The rooms were spacious enough for four adults and the location very ideal. The air conditioner and ice machine were broken and the staff moved our room at no extra charge. No upgrade or anything which was disappointing since we couldn't sleep it was so hot but nonetheless we wanted to sleep through the second night. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE BUFFET. Seriously, the most DISGUSTING OVERPRICED food I've ever had, EVER. Eat at the 24hr cafe. The food is great and reasonably priced. The steakhouse was delicious also but pricey which was to be expected.
the room was fine. The room was nice I wasn't to concerned about the parking lot and roof top view ether. Having No fridge was definitely upsetting you would of thought 25 million in renovations would at least give rooms a mini fridge. The staf should all be fired because they are so rude and don't make you aware of "facility fees" until you check out witch is bullshit. Over bad experience.
If you're looking for a great deal for a solid room in Stateline this is the place. The rooms have been updated and are huge. I stayed here for my wedding and the manager accommodated a late checkout no problem so that I could get ready before the ceremony.
I am single father , I had promised my daughter to take her to Tahoe to play in snow. over the Thanksgiving holidays. I booked a room via get a room It was a good deal,. I have been going to this hotel, since it was Cesar Tahoe, a world class place 28 years ago,.I love their swimming pool and their spa. When , my brother learned about our trip , he also booked in the same hotel. They have a 1 yr old child, they checked in to the 15th floor, In the evening , when they were trying to put the baby to sleep , their hotel room opens up and another group of guest walks in , The Montbleu had double booked their room. When we checked in, the bell person brought our luggage up to our room , I tipped him generously, but he did not even a say simple Thank u. I was in shock. I felt insulted, the bell person , the hispanic guy ,was exercising power and making a statement. following day, when i tried to pay my bill at cafe del sol, after having breakfast, the cashier treated me like a criminal , and outlaw as their computer showed our room 707 is vacant. They want to see my ID. I cried out , my luggage and belongings and ID are still in the room. after 15 minutes argument with embarrassment in front of my daughter and other guest , the Cafe manager , made it sound like as she is doing me a favor by accepting my credit card for the payment.of our breakfast. she said, i am going to this one time. I said , thank u very much After , breakfast , i went to the front desk to inquire about our room showing vacant and they may double book the room with our belongings in the room , but not a simple apology was made. The front desk who was he/she or she/he said sorry very Sarcastically. We checked out that day, making our trip short, i did not feel comfortable and did not feel safe to stay there for another night. sure , things have changed in that place. Never mind the lack of customer service or making u feel welcomed, the presence of prejudice, and employee's ignorance and attitude , lack of management and lack of security screams out. Shame on you and your employees Montbleu. I am forwarding profanity in every language to your establishment for such a horrible and ugly experience. Shame on you. It surely not a family place, It definitely a smoker's place The smell of cigarette is overwhelming. You may walk out of that casino with the lung Cancer. Staff are rude and illiterate and uncivilized with no common sense. When you are at Cafe Del Sol, there is a excessive vibration and Noise surrounding you as there is a 747 Jet is getting ready for take off. While we were there, the Swimming pool was closed. The Steam room is never hot enough ,
The additional service fee for no service
Comfy beds Nice shower Good view of lake Maid walked into our room before our checkout time, two hours before checkout time. Check-in customer service was very poor Can hear people walking down the halls from your room Keep rooms very cold when you walk in
Staff was courteous. We saw a concert which was great except for the "lounge" style seating at tables. We had a good stay. The facilities were a bit dated. The lack of automatic doors was difficult because we had bikes and it was hard to get them in and out.
That we checked out early and went somewhere much better!!! This is a poor excuse for a hotel. They claim they've done $25 million in room renovations, but it's more like $25 dollars a room. No microwave, no refrigerator (even in suites from what the operator told me) the hotel had a generalized stench to it, I best described it as it smells like someone was crop dusting the whole time. Very overcrowded! I wouldn't suggest anyone stay here, even for a cheapened room rate we've stayed in much better in the area. AVOID!
The mountain view from room was amazing
swimming pool, gym and gambling tables Poor customer services. I booked two rooms, but their system was showing only one room on my name. It took them two hours for them to confirm my two room reservations. I reserved lake view, but they gave us floor #4 with terrible view of roof with all the air conditions pipes...Also, their jacuzzi was under constructions.
I liked the spa No microwave
great view, great price pool not open, confusing special in restaurant
Nice location, clean, simple room. No wifi, fair casino, facility.
Timber house restaurant was so much better then "timbers". Food used to be so much better such a shame
Great food! pleasant room, comfortable bed. Plenty of towels. convenient free bus pickup for skiing Heavenly Valley. Tiny bathroom, tiny bathroom counter.
