I stay here always. Love it. Go warriors
Our room was so nice. In the lake tower on the 14th floor. Great views! There nothing we didnt like.
Cleanliness of the hotel was consistent. I had to stay at two nights in two different rooms in the 18th floor which they gave me a perfect view of the fireworks during the opening of the gold tournament. Especially the cleanliness of both rooms was satisfied. I loved the valet free parking except tips only. The second night I thought the front desk would rush the room to be ready within the time I checked out the first night but they called after fee hours. Also no one ever answered the front desk when I called from the room in the morning.
bathtub and shower feature is good, bathroom counter space is good, two separate vanity/sink areas is good, refrigerator in room is good, chaise was uncomfortable, mattress was uncomfortable, pillows were not comfortable, they were down and they flattened out to nothing, lighting was poor and the drawer space for clothing was poor, dresser is old outdated and banged up. Rooms need updating.
We liked everything. Rooms were awesome with comfortable beds, very clean and updated bathrooms, food was excellent, gambling was great, and a perfect location for shopping or to do anything around the lake. Can't wait to stay again.
Room was very outdated and non smoking room smelled like stale smoke
The rooms were very nice; great bathroom, comfortable bed, and the casino was nice as well. Strange arrangement of the electrical outlets. No real easy place to charge your phone and be able to access it in bed unless you happened to bring an extension cord with you.
Too many broken down elevators
Close to concert. Great room with a view of Lake Tahoe. Starbucks conveniently located close to the elevators. Bed was not very comfortable. We stayed across the street at Harrahs last time and the bed was better. However, we liked the room much better at Harvey's.
Cleanliness and Friendliness of the hotel
Room and bed
Oyster bar Pool closed
Games, music and casino activity. The room was dirty and cold. I came into the room and there was hair all over the bathroom, open safety pins on the bathroom floor and cigarettes all over the balcony floor. After waiting 30+ minutes to check in at 1am and all day flying to Tahoe i just wanted to go to bed and didnt raise any issues with it, thinking it would be cleaned the next day. The next day I was out and came back and they never came back to clean the room! On top of this the room was ice cold, 50 something degrees even with turning on the heat.
location rooms in south tower were nice but the doors constantly slam everytime a guest leaves or enters their room. Super annoying
They where close to town The front desk staff was great Small bathrooms in rooms The service in the restaurants was bad
Nothing, No heat in room and it was freezing. Froze all night. No heat in room, extra charge for use of Weight room that we didn't use and Internet that didn't work. Rock music was a bit much. Didn't realize that's all they played there. Would never bring a family there, definitely for adults only.
The bathrooms were really bad. Half redone and half still from 1965. And really bad mold issues. The beds are nice, which is the only saving grace here. BUT - there were a lot of ghosts haunting the place and I had terrible sleep. If you are dying for casino style evening, go across the street! Way better value, way better rooms.
Barely location in proximity to restaurants and village shopping mall. Just about everything. Immediately walking in smelled like smoke and it only gets worse when you try to eat onsite at their only eateries located right next to casino floor. Horrible locations for food choices. We attempted to but it was overwhelming to walk through and service for seating was so bad we walked out. One elevator was broken and we were on 6th floor which turn into longer than usual waits. Shower ran cold in morning off and on. People were "squatting" all over the hotel and even the hostess at check in admitted they had a problem with people checking out on time and well into the P.M. , hence she may not have my room avaialable. Just really bad experience and for a huuuuuuuge price. Our stay at the Hyatt ON Lake Tahoe was cheaper, way better service and during the same time frame. Bypass if you have the choice or stay if your a smoker who wants to gamble and spend lots on the name of Hard Rock. Oh yeah last nugget, they aren't even a Hard Rock hotel, the owner bought the naming rights from hard rock but they aren't under the corporate Hard Rock and that explains a lot.
Check in took over 5 hours, room had no AC, was given a food credit for our troubles and the staff was downright rude. I felt like we were treated like lower class citizens because we booked through KAYAK - we were at the front of this mob of people waiting to get our toom, we were there for hours longer than most but we're one of the last people to get a room. This was by far the most stressful vacation I've ever been on. Never staying in this hotel again - definitely recommending AGAINST this hotel to my friends and family. Nothing
It was my husband's and I first time being in Tahoe and we had an amazing view from the room that we stayed in.
