9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is exceptionally friendly! Really very special.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The menu and chefs are exceptional.
Cons: the bathroom ceiling is very low .. so my husband was touching the ceiling when showering
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Breakfast and bar area was ok
Cons: Shower was dreadful, no water pressure, hotel is very old and dated, drab and dreary decor, only one lift working and on Sunday afternoon the lift broke down with me in it.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The ambiance and landscapes
Cons: Little bathtub needs to be upgraded
6.0 Good
Pros: The food is OK (the Indian food was all great), breakfast was good, the room was big enough and comfortable, I had a good and reasonably priced massage (60 minutes full body for $40). The pool is nice, and the grounds are leafy. Live music in the restaurant was also a nice touch.
Cons: The decor is outdated and a few small things here and there didn't work, e.g. light switches. 1 of the 2 lifts was out of order my whole stay which made things quite slow. The biggest problem is the staff seem confused/ untrained. Service at the bar/ restaurants was never smooth or consistent. Also the lobby/ inside bar smells like cigarettes. Overall, it's in need of a facelift and some staff training in terms of who is doing what I think.

6.5 Good
Pros: The food Ordering food anytime
Cons: Their hospitality the bathroom is poorly constructed water leaks, standing water when showering, the shower is not properly cleaned The maintenance needs improvement what a great place but without proper maintenance it’s going to be a one star hotel Please replace your shower heads and whole shower-they are not five star standard-house keeping needs to do a better job cleaning
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very nice, room was comfortable, executive chefs were very accommodating.
Cons: Location was very convenient, near mulungushi conference center where I was sending a conference, but the area doesn't have a lot going on, only the arcades shopping area.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location was good. Not a good selection of breakfast. Very basic. The fruit salad looked unappetizing and old as well as the watermelon. Cupboards where breakfast was displayed is dirty and old. This place needs a serious upgrade.
Cons: The entire hotel inside needs an upgrade. The furniture is outdated. Bedrooms also need to be updated. Shower tiles were mouldy. There was a smell in the room we stayed. Will never recommend this hotel and will not stay there again . What you advertise on booking.com is not what we got.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good location Very friendly staff Good food Good internet throughout Clean
6.0 Good
Pros: the breakfast was Nothing Special but ordinary and ok.. for the Money they are charging they can offer much better...
Cons: the misinformation spread by the staff. staff was not enough educated About the policies of the hotel, Services apart from the room was extraoridnary over charged
7.7 Good
Pros: Great business traveler option for Lusaka. Probably the best option.
Cons: Check in Staff seems a little uninformed and uninterested. Other staffs like house keeping and doormen are very attentive.
6.0 Good
Pros: The bedroom space and the size of the bed. Reception staff were really friendly and helpful.
Cons: Had valentines dinner at Chuma restaurant. It took 20 mins for someone to bring us menus and arrival drinks, food wasn’t great. It took half an hour to pay the bill due to waiting for a staff member with a card machine and then it eventually breaking. No member of staff apologised or seemed very helpful even after we complained. 3 different couples were seated next to us and they all got up and left halfway through.

10.0 Excellent
Cons: Should work on the friendliness of receptionist.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location worked well for what we were doing. The pool area is lovely...a little oasis in the city. The staff were friendly. The food was good.
Cons: You had to hold the shower nozzel or you would get water all over the floor. The sink was continuously running which is a waste of water. I thought the staff would fix it as the tap probably just needed a new washer put into it. We stayed for four nights and it was like this the entire time. The air conditioner, although it ran, did not kick out much cool air
4.8 Okay
Pros: Friendly and courteous staff.
Cons: The restaurant was full of flies, table cloths were dirty - but the restaurant staff is very courteous and attentive. I wonder how clean the kitchen is and whether flies are sitting on my food before it is served to me. The rooms are full of mosquitoes - I could not sleep on both visits to this hotel. Loyalty points still not credited to my account.
7.0 Good
Pros: The room and the facilities are clean. For those who are 'vegetarian' it is not comfortable and suggestions are made to the manager for improvement.
Cons: Mixing of Non-Veg meat products into Omlette is not appropriate, which was brought to the attention of the manager for improvement.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great customer service from all the staff especially from Margaret who has always been very helpful in assisting us to get used to the office ay things work can't thank her enough!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff good breakfast great pool area
Cons: All was good except for house keeping which was unreliable as to when room was serviced, towels delivery and cleaning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: After touring Zambia and staying in village Motels with missing toilet lights and cockroaches on your pillow etc, I cant say how great is was to have my last night in the Grand Hotel. This is a wonderful place to stay. Room and bed superb. Food excellent. Facilities very good. Pool colder than expected !
Cons: Could have a coffee in the reception bar, and cold drinks by the pool, but wasn't allowed to take a cuppa to the poolside, a few yards away. Everything else was brill, but this seemed a little petty.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Service with a pick up from the airport was great. Location is perfect.

