Cons: When i was online trying to select a room. From the website, the room grade i select was suppose to be the newly renovated rooms with rain shower, marble bathroom counter, tv in bathroom and etc... But when i check in, i was assigned to a older room at the main building without all as described. I call the loddy and they told me that my room grade was not the newly renovated rooms, it is available at the next higher grade room. I was not too happy about this as i feel that i was misleaded to book at this hotel because of the renovation. But not so. I talk to the manager and she allow me to change room, but keep reminding me that this is only a courtesy upgrade, next time please book the higher grade room. My point is that the hotel are giving miskeading into on website to customers and the staff should be aware of the room class and provide the correct room to customer.

Pros: with our short stay here in Manila Hotel, I am very impressed with the quality of service that we receive. The staff went above above and beyond. My children are picky eaters and the drinks that they requested were not in the menu; however, they provided us the drinks that my children wanted.Their food pricing is average and fair. Also, without asking them they packed us breakfast to take it with us during our check out and this is like 2 AM in the morning. In addition, when it comes to security they are top notch. Before entering the lobby all handbags,suitcases should be screened by the x-ray machine that resembles the machines that the airport use. Furthermore, the lobby is fabulous and the their rooms is beautifully preserved which i think added to a certain ambience of colonial style. We enjoyed the live classical music show. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Cons: When you booked online, you need to know how their rooms really look like. They place me in the worst rooms (which was on the side of the hotel building). I have been in Manila Hotel a lot of times and I was very upset when I entered the room (smelly, dusty, old) does not look like what I saw in their website. you can asked for the manager and have her (ms.mcruz) fixed the problem.

Pros: The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The bedding is excellent and the furnishings are all nice. The bathrooms are very nice too. Didn't have meals other than the breakfast buffet, which was the nicest I have ever had, in any hotel (previous stays U.S., Canada and Europe). Had never been to the Philippines and wasn't sure what to expect in accommodations. Manila Hotel surpassed my expectations by a significant margin. Has a feel of true luxury.
Cons: Some of the surrounding areas seem like they could be a little unsafe. This is not a criticism of the hotel, which is over 100 years old and has probably seen much change in the city. The hotel takes safety and security of its guest very seriously. Just ask them if you have questions about the surrounding areas. We did venture out for dinner and were careful. Keep most of your money in the hotel safe and don't be alone if possible. Bottom line is I will still look to stay here when in Manila.

Pros: I went to the dinner buffet, and it was literally the best one I've ever been to in my entire life. Additionally, although the hotel is a bit dated, it's classy and a very special place.

Pros: Courteous staff who are always ready to attend to your needs with a big smile. Great location to reach different points in Metro Manila if you hate traffic. It's a great deal for the money. You can't beat the variety of excellent Chinese food offerings at Li Li. The Market Place Restaurant has the most extensive menu for brunch from Pilipino, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, European or continental fare.

Cons: Checkout out Makati Diamond Residence instead. Clean, new, safe area. The location is terrible. Think it’s awesome being a block away from the beach? NOPE. Manila bay is dirty, stinky and gross. The streets are dirty and neighbor streets smell of raw sewage. There are many homeless people living on the streets right outside the hotel. The decor is old and drab looking. My room had a feel of it being outdated and worn out.

Cons: I was the only one in the front desk - and the gentleman did not even ask me if I need anything. I had to ask him if he can help me to check-in - very unprofessional. We checked in to room 726 - kept coughing and sneezing in the middle of the night due to the a/c filter was so filthy. Finally turned it off and the coughing and sneezing stopped. Went to frontdesk, and had maintenance check it out - I even took a picture of the filter. He kept insisting that it's clean even you can see how filthy it is with your naked eye. He won't admit that it's so dirty - I did not bother to argue. I do not recommend this hotel at all!

Cons: The only up side in this hotel is the desire of their staff to make up for the poor hotel condition. I would rate their staff A. However, the rooms have really disturbing issues. 1. Chairs and beds are worn out and the carpet have evidence of molds growing in them. The toilet pluming is old and often have the danger of clogging up. 2. The corridor carpets have evidence of molds growing in them as well. 3. The management of this hotel clearly must have serious capital issues as their hotel needs serious renovation ,not to mention,major cleaning up operation to make their hotel safe for guest. 4. This hotel will not pass under US standards and will most likely be shut down for health hazard conditions. Definitely not recommended for ASTHMATIC,COPD or people taking immuno suppressant drugs.

