Pros: My wife and myself were overwhelmed with the buffet/breakfast which exceeded all of our expectations. However, we did ask for a fan for the bedroom and we were told that they didn’t have any available even though I wrote and requested it. We were moved to a superior room which was very generous of the hotel however we had to open the window for air but the noise from the road was unbelievable and we didn’t sleep at all. The hotel staff were very apologetic in the morning but it still left a slightly “bitter taste” because we had to travel the next day and were extremely tired. Our hotel in Seville provided a fan upon arrival and when we leave here tomorrow I will write the review for Ayre Hotel Seville which will be 10/10

It was working at the reception area so they should use a stronger router or other solution. However, even at the reception area, several websites were not available via wifi - they worked on other networks or on mobile data, so it must have been something with their settings. Pros: Location is excellent. It's the third time in this hotel and each time I like it more and more.
Cons: Indeed nothing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The very friendly and helpful staff
Cons: The fact that I booked a double room and when I got there I had to pay €40 extra to get a double bed! #NotAcceptable
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast, friendly staff.
Cons: Rooms are very small and decor is dated.

3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location. Hotel employee were awesome. Breakfast was spectacular.
Cons: Walls paper thin. Dark rooms. Faced an inside courtyard which kept our room dark all the time. Felt constricting. No sunlight. No view. No gauge of weather.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great central location, good comprehensive breakfast, very nice and helpful staff
Cons: The room was a bit dark, but not a big deal in winter time
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect, 500mt away from Prado museum. Close to good restaurant. I stayed in standard room and it was big enough, clean and nice. The breakfast was more than enough.
Cons: Nothing. Just one note: if you’re in Madrid for business then it’s not that good to stay in the city center because of the traffic jam during the rush hours. This is not the hotel’s fault though :)
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The location is the only thing going for this hotel. Not much else I can say positive.
Cons: The rooms were extremely claustrophobic. It was very difficult to sleep here. Wall as are very thin. You can clearly here the conversation of other guests in their rooms and in the hallways. Complained several times- nothing done.

8.2 Excellent
Pros: We like the location and the staff.
Cons: I was shocked that my 2 hardboiled eggs and yogurt (in room breakfast) was $30. My husband got fruit and Muesli and it was an additional $30. $60 for a small breakfast!!! Apparently if you order anything they charge you for a full buffet. Had I know that, I would have just gone downstairs to the buffet. The laundry service was also ridiculously priced. My husband washed 4 pairs of boxers and three pairs of socks and it was $60. Shame on us for not planning better, but shame on them for price gouging.

Pros: - Amazing Breakfast with variety of fresh juices (my booking was not included with breakfast, but 9 Euro is not at all expensive for such a fabulous breakfast. and for child it was free.
- kids play area in the lobby - my eight year old daughter enjoyed there a lot, and I have seen several kids happily playing (I seldom see such arrangement anywhere else)
- excellent design make a luxury feeling
- Bed and pillow was so comfortable and soft (one of the main component I looked when booking) - so met the expectation
- enough space inside the room (though not a lot)
- helping and smiling staff

Pros: Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel lobby is very nice and the breakfast for €9 was ok. But can find better places to eat just out side. It’s in a very good neiborhood.

Pros: The hotel is walking distance from parque el buen retiro, and has metro stops for two different lines and the airport shuttle within two blocks.
The rooms are ample and clean, but my favorite feature of hotel was a handheld city guide (converted Google phone) that was programmed with suggestions for activities, and info about tourist attractions in city. I live in the USA so my phone would have been roaming and expensive to use. The city guide allowed me to navigate the city, and look up information as I walked around. It was extremely helpful.

Cons:
6.0 Good
Pros: We only stayed one night and it wasn't explained that different lifts do odd and even room numbers, not odd and even floors.
Cons: The bathroom. Lots of room but the sink, shower and toilet all pushed together giving the feeling of a small bathroom. The price of the room service, €15 for a glass off wine?
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location
Cons: Nothing, we only stayed a few hours before we caught our flight
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Restaurant, bars and terrace
Cons: They had a fire alarm test but did not let us know so we paniced for nothing.

Cons:
7.4 Good
Pros: Individual members of staff were lovelies. The pool boy, bar staff and the night reception staff. It close to the shops and has good access to pretty much everywhere. On the surface it is very beautiful.
Cons: Shower dripped constantly. The ac worked sometimes. Arrived with a child and 4 pieces of luggage not one person greeted or helped us down the steps into the foyer although there were at least 6 bell boys standing there. They seem to assume their customer want to steal from them. It's very strange. The pool is tiny and sunbeds are scarce. Apart from the one you can pay 100 euros to have all day. On the last day we decovered an infestation of red ants. Generally spent as little time in the hotel as possible.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: - Amazing Breakfast with variety of fresh juices (my booking was not included with breakfast, but 9 Euro is not at all expensive for such a fabulous breakfast. and for child it was free.

