Easy to park. The staff was excellent. Our room was very nice. Well kept and clean place. Would recommend to anyone.
The rooms were very spacious and very clean. The elevators were broken and we were not informed about it after waiting for a long while with all of our luggage we decided to use the stairs. I understand things happen but a common courtesy would have had front desk tell us and offerd any help with our luggage. My neighbors were very loud and obnoxious how ever I did not call lobby which is my fault but possibly having security do a walk through through the halls at night would be a good idea for this hotel.
Clean rooms, absolutely immaculate grounds. All trees, bushes, and flowers were trimmed to perfection. Nothing
No continental breakfast
Rooms are spacious and clean Front Desk staff where not very knowledgable
We enjoyed the room, the view was great of the city, and we could walk around to where we wanted to go. The bath tub didn't drain and so we showered in a tub full of water.
Safe and clean Needs to be updated
My family really liked the pool and fitness area. We even ordered poolside meal service which was delicious. There was a snotty lady working in the fine gift shop who gave my 3 year old and myself the stink eye as my daughter hugged the bulldog sitting at the gift shop entrance
Bed was very comfortable room was very spacious Lots of noise from the parking lot area at 11pm sounded like a street sweeper going through the parking lot
Very clean Not enough parking
Super nice. Friendly staff. Flight was cancelled and they were really helpful.
very good service, friendly staff, decorated beautifully for the holiday season. great location, close to everything. we did not find an in-room coffee maker, which we would expect for our junior suite.
It was awesome. The staff went waaay above and beyond what was expected. Are you kidding me??? How about this....We couldn't stay forever???
We loved the elegant atmosphere and the professional staff. The spa area was especially nice. We thought the parking was hard to follow.
The hotel was immaculate. The rooms were superb in size and furnishings. It was a very good value for such luxury. The grounds were also beautiful.
Great hotel with a great staff. One of the best values in the country.
Beautiful grounds and pool, Princess rooms, and very friendly attentive staff. Jack in hospitality greeted us, gave us great recommendations, and went above and beyond to make our stay welcoming and made us feel at home. Can't speak highly enough for the amaxing and genuine staff. Truely a luxury hotel with first class amenities. Only positive things to say.
It was an absolutely beautiful and amazing hotel. It's right in the city within walking distance of great places to have dinner and drinks.
I just stayed 1 night with my family and beds was very good. I request to set refrigerator and internet access fee is charged free.
the king bed No.
Recently renovated, very comfortable, free parking (unusual for sheraton), real hairdryer 1875w, big lcd tvs, kingsize bed, very spacious room, great location, etc. No minibar (not even empy) in the room, no services directory in the room, phone line was dead and remained dead throughout my stay, one of the side doors that leads to the parking lot remained open because of a carpet that kept it from shutting (security issue), very noise air-conditioning system.
I did not like the lack of service at the restaurant and that they ended up billing me double the quoted price
Great staff. Room was very clean and comfortable.
very nice nothing
Location A sfaff in the reception embarrassed me. I asked her to keep my tumbler while I lift my luggage to the room and when I came back, it was gone and she just said "Maybe somebody took it. Sorry for that!" That was all she said.
By far the staff. Very impressed with the level of customer service. Here's a few odd things- I needed their wheelchair and it's in very bad shape. The left little front wheel is crooked and it has no foot rests. The lids don't fit the Starbucks cups in the room's coffee service. The bar bolt on the door (room 142) was very loose at the screws. The smell of the orange mint toiletries was offensive to me.
Excellent hotel and brilliant service, the view from our room was amazing and the staff were very helpful, room was brilliant came with all things we needed
Excelent facilities, particularly the gym. Good restaurant as well. Very helpful staff. Great city centre location The outside looks little sad, but once inside is fine
So close to the Salt Palace convention center. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were smaller than expected, with no microwave.
Rooms were clean and neat Was told that there was a airport shuttle....not Check in was @ late! Got into room @ 5. Had to put luggage into closet by front desk while we walked around downtown, waiting for a phone call from them stating that our room was ready. We were not the only ones either. Was told that our stay included the breakfast, found out after we had already had eaten....
