8.0 Excellent
Pros: MODERN bungalow in a lovely garden and ideal for persons with a car.
Cons: the location was not close to restaurannts
7.0 Good
Pros: Room was good sized and comfortable facilities in the room were adequate. Food was good quality, tasty and reasonably priced.
Cons: If Driving, the access to the resort from the main road was about 8oom via a very narrow bumpy lane, dangerous at night The walkway to our room was by a raised wooden gangway, slippery when wet and no railing to stop you falling off especially at night. Not close to the city centre.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We only stayed for one night and that was á Shake because that resort is absolutly stunning! Very stylish, very clean, amazing garden with pool and the crew was really nice! If you ever go to Ranong this is the place you to stay!
Cons: Everything was perfect!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed for just one night in transit and arrived late. They were waiting up for us and took us straight to our room where we slept wonderfully well. We really appreciated being let off signing in till the following morning. We had a good included breakfast followed by a lazy morning by the prettily landscaped pool. They efficiently organised our taxis from airport and to ferry.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very nice and very quiet. There are only 8 rooms here in this property. Staffs are at front all the time to serve your needs. Great! I like it
Cons: I ordered breakfast at 7 am, asking for them to prepare everything in normal catering ( normal blow). But they only can manage porridge in paper cup. But we eat them all in the hotel anyway.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful garden that engulfed the resort
5.0 Okay
Pros: It has deteriorated since we stayed last year. Seems to be catering more to Germans. Not much English spoken except for one of two staff. We had asked for a room close to Reception as I have mobility issues - we were put in a room as far away as possible from Reception. The staff are as always - anxious to please and very nice. But the aircon was VERY poor, there were squirrels running on the roof at 0300 and we thought they were rats. Please tell the Guests!! Dinner was OK - just. Breakfast was "interesting" They had forgotten to put beans and water in the coffee machine and said the electricity was low - but the ceiling fans were whirring and the lights were all on. So they couldn't do a hot breakfast - but after 10 mins all was OK!! It's a charming place but someone needs to get a grip and smarten it all up.
Cons: Staff training needed. Not value for money.

The Blue Sky Resort Koh Payam - Mueang Ranong - Pool

8.2 Excellent (123 reviews)
₹ 12,646+
Overview Reviews
When you stay at The Blue Sky Resort Koh Payam in Ranong, you'll be on the beach and 6 minutes by foot from Payam Pier. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly & location is great
Cons: Breakfast the same everyday
6.3 Good
Pros: Great staff and great food at the restaurant rooms were nice
Cons: Horrible location absolutely nothing to do garbage everywhere on the beach and the restaurants in town I got sick from, and the TV was horrible one station out of all of them spoke English
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location very good on the beach and the views from pool area excellent.
Cons: Front of house staff had very very limited English which is very surprising given the property to pushing itself as 5-star. Often the answer was 'no' or 'cannot',,,,staff simply had little interest in dealing with customers that cannot speak Thai. Breakfast offering well below standard given room prices. Our room was situated near staff quarters and every morning was woken up at 5:30am through talking / laughing etc. Asked 3 times on the final morning for staff to be quiet and was completely ignored. Staff did not have the mental bandwidth / intelligence to understand guests should not be woken up. Failure on management's behalf of understand / police this issue.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: But our experiences were almost only positive! Our best experience with the Blue Sky Resort is that people working were very kind, friendly, very sweet and very hospitable (in contrary to many reviews here). They managed to surprise us, since I had informed them about my and my wife's honeymoon there, by putting all kind of small, yellow (=lucky colour for Thai) flowers in tiny glass cups everywhere in our cabin! That was so sweet. The flowers came from the flower tree with butterflies in their garden, of which they were proud. So kind of them to have arranged this. Next to this wonderful surprise, there are many many reasons why this place is a paradise: the cabins (we had one near the mangrove River) were beautifully designed in the inside and outside with little details. The low and high tide of the sea water gave us different views of the surroundings and cabin each time we walked there (note: the cabins are not constantly surrounded by water, because of the tides), in the mangroves. The surroundings and tides give this place a very unique and a nowhere else to be founs stay! We had the best full moon view over the water while lying in a hammock. Breakfast was good, there were quite a lot of different options to choose from (if you like Asian food). The swimming pool service was excellent, and the people were always helping us out, whenever we needed something and even anticipated our needs. And a cool thing you can do is visit the mangroves, next to the resort, by kayak which you can use for free. The location of the resort is on a very quiet part of the island. And last but not least: they even waved us goodbye for minutes when we left the resort! (We stayed in the middle of December 2019 for 4 nights) . Thank you for making our honeymoon a wonderful and magical experience!
Cons: Blue Sky was a paradise for us! But if I have to give one major complaint: the constant sound of a generator, during day and night, next to our (R12) cabin and other cabins. Because of this it was hard to fall and stay asleep. If you are a light sleeper and you have the choice, try to avoid the R11, R12 and R13 (which is the closest to the generator) and L6 and L7 cabins. And two minor things: 1. It's great you can borrow the bikes, but mind the breaks, they don't always work well. 2. The restaurant closes sometimes quite early (at 20pm).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wow very beautiful, loved every moment with my beautiful wife will come back again with the family next time. Wonderful and relaxing.
6.7 Good
Pros: Room spacious and clean
Cons: Location is poor
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely bungalows with very comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, tasty food. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were cleaned on a daily basis. The pool and pool area ist nice and clean. Also, the beach in front of the resort is clean and nice.
Cons: The resort is quite pricey. The bar and restaurant shut at 8.30 pm. Breakfast is only available from 7.30-9.00 am. Smoking is only permitted in a small outside area (not at beach front or pool) the fridge in the bungalow could have been stocked with drinks.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location.. location. But the island itself looks like an abandoned island.. very run down..
Cons: Food selection. Breakfast is very few selection for the money you pay. Also 60% of the items in the menu not available is the answer every time.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Nice staff, equipment for water sport activities (like canoe) have been available for free.
Cons: On booking.com this Resort had the highest rating on this island. But when we compare price to room, then we must say rooms are heavily overpriced for this island. Breakfast in our opinion very poor in variety of offering. All in all we have been disappointed, especially when we started to look around the island and compare with other resorts. There are much nicer ones available for a more affordable price.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: - The Tranquility and quiet - The very friendly and attentive staff - The beautiful garden and swimming pool with marvelous view - The nice and comfy bed - The large room with good-size balcony in which to relax, read a book
Cons: - The remoteness of the location from town - The condition of the dirt road going into the property - The condition of the room furniture that needs to be replaced or at least given a new coat of paint
7.1 Good
Pros: I like location of the hotel but I don't like the road from the main road to property - the location very Isolated but good for relaxing. The garden area are very nice .-
Cons: The road going to the hotel is not good, it contrast to the quality of the hotel. It's not an adventure hotel, this hotel is only for relaxing! When we came back from the city around 21hrs. the road have no lights. The hotel lobby and pathway going to the rooms were too dark at all. Their breakfast is very limited compare to the price. They have ala-carte for breakfast. They offer American and English Breakfast. We asked for porridge and they charged us for 120baht,compare to the room charge 2,499baht. it's quite ridiculous American Breakfast with 2 slice of toasted bread, eggs ( maybe scrambled or sunny side-up)your choice, one sausage and 1 slice of ham and a piece of bacon. Anyway we understand that's why we ask and pay extra compare to their 4 star in booking.com. Please check the standard of the hotel. The suit room is quite run down. Have moths in the bedroom and the blinds is broken.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Bloody nothing You might find one if you live through a pre-modern war.
Cons: Literally everything The road leading in was a disaster. The location is different from what displayed on website - it's much further from the city and the road technology was from Roman era. The room was world apart from what displayed in website. It was literally living in a poor flat next to slum - See the image if you think I'm exaggerating. Reception didn't work at night so it became my job to take care of their bloody problems.
5.0 Okay
Cons: The road to this hotel is so bad.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Private quite place with nice nature, poppies round. Lovely stuff.
Cons: No beach.