Phone did not work during our stay and was never repaired. Fan blades rattled in air conditioner and took 2 days to fix. in general the entire facility meet upgrading. Casino and restaurant however are good.
Great price for the room
The parlor room was spacious. Our 2nd story room had water-stained exposed ceiling beams. My husband worried about mold. I woke up with a lot of itchy bites and wondered if the previous room occupant had a flea ridden dog in there.
The room was quiet, had two beds, and ample room to move around; however it was very dated, the bed spread was old, and seemed very dirty. We took it off and laid it aside. the nite shade was old and had holes in it. However the restaurant attached to the Inn was amazing, we have eaten there several times, even on drives through the area, a plan that will not change even though we may never stay there again.
Everything is perfect even staff very helpful
That I checked out early.. The room smelled terrible. The staff charged me 80 extra for bringing my pup..and downgraded me to a smoking room! I booked non smoking!
bathtub and shower feature is good, bathroom counter space is good, two separate vanity/sink areas is good, refrigerator in room is good, chaise was uncomfortable, mattress was uncomfortable, pillows were not comfortable, they were down and they flattened out to nothing, lighting was poor and the drawer space for clothing was poor, dresser is old outdated and banged up. Rooms need updating.
Room was very outdated and non smoking room smelled like stale smoke
Close to concert. Great room with a view of Lake Tahoe. Starbucks conveniently located close to the elevators. Bed was not very comfortable. We stayed across the street at Harrahs last time and the bed was better. However, we liked the room much better at Harvey's.
Too many broken down elevators
The rooms were very nice; great bathroom, comfortable bed, and the casino was nice as well. Strange arrangement of the electrical outlets. No real easy place to charge your phone and be able to access it in bed unless you happened to bring an extension cord with you.
Cleanliness of the hotel was consistent. I had to stay at two nights in two different rooms in the 18th floor which they gave me a perfect view of the fireworks during the opening of the gold tournament. Especially the cleanliness of both rooms was satisfied. I loved the valet free parking except tips only. The second night I thought the front desk would rush the room to be ready within the time I checked out the first night but they called after fee hours. Also no one ever answered the front desk when I called from the room in the morning.
We liked everything. Rooms were awesome with comfortable beds, very clean and updated bathrooms, food was excellent, gambling was great, and a perfect location for shopping or to do anything around the lake. Can't wait to stay again.
Our room was so nice. In the lake tower on the 14th floor. Great views! There nothing we didnt like.
I stay here always. Love it. Go warriors
Cleanliness and Friendliness of the hotel
Room and bed
It was my husband's and I first time being in Tahoe and we had an amazing view from the room that we stayed in.
Games, music and casino activity. The room was dirty and cold. I came into the room and there was hair all over the bathroom, open safety pins on the bathroom floor and cigarettes all over the balcony floor. After waiting 30+ minutes to check in at 1am and all day flying to Tahoe i just wanted to go to bed and didnt raise any issues with it, thinking it would be cleaned the next day. The next day I was out and came back and they never came back to clean the room! On top of this the room was ice cold, 50 something degrees even with turning on the heat.
Nothing, No heat in room and it was freezing. Froze all night. No heat in room, extra charge for use of Weight room that we didn't use and Internet that didn't work. Rock music was a bit much. Didn't realize that's all they played there. Would never bring a family there, definitely for adults only.
location rooms in south tower were nice but the doors constantly slam everytime a guest leaves or enters their room. Super annoying
Barely location in proximity to restaurants and village shopping mall. Just about everything. Immediately walking in smelled like smoke and it only gets worse when you try to eat onsite at their only eateries located right next to casino floor. Horrible locations for food choices. We attempted to but it was overwhelming to walk through and service for seating was so bad we walked out. One elevator was broken and we were on 6th floor which turn into longer than usual waits. Shower ran cold in morning off and on. People were "squatting" all over the hotel and even the hostess at check in admitted they had a problem with people checking out on time and well into the P.M. , hence she may not have my room avaialable. Just really bad experience and for a huuuuuuuge price. Our stay at the Hyatt ON Lake Tahoe was cheaper, way better service and during the same time frame. Bypass if you have the choice or stay if your a smoker who wants to gamble and spend lots on the name of Hard Rock. Oh yeah last nugget, they aren't even a Hard Rock hotel, the owner bought the naming rights from hard rock but they aren't under the corporate Hard Rock and that explains a lot.
The bathrooms were really bad. Half redone and half still from 1965. And really bad mold issues. The beds are nice, which is the only saving grace here. BUT - there were a lot of ghosts haunting the place and I had terrible sleep. If you are dying for casino style evening, go across the street! Way better value, way better rooms.