Clean but with a definite 'run down' feeling, operated on a shoe string and it shows..convenient to convention center if there is no other choice.Personel is friendly and helpful, doing the best they can .. Noisy air conditioning and fan blowing in your face at the desk...sleep number bed a disappointment..TV set far from its prime...dinner quality worth forgetting at best..
Breakfast buffet was quick and very good for this kind of meal. Waitperson was very polite and helpful. Clerks at reception desk also were great.
The hotel met my needs and the location was perfect. The hotel staff was great and the parking was excellent. I would expect the Radisson to be a very nice hotel. The SLC Radisson was not a very nice hotel. The room was just an average room with sub standard furniture requiring replacement. I had a better room at a two star hotel. I don’t think the hotel should have charged to park at the hotel ($24.00 for two days was excessive).
great downtown location, close to it all would have liked a fridge in the room, other then that wonderful
Love the location, very close to Salt Palace. The pool area was also nice. Not worth the price for anything other than location. Bathroom was pretty dirty, the room was nothing special. Our mini fridge was leaking when we checked in and the floor was wet. They sent a new one right up which was great. I wish the floor elevators went straight to the parking garage. It was mediocre for my expectation of a 4 star hotel.
Accommodations were comfortable, inviting, and very convenient to Salt Palace convention center. Staff was wonderful. Service at restaurant was slow and sometimes absent. Disappointing, because the food was excellent.
Very good central location, the motorized bed system to get a better confort was astonishing.
Clean place with friendly staff. They even threw in a free breakfast with our stay. It was also an easy walk to the mall. The room had cool art but, the heater was very loud. Something wrong with the fan. Also no bathroom fan oddly enough.
VERRY CONVENENT FOR MY STAY AS I WAS IN THE DAYS OF 47 PARADE AND I LIVE IN CACHE VALLY. I BOOKED AT THE RIGHT TIME. GOOD RATES .
Everything we came to Salt Lake City for is within walking distance of the Salt Lake Plaza & at a very reasonable price. This was my second visit & would stay again when I return to town. It would be nice if parking were included in the rate, but the $5.00 fee is reasonable & parking is secure.
Great location! The water in the morning would be hot and then cold- not very comfortable!
Conveniently located next to Temple Square, within walking distance of the convention center. Easy access to lots of local restaurants/shops/bars. The staff was always very nice, and the light rail from the airport stops directly in front of the hotel. My room also had a great view of the Temple Square area and the mountains in the background. Not a very big room, although I didn't need a lot of space as a solo business traveler. The bed wasn't the most comfortable I've slept in, but it could have been much worse. They offered the option to not wash the sheets every day if desired (in order to save water and resources), which I appreciated, but did not offer to do the same for the towels.
Within walking distance to city creek Room was very small. Run down. Needs up dated. Not worth the money. Water hot then cold in shower. Staff was ok.
It was in the heart of Salt Lake City across of Temple Square, across of Abravanel Hall, and City Creek Shopping Center. The free fare zone helped to get around using the train in front of the hotel and several buses nearby. Nice view of the city from the hotel. I found a few stains on the upper part of the shower curtain, lack of space to put luggage down, and a cold draft coming from the balcony door even though it was closed. This was mainly due to the snow storm though.
The location is great. Light rail stop right out front. Half a block to the convention center. Only feet from the Salt Lake Temple if you are interested in sightseeing
Nice place, great location and walking distance to shopping mall. Hotel room clean and spacious.
I liked the location and friendly staff The old rooms and broken heater, loud refrigerator. Not the cleanest bedding.
Nice place, great location, has been recently updated with décor, bed was very comfortable, room was clean, free internet with good service Staff was knowledgeable but a little slow, price was a high versus other locations of similar quality, not a modern or chic building but very serviceable.
Unplanned overnight in Salt Lake due to flight cancellation. Hotel is ideally located (really is adjacent to Temple Square and City Creek). Squeaky clean. Deco lifted from a set of "The Americans," or maybe something five or ten years earlier. Not old, just old.
