Did my reservations online to avoid a timely transaction, got there and was told my reservation was done incorrectly, which it wasn’t. Asked me to l my existing reservation and then proceeded to want to charge me double the amount.Reviewed 4 Oct 2021

Pros:Car was clean.Cons:Rental car given to us with an empty tank of gas. The rental car agency forced us to buy an insurance plan when our travel credit card included rental insurance in Mexico. The insurance cost twice as much as the rental car itself.Reviewed 2 Jun 2021

Pros:NothingCons:They false advertise. They had quoted me $118 for the whole week. When I arrived, they want to force you to take their “protection”. The rate went from $118 to over $500 It is a scam. There was another foreign customer there that was facing the same issue, These company is dishonest and want to take advantage of their customers. Cons:It took a while to convince the overzealous agent to accept my credit card's CDW. He would just not acquiesce that Mexico City is indeed covered under worldwide CDW. Dropping off was quite hard to find where exactly to drive at the airport because there are no signs anywhere. The car could've had an electronic lock.Reviewed 25 Nov 2019

Cons:I was under the impression that the insurance I purchased would cover the car, however when at the Europcar counter they told me that my insurance did not cover anything and they did not accept it. I had to pay 3 times the price listed online and wasted $40 pre-purchasing insurance.Reviewed 3 Jan 2018

Worst mistake of my tripPros:Never having to deal with europcar ever again againCons:I was given a car with damaged wheels that I then had to pay for after I got a flat tire of 5 miles of driving. They claimed I damaged the rims and requested pictures to prove otherwise. Who has ever taken apart the car wheels when renting a car to photograph a rim. I would rather break my foot with a hammer and walk on broken glass for miles than ever do car rentals with Europcar ever again. This was simply a scam.Reviewed 1 Jan 2018

Reservation, but no car availableCons:The europcar office in mexico City Reforma 208 was supposed to be open at 9, the guy arrived at 10. Calling the help desk four times as twice not answered, at 9.15 they said the person would arrive in 10 minute. No further answers as the guy did not arrive in 10 minutes. Once he arrived he was surprised that there is a reservation, anyway he said there is no car.Reviewed 24 Oct 2016