7.5 Good
Pros: Good to stay for an overnight
Cons: Mosquito in room, light too deem.
6.7 Good
Pros: This is one of the few hotels that I have stayed in that has a commercial hot water system. No little box on the wall, full hot and cold water faucets in the shower and sink.....excellent for shaving....again very rare for these level hotels.
Cons: WiFi dropping in and out, the staff wasn't very friendly. (I can speak Thai very well). Also, the beer in the restaurant down stairs is 95B a bottle for Leo. Outrageous. Out the hotel to the left, down the sidewalk about 500m there is a store. Buy your beer there.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: My room was already occupied by another traveller so the owner booked me a room in another hostel next to kiwi and offered me the dinner as a compensation. I really appreciated the effort.
6.0 Good
Pros: Old fashioned backpacker place, the type that is dying out now in South east Asia. A bit overpriced for what you get but the best option in town for arriving and departing. The boss Jai is a tough cookie but nice. The staff haven’t got a smile for the cat. Perfect for onward travel which is all i needed.
Cons: Nowt
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Steps away from Ranong Bus Station. Good coffee shop, convenient store & restaurants near by...and that's all.
Cons: Don't stay here. For 100-150THB more you could get way better accommodations & services in town centre.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Simple room with a very comfortable bed. Very delicious food for a good price. Owner is very nice and friendly. Very close to the bus station, so perfect to catch a bus in the early mornimg. Breakfast is served already from 5am, which is amazing.
7.0 Good
Pros: Near the bus station, 20 min walk to hot springs. Ok place for the money, don't expect luxury!
Cons: Ok but business like owner. No breakfast
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Jai, the owner, is a wonderfull helpfull multitask woman, she'll fix anything for you.
Cons: Close to the bus station is good but a bit noiser.
4.0 Okay
Pros: As said, you get what you pay for, there was a bed and a fan.
Cons: You get what you pay for, the place isn't too clean and it smells through out the building.
7.5 Good
Pros: -clean bedroom -clean bathroom -functional fan -nice and helpful host -proximity/walking distance to the bus station and to food stalls, restaurants and cafés
Cons: -without a window, there is not much air entering in the room -smell of freshly cooked thai food in the morning - I guess that’s just a fact given the design of the accomodation - the hosts family probably lives and eats there too and the house is built in a way that the kitchen sends its smells everywhere -children doing small tasks for the guest - I don’t think they are properly working there but just helping out, maybe also to learn some english - but still it felt weird to be led to the room by a kid