The location was excellent and the facilities were very nice. The young man who first met us as we drove up was very, very friendly and helpful. We had trouble getting connected to the Wi-Fi. When we did (with the help of their out-sourced IT) it was a very weak signal. Also, when we got to the hotel, the place seemed a bit chaotic with wedding guests, wedding parties and tons of people clogging the entry way.
I didn't like that you had to pay for parking each day and you had to pay for WiFi.
I always stay at the Hilton, it's great location and pretty luxury althought there's many more luxury hotels, Hilton is great in price and location, close to bars and City Creek Mall The extra charge for parking should be included with the stay
Rooms are clean and comfortable Room was not ready when I arrived
The daily parking seemed a little steep given both the parking garage and surrounding streets were basically empty.
The view Bathroom Filthy carpets Dated rooms
The firepits and lounge area No outside pool or hot tub. Room wasn't as nice as I was expecting for the money.
It was clean. The staff was courteous, friendly, helpful and well informed. It was close to Temple Square and Shopping! Great atmosphere! No microwave or refrigerator in room. Also I don't like that they charge you for bottled water, $3.00 seems very high!
When I was working I stayed at this hotel year after year, and appreciated the little extras they had. This room was very basic, no extras or frills - but it was close to the political convention I was attending.
Price and service
I felt that the room was very clean and spacious, with a simple but stylish decor. The price was also much more reasonable than other hotels in the downtown area, as there was no major fluctuation between the weekend and daily rates. The continental breakfast was subpar, despite being hyped upon check-in as one of the hotel's best features. I also had issues connecting to the internet, and had to cycle through several different networks before finally staying connected.
Everbody was friendly and accammodating.
Great breakfast every morning
The pool was the perfect temperature and all sidewalks were crystal clean after the snowfall.
From water with some fruits at the lobby to housekeeping job, we could tell this place really care about their customers. Breakfast was wonderful, and they have indoor pool and sauna which were nice. Most staff were very friendly. Walking distance to the train station which you can take to the center of town free!
Just a great place to stay, and good location. No complaints at all.
Breakfast included. Decent selection. Room smelled like a smoker. Bed could have used some padding. No couch for kid to sleep on.
Lobby, sundry shop, room, pool & hot tub, sauna. Close parking. Made use of all of it. Hot tub is indoors, but has great vantage point into the world outside. Room was great: just nothing in particular I need to say about it. :) Nothing about the place made me unhappy.
There breakfast is too notch!!!!
Nice enough place. Good pool. Rooms clean. Overpriced in the summer. Staff lied to me about room availability. Had booked the rooms for a week and then received an invoice the second morning. Was told nothing was available and they were sorry. Then I booked a room online and the staff proceeded to give me attitude. Breakfast setup in a way that it can't accommodate the number of guests. Parking lot is a hangout for homeless folks. Stayed there many times in the last few months but will never go back.
The room was very comfortable, especially the beds . It was was clean. There was plenty of room to spread out. The breakfast food was not good. Most of it tasted and looked like it sat around for a long time. The table area is tight, especially with many families with small kids. Fortunately there are restaurants close by!
Restaurant was very good - except for the dogs. Staff was helpful and friendly Dogs
Location, friendly staff, decor Room 708 must be very close to ventsbof some sort because there is a hum going on the whole day and night, which could affect quality or sleep.
Loved it here! Great place to stay! The staff is so friendly, definitely has a high end feel. Furnishings are very nice and unique layout. Very clean. Bed is very comfortable. I highly recommend getting room service. The restaurant in the hotel is to die for. They accept pets and welcome them with open arms. Valet service for $24 per night is very worth it! Lovely hotel!
I would definitely recommend it . I am going to stay more over there Everything was great.
It was clean and centrally located. TL;DR We were overcharged for the room. The room was dark and tiny. We were "upgraded" to a smaller, darker room. Don't stay here. Paying via priceline was $40 more than the hotel website advertised. On a night when the hotel was nearly empty, we were given an awkward corner room that was poorly lit and the size of a closet. Front desk was nice enough to "upgrade" us.... to a smaller and darker yet equally uncomfortable corner room. The robes were threadbare, faded leopard print, and gross. It was so terrible that we questioned whether we were on Candid Camera. I've been a lifelong Kimpton devotee but never again. There are so many great hotel options in SLC. Don't waste your time or money here.