Oyster bar Pool closed
Check in took over 5 hours, room had no AC, was given a food credit for our troubles and the staff was downright rude. I felt like we were treated like lower class citizens because we booked through KAYAK - we were at the front of this mob of people waiting to get our toom, we were there for hours longer than most but we're one of the last people to get a room. This was by far the most stressful vacation I've ever been on. Never staying in this hotel again - definitely recommending AGAINST this hotel to my friends and family. Nothing
Atmosphere, location, customer service and everything in between! Rooms were clean, spacious and beds were comfortable! $200 deposit sucked.. only because it takes 5-7 business days to refund your debit card.
They where close to town The front desk staff was great Small bathrooms in rooms The service in the restaurants was bad
cost Plastic platesl/cutlery for breakfast!
rooms were comfortable. price too high compared to other simillar hotels.1 mile away fr heavenly village
The front lobby personel were very helpful in answering quetions regarding the various site seeing/activities that were offered in the area. The towels for the guests were very small in size. You needed two per person just to dry off from a shower.
It was convenient for the lake
The breakfast selection was really nice with a good variety.
Convenience and the pleasant and helpful staff
Convenience ;close to town. Staff helped find good restaurant Room was horribly over priced and very run down.
Clean, convenient, includes wireless internet, hbo , and goodie bags (toothpaste, tampons, Motrin), continental breakfast. Small rooms, temperature of shower is hard to control, poor towel quality.
It was roomy, the bed was comfy and plenty of parking!
friendly staff, good location to all amenaties no
Great room with 2 full bathrooms. No complimentary coffee or water in the rooms.
Location Horrible service
Poor check in service. No comps.
The hotel was very accommodating and allowed us to do a late check out and change rooms due to an unpleasant odor. The original room may have just had a family stay and there was a lingering smell of diapers. But our room was changed immediately and the hotel happily accommodated my request to be on a high floor away from the elevators. The room was clean, large and comfortable. The two bathrooms was actually a huge help in getting ready. The view from the bar on the top floor for cocktails was lovely. I think my cons have more to do with my own selection. I wish I had chosen a smaller more boutique style hotel because this one and its brother Harvey's are behemoths along the lake. If you are looking for something really romantic this probably isn't it. Every room is identical and blah design. But if you know what you're going for, it's perfectly acceptable.
The rooms were a great value, clean and comfortable. Having two full baths in one room was very nice. They accommodated our request to have each room on the same floor. The Forest Buffet - Seafood was a great value. Our room was closer to the elevator and that was a slight distraction. One family member had to call security twice for rowdy neighbors.
The location is great. A bit run down.
My boyfriend and I stayed in a newly renovated room! It was lovely and we loved that it had two bathrooms. They asked for a $50 deposit and I've never had that at a hotel which I thought was odd.
Staff was friendly. Rude noisy neighbors kept us both up from 2am until 430 am both nights!
I loved the my stay! Everything is offered right inside the hotel, staff was amazing! Casino was super fun! Dinner at the Forrest buffet was great and the hotel had tons of extras (pool, arcade, bar, etc) I would def recommend this to any family and friends wanting to visit Tahoe
The room we got was excellent. Twin Queen bed and two full bathrooms. Room was excellent. No breakfast, no kettle in room, no fridge, no complemtary coffee, no free movie channels and above all, NO GREE WIFi
Upgraded to an amazing suite had a wonderful dinner at Friday's steakhouse.
Nothing Room smelled like smoke.gym was outdated.
The place was good for the price I paid. I always look for a place that serves breakfast. The one thing I hope for is the make your own Belgium waffles and this place definitely has it! Facilities were old and needs a lot of updates. It was a step up from motels really. Bathroom is small and old. Tub didn't drain very well and the towels don't dry very well. There's not a fridge but they have a community kitchen. Definitely did not like the pillows. They feel years old because they were clumpy.
Comfortable bed. Clean room. Good breakfast. Helpful personnel. Nothing
The parking was a little difficult especially when you have 2 cars, but other than that it was good
We were move after complaining at least but for 25$ upgrade Basically got the guy to admit putting us in that room. The young couples are the ones you really should be trying to impress...
Beds are comfortable, breakfast is good, and only a 5 min walk from a large selection of food and entertainment. Definitely recommend staying here
Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean, bed was comfy, parking and wifi free, free breakfast, decent coffee. Good in-room amenities- hair dryer, fridge, microwave TV was antiquated, heater was loud, pillows were lumpy.
Comfortable and great location! Great value.
Good breakfast. Dirty sheets had to be replaced. Bathroom floor was sticky.