Atmosphere, location, customer service and everything in between! Rooms were clean, spacious and beds were comfortable! $200 deposit sucked.. only because it takes 5-7 business days to refund your debit card.
The service was amazing and staff were very accommodating. Our room was beautiful and the spa was glorious The reading couch in the room was not super comfy but it was a pull out so no biggie
Staff is excellently trained. Very professional. Rooms are big and comfortable. Restaurant is nothing short of excellent. it is worth staying at the hotel just for the restaurant.
The staff, decor and small, thoughtful touches were great. I thought the restaurant, Jimmys, was overpriced for the quality of the food. Menu did nothing for us.
All was perfect Except the restaurant
Restaurant was excellent - both for lunch and dinner. Sommelier was very knowledgeable and approachable. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Got great restaurant recommendations from one of the valets. Room was very nicely appointed, comfortable and attractive. Radiant floor heat in the bathroom was a nice touch. Free on-site parking with valet service. Great location - not in the thick of things, so quiet, but easy access to South Lake and the rest of the Lake. Nothing.
My wife and I were greeted by the valet/concierge gentlemen right away and were offered a glass of cold champagne! Set the standard for the rest of the stay and they didn't disappoint! Love this place and see ourselves coming here for many years to come! Didn't like that my sister in law's room was in a totally different building than ours, but understandable given the layout and they were completely booked that weekend. Also couldn't believe her room was much larger and nicer than our premium lake view king, given our room was $80 more per night. But the view made up for it. After all, it was only for one night.
1. There was no hot water in the morning when outside temperature is -8 C and they couldnt seem to care about it.
The staffs are the best and helpful. The restaurant closes early 9.30pm and no other food or drink service late hours.
Location was great, perfect for the lake. Jimmy's restaurant was very nice and the wait staff were great! We booked a pet friendly room for our dog, we were told we could only stay on the ground floor next to the lake car park. It was very noisy and the nightly cost did not match my experience. I am a seasoned traveler and this was not good value for money.
My boyfriend and I stayed in a newly renovated room! It was lovely and we loved that it had two bathrooms. They asked for a $50 deposit and I've never had that at a hotel which I thought was odd.
The room we got was excellent. Twin Queen bed and two full bathrooms. Room was excellent. No breakfast, no kettle in room, no fridge, no complemtary coffee, no free movie channels and above all, NO GREE WIFi
Upgraded to an amazing suite had a wonderful dinner at Friday's steakhouse.
Nothing Room smelled like smoke.gym was outdated.
The rooms were a great value, clean and comfortable. Having two full baths in one room was very nice. They accommodated our request to have each room on the same floor. The Forest Buffet - Seafood was a great value. Our room was closer to the elevator and that was a slight distraction. One family member had to call security twice for rowdy neighbors.
The hotel was very accommodating and allowed us to do a late check out and change rooms due to an unpleasant odor. The original room may have just had a family stay and there was a lingering smell of diapers. But our room was changed immediately and the hotel happily accommodated my request to be on a high floor away from the elevators. The room was clean, large and comfortable. The two bathrooms was actually a huge help in getting ready. The view from the bar on the top floor for cocktails was lovely. I think my cons have more to do with my own selection. I wish I had chosen a smaller more boutique style hotel because this one and its brother Harvey's are behemoths along the lake. If you are looking for something really romantic this probably isn't it. Every room is identical and blah design. But if you know what you're going for, it's perfectly acceptable.
The location is great. A bit run down.
Poor check in service. No comps.
Staff was friendly. Rude noisy neighbors kept us both up from 2am until 430 am both nights!
Great room with 2 full bathrooms. No complimentary coffee or water in the rooms.
Location Horrible service
I loved the my stay! Everything is offered right inside the hotel, staff was amazing! Casino was super fun! Dinner at the Forrest buffet was great and the hotel had tons of extras (pool, arcade, bar, etc) I would def recommend this to any family and friends wanting to visit Tahoe
Very clean and comfortable beds. Had to wait for front desk attendant upon check in.