Well decorated, nice overall. Other people's showers so loud it kept me up, knocking on my door when I have do not disturb tag hanging, if you arrive late at night your reservation may disappear, parking is stupid expensive considering cost of room, no parking for large vehicles.
Room, location, bed, view Girl that checked us in put us in the wrong room and when told did it again. I went to remedy and was told that hotels.com could not reserve the room I requested and that I would need to request refund from them. I went back to wrong room, called hotels.com and miraculously the correct room opened up! Yeah for hotels.com
My husband and I enjoy staying here because it's always modern, clean, sophisticated and welcoming. They are so friendly and the rooms have these fun and creative amenities, like yoga mats & animal print bathrobes. We often have overnight lay-overs and roadtrip pit-stops in Salt Lake City and the Kimpton Monaco never disappoints. No complaints
The staff was so nice and very accommodating! Their Bambora resturant was amazing! The best food I've ever had! It was so good that we ate there for dinner and breakfast. Wine/social hour was very relaxing. It was a fabulous get away!!!
The location was great. $15.00 for parking and no free wifi.
Bed was very comfy and big for me, my wife and out 7 month old little boy. Staff was nice and helpful. Had a great view from the 9th floor. Location was awesome. For a last minute trip, this place a gold to stay at. The bathroom was small, I have stayed at cheaper places with bigger bathrooms. Breakfast was over priced. It was cheaper for my family to go else where for food.
Clean, great location You are required to pay a $15 parking fee per day to use the only parking structure available on the premises.
Bed was comfy...perfect for two. City view at night was amazing. Originally paid for the high rise but they tried to put me on the third floor. Desk worker Sage was very kind and helpful in getting us into a more appropriate room on the 14th floor. Small bathroom....small bathtub. Very few options for "gift store." 7 dollars for a bowl of cereal!!
this is one of the best hotels in SLC, the location, amenities and friendliness of staff is outstanding
Bed was awful. Lobby was stark and uninviting.
The rooms were all updated beautifully with modern bathrooms and very comfortable bedding. Would definitely stay again !!
the staff was great , the bed comfortable , room was nice parking was difficult , room service was a little slow
Convenient to all the downtown sights. Back patio is right on Gallivan Center plaza. Great views of the mountains. Cheerful service from everyone, from valet to housekeeping to front desk. Dinner at on-site restaurant was just okay.
The hotel itself is nice. It's comfortable, clean. Seems best for business or couples. The indoor pool was fun with a city view. We had a few problems with our room upon arrival. Online we had booked a room with a sofa bed, and the microwave/fridge. The room they gave us had no sofa bed for our kids, so they switched us to a room with no fridge/microwave. The staff weren't very friendly. When asking questions about breakfast, facilities, getting extra blankets and pillows etc. they were rude and treated us as if we were being incovenient with all these "silly" questions. The pillows were miserable! Down and feather pillows provide no support so it made sleeping on a nice mattress difficult.
Great location and the view from my window was amazing. Very friendly staff. Clean comfortable bed. For the price the room was small, No spa, No coffee in the room. Not a hot tub, jacuzzi to be found. Room was hot. I was a very sad girl.
Most of the staff was friendly. Room was clean although a little on the old side. Needs an update. Small but comfortable. Reasonably priced. Almost no parking for the guests. I think they rent their "unused spaces" as long term parking for the airport. Had to park on the street, but no problem. Parking, tv remote did not work.
I had just had surgery and was on crutches. luckily there were some nice people staying there as well because the staff didn't seem to have time to assist me. even though it appeared they were doing absolutely nothing but watching me try to hobble out to the shuttle with my luggage.
The hotel was very accommodating. Upon are arrival in Salt Lake City we called the hotel for pick up and they were there within 7 minutes. Our reservation was made over the internet so checkin was harmless. We were given two keys to the room and also two vouchers for the included breakfast the next morning. The breakfast is eaten at a sit down restaurant attached to the hotel. Their food and service was excellent. Great place to stay while in SLC.
convenient location and great price, free upgrade to suite on arrival for a six night stay.