Great value, two queens, 4 adults for $89 on a Saturday during the ski season. Walking distance to casinos and gondola. Hot breakfast in the morning with eggs, sausage, potatoes, bagels, waffles. Beds were stiff and not comfortable.
Breakfast included great No microwave,
Location was great, perfect for the lake. Jimmy's restaurant was very nice and the wait staff were great! We booked a pet friendly room for our dog, we were told we could only stay on the ground floor next to the lake car park. It was very noisy and the nightly cost did not match my experience. I am a seasoned traveler and this was not good value for money.
The staff, decor and small, thoughtful touches were great. I thought the restaurant, Jimmys, was overpriced for the quality of the food. Menu did nothing for us.
The service was amazing and staff were very accommodating. Our room was beautiful and the spa was glorious The reading couch in the room was not super comfy but it was a pull out so no biggie
1. There was no hot water in the morning when outside temperature is -8 C and they couldnt seem to care about it.
All was perfect Except the restaurant
Restaurant was excellent - both for lunch and dinner. Sommelier was very knowledgeable and approachable. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Got great restaurant recommendations from one of the valets. Room was very nicely appointed, comfortable and attractive. Radiant floor heat in the bathroom was a nice touch. Free on-site parking with valet service. Great location - not in the thick of things, so quiet, but easy access to South Lake and the rest of the Lake. Nothing.
Staff is excellently trained. Very professional. Rooms are big and comfortable. Restaurant is nothing short of excellent. it is worth staying at the hotel just for the restaurant.
The staffs are the best and helpful. The restaurant closes early 9.30pm and no other food or drink service late hours.
My wife and I were greeted by the valet/concierge gentlemen right away and were offered a glass of cold champagne! Set the standard for the rest of the stay and they didn't disappoint! Love this place and see ourselves coming here for many years to come! Didn't like that my sister in law's room was in a totally different building than ours, but understandable given the layout and they were completely booked that weekend. Also couldn't believe her room was much larger and nicer than our premium lake view king, given our room was $80 more per night. But the view made up for it. After all, it was only for one night.
The decor was much nicer than a motel We called before booking and were assured they could provide a crib and a heated pool. When we arrived, no crib, the pool was not cleaned in weeks, there was construction work, and there was no one at the front desk for most of our stay. We bought a portable crib at the local kmart at 9PM, and when we told them, they didn't even consider compensating us. It was mid week in low season, and there were many other options in town, including 4 star hotels, for cheaper. I don't know why we preferred a "boutique hotel."
Staff was so friendly Nothing
Perfect location next to shopping, skiing, beachfront, restaurants and casinos. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Very comfortable bed. Good wifi and satellite TV services (including HBO). Being an established hotel with a long history in South Lake Tahoe, although updated, there remain a few quirks - but all part of the experience and value.
We found a great mid-week price at this place, they have a very eco-friendly credo, and the rooms are clean with very nice linens. Our two-bed spot was $77 including tax, that was on Hotels.com for a Thursday night room in December. Big screen HDTV with all the movie channels, windows that open to the fresh air. In the AM we called in a to-go order from the nearby cafe (great breakfast sandwich BTW) then we WALKED our skis across the street to the Heavenly Gondola on a Friday pow day. The hotel was NICE ENOUGH to let us park there all day because they weren't full AND (get this) they let us come back to the hotel to use the big hot tub and sauna after we skied and had already checked out. There is even a BAR in the lobby with draft beers. I honestly will never be staying anywhere else in South Lake. The staff were very helpful and friendly also, including Kaitlyn, Jacob and the chill bartender who stuck around late to pour us a couple beers after some fun at the Hard Rock table games. Highly recommended. Five stars.
Very clean and comfortable beds. Had to wait for front desk attendant upon check in.
The decor is sustainable, but very nice looking. Beds were comfortable. Amazing location, walking distance to restaurants and casinos. We stayed on bottom floor and could hear footsteps in room above.
Staff was great...good location to Heavenly Village just right across the street. I would stay there again for sure.
The atmosphere of this place was really great and the staff was awesome. Just a short walk to Heavanley. Just wish you can buy lift tickets at the hotel to eliminate waiting in line
Clean , comfy, nice place. Will stay there again.
easy to find; good location to wedding on golf course we went to; room was adequate size with good parking. staff very responsive to our needs for an iron and to contact others who were staying at same hotel. location was quiet with minimal traffic, yet we were able to access restaurents, golf, and casinos within a short distance. no newspapers; no remote for the television; no iron in room
Quiet location small parking lot
Friendly personell, good location, free breakfast no tea/coffee facilities
Proximity to casinos and Heavenly Valley 11 a.m. checkout
The reception was very abrupt. The inclusive continental breakfast was poor with some cutlery not available!