We found a great mid-week price at this place, they have a very eco-friendly credo, and the rooms are clean with very nice linens. Our two-bed spot was $77 including tax, that was on Hotels.com for a Thursday night room in December. Big screen HDTV with all the movie channels, windows that open to the fresh air. In the AM we called in a to-go order from the nearby cafe (great breakfast sandwich BTW) then we WALKED our skis across the street to the Heavenly Gondola on a Friday pow day. The hotel was NICE ENOUGH to let us park there all day because they weren't full AND (get this) they let us come back to the hotel to use the big hot tub and sauna after we skied and had already checked out. There is even a BAR in the lobby with draft beers. I honestly will never be staying anywhere else in South Lake. The staff were very helpful and friendly also, including Kaitlyn, Jacob and the chill bartender who stuck around late to pour us a couple beers after some fun at the Hard Rock table games. Highly recommended. Five stars.
The decor was much nicer than a motel We called before booking and were assured they could provide a crib and a heated pool. When we arrived, no crib, the pool was not cleaned in weeks, there was construction work, and there was no one at the front desk for most of our stay. We bought a portable crib at the local kmart at 9PM, and when we told them, they didn't even consider compensating us. It was mid week in low season, and there were many other options in town, including 4 star hotels, for cheaper. I don't know why we preferred a "boutique hotel."
Clean , comfy, nice place. Will stay there again.
The atmosphere of this place was really great and the staff was awesome. Just a short walk to Heavanley. Just wish you can buy lift tickets at the hotel to eliminate waiting in line
Perfect location next to shopping, skiing, beachfront, restaurants and casinos. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Very comfortable bed. Good wifi and satellite TV services (including HBO). Being an established hotel with a long history in South Lake Tahoe, although updated, there remain a few quirks - but all part of the experience and value.
Staff was so friendly Nothing
The decor is sustainable, but very nice looking. Beds were comfortable. Amazing location, walking distance to restaurants and casinos. We stayed on bottom floor and could hear footsteps in room above.
Staff was great...good location to Heavenly Village just right across the street. I would stay there again for sure.
Clean and nice. Was impressed with service and the people Nothing. They did a great job!
Great sized rooms Wifi poor Kept cutting out and needed rebooting
Close to restaurants, entertainment and gondola to Heavenly resort
Great location and price. Very clean and the indoor pool is great for the kids in Winter. Complimentary breakfast was good for the whole family. Perfect room with King bed in bedroom, hide-a-bed in living room for kids. Two sinks in room made it easy for everyone to get ready in the morning. Living room TV did not work- they offered to send someone to fix it. Monday the breakfast was very crowded and half of the dining hall was closed, so we had to wait several minutes for an open table.
- Nice location near heavenly village, hotels and attractions - Horse carriage ride just outside the hotel (not affiliated to the hotel) - Very clean room. - Got excellent view of the lake and mountains. - Good room service. - Very courteous staff all around including front desk, valet, bell desk, concierge and breakfast. - Safe area around where you can walk around even late in the night. - Breakfast was excellent with good choices. - Room had a separate living room and bedroom with 2 queen beds. No fresh air fan in the bathroom. There is no parking other than Valet. So you have to pay 19 dollars along with 15 dollars resort fee. It's good they separate it so people flying don't have to pay for parking, but those who drive should have some place to park for free. Such a big hotel that it was hard to find a place to sit for breakfast in the morning. Walls were thin and you could hear noise from other rooms and outside. 15 dollar resort fee only gives 3 Mbps internet which buffered while watching online movies.
The rooms were nice. It's very much an Embassy Suite style hotel. I believe that it was at one time. So we had a bedroom and a living area with a couch, chair, tv and dining table. It was nice having a microwave and small refrigerator. The front desk staff was very nice and the valet were super nice! It was an extremely busy weekend and even after working all day non-stop in the freezing cold, they greeted us with a smile and were very friendly. I will definitely stay there again. Normally I don't post negatives but there were just two things that really bothered me. 1. We attempted to eat that the Echo restaurant in the hotel. We waited at the podium for at least 15 minutes and not one of the staff came to help us. As a matter of fact we counted at least 6 people that looked at us and just kept doing what they were doing. No "we will be right with you", no "let me get someone for you". Nothing! That was completely uncalled for. 2. When the maid came to service our room, she did not do the greatest job. No vacuuming, which the floor definitely needed, and the bathroom floor should have been cleaned too. That gave me a little bit of an uneasy feeling about cleanliness. I realize they were busy but they need to make sure that they are thorough when it comes to cleaning.