Our King suite room was clean and comfortable. The shuttle service was prompt and only a 15 minute ride from the hotel to the airport. The hot breakfast included in the room price was very good.
Price was great, shuttle from the airport was really convenient. I wish I would have gotten the young man's name who drove the shuttle and worked the front desk that evening (December 13th) because he was terrific at his job and was an asset to this hotel. He was a true hospitality professional. Beds were comfortable, and the room was clean.
Checking in and out was smooth. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Hallways felt like they might fall through. A little uncomfortable.
The paint was new, but that was about it. Everything was out of the mid 1990s, including an old bubble tube TV and, seemingly, mattress. Worst night of sleep I've had in ages.
Comfortable beds, close to the airport and complimentary breakfast. One of our two rooms smelled as if the floor was moped with dirty soap water. Difficult to tolerate the odor. Also, not enough towels in the rooms which were very worn and rough.
The personal was nice but The place need to clean more all the facilites The pool, you don't have nice lobby to relax, the hallways smell bad, was dust in all the furniture in the lobby
Clean & quiet A little run down
close to airport, comfortable beds, good Chinese restaurant. Nice place to stay during my transit.
Friendly night staff Everything was awful. Everything was closed early. The room awash nothing like the pictures. Worst money spent ever. Super disappointed.
Dirty Windows, construction on our floor
Didn't like much of anything. Decent bacon. Giant TV. Construction. Very very Slow wifi. Missing furniture from my renovated room. Rude staff at the desk (especially the ladies in the evenings). Disgusting coffee. Also very expensive for what it is. Very removed from downtown.
Liked the hard floors in the room. Over all it was pretty terrible. There was no heads up about the construction and the fact that there was no room service. The lounge that actually provides food was way to expensive for the quality. We also asked guest services to bring up new shampoo, conditioner, body wash 3 times and no one came. Said breakfast was a part of the deal and got there and had to pay for breakfast. We thought by paying a little extra for the room we would have a better time and we sure did not. Will not be returning there.
they did finally move us to a room with working a/c beds were great No Working ice machine, the ones that did work on a different floor and where out of ice. The a/c did not work. ceiling tiles falling down in hallway pool closed
- Floors were so dirty, they were never swept of cleaned. I wish I brought my own house slippers. It was disgusting! - Upon arrival, the coffee maker still had coffee in it. Housekeeping must have missed that detail...I requested another twice b/c they forgot to bring it the first time. The second time, the coffee maker arrived by way of an irate woman who made it seem like an inconvenience that she had to bring it to my room. On top of this, the one she brought was still DIRTY. I gave up and decided to buy my coffee off-property and that was an inconvenience to me. - Pillows were dirty and sheets felt unclean. To confirm my suspicion there were a pile of pillows at the hall by the elevators, they were all unbagged and just left there for everyone to see. Pretty gross to think that the pillows we put our heads on are just thrown on the floor only to be re-covered by linens when they had been touching dirty floors all day.
Bed was comfortable. Nothing special.
shuttle service to my office the current construction
The location was great. The hotel could have been cleaner. My TV wasnt wourkingbfor two out of the four days I was there.
Modern Feel Comfortable Bed Pool, Hot Tub, and Exercise Room Refrigerator and Microwave Slow-Check-in Untrained Staff Not Customer-Service Oriented at all Under Construction Hallway loud the entire night *Had a job interview and wanted to extend my checkout from 12 to 1 pm, this was denied and they wouldn't even accommodate holding my bags for pick-up when the interview ended at 12:30. I will never stay at this hotel again, it reminds me of a 2 star hotel with a modern feel. I would probably hire legitimate professionals in business attire to manage the front-end and not a bunch of hipster teenagers with no manners or customer service experience.*
close to downtown and universities The staff were discussing me negatively in front of other customers after i needed help with something that they felt was unnecessary.
Neat looking place, very different than typical hotels. More "hipster". Clean, friendly. Very comfortable beds. The fridge and microwave were not working.
The staff was outstanding! Stella and Aple were terrific!