Interent signal was very poor.
It is strategically located and close to shopping, ski, parks, golf courses, factory outlets, casino, gas stations, snowmobilling, restaurants, gift shops and Lake Tahoe. Laundry is free. We had an upgrade with a dedicated spa to our unit. The flush was not working and I had to fix it myself because it was late at night to ask for assistance. The TV in the living area was also not working but didn't bother to call coz we were out most of the time. Should fix them before any guests check in.
The motel was within walking distance to the casinos. A free continental breakfast was provided. There wasn't enough parking spaces available. The bed mattress appeared old and sagging. The air conditioner was too loud when turned on.
We only stayed one night. The carpet was dirty, the first tv didn't work. The bed had sagging spots in the mattress and you couldn't open the bathroom door all the way to get into the bathroom. No coffee machine or any other amenity in the room. Only downstairs. Continental breakfast only offered bagels and toast. No fruit, oatmeal, cereal, no juice.
The staff was excellent..the rooms have been upgraded. I have stay at this resrt in the past The cont. breakfast was a bit meager
The hot water for shower is not regular, it was switching between very cold to very hot at certain interval. Breakfast variety can be improved, instead of just unhealthy donuts.
The bed's were really hard.
The beautiful location. The room was very comfotable for the price we paid. Very limited choice at breakfast.
Great location, great price. A/C did not work.
Staff friendly and close to attractions Rooms needed updating and no ac and it was warm
Ideal Location for skiing and casino's
It was nice that the staff let us check in early. location was good, it is close to the beach, have swimming pool. bathroom was too small, table was also small only enough for 2 chairs 1 of the chair was so dirty that we were afraid to sit on it. knob for the shower was loose. maid didnt clean the coffee cups or coffee maker. towel for the swimming pool was too small. some of the donuts was so hard ( probablly left over from previous day). it's hard to find plug for your cells or laptop. we have to push the bed away from the wall to use it. clock not working propertly, keep blinking 12:00.
I didn't see any pet's fee charge in either this website nor their website! It should be clearly post how much would they charge during the reservation, it's not very pleasant to find out I need to pay extra for my staying! And the bathroom drain was not working well.
The location couldn't have been more perfect for our stay. We walked to dinner every night at MacDuff's, which was recommend by the staff. (Get the mac and cheese!!) We had picnic lunches looking out over the lake, which was directly across the street from the Inn! We really enjoyed being able to walk around, as well as drive to some fun nearby spots for food and took a drive all the way around the lake! We also loved the gorgeous hot tub out back, clean and truly beautiful!! We weren't properly warned about the fact that there wasn't any air conditioning in any of the buildings as it had been shut off for the season. I couldn't sleep at all the first night, and we didn't feel comfortable leaving the porch door open as we had a view out into the less affluent looking community to the back. I think it is probably worth spending extra for the lake view, and requesting extra fans up front if you are going post-AC season. We were more comfortable after the fans were on, but felt a little frustrated that it seemed to have been kept from us as we were told they would move us if anything wasn't working. After we called to ask about the AC not working, we were finally told that it was unavailable. We still had a great stay, and wouldn't put us off of recommending it, but wish we had a bit more warning going in.
This inn has a great location and we loved the fact that we could include our dogs on our trip with us however, it was run down, and is in desperate need of renovations. The appliances such as microwaves and mini fridges don't work and the carpets are stained. For the price we expected nicer accomations and were a bit disappointed. Furthermore, dogs can never be left in rooms alone as I understand to not annoy other guests however, the many loud drunk people in the pool area at night past 11 were much more annoying than my dog. Renovate rooms, lock people out of pool area at posted times due to noises disturbing guests around pool area,
Location is nice, pool/hot tub was nice Lake view room is right over the busy road which was very loud. No AC meant a very warm room with opening the siding for the only way to cool down, making it even louder. Overall, it was fine but not sure we would go back and definitely would request a room in the back building of the main road if we did
Very Nice, Clean and Quiet - big room
excellent value for money, friendly staff, very clean and great hot tub nothing!
Convenient location, restaurant and sports bar next door. It seemed expensive, until I compared it with other properties. Bathroom and room appeared to be recently remodeled. Poor sound insulation. Noise in hallways was easily noticeable.
The hot tub and the gym The fridge did not work
The bed the wifi cut out and the telephone didn't work
Goid proximity to the beach, free bike rental, free parking. Bed seemed clean enough to sleep in for one night and the AC worked well. We didnt like the dirty towels, outdated and smelly hallways, dirty old rundown room, uncomfortable bed.