Location A light in our room started smoking. Maintenance was called and it took them a while to fix it.
Great location, cleanliness, and price Tiny body towels in bathroom after shower, it would be nice if they were bigger
Free hot breakfast. room felt dirty. My daughters feet were dirty on the bottom after walking on the carpet.
1. We did not get the room we ordered (we ordered dbl queen bed and got single king) 2. The toilet were flooded, it took them over 2 hours to fix and 2 phones. 3. It took them 3 phones and over 2 hours to get to us blanket for the sofa bed (We did not get then Dbl Queen) 4. The valet car retrieving our car took almost an HOUR !!, and we lost ski time.
The telephone in the bedroom did not work. The bathroom had a few stains. The bedroom door was broken. The sofa bed had stains on it and it look like staff members just flipped the sofa matress on the opposite side so that no one would notice.
Very nice and clean beds Pool to chlorinated and cold
Various on site activities and you don't have to leave if you don't want to. The Ridge has it all from swimming to basketball and on site skiing. Plus, a free shuttle unto Tahoe if you want to get away easily. They don't give you any shampoo or conditioner, so if you forget it the nearest fix is their overpriced store! Also, hate the 4:00 check in which doesn't make sense with the 10 am check out time!
The convenience. Park your car and never have to leave. Free shuttle service to ski lifts which is conveniently located at even walking distance. Free shuttle service dropping off and picking up in town. After a day of boarding/skiing, heated pool, jacuzzi to soak up in. Restaurant and spa. Fully furnished condos with stocked kitchen, everything you can possibly need to cook homemade meals. Cozy fireplace. I look forward to returning There's nothing negative I can think of. Very satisfied with stay
Nice view No air conditioning. Cooled down at night with fan and window cracked. Wind comes from resort side and we were on valley side which gets no breeze. They would not move us to other side.
The views, locations, the rooms and some staff members. Check in too late and check out too early.
Room was great and comfortable. The day of check out. Room service started knocking on our door at 9 am, knocked again at 930, then at 955 they decided to just walk in without knocking. Very disrespectful
After checking in at the main building, the room was not ready. The house keeper was still cleaning the room. My family had to wait over an hour to get settled in. It was a horrible experience.
The restaurant staff were very pleasant and courteous. There is no AC. This point cannot be stressed enough. Our room also had a hole in the wall and was missing basics like shampoo and coffee for the coffee maker. This "resort" is sort of tired - it is in need of updating all around. Everything looks about 10 years past due for maintenance or replacement.
I don't like this place too much.just stay one night.
Great price! Great bed, good space in room. Free shuttle down to casinos and back was an awesome perk! Very happy! Only thing I didn't like was 10 AM checkout. Other than that great place to stay for business or leisure.
Beautiful property, nice staff, great views. They didn't honor my preferences for extra pillows. Didn't refill shampoo. Front desk closes at night. We left our room key in the room and had to track down Security who was very nice, to let us in.
The Tahoe Ridge is our favorite spot in South Lake. It's quiet, very clean and we look forward to our annual trip each year. There isn't anything negative to say about The Tahoe Ridge.
The room was ready on time, very clean, and everything in the room was in great condition. The staff was friendly and courteous and we had a wonderful stay. We didn't use the hot tub or any of the communal facilities because we were too tired from spending all day at Lake Tahoe. When we go back to Tahoe, we would happily stay here again. The thermostat in our room didn't work, but we didn't complain to maintenance as we were just there for a couple of nights and could open the window. The view was pretty terrible because it overlooked the basketball court.
Staff was wonderful! Best service I have ever had! From beginning to end!
Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, full kitchen, multiple living spaces, gorgeous views, beautiful living spaces, great for large groups.
I love that it is so convenient to everything! I only had to use my car twice during my whole trip. Everything was walking distance! I'm not sure what had happened but my car had valet parking. And they returned my car with wheel/ tire was flat
Nice stay. Great location Third party check in was extremely slow and my reservations we're lost
The view, the outdoor pool, the consierge. There is no shuttle service from Truckee (connection to Greyhound stop). I spent $270 for taxis for both directions and would appreciate being refunded for this. Instruct me how to go about it. My e-mail: email@example.com .