Cons: Nothing - all was good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked everything
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable and quiet place. Pleasant and helpful staff. Close to a large shopping mall with restaurants and supermarket. Near a location to take a minibus/shared taxi. Comfortable bedding.
Cons: The water in the pools didn't look as though the chlorine was balanced correctly, so I didn't swim in them.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Such a lovely backpacker to stay at. I extended my stay by another night due to change in travel plans and I did not regret it. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the garden was very well kept and peaceful. Enough seating for everyone and invites opportunity to meet other solo backpackers staying there. Suited more to a mature backpacker who appreciates calm, quiet spaces (no loud music from the bar keeping you up). The room had everything I needed, was comfortable and clean. It is also within about 2km walking distance to the nearest mall and as a solo female traveler I felt safe along the route. This accomodation rose above the rest, compared to the many other backpackers I have stayed in around the world. Will definitely stay there again when in Lusaka.
Cons: I had some trouble getting a hot shower in the communal bathrooms, but the weather was warm and humid so I did not complain about it. Had it been addressed with management I have no doubt that they would have attended to it. Its possible I just wasn't using the taps properly... or patiently enough.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: good value, clean and comfortable property, food and drinks available
Cons: shared kitchen could be much cleaner!
7.0 Good
Pros: The room was late and clean. The bed was comfortable. There was an excellent fan and no mosquitos. The room was quiet with just typical Lusaka city noise. We would stay here again.
Cons: We asked the front desk for an earlier breakfast on our day of departure but we were told it wasn’t possible. (They don’t start serving breakfast until 7:30.) the next morning as we were checking out and two other people were placing orders for breakfast. I asked why they were able to get breakfast and we were not. They said they had made prior arrangements. I explained that we had also asked but were told it was possible. Ultimately they agreed to serve us breakfast. We were not all that early - 7 instead of 7:30 - the same as the other two guests. When they brought out the omelette my husband only received 1/2 of the omelette when the previous morning it was a full omelette. The bread was also not toasted when it had been the previous morning.

Pros: Great service and very friendly staff
5.0 Okay
Pros: The bed was big and comfy
Cons: That they were busy with renovations in the room next door. Banging a wall out. Upon me complaining, i was told a letter in the room explaining phase for each floor. Firstly the letter was not there when i checked in and only appeared after i complained. Also i would think that they should inform you before confirming booking and taking payment that there would be noise interuptions during day due to upgrade. Wasnt pleasant at all and i would think inconsiderate. Also the pool is rediculously small. They didnt have after hours room service either.
8.0 Excellent

Cons: Breakfast not ok
6.7 Good
Pros: Friendly staff; Quiet Location
Cons: Limited Breakfast Options; No Drinking Water in the rooms
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: On pictures it's beautiful, but in real life, it's dirty and stinky. Cockroaches are at the restaurant and in the room. While I was eating in the evening 4 different people came to ask if I was OK, while I was chewing. That's too much of "politeness" The pool is dirty. Impossible to swim or even to sit close. Plus, they confirmed transfer from the airport but NOBODY ARRIVED!
5.0 Okay
Pros: Good location. Nice gardens.
Cons: The internet was often off, or slow. Water was not available on several occasions.

Pros: The restaurant was very nice with polite and professional service. Food for dinner was good.
Cons: The room was clean, but very old and desperately in need of reconstruction. The AC didn't work. The breakfast was kind of odd, didn't quite understand the concept is it a'lacarte or buffee, something inbetween... The fitness centre is rather small with no AC and the machines didn't work.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The relaxing atmosphere and food was great
Cons: The game drive could have been a little longer, an hour simply isn't long enough to find the animals in such a large area
7.9 Good
Pros: We could make our own Wales around the reserve seeing kudu’s, giraffes and what have you. The visit to the elephant nursery was lovely.
Cons: Service was good and attentie. Music was loud in the evenings, But was tuned down at our request.
6.3 Good
Pros: The food was excellent, rooms and pool also very nice. Restaurant staff were also excellent and very attentive.
Cons: Nothing particularly wrong we just didn’t think it was worth £300 a night. Since you are quite isolated on the game reserve there should be more food options (a poolside bar with food as well as the restaurant, which only sold fancy full meals) It’s not really set up for staying more than a night as you don’t really want gourmet food for lunch and dinner every day. Also, wasn’t impressed that we asked to use shower after our swim (we had checked out earlier that morning) and we were just told we couldn’t have one. Most places (especially luxury ones) offer their guests a poolside shower.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very peaceful
Cons: For the rate it’s going at, the room with regards to look and feel did not meet my expectations and it was not cleaned to a crisp, dust on the headboard and tub.

Cons: Improve on the food variety. Gets boring after 3 days...

Cons: Slow service at times. Small stain on bedding. The insects.

6.5 Good
Pros: The food Ordering food anytime