- excellent design make a luxury feeling
- Bed and pillow was so comfortable and soft (one of the main component I looked when booking) - so met the expectation
- enough space inside the room (though not a lot)
- helping and smiling staff
Cons: - Though toilet was neat and beautiful, shower area was not properly covered which made the shower water brings out of the designated place and made the entire toilet wet (they could make the proper coverage for the shower area)
- waste bin in the toilet was damaged and had to use hand to open it ( it could be in my room only, unfortunately)
- main door was not properly closing (could be my room issue only, unfortunately)
- Location wasn't great as its far from city center - if you wish to walk daily to the centre or attraction this is not the place. you will have to rely taxi or metro. But if you go to airport, then you save a lot of time (though money is same from wherever you go to airport) as its end of the city.
9.4 Excellent

Cons: The hotel has closed it's entrance that accesses the sidewalk directly and I had to walk in and out of hotel through car tunnel, which felt a bit dicey as the sidewalk in the tunnel is very narrow.

Pros: The location was good.
Cons: The staff at the front desk were not very helpful. Upon reservation I requested a double bed, at check in we were given two single beds, and when asked about it we simply got “that is a preference, it’s not a guarantee”. The room service is also expensive considering the quality of food you receive. Paint chipping off the walls in the bathroom is also not a good thing.

The Hotel Puerta Amrica is a space that invites people to dream. A project that has brought together nineteen of the best architect and designer studios in the world and has the luxury of having three Pritzker Prizes, the Nobel of Architecture (Norman Foster, Zaha Hadid and Jean Nouvel). Each of its 12 floors plays with different materials, colours and shapes to create astonishing spaces for the senses, a sensory experience. In essence, a unique hotel, a museum to sleep.

Pros: Food was ok. Wine was over priced - one of the bottles was available for 7 euros in the local supermarket and 10x that at the hotel bar. Shower was placed over a sloping wall -you have to lean on the wall to get under it. No iron, only a steamer.

Pros: Food was ok. Wine was over priced - one of the bottles was available for 7 euros in the local supermarket and 10x that at the hotel bar. Shower was placed over a sloping wall -you have to lean on the wall to get under it. No iron, only a steamer.
Cons: Long wait to be checked in despite several staff being available. Room was upgraded - it was entirely black, dimly lit and made from a plastic like material (corian). This means that you cannot see in your room without a torch. Hotel is a disaster!
7.0 Good
Pros:
Cons: This is not a 5-star hotel, It is a very tired 4-star hotel at best.
9.7 Excellent
Pros:
Cons: There was a rotted banana in the bin (not ours), but otherwise completely swank hotel!!! Outstanding experience!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and comfortable. Did not like the first room given but was very easy to change.
Cons: Is very far away from Salamanca neighbourhood, and on booking it says that is 5min walking, is at least 30 min and you have to take a cab to get there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the staff! They really went out of there way to make us happy.
Cons: Staff was extremely excellent. They went out of there way to be attentive and courteous. Front desk staff outstanding. Valets were very good also. Bar staff were excellent also.

Pros: It’s a beautiful design and the food is good
Cons: The quality is low I gat a Room whit a guy sleep in the room card stuck all the time the water in the shower go dwon to diffrant room Also thy Clen the room only in the morning if you in the room thy don’t come back later to clean
7.5 Good
Pros: Convenient to the airport. Creative designs throughout make it a very fun environment. Great bar lounge areas.
Cons: Some design element are form over function like the sink in our room splashing all over the mirror. Some elements feel like they are aging a bit. Neither factor deterred us from enjoying our stay.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The design looked nice. But was totally impractical as a hotel room actually.
Cons: Very dirty. Stained carpet throughout. Shower did not function correctly. Marks and damage to walls. Unfriendly reception staff. Impractical room design and very dangerous glass walls and doors which are easy to walk into accidentally.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Modern
Cons: Nothing all seemed correct. The staff service was professional, however lacked a bit of empathy towards a very tired traveller who arrived without sleep for nearly an entire day. Finally I got the room, and I was told that if I inform ahead of time, they would be more accommodating in the future.
4.0 Okay
Pros:
Cons: Far away from the Center of Madrid,Is not really in the Neighborhood that is said to be.
4.6 Okay
Pros: I liked the comfort of the bed, small but nice gym, the size of the room and the view
Cons: Overall the design, corridors and room were way too dark. The tv was too small for the size of the room, no kettle, no welcoming water, no other way to have tea or coffee in the room without paying room service fees. And the worst thing was that the room was very noisy, we could hear everything in our floor, upstairs and outside despite the fact we were on the 11th floor. When we complained about the noise in reception, the receptionist Elena was in my opinion rude and unhelpful, I felt she was doubting my complaint and made no effort to resolve the issue which is not what you normally get when you pay for a 5* hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The decor
Cons: Everything esa fine

Pros: The location was central
Cons: Room had someone staying there not on holiday, the beds we were given were very difficult and painful to climb, I was woken up 3 times in the middle of the night, someone shut the window suffocating me due to lack of fresh air. It was awkward as the room literally opened up to the checkin area. The internet never worked. The lockers wouldn't work with your regular TSA lock, you need a thicker lock. We couldn't stay there, so we left the next day.