Pros: I wanted to write you and tell you about my experience staying at H20 I am a Disabled American , when i arrived the elevator outside was not working and they dont tell me you have a ramp so i had to walk up the steps into the hotel. No one took us their we had a hard time find entrance to go too the 3rd floor. Once im on 3rd floor i had bellman tell front desk if they have special check in for disabled so i dont have to stand in line, the lady told him yes then ignored me and took 6 more people ahead of me. I talked with Bhelle and asked about park she told me buy tickets there and we can use them the next day if we dont see all teh attractions. I asked can i buy there she said no from concierge. we went concierge and he said no got buy at ticket window. So we did that then we go to park at 2pm the next day and cant finish attractions and then they say we cant use them the next day. had i known that i would not have got the 750p tickets. My kids very dis-pointed. The hotel is very un helpful to disabled handicapped people. Their was a lot of garbage outside our window, room 2101. They did put us in the wheel chair room as i needed wheelchair. We were booked in a room with twin beds. Hotel is clean food good but after 3 days sick of eating at same resto and same food. You need another restaurant

Pros: The trademark of the hotel is definitely the in-room aquarium, which is why I wanted to try it out. My 6 year old daughter was entertained and spent hours watching the fish swim around. Ocean park is right outside as well. Excellent location for guests planning to visit. Shower and toilet were clean and the water heated up very quickly. Decent Wi-fi speed. Bed was comfortable. Room service was quick. All you can eat breakfast buffet is really good since its free for 2 guests per night. But I had a few guests over for breakfast and i felt like paying 600 php per head was a little too much. Service was excellent.
Cons: Bath tub placement was questionable since it was out in the open. Not a problem for kids who want to swim around but no privacy for adults who want to take a bath (unless it's more of a couple's romantic weekend, then it wouldn't be a problem). Menu for in-room dining is very limited. Some of the decorative pillows looked like they needed to be replaced. I was really hoping to get a room with a view of Manila Bay AND an aquarium, but its either 1 or the other. I would have paid extra for the suite, but it had no aquarium.

Pros: Horrible Hotel! Water all over the bathroom after taking shower. Ask for just hand towel and they will demand P100 extra for it. Restaurant food expensive, you can't touch the in house massage service and you are not allowed to hire one from outside. If you ordered food from outside the delivery person is not allowed to come to your room for delivery - If this is for the sake of security, why can't they escort the delivery person to the room.You will not be able to transact your business smoothly if you depend on the hotel WiFi. WiFi is mostly down and if it does work, it is extremely slow. Call the front desk staff for anything, all you will hear them say is "Yes Sir" it will take several calls to get anything you want done. Cons: Horrible Hotel! Water all over the bathroom after taking shower. Ask for just hand towel and they will demand P100 extra for it. Restaurant food expensive, you can't touch the in house massage service and you are not allowed to hire one from outside. If you ordered food from outside the delivery person is not allowed to come to your room for delivery - If this is for the sake of security, why can't they escort the delivery person to the room.You will not be able to transact your business smoothly if you depend on the hotel WiFi. WiFi is mostly down and if it does work, it is extremely slow. Call the front desk staff for anything, all you will hear them say is "Yes Sir" it will take several calls to get anything you want done. Pros: I booked a king size bed room,but when I arrived at the hotel,there was no that kind room left,the staff did not apologize just just ask if i want to change.I was so disappointed.
Located in Malate, this hotel is within a 10-minute walk of Malate Church, Manila Bay and Baywalk. U.S. Embassy and Robinson's Place are also within 15 minutes. Quirino Avenue LRT Station is 12 minutes by foot and Pedro Gil LRT Station is 12 minutes.

Pros: Bargain price
Cons: I booked online and chose the wrong date...I immediately contacted the hotel but the wouldn't allow me to change to the correct date..I wasn't asking for anything free but I only wanted to change to the correct date and they wouldn't allow it..I was forced to lose that nights stay and pay for the correct day.