-Close to lake -Clean and rooms seem renovated -Shower didn't work in room -HVAC unit in room VERY loud and disrupts sleep. -Left watch on bed and left 2 messages with security/lost & found about it -- never heard back -Staff is annoying and tries to sell you on timeshares for your next trip -Overpriced for what it is
The room was clean. The location was convenient for my stay. Paying for parking whether we wanted to use it or not. I did not like that when I arrived the time share sales staff tried to put the fast talk sales speal on me. They should know when someone says no and lay off. Too many kids in the lobby area. Great for families but not for couples looking for a quiet weekend!
it was excellent located property...with easy access to water front and cruise.. why do they charge for parking?
The facilities -- kitchen was complete, indoor heated pool was great, the rooms were clean and the bathroom had jacuzzi ( we didn't use it ). I'd like to bring my friends sometime in July or August and stay in this hotel. I booked 2 rooms. No complaints.
Great value for money. Well located. Nice swimming pool and jacuzzi. Parking fees a bit steep @ $16 per day.
Family friendly Na
The room and beds were comfortable and the mini kitchenette was a nice feature. The lobby and activity rooms seemed nice for families.
Great staff and location. Very close to the water and shopping. Clean accomodations overall. Very small rooms, rather cramped spaces, and no complimentary breakfasts. The drinking water carried a $3.00 charge, ridiculous. At night the jacuzzi party was allowed to carry on until very late, noisy.
You can't beat the beach access! With two young sons, having the pier, pool, beach and bar (for mommy & daddy) all within footsteps of our hotel room was amazing. Convenient and SO much fun. The grounds are great. We sat around the fire pits and ordered dessert one night:-) Love everything about this place. Oh, and it's affordable!
I like the location, very clean and exciting, the room setting was nice and comfy, the pool my children loved! and enjoyed and landscaping was very nice maintance plus, the beautiful fire pit in the evening my family and I seat around and talked and enjoyed. Also the walk way to the beach close to the pier! beautiful view! We had our fur baby and he loved it just as much as we did! so happy the retreat is pet friendly great Plus
The staff made our stsy Rooms were a little small but with the fireplace and deck made up for the room size.
Due to the staffs clerical errors charging us over $200 in room service fees which were not ours "but looked close to our room number" caused an embarrassing and uncomfortable situation when our credit card was declined at lunch, due to the staffs eronious errors, and also not having access to our money for 2 days which is an extreme inconvenience when you are traveling.
Perfect location on the beach and in town. There wasn't sugar or creamer provided for the coffee, and there weren't any wash cloths.
Very quiet rooms. Friendly staff. We went to rent a cabana and chairs to sit on the shore. There was nobody at in the area of the cabanas. Later in the day we again tried to rent a cabana. We were told they had all been rented and the start of renting them was 10 am. We had originally tried to rent one after 10 am and there was no one in the area of the cabanas which were folded up near some tents which had been set up for another occasion. The "beach" had some rocks and the water was very shallow for an extended distance from the shore. The first 100 yards out from the shore was muddy water.
Loved the fireplace in the room. Loved the efforts made to save - with the shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, and lotion. Also, loved that we had the option not to have towels and sheets changed to save on water. The staff was very friendly and helpful!
Loved being right at the beach! We went midweek and pretty much had the beach to ourselves! The rooms were nice. The staff was great! The only thing I didn't like was the smell of the soap, shampoo, etc. provided. It had a weird medicinal smell.
Location on the lake front was excellent. Hammocks to enjoy the views and outdoor. Dock excellent for watching the sunsets. Buildings are old. We stayed on 1st floor and heard every creak and Crack as the people above us walked around. I was aware of their bathroom and showering habits. Our room was not the cleanest. Walls had lots of spots on it, smelled like bug spray but they tried to cover up with lemon scent. Our bed was extremely firm and so we're the pillows. With the noise from above and the uncomfortable bed it was difficult to get a good night's sleep.
Great location, right on the beach. Great views. centrally located. Very good value for the cost.
