7.9 Good
Pros: Bar and restaurant staff great. Grounds keepers also very good. Stunning views over ravine and sea and some nice walks on site.
Cons: Good hire car needed as rough long track to property. Reception tried to make us pay for second night when we checked in. Agreed reluctantly to make note to pay all on checkout including drinks/meals etc. Could do with some upgrading as getting a little tired, some might call it ambience or character!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The environment was outstanding with exceptional natural beauty. Every aspect of customer care was fantastic and staff could not do enough to help us, all with smile! The food and drink were delicious and we cannot get over the prices. If only we were returning to SA... We will put this on Trip Advisor and urge anyone to pay you visit. Two nights were not enough! The braai experience was a particular favourite of our foursome.
Cons: There was nothing we didn't like.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Wow wow wow- this place is simply magical. It is located next to a waterfall with a view over the ocean. This and the fact that the Chalets are very nicely built into nature provides for an absolute magical, serene atmosphere. The estate itself offers a lot...you can go fishing, jogging or simply enjoy the view and have a drink the prices for food and drinks are more than fair for example for a glass of white house wine one pays €2.50. This price in such a location is almost unbelievable and the food is also very reasonably priced and of high-quality.if you go you must choose the Chalets to really indulge in the whole forest-feeling! The staff is super lovely . We i’ve never seen such a unique place in all our travels!!
Cons: We could not get a late check out when I was fallen ill.but this was a question of availability, so not really the fault of the hotel but in this case for me still difficult..

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The tent was beautiful.
Cons: The next door "camp" was unbelievable noisey, perhaps make friends with the neighbour's and ask them to keep their guests at bay by a certain time..
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice place, good staff.
Cons: Late check out is not a option.
6.0 Good
Pros: The Hostel is nice with a big garden and very close to Tsitsikamma National park. The staff is very nice.
Cons: a bit noisy
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved that the tents were clean and the gardens beautiful. The staff were friendly and informative. Ablutions were clean and close to the tents so was easy to navigate during the night.
Cons: Matresses on the beds in the tents could be a little better as they didn't seem to fit base properly. It might be nice to have some kind of headboard in case a person wants to lean back and read. Lights in ablutions to be monitored to ensure they are all working as one or two were out.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A lovely quiet backpackers lodge! The staff were very nice and helpful, the setting and the breakfast were very nice. We stayed in a family room and sometimes had noice from the pool table next door or the room above us but it didn’t bother us much. The Segway tour next door was great as was the waterfall zip lining and the kayaking.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet and excellent location. Room was spacious and very comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. Such a nice laid back place! Would definitely recommend

Overview Reviews

4.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was ok
Cons: The room looked very tired and is in need of a good deep clean and decoration...there is a large garden which is ok, but the pool was dirty and not fit for swimming.... the Manor is located a long way from the village Centre and along a quiet dark small road opposite a large residential area..... not advisable to walk after dark...... didn’t try the kayak or tubing in Storms River as the river is very low and we were told the experience was very disappointing..... great spot for hiking however..... overall this was a very expensive stay relative to other places on the Garden Route and I would give both the town and Tsitsikama Manor a miss.... there are far better places to stay and visit
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great view, very very nice staff, took care of us and upgraded our room when we had a problem with the hot water heater in the old room. Very good breakfast. In the evenings there is a fire outside, amazing.
Cons: Restaurant closed in sturday
7.0 Good
Pros: With regard to the venue and facilities, we were happy.
Cons: It was a big shock on arrival that the premises is adjacent to a township/ low cost housing development. And although everyone seemed friendly, it made us uneasy and I would not recommend this venue to single, female or senior travelers. I suggest you include this information clearly on your marketing.
6.0 Good
Pros: Swimming pool
Cons: Dirty bathroom and milk at coffee station off, opposite township
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb. In close proximity to all the Tsitsikamma places of interest.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Spacious clean comfortable rooms
Cons: The location is not good. I almost didn’t find the place because of the area it’s situated in. The immediate surroundings are shabby and it doesn’t feel safe. A bit far from the restaurants. You cannot walk to the Main Street especially if it’s raining.
6.0 Good
Pros: Room was big we had our own bathroom. Werners friendly service
Cons: We didn't love the location it is right in the township felt unsafe but the host told us it was safe and nothing bad happened. The staff, other than Werner, need to learn from Werner and smile, and greet and look happy to have us. Werner was the only happy person there. Sad.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such friendly staff helping all around and advise the best attractions to try out. They had a nice braai area with bar, and even provide all needed to complete our braai. Very nice clean swimming pool which we enjoyed very very much. Overall I would recommend!

9.6 Excellent
Pros: very pretty and well managed with clean comfortable and very hospitable staff and very lekka space
5.0 Okay
Pros: Everything was awesome except check in which was already quite late at 3pm and We still had to wait while they sorted our room out and ran around trying to sort things out. Charles was awesome obviously a management problem from higher up. The manager above him was not communicative.
Cons: Not much - we have stayed there before and find the vibe and facilities awesome. Really liked our previous Barman / Receptionist / guy who ends up doing everything. I would recommend Charles anytime for his manner with guests.
6.7 Good
Cons: We did not get the room we reserved and even after discussing with the manager she was only able to offer us a tent which we intentionally did not book.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
7.1 Good
Pros: The place is peacefull
Cons: The fact that there is no kitchen no microwave no iron.
7.0 Good
Pros: Room and private deck were lovely. Pool area setting is really nice. Fire at night a nice touch. Lovely food and very accommodating for vegans. Chef was great. Staff very friendly.
Cons: The bathroom was extremely small. The basin was a cloakroom basin unsuitable for anything other than washing hands and it was difficult to stand behind the basin due to the narrowness of the room. There were a lot of rules and regulations, assuming you're going to be a terrible guest. Unusual... But I guess they have their reasons... It felt quite patronising.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was excellent but not a lot of choice. the staff were all so friendly and helpful throughout are stay and went out of their way to ensure the whole family's (7) needs were well provided for.
Cons: Waiter service at the pool needs a bell to draw attention to service required. The sunloungers were heavy and difficult to place so the whole family could be together at the pool and face the pool not closely alongside it.
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good. Chef excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Really beautiful location and excellent opportunities for walks in the forest.
Cons: Cleanliness (carpets in the room); bathroom not too great; replenishment of supplies / removal of towels disappointing.
5.0 Okay
Cons: food
7.0 Good
Pros: Clean, comfy, spacious accommodation what felt like in the middle of the forest. Lovely little lodge style rooms. Nice onsite spa where we both had massages. The food was good and often the staff cooked a variety of food which we’d not come across on our South African holiday. Storms River mouth and various hiking and adventure activities are all a short drive away.
Cons: The WiFi is weak and you have to buy access after the first day. I was happy with this as enjoyed switching off but my husband was less happy! The room got very very warm - there’s a fan in the room but on a hot day it didn’t really do a lot.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Air con didn't work, after couple hours finally got a different room and got charged extra.