Cons: One of the problems for me was about the showers, they don’t have a place to you put your clothes while you take a shower, so you need to walk from the shower room to the bedroom to change your clothes, it’s a little uncomfortable

Pros: The location was great, very central. Great view from the little terrace. Showers had enough hot water and the beds were comfortable.
Cons: I wouldn’t recommend this place for a solo female traveler. There were no seperate showers for women, and women’s dormitories didn’t have a lock on the door, so anyone could just walk in during the night. During the day, male personnel of the hostel came into the female dormitories (after a short knock, but still...). The iron lockers in the rooms are extremely noisy, so you wake up immediately when someone uses their locker. No curtains around the bed, dirty bathrooms.

Several times at night and very early mornings we heard loud , extended noise, as if someone would move the furniture. It is still a mistery where this noise came from, very unlikely that the hotel guests made it. I would be curious to find out.

Pros:
Cons: Room needed to the re painted. Beds not very comfortable. Waited to checkout. Was ignored and another man called before me. Noise in corridor in morning time.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: OK room, good breakfast, standard accommodation for the price. However, NOT WORTH its price, considering the trouble of generating a simple invoice, read more in negative comments.
Cons: 10 days later and I still cannot convince the hotel to send me a correct invoice!!! Internet was down when I checked out (no apologies from hotel for no internet for 24 hours) and I was told the invoice will be emailed. It wasn't. I wrote to the hotel 2 days later, they sent me an incomplete invoice, I emailed back two times in the next few days, they didn't understand my request. 9 days later I called, they were busy and rude, told me they have no time to deal with this on the phone but would not even listen to me - they insisted I should email them (again). I asked to talk to a manager, they refused and hung upon me! I called again, they refused to help me, promised they would only help me over email. 2 days later and I am still waiting. This is all INCREDIBLE, considering I am asking for a simple invoice showing the money I paid! (and all this, not to mention that I was verbally told the upgrade would cost 10 euro a day, but was charged 20 euro a day - I am not even arguing with them about that, I just want an invoice showing a 0 balance so I can submit my business expenses!)
7.5 Good
Pros: Location to the stadium
Cons:
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The reception staff was incredibly professional and welcoming. The bed was unbelievably comfortable and the water pressure/shower setup was better than we usually get in the States let alone in Europe. A very funky and off-the-beaten boutique hotel.
Cons: No complaints.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: I was in room 628 and it was not value for money, extremely small for a double room having to squeeze between the side of the bed and the wall mounted tv to get to the window is unreal. The bed was situation against the wall
9.6 Excellent
Pros: There was a Bar in the Hotel and a lot of restaurants around the hotel. Metro is 5min away by walk
Cons:
5.7 Okay
Pros: Location and central heating.
Cons: Room a bit small, I booked and paid with breakfast but reception said it wasn't included. Getaroom provides a U.S. number to phone...I filled up an online form on Getaroom webpage and never got a reply.
5.0 Okay
Pros: location
Cons: Rooms were too small even by submarine standards. Not great value for money considering room size.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Close to Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, not too far from the night life but far enough to get decent rest.
Cons: Wifi was not the best but it did the job
4.5 Okay
Pros: the cost for my one needed nt
Cons: Breakfast ... it was terrible! No yogurt ... unbelievable.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The bar was great and especially with the live dj
Cons: Price of breakfast is extortionate

Pros: Localization a little
Cons: Bad! They literally kick you out their hostel in checkout time at 11am I did my checkout and 11:10am I asked to keep my bags there, despite they charge for it. I would like to walk around the city and go back there at 6pm to take my bags and go to the airport But then employee Felix was very rude and saying that I couldn't because it was more than 11am and now I should pay the day-rate because was 11:10am or go out He was screaming and out of control, I don't now if he was drunk or what happened, but to avoid troubles I went out I did not complain about it but they say in description that they have kitchen, but there is only a microwave to use and they almost don't have toilet (saw only 1 toilet and 3 places only to take a shower without toilet for all the hostel) And they also are more expansive than other hostels around, bad choice! I just didn't change to other hostel since the beginning because I was with too much bags

Pros: The staffs are very nice and helpful. Good value of money. Location is excellent to Metro.
Cons: The bed sheet is relatively old. Else are okay.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location was in an active area and close to a metro.
Cons: Cleaning lady was aggressive and loud. I was still packing and she got in my space and ripped all my bedding off. Not sure why that couldn't have waited like 5-10 minutes for me to finish up. Also, she was making gross hacking sounds. Additionally, there are lockers in the room and someone's alarm started going off at 4am- but they were out partying so they obviously couldn't turn it off. I asked the head person to unlock the locker just to turn the alarm off but he claimed he didn't have a key.... and also refused to move the lockers... so basically he let the alarm keep going off in our room.

Pros: The location is really great. Very close to the center
Cons: Rooms very very small for 2 people. No hot water for the shower, the bath had mold. I booked saying that I was coming with a kid, we gave us a room with a bed very very small. The mattress are hard like a stone.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: I liked the central location.
Cons: Nothing as expected. Neither of the rooms looks like what they are advertising, the rooms are not really clean, no facilities, not even a soap in the bathroom, the balcony door could not be fully closed, the spate in the bathroom is outrageous, no space to properly use the toilet. And I could continue..