Price, breakfast, accomodations Gym lacking a general weight station, Pool should be inside building, a female Staff member was rude and with an actitude.
Room was nice and spacious. Breakfast was great! Extra 10 bucks to park
Staff was friendly and efficient. Nice rooms. Excellent central location for doing business.
The room is spacious, and the furniture is arranged well. The bed is comfortable, the study desk conducive to getting work done. The breakfast is excellent. The location, near the Convention Center, the light rail, and restaurants and shops is great. The fitness room has old equipment that does not work well. These are heavily used, so it would be a good idea to replace them.
Everything was excellent
Everything was nearby and that you could order from the kitchen 24/7 super easy. Pay to park, I am already paying for a room and taxes and then you charge me to park at your hotel.
Nice look, new Everything was great
The staff was very kind and accommodating. The facilities were very clean, modern, and sleek. And the location is incredibly convenient. The parking situation was confusing since I've never been in the area and arrived in the dead of the night. There weren't clear instructions pasted anywhere explaining what to do.
It was very clean, friendly, and quite and breakfast was great
Nice room. All up to date. Bed was comfortable. They charged $75.00 non refundable deposit for a 5lbs dog. Ridiculous amount. Was not worth the cost with that included.
Coffee and hot chocolate bar!! Best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. Rooms were amazing - huge couch and new furniture! Available parking was limited in the paid lot behind the hotel.
Breakfast, clean room, good bed, quiet, good location, relatively safe. Observed some door propping but doors locked at night.
I was very impressed with the staff, the hotel overall and the food.
Location Young and inexperienced staff
Nice hotel, especially when considering the deal we got through Kayak. It was close to the expressway and I would definitely stay there again.
Staff, quick checkin Very noisy heating system.
The beds were comfortable. The indoor pool was nice, though we didn't use it. The warm cookies were really good. The onsite restaurant had terrible food and the service wasn't very good. The server didn't know anything about the local beer they sell there. Of the party of 4 that ate at the restaurant, not one person finished their plate of food. The veggies were much too salty, the steak had no flavor, the fries were cold, and the chicken with salsa was only mediocre. The prices were high for the quality of food and service. They also placed two holds on my card. One for incidentals and one for the room but they held about $50 more than I should have been charged for the room. When I called the front desk I was told that sometimes they charge double for incidentals and that those charges should be dropping off my card soon and I would only be charged for the price of the room.
clean room, but staff are not so friendly
The executive room breakfast was pleasant and attended by a very nice server. The large pond outside was nice for a stroll around in the morning. The bed itself was comfortable and the room was nice and large. The counter staff when checking in made us wait and excrutiating amount of time, and even called a couple in front of us that had arrived later. The check-in cookies were overly sweet and not fresh, but heated. The pillows were abundant, but none of them were comfortable. The TV didn't work, period. If you pushed the power on it would take about 5 minutes to load a blank channel and then if you hit menu or guide it would turn off, and it would also just randomly turn off for no reason. There was bits of damage all throughout the hotel, from pieces of moulding to chips on the cabinets. The soap provided felt impossible to rinse off. My room was not cleaned in the two days I was there. The worst of all however was the fact that I had prepaid for my room and at checkout I was billed for the room again without consent, a fact I didn't realize until arrive home a day later. I had to call them 6 times to speak with someone to reverse this charge, even though from the first call it was acknowledged that this was in error, and I never actually got through to anyone, I simply had to leave a message explaining what happened. I received a call back two days later on my answering machine while at work that it will be refunded to my card and I'm still waiting for that to go through. I will never stay at a Doubletree or Hilton again.
Rooms were a little older but manageable Had a loud constant humming noise coming from the outside.
Clean and tidy No continenatal breakfast, no free food!!!
My fridge didn't work, but the staff was prompt and exchanged fridge immediately. The pillow is so thick that my night sleep wasn't very comfortable. In the morning my neck hurts. I wish you have some thinner pillows. I'm sure there are quite a few people like me who prefer thinner pillows.
Very clean rooms, very friendly staff. Free tee in the lobby. Room which they gave me first was a bit noisy, because of its closeness to the ventilation, I believe. So I asked for another room, and they gave me another one which didn't have the problem.
