I met some pro for cash withdrawal and they were so patient and helpped me out.
Everything is great
the staff were excellent especially Abdou and the Manager a very nice lady also Mirriam. The Manager arranged an excellent guide through the amazing Medina he was extremely knowledgeable born in Fez. learnt so much about the city and its people
Be aware of men wanting money for directions (even when you tip them they say it is not enough!!) Do not accept help getting taxis when getting off the bus. Do it yourself. Walking around Fez as a mature woman is often frustrating as they see you as a "walking dollar note". Tour Guides will also recommend very touristy restaurants do it all on your own but you do need a guide in the medina or an app.
The Riad is good located, just a little bit outside of the Medina. Which is great to relax after a day in the vivid Medina. Also the rooftop is nice to relax and enjoy the sun.
Staff at the hotel were very helpful and very efficient in dealing with requests such as taxis and arranging trips The hotel was very clean
Breakfasts were nice but not as good as other places (in similar price brackets) where we've stayed in Morocco: fr example, the breakfasts didn't normally include fruit and it would have been nice to leave the coffee pot with us on the table. The towels were not absorbent and rather old and thin. The style of the Riad is a little bit formal.
The Riad is beautiful and our rooms looked very nice. Both, Nadia and Miriam are very friendly and try to help guests have an enjoyable stay. The breakfast is nicely presented and tasty.
Compared to other Riads we stayed in, yours has no spirit. The assistant manager from Senegal has no personality. He is polite, but has no guest-focus. He will answer questions , but not help guests proactively. We arranged our own transfer to Casablanca, because he had quoted a price of 3000 Mad, which we thought was expensive. We found another source that offered the same for 1700 Mad. Somehow, he must have seen us make the deal, because later he approached the car owner and asked for his commission, which was refused. The towels definitely need replacing, we would hardly use them as rags. Our bathroom tile floor was filthy.
