Pros: Breakfast plentiful and excellent. Proprietor helpful and friendly. Property very difficult to find, road works and alterations, we drove down what seemed forbidden lanes. Room was smart and comfortable but a little expensive for our budget. We had found this on the internet and new what the room would look like.
Cons: Only the route to find the property. We did not realise that it would not be open until 4 pm and had to waste time until 4. Fortunately we spotted a place for coffee and cake a little way up the road called "Den Hof" or similar. We had been under the impression that an evening meal would be available. Apparently they will provide one, as long as it has been booked in advance.

Pros: This is not a Hotel but a Flat-hotel so don't expect a receptionist. First time I have stayed in such a place. The owners name was Wim and he was there to greet and show us around. He gave us a map of the local area with restaurant and other eating out suggestions. You let yourself in and out of the building with your own key - which also opens your room. There is a small communal kitchen for making free tea/coffee etc. and cold drinks/beers in the fridge which are paid for at the end of your stay. Very comfortable room and bed with everything needed for my stay. Very quiet in central location. Amazing and large weekend outdoor market in the central town square. Fabulous choice of breakfast, with items cooked to order on the hot food menu, together with some local delicacies which were personally prepared by the owners father. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel very welcome.

Pros: Great location just 5 minute walk from the Market Square where you'll find a great many bars and restaurants.. Something a little different from your run of the mill holiday inn / ibis / campanile clones. Great individually styled rooms, very comfy and a little quirky. Great facilities, my room had a little kitchenette. Both floors had kitchens and drying room, Great if your touring on a motorcycle and have damp gear to dry out. Very friendly and informative host who will guide you through the maze of streets to find the location.

Pros: Our room was very quaint and tastefully decorated. It was a lovely size and more than adequate for our stay. The sun terrace within the property was a lovely way to spend a couple of hours.
Cons: The outside of the building is not clearly signposted - no doorbell either so it was very difficult to make contact with the owner. However the parking was attached to the other hotel in the group and a very nice waiter/chef was very helpful in locating him.

Pros: The lady at the front desk was wonderful and really helpful. She even let my friend drop off a package for me before arrival. She rang around for taxis to find us one that suited our needs and was very helpful in explaining everything in English.

Pros: This property exceeded my expectations as the owners took me to nearby St Trond for a history lesson at the Brustem Air Base (where my father was assigned in 1945) Museum. We also enjoyed a beer at the new Droneport that is located at the old military air base. The owners English language skills and their willingness to engage in conversation made the stay very enjoyable.

Pros: Interesting property. Was once a small castle, then a school for girls run by nuns. Now it is a hotel and restaurant that also serves an adjoining seniors' residence. Room was large with an electric adjustable bed. Nice patio area on the 1st floor to relax on. Helpful and friendly receptionist. We stayed here while cycling the Flanders route and the hotel is only about half a kilometre off the trail.
Cons: Breakfast was OK, but with reservations: coffee from machine is instant "nescafe" and the bacon and scrambled eggs were cold. We also had dinner at the lovely restaurant in the hotel. While the decor and ambience were pleasant, the food was basic and pedestrian in flavour. We would definitely stay here again, but eat dinner elsewhere, or bring a sandwich.