Great price. Hot tub and pool anytime rocks for people with a different schedule. Clean and comfortable beds. I enjoyed the sticky notes posted around by the house lady's. Borrowed a wine opener with no rent cost. Screw little America for charging.. The ice machine was down on my floor. That was the only inconvenience. Not a horrible one
Fabulous staff. Great pool. Comfy beds and spotless room. By far the best complimentary breakfast i have ever had..
From the moment we arrived your staff were cheerful and helpful. The kids loved the pool open 24/7 and the breakfast. One of the kids said, "This is the first hotel breakfast I got full at". The room was comfortable and cool. All in all it was wonderful. Mahalo
All inclusive service (breakfast, swimming pool 24/7, business centre services), helpful and professional staff service.
Beds were comfortable..clean room..nice staff will definitely be back.. They posted rules about no kids under 5 in the hot tub..yet there were toddlers in diapers in the tub..should've had someone checking...dangerous
This hotel was wonderful. It served a very good breakfast (free), the front desk staff was absolutely lovely at every interaction, it was very, very clean, and it even had recycling receptacles. The indoor pool is wonderful for the kids.
24 HR pool and hot tub
To much noise in the rooms from the streets, from the air machine.
Friendly staff, good products, comfortable beds
Clean, comfortable bed, polite staff, good location. Great breakfast. I would have liked a fridge in the room to keep a soda cold. No big deal though.
The pool The television didn't work and the carpet was old.
I liked where it was located. Rude staff, rooms smelled real bad. I found a dirty syrringe under the night stsnd. When I asked for another room they were out of rooms and rude about it.
The front desk was friendly. My 8 month old granddaughter began sneezing and coughing immediately, when we got into the room. It was just so old and musty and full of allergens, I guess. But, there were also a lot of weird things, like toilet paper stuck into the peephole in the door, so that you couldn't look out of it. I expected it not to be the nicest, but it felt very, very dirty. And my son found a used needle on the ground just outside of the room.
This property is poorly maintained. The beds are uncomfortable, the tv (giant tube tv) had static on half of the channels and had a remote but no batteries. No phones in rooms. Trash cans outside room were full during my entire stay. Whole place was generally unclean. The street in front of the hotel is one direction and (fortunately) faces into the city and not away from it.
The place was terrible. It was dirty, old, the betting had holes in it cigarette Burns comma the bathroom faucets constantly delete and wouldn't shut off, the internet was terrible, the staff was incredibly unhelpful, and every morning housekeeping was incredibly rude, loud, and continue to knock even with the do not disturb sign on for different times. See above
Very dirty. The beds did seem clean.
Clean room and well comfy bed. Better staff. Better clarification of fees.
Price Staff No Cable Outdated Television/Furniture Broken Shower-head Drugs used and sold in the parking lot no security
Staff was friendly, sheets and linens appeared clean. Everything else was suboptimal: carpets, TV, down to the paint and drywall was ancient and decaying. No airport shuttle despite what is advertised on Kayak.
Location: the best feature of this property. Super-easy freeway access and a quick, safe two-block stroll to the Trax light rail station (Courthouse - the first one in the downtown free-fare zone). Room: comfortable, quiet and reasonably clean though not spotless or super high-end Internet: free … if you could ever get it to connect for more than 2-3 minutes at a time Breakfast: meager and all starches, and I didn't particularly appreciate the numerous local homeless that seemed to wander in and help themselves each morning
Dirty, run down
No fridge Terrible air conditioning Too old
Staff was very friendly, location is fantastic!! It is old and has less amenities but this was no surprise as we reviewed the comments from other travellers. Breakfast is fine nothing special ! But overall it is a great value for what you get. Did not like having to pay for parking !!!!!!! Again the breakfast was nothing special and the internet in the room was slow but I did find that the internet down in the business room was fine!
The building smelt old and so did the room, I was worried my cloths would take on the smell so I left. The toilet was pretty much right next to the wall with the towel rack right over it so you couldn't go to the bathroom with out removing the towels first. The room was very small as well.
