrace was a bonus and we watched the sun set over a glass of wine. Guillermo was the most attentive and helpful host, going out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. We highly recommend this!

Pros: The apartment was one of four surrounding an inner court yard. The apartments complex has been modernised from what looks like an old dwelling. Some of the interior walls are part of the original fortification walls. So the place has a lot of character. There is a common kitchen/ lounge room on the ground level wher you can make tea or coffee. A great roof terrace where we had our morning cup of tea. The host couldn't have been more accomodating and helpful.
Cons: The apartment is inside the old fortifications to the town so access is limited when arriving by car. However you expect this when you chose this form of location.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location very picturesque and within an easy drive of the coast. We ate in the hotel restaurant the first night, Saturday and the food was very good. The entrecôte steak and steak burger was excellent with a Turkish Messe starter. The steak was local a literally melted in the mouth. We would have eaten in this restaurant again but it was closed the other two nights we stayed. Vejer de la Frontera is a really pretty town about 10 mins drive with a number of very Spanish eating houses, easy free parking with a short steep uphill walk.
Cons: One of our main criteria when selecting a rural hotel was that restaurant facilities were provided. It was not made Lear that the restaurant is closed on Mondays. Restaurant are available locally but are a car drive away and a number of these also close on Mondays severely reducing the choice unless you are prepared to drive to Vejer town. Breakfast was adequate. Limited choice. Very disappointed with Conil and Barbate although the beach is great for the family take some shade.

Pros: Loved everything. The view is wonderful, the building itself is beautiful and our room lovely and comfortable. The hosts were warm, friendly and professional. We were able to drive easily to various great little towns nearby, but the hotel is in a quiet and restful position in a rural setting. The breakfast and our dinners in the restaurant were also excellent.
Cons: Nothing at all.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A beautifully restored traditional building in a very quiet area. Rooms are large and very clean. The swimming pool is very pleasant. It is a 15-20 minute drive to nearby beaches (be warned: very busy in August). Owners and personnel are very helpful and friendly. We loved the stay here
Cons: Only minor things: restaurant could have more vegetarian options and the wifi speed is underwhelming.
9.6 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was fabulous in all respects - so pretty and quirky with a fabulous restaurant set in the courtyard serving delectable food. It is in the lovely old hilltop white town of Vejer but only about 6 Kim’s from the beach. Some of the rooms are like caves and there are low ceilings and wonky steps everywhere. Our room overlooked the courtyard restaurant and had a lovely marble bathroom and a Juliet balcony. It was a great break over Christmas and highly recommended
Cons: This is not a negative for most people but the many steps ( it is set over 7 levels I believe) would make it difficult for some people to negotiate
10.0 Excellent
Pros: amazing Hotel, everything - even the smallest detail - was perfect. Make sure to eat in the restaurant!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautiful in an excelent location. The place is a historical building and the views are wonderful. Also, the restaurant in the hotel is awesome, I really recommend it. The breakfast was also delicious with lots of homemade food.
Cons: I had to ask to change the room when I arrived, since it was winter and they kept the room closed it had a very strong smell of closed rooms. The staff was nice enough to change it.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing ambiance, wonderful views.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was an unexpected delight! The hotel is extremely cozy, the interiors are unique. It is an absolute leader of all hotels we stayed during our trip. Already planning to come back :)

7.1 Good
Cons: Parents room was outside the hotel on the Other side of the road. Very nice and broad room that has to be amazing in summer but in winter, it is cold and humid. Not corresponding at all with price cat. Rooms in the hotel itself were great however.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel absolutely fabulous - nestled in the old part of town across several buildings with an inner atrium and beautifully spacious rooms. The absolute highlight is the rooftop terrace though. Must see!
Cons: As very common in Spain, the reception is not occupied the whole day, so one has to time arrival outside siesta. The room had no TV anymore which is nothing that bothered us.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Great place, very well designed. One of a kind. Pete Schnebly
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It was really authentic and tastefully decorated.
Cons: It was pretty isolated ... but it was winter season. We aren’t tv watchers but watching a movie would have been nice. Also the lighting while romantic was very dim. Really hard to read! - or see much of anything.

Cons: Pillows and no easy place that was warm to eat breakfast downstairs.

Cons: They only offer a set menu for lunch and dinner for 50 euros per head. The food was excellent and home made but you are restricted to only have that. They should have a menu for nibbles or even some tapas and a bit more flexible with price.

Pros: I think the location is great. I like the breakfast a lot, thought it should be much better considering the price. The decoration is very nice.
Cons: The breakfast was served in a beatiful place and was ok, but nothing special. It should be much better considering the price. There should be more spanish people working in the hotel. And it would great if they were locals.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptionally clean, simply furnished bedrooms with good en suites. We had a balcony room on the third floor with spectacular views across the valley. In, fact all the rooms are on the third floor, but there is a lift to take you up. The rooms all have aircon/heat, which was certainly needed when we were there, as at the time there was snow in nearby areas. Easy to find as it is on the main road up from the dual carriageway, however our satnav had other ideas and took us a tour of the narrow streets of the old village!!
Cons: Nothing, really. We paid a very reasonable price for an exxellent en-suite room.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The bathroom was amazing, spacious, startlingly clean, with plenty of room for a large shower with superb water pressure and plenty hot. Also a small shelf above the sink to put a few things and the much appreciated bidet.
Cons: As I mature, in other words get old, it is really helpful to at least one chair in the room that is actually comfortable. There were two chairs, but they were both those erect, impossibly uncomfortable Spanish chairs.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Simply over the top service. Bright room, with just what you need Room cleaned every day, bedsheets, new towels, encredible therral staff. At my arrival I got a nice tour on the tourist map, and told everything of importance, from historical sights, food recommendation, to the nearest pharmacy. Skilled and friendly staff. I would highly recommend it!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The view from the room, comfort and cleanliness
Cons: Shower control was faulty