This hotel will be my only choice for my Tahoe trips! It was soooo clean, everything was tip top, even the utensil drawer was organized! The fireplace was such a nice touch, and there were even two flat screens to watch the world series on! The price was equivalent to motel 8 but this hotel was by far a five star on my list! Loved the kitchenette and dining area! All I can say is amazing, fantastic, wonderful!!!!
The hotel was really good. The staff was very friendly. The pool was out of order.
wonderful staff, beautiful hotel, great location, nice decor and amenities, awesome value! we had a very pleasant stay, thank you!
Would like to see king beds?
interior. Fact that it has kitchen and living room. It feels like home. Exterior
Beautiful, relaxing stay. Place was beyond expectations - peaceful, nicely designed, great amenities, and enjoyed view into the woods - away from it all! Staff very courteous and friendly. We enjoyed the outdoor bbq, the woods, the comfy bedroom, the total ambiance and appreciated the covered parking. Really, not a thing we didn't like and had no idea of how wonderful place was. The summer weather a bit warm but we managed by keeping windows dark and closed during day; then opening up everything at night and using fan if needed. The place would be excellent all seasons and especially winter while skiing. The morning show with the blue jays and the evening coyotes plus other wildlife made it even more special.
We really enjoyed how spacious the one bedroom suite was. It felt like home away from home.
For the price we paid, the hotel was excellent. It had everything we wanted. The room was great (I think we got the best room in the hotel). We had a balcony on top floor overlooking the forest where we enjoyed watching the wildlife. The hotel was within walking distance of the lake, shops, restaurants, etc Liked everything
This was our third stay. We wen for a birthday celebration and introduced the lodge to three other couples. Like us, they will book again I wish the spa was available (not your fault) and when it is complete it will be wonderful
The surroundings were very nice. The hotel was clean, it was very quiet. Yes, the staff upon checking in were rude, also the spa was awkward and not set up for privacy or comfort the sauna was grose. This was some sort of time share and they seemed to set aside rooms for nightly rentels. The coffee pot was broke no cable the screen door fell off the first time we opened it.
The Lodge at Kingsbury Crossing is a little gem, great location, lovely staff, good facilities and lastly beautiful apartment style rooms with top range furniture, lovely bedding and well stocked kitchens. Certainly a place to recommend to anyone NO !!!
The unit was spacious, clean & well laid out. We had a nice nature view. Nice choices of activities to relax: movies for your room, pool table, munchies, etc. Decor was also nice in lobby areas. There is an elevator with covered access from covered parking drop off. Rules, rules, rules. When we walked into the lobby/entry, loud pop music was playing. Obviously for staff & never lowered when we entered.@ aprox. 8pm on Sat. night. Young man at desk was almost rude in his manner of greeting. He proceeded to tell us he had to read us what was on a laminated page (again, sounding like he'd rather be doing something else!). Then we were told we HAD to fill out a review of the facilities when we checked out. What he didn't tell us were the additional rules in the room: Don't use the dishwasher unless full; wash dishes & leave clean on the counter, and to strip linens & put in laundry hamper or you would be charged $35! FYI, we were staying less than 24 hrs! At check out, we addressed with nice lady at counter who told us those were out dated rules that were going to be updated. She also told us that as we were booking.com guests, the rules were for owners-not us....but that they needed to update those too. She said to disregard as they were for owners only & were old. We told her we have been in many timeshares (and mine is associated with this one) + I am a travel agent & never seen rules like those. She said she would bring it up at their staff meeting. I doubt my evaluation card will ever made it to the timeshare exchange for whom it was intended.
Spa The name is not THE FANTASY INN, couldn't find it!!!
Fantastic Staff. Allowed us to check in early. Location is perfect to many places to eat and drink. Highly RecommendðŸ‘
Best room and hotel I can remember Their free bicycles were a little worn but they still worked and were Free!
The remodeling is beautiful! It was a great location and the rooms are a great price and great value. We loved our King Suite and the Jacuzzi tub! Such a great place!
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
The room was a great value for a Newley remodeled room. Would cost 50% more any where else on the lake. Most of the small roadside hotels are dumps, not this one. No elevator. No big deal their are only two floors.
There was a wad of hair in the shower and the front desk was unprofessional.
excellent room no bath towels in room, went to front desk and none there either.
The bed was very comfortable, and the hot tub/shower combo was huge and relaxing. Freshly renovated wooden accents in the room, brand new sink area. Friendly staff, great price. No hooks or racks to hang our towels, the table in the room had only 1 chair, and the carpet didn't look like it got a cleaning in the renovations.