Interesting older hotel. It was clean and the bed was awesome. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is right in the center of the city. The room was small and the breakfast was so-so. It needs a remodel. It could be a top-notch hotel with some new carpet, paint, etc.
The beds were very comfy and the decor and location were nice. When the heater turned on, it was excessively loud (hard to sleep through) and the bathroom fan was very loud as well.
The Peery is located conveniently to great restaurants, the Salt Palace, and downtown SLC. I was able to walk everywhere I went. The airport was only 15 minutes away by Uber. All the staff were excellent, very friendly and accommodating. The hotel has that boutique charm and has been redone beautifully. I was there during some unseasonably warm days. Being on third floor, all the heat seemed to come up to my room. Apparently, because of the age of the building, they can only turn on the heat OR the AC. I sweltered the first night. The next day I asked at the desk and they told me to leave the HV/AC system off and my room would cool down. Normally, that may have been true, but due to the warm days, it didn't happen. They then got me a box fan, which helped tremendously. I was more comfortable for the rest of my stay.
The elevator that only holds 2 people and works intermittently. Kinda worn and musty.
It's close to everything and close to public transportation. Also it's a historical building which is awesome. The place have a lot of history which made us really like it. The breakfast is not really good it's an ok breakfast. And also there is no parking so you have to pay hourly Parking or park from 8 pm to 8 am for free
The staff was wonderful, even going so far as to loan me a phone charger because I left mine at home! The hotel is a 15 minute was to the Family History Library, right through downtown. The lobby is very nice. The room was perfect for my needs, clean and simple. It's not the Ritz, but that's not what you're paying for! Great value. I'd stay here agin on a trip to Salt Lake.
The bed was amazing and the bathroom was massive The room did get a little cold at night.
Clean. Vintage. A/C didn't work and it was way too hot. Rooms were tiny and a bit cramped.
Staff was great. Friendly, helpful and professional. The key card system was broken, so no room keys. Quite a hassle.
Very comfortable bed! Room was so clean and spacious. Staff were helpful. The pool and hot tub were very nice as well. nothing - all was wonderful
Breakfast was way overpriced if you are taking your family.
The staff was very friendly and helped me out on getting my stay extended another day unexpectedly. Rooms were great and thanks so much for the parking garage.
I wanted more tv options for my kids or to have DVDs and players available
Rooms are spacious. The whole room was comfortable! Room service was excellent. My go to hotel anytime and everytime I'm in Salt Lake no complaints.
The location of the hotel was outstanding. Literally across the street from the sports arena and just a block away from the Salt Palace convention center. In addition, the staff was always very attentive to whatever we needed and whatever questions we had. So while it was a business trip and I had zero say as to where we were staying, I was very impressed and would absolutely stay there again next time I'm in SLC. It was a new hotel (I think 5 weeks old) when we stayed so they were still working out the kinks. The room phone wouldn't work except for when on speaker phone, the thermostat unit wouldn't drop past 70 for the A/C setting and the position of the shower head to the shower door created inevitable run off onto the bathroom floor (nothing a towel couldn't soak up but, you know, still a curious choice). But those are very nit-picky things and will easily be overlooked the next time I'm in SLC because I will be staying there.
The hotel and its staff were very nice and welcoming, even accommodated a late checkout request, so I was pleased. I was surprised this location didn't have a shuttle to the airport and yet airline crews were staying there - maybe special arrangements are made for them. Other hotels in the area do offer shuttles.
The breakfast was delicious, rooms were spacious and clean. We love the kitchenette and updated appliances. We stayed on a busy weekend but it was not too crowded or loud. Location was close to many things but not a great view. The breakfast was delicious but availability of food items varied, possibly due to a large group that was staying that weekend.
I liked the room I stayed in. It was a one bedroom suite. It had a little kitchen, dining area and living area. The closet was big. It felt like an apartment. It was well decorated. I loved that there were dishes and cooking utensils. Plus a dishwasher. Bathroom was a good size also. It would have been so much better if they'd had a indoor hot tub. I didn't get to swim in the pool because it was outdoors and it was closed. I didn't love having to pay $10 for parking every night also.