The staff was very nice and accommodating! Since we decided to not stay there for our vacation they let us cancel without any pay! Our room was next door to house keeping. Washing machines were right next door which were very loud. Outside our door was the delivery dock with lots of confusion. The beach was not as groomed as I was expecting from a resort. Dog poop and cigaret buts. The water there was full of algie which I'm not sure if that is due to the dock? The Ticki bar was full of people which is great for young party kids. But we were looking for a resort with a pleasant, clean and family friendly!!
The free shuttle was great- we never waited for more than 5 minutes for a ride. It was nice to have the continental breakfast as an option. Service was great and everyone was very friendly. Having a kitchen was great. Room (especially the bathroom) was kind of cramped.
Location is perfect BBQ grills on property are nice Pools were not heated even though they advertised them that way. They stick you in the main building in the summer on the first floor with paper thin ceilings so you are awakened by the people above and you are far away from the beach and with only a queen size bed even though other rooms were available the Andrea manager wanted an upcharge of 50 per night plus tax for them even though the reception clerk said it was no problem to move. Andrea the manager always had a fake forced smile and was not customer focused at all. The room carpets were filthy.. they needed shampooing.
The Condo was lovely and clean. The proximity to the sandy beach at Lake Tahoe and the South Shore casinos is excellent. Also, the grounds are beautiful with all of the lovely pine and redwood trees on the property. We had a wonderful relaxing visit, and I will definitely recommend Aston Lakeland Village to my friends Condos located near Lake Tahoe Blvd are too noisy with the traffic close by. I had to request a different condo than the one originally assigned to us, and Aston was very gracious about moving us to a condo closer to the Lake.
Access to beach is great. Shuttle service on demand is excellent. Staff is friendly and helpful. Parking was tight, but we were there on 4th of July. Our suite was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, silverware, etc. (though we didn't need a kitchen for a one night stay). Would stay there again, but book a room earlier and request a room that is located as far from Hwy 50 as possible. Our suite was spacious, except for the shower and toilet room which was extremely small. Furniture could use an update, screen doors were barely functional. Suite was facing Hwy 50 and was REALLY noisy. Needed to have the doors open because it was quite warm. I suppose in winter the noise wouldn't be an issue because you could keep the doors closed. Lastly, we paid way more than the room was worth, but booked it only a week before the 4th of July, so it was somewhat expected.
The fact that is was right on the water The AC unit did not cool the room properly. Had to get and extra fan. The room was a non smoking room but there were cigarette butts on the balcony and the worse part was when I turned my covers down on the bed and found a large black hairball in between the sheets
This was everything we needed for a weekend with my son and his family! The unit we were in is a three storey condo with three bedrooms (one in the loft) and two baths, full kitchen, living room and laundry. And the kids (and I'm including my grown son here) really enjoyed the wood fireplace! Beautiful surroundings, right on the beach. We decided to buy groceries and stay in the first night. ..a very good choice as the kitchen was well appointed. There are even board games! ! Just be aware that the loft gets really hot if you use the fireplace in the evening.
We enjoyed the swimming pool First of all am not saying all employees are not properly trained doing their job but some of the employees yes they are not properly trained especially when they are charging bills to their guests when they checking in like what happened to us it is so terrible experienced we ever had in that place I booked online and make reservation I payed everything online so when I came to the front desk at the resort I told Them that I have reservation and I payed online however this employee asking for my debit card charging for any damages incase we something happen to the unit for amount of $100 for me doesn't matter because he said they will refund it after we check out so I said ok but then after an hour I check my online banking and it showed up in my bank account that the resort charge me $348 I can't believe this people can't do their job right so I told them what happen and they told me that they will refund it and they said it takes 3 to 5 business days to refund completely in my bank account and the next day I saw in my bank account they charge me again $740 I can't believe this place this is so much errors and stupidity why they can't do their job really guy come on!!' so I talk to them again and again and again all they did is sorry we will refund it we just make a mistake. And also at the next counter at my left side another costumer complained because of their errors over charging their costumers!!!! Please don't go in this resort believe me!!!!