The hot tub in the room! All the mirrors in the room and not enough entrance or exit from the 2nd level! Also fire pit was in an awkward place!
I liked the overall design of the room. Did NOT like the lack of shower curtains.
It was a cool room at a decent price The coffee make didn't work very well
The rooms were nice. It's very much an Embassy Suite style hotel. I believe that it was at one time. So we had a bedroom and a living area with a couch, chair, tv and dining table. It was nice having a microwave and small refrigerator. The front desk staff was very nice and the valet were super nice! It was an extremely busy weekend and even after working all day non-stop in the freezing cold, they greeted us with a smile and were very friendly. I will definitely stay there again. Normally I don't post negatives but there were just two things that really bothered me. 1. We attempted to eat that the Echo restaurant in the hotel. We waited at the podium for at least 15 minutes and not one of the staff came to help us. As a matter of fact we counted at least 6 people that looked at us and just kept doing what they were doing. No "we will be right with you", no "let me get someone for you". Nothing! That was completely uncalled for. 2. When the maid came to service our room, she did not do the greatest job. No vacuuming, which the floor definitely needed, and the bathroom floor should have been cleaned too. That gave me a little bit of an uneasy feeling about cleanliness. I realize they were busy but they need to make sure that they are thorough when it comes to cleaning.
- Nice location near heavenly village, hotels and attractions - Horse carriage ride just outside the hotel (not affiliated to the hotel) - Very clean room. - Got excellent view of the lake and mountains. - Good room service. - Very courteous staff all around including front desk, valet, bell desk, concierge and breakfast. - Safe area around where you can walk around even late in the night. - Breakfast was excellent with good choices. - Room had a separate living room and bedroom with 2 queen beds. No fresh air fan in the bathroom. There is no parking other than Valet. So you have to pay 19 dollars along with 15 dollars resort fee. It's good they separate it so people flying don't have to pay for parking, but those who drive should have some place to park for free. Such a big hotel that it was hard to find a place to sit for breakfast in the morning. Walls were thin and you could hear noise from other rooms and outside. 15 dollar resort fee only gives 3 Mbps internet which buffered while watching online movies.
1. We did not get the room we ordered (we ordered dbl queen bed and got single king) 2. The toilet were flooded, it took them over 2 hours to fix and 2 phones. 3. It took them 3 phones and over 2 hours to get to us blanket for the sofa bed (We did not get then Dbl Queen) 4. The valet car retrieving our car took almost an HOUR !!, and we lost ski time.
Location A light in our room started smoking. Maintenance was called and it took them a while to fix it.
Free hot breakfast. room felt dirty. My daughters feet were dirty on the bottom after walking on the carpet.
The telephone in the bedroom did not work. The bathroom had a few stains. The bedroom door was broken. The sofa bed had stains on it and it look like staff members just flipped the sofa matress on the opposite side so that no one would notice.
Clean and nice. Was impressed with service and the people Nothing. They did a great job!
Great location, cleanliness, and price Tiny body towels in bathroom after shower, it would be nice if they were bigger
Great location and price. Very clean and the indoor pool is great for the kids in Winter. Complimentary breakfast was good for the whole family. Perfect room with King bed in bedroom, hide-a-bed in living room for kids. Two sinks in room made it easy for everyone to get ready in the morning. Living room TV did not work- they offered to send someone to fix it. Monday the breakfast was very crowded and half of the dining hall was closed, so we had to wait several minutes for an open table.
Very nice and clean beds Pool to chlorinated and cold
Great sized rooms Wifi poor Kept cutting out and needed rebooting
Close to restaurants, entertainment and gondola to Heavenly resort
Proximity to center hub of food, grocery and walking distance to lake and pet friendly. New upgrades inside and out ensure I will continue to stay here for my yearly visit. Nothing.
My SIL were so impressed with this place. We thought for the cheap price we were going to be staying in something gross and run down but this was quite opposite. The rooms are nice and clean, the staff is amazing, and we had no idea how close they were to down town and the lake. We walked to both places with small children. We would definitely stay her again. Had a wonderful time.
The location is just 5-min walk from the Heavenly Gondola. Price is good. Breakfast was ok. Donuts, coffee, tea, banana, and apple. *the apple was just a little bit sour. Internet was ok. I was disappointed by the room service. On the day when I went to Heavenly gondola, the maid didn't clean my room. I was frustrated at that time since I expected to have a clean room after having tiring activities on top. Microwave is too small. Can't warm food with a big box.
Clean rooms and location The breakfast, no channels on tv
Location, comfortable rooms/beds, Continental breakfast
pet friendly, rooms and linens are clean and great location very high price for very cheap quality
Right by everything. Room was clean and staff was friendly. We'd defiantly go back!