Excellent location, walking distance from beach and facilities. Although the room had a full kitchen, it had almost no equipment/utensils and no place to sit for meals. It would take very little investment for them to improve this. Our room was on the first floor and we could hear footsteps from the room above. Luckily our upstairs neighbors where quiet! We stayed at this hotel 10 years ago and the worsening conditions were noticeable.
This is our second stay. Hotel staff is very friendly and willing to help out an any manor. The hotel was very clean considering they allow animals. No issues with any pest. Walk distance to restaurants and the lake. Mattresses need an up grade.
It had a nice cabin feel to it while being far from rustic
Location, quiet, The parlour suite had a very small kitchen and oddly placed table in living room posing as a dining table. The wall paper did not fit the rustic wood feel.
Friendly and helpful staff. Clean, well-kept, great location, quiet, and overall I enjoyed my stay. They upgraded me too, as there was a problem with my original room... If you can afford it, get a suite. Sooooooo awesome. Also, everything you'll need is within walking distance. Pet friendly, but I think there's an extra charge. You can rent a DVD player for $5 a day if you forget your Xbox/PS4, and there's a Redbox at the Raileys a few blocks away. Ceiling fan sounded like a 747 about to take off. At first I thought "Oh cool, retro-steampunk kinda thing"... But no. It was just really really old. Looks like they do update and renovate often and honestly, a fan isn't a big deal in early November. The fireplace worked just fine!!
Really comfortable bed, annoyinh ladies staying next to us, needs a recycling program and updated carpet and cabinetry.
The location was perfect for our short trip to Lake Tahoe and allowed for walking to most of South Lake Tahoe's points of interests. The hotel is an authentic mountain lodge motel with cute, updated decor and well-maintained grounds. The staff was very friendly. We really enjoyed the outdoor hot tub on a cool fall day. The parking was very limited and we were unable to find a spot at all on two occasions. The mattresses in our room were far too worn, although the bedding was fresh and quite clean. We were also kept awake multiple times as the floors/walls are quite thin- you could hear the people above talking and walking in their room. (This is probably a reflection of the age of the building, but was distracting nonetheless.)
Pool and jacuzzi , great clean comfy king bed , private balcony , friendly staff Didnt realize was dog friendly, you can tell by the smell of the room there have been pets. Room was clean but had lingering pet odor.
The rooms were spacious and remodeled. There is an extra table with 2 chairs at the foot of the bed, which seem out of place and not necessary. Better to put in the corner of the room. The location is great! Walking distance to the beach and to the village, the stores, etc. Bed was comfortable, but the pillows were a brick. jacuzzi was nice and spacious. Really liked the 2 tier jacuzzi. According to Priceline, the check in was at 3pm. We got there at 3:05 and our room was still not ready. The staff said check in was not til 4pm, and they would call us when it was available. There were 2 other families that got their room keys right after us, which is off putting. I gave them my number and NEVER got a call. We decided to go back to the hotel around 5:45pm and the room had JUST gotten done they said... this is not acceptable. The next day, we left the room early to go do daytime activities around 8:30am. We left the tag for room service and when we got back at 5:30pm, our room was still not done. As we were leaving for the pool, the housekeeper came and asked us if we wanted room service. I guess she was behind schedule, I don't know. The parking can be difficult if the hotel is full. Towels were like sand paper. Not really a "resort" feel.
I like the fact that everything was cleaned daily during our stay and had all the amenities needed. We were able to cook and had plenty of room for guests and entertainment. The manager took care of all our needs. They had a bit of a bug issue but you could tell it was being treated. We brought out boat and trailer so parking was a bit of an issue.
3 Peaks is located near all the hustle and bustle in Tahoe, super close to the beach, but also feels tucked away and quiet compared to some of the other hotels. They are also pet friendly, which is great! I felt that I paid way too much for one night. We weren't able to check in until 4pm, and then had to check out by 11am the next day. There also isn't anything else included in the price, like breakfast, etc.
Got acces to private beach which was close by and also very close to the village and casinos. Nothing that I didn't like.
Affordable and Comfortable, we stayed only for one night while visiting family. We will definitely be back again. Maybe a ski package or to stay over the summer in the RV park. The dripping of the pipes. But understandable due to the cold weather so they didn't freeze. It was just a bit bothersome when you first lay down to go to sleep. But other than that the rooms were warm and the beds were comfortable.