Short walk to Heavenly's gondola and the folks are friendly. However, the maintenance is lacking and the buildings/amenities are dated. Breakfast is fruit, donut, and coffee; wifi is minimally useful. Hot tub was nice after a day on the slopes. Good for the price.
We've stayed here a few times and it's always great! The location is perfect. It's walking distance to the gondola for heavenly, stores, food, movie theater etc. the staff is friendly. The rooms are clean and gave a fridge and microwave. The beds are comfortable and there is wifi. Can't beat the price! The hot tub wasn't hot enough.
The room was clean and had everything we needed while staying in Tahoe. Staff was friendly too.
First time in Tahoe, Went with the cheapest place my guy and i could find, But turns out: great value for location. We walked to the beach and to the shops/lifts and casinos. Staff was very friendly. Had both a regular king and also a suite with fireplace and jacuzzi (also for a good deal). Unless you're just super picky about not having somewhat dated decor or your breakfast, I wouldn't stay anywhere else for a higher price. What you read about the basic breakfast is true, but the rooms come with a fridge. To improve: Getting a toaster for some bagels/breads would be nice to carb up for a day on the slopes.
1. Curteous and helpful front desk lady. 2. Tasrefly furnished. 3. Everything was working. Please pay attention to actual comfort not just looks of the unit. 1. Very loud heater - it was louder than gale force wind. 2. Untouchably very rough duvet cover and rough sheets. Thought about sleeping on the leather sofa. 3. Shower curtain and 2 pillows had unpleasant smell. 3. Pillows and cushiins were too heavy and bulky.
Nice view No air conditioning. Cooled down at night with fan and window cracked. Wind comes from resort side and we were on valley side which gets no breeze. They would not move us to other side.
The convenience. Park your car and never have to leave. Free shuttle service to ski lifts which is conveniently located at even walking distance. Free shuttle service dropping off and picking up in town. After a day of boarding/skiing, heated pool, jacuzzi to soak up in. Restaurant and spa. Fully furnished condos with stocked kitchen, everything you can possibly need to cook homemade meals. Cozy fireplace. I look forward to returning There's nothing negative I can think of. Very satisfied with stay
Room was great and comfortable. The day of check out. Room service started knocking on our door at 9 am, knocked again at 930, then at 955 they decided to just walk in without knocking. Very disrespectful
The Tahoe Ridge is our favorite spot in South Lake. It's quiet, very clean and we look forward to our annual trip each year. There isn't anything negative to say about The Tahoe Ridge.
The restaurant staff were very pleasant and courteous. There is no AC. This point cannot be stressed enough. Our room also had a hole in the wall and was missing basics like shampoo and coffee for the coffee maker. This "resort" is sort of tired - it is in need of updating all around. Everything looks about 10 years past due for maintenance or replacement.
The room was ready on time, very clean, and everything in the room was in great condition. The staff was friendly and courteous and we had a wonderful stay. We didn't use the hot tub or any of the communal facilities because we were too tired from spending all day at Lake Tahoe. When we go back to Tahoe, we would happily stay here again. The thermostat in our room didn't work, but we didn't complain to maintenance as we were just there for a couple of nights and could open the window. The view was pretty terrible because it overlooked the basketball court.
Beautiful property, nice staff, great views. They didn't honor my preferences for extra pillows. Didn't refill shampoo. Front desk closes at night. We left our room key in the room and had to track down Security who was very nice, to let us in.
The views, locations, the rooms and some staff members. Check in too late and check out too early.
Great price! Great bed, good space in room. Free shuttle down to casinos and back was an awesome perk! Very happy! Only thing I didn't like was 10 AM checkout. Other than that great place to stay for business or leisure.
Various on site activities and you don't have to leave if you don't want to. The Ridge has it all from swimming to basketball and on site skiing. Plus, a free shuttle unto Tahoe if you want to get away easily. They don't give you any shampoo or conditioner, so if you forget it the nearest fix is their overpriced store! Also, hate the 4:00 check in which doesn't make sense with the 10 am check out time!
I don't like this place too much.just stay one night.
After checking in at the main building, the room was not ready. The house keeper was still cleaning the room. My family had to wait over an hour to get settled in. It was a horrible experience.
Breakfast was better than I had expected. Room was overall comfortable and clean. Limited parking at night. Rooms are not very sound proof.
Location was central to everything. Breakfast was hot and good variety of food. Too noisy at night. Me and my family were kept up by a noisy neighbors who were drunk, screaming, and banging on the doors from 12am-430am. Horrible!! I had to call the police and hotel management, but it didn't help much. We had a big headache in the morning. Ruined our next day.
