Cons: Despite my reservation, the car was not available at the time requested. I was asked to go back 2 hours later but the car was still not available. I was asked to return the following day, but nothing changed. I rented a car directly with another provider at a much higher price. Furthermore I had to pay the hotel night that was not planned.

Cons: I got a price online for my rented car in Mexico, but when I arrived to pike the car the price was increased about 200%.... was an horrible experience!... I rented the car because I didn't have an option (I arrived at midnight with my 6 years son)...the car was instead $200 $650!!!!.... plus the car was old with mechanical problems!...

Pros: Decent customer service. No hardsale on the insurance.
Cons: Cars need maintenance, repair, reconditioning. Rented a Jetta, wipers didn't work, breaks were worn, and only 1 speaker worked. Went back to switch it out- had to pay for an upgrade- was given an avengers and center console was broken and ac/heat didn't work.

Pros: Service was really good. CS was very helpful and courteous.
Cons: Had two incidents with car brakes. Was unable to stop the car twice. There was and issue with the speedometer too.

Horrible Customer service
Pros: Absolutely nothing very disappointed at this Company
Cons: From start when we arrived at their office there was no one there we had to wait about 20 mins for someone to show up then the lady I formed us they didn't have the car category we reserved and either automatic only a smaller car and stick, they told us nothing they could do about it and even told us if we didn't like we could go somewhere else.
Very poor options of insurance either a premium or a less premium option they still ran about 250 dls for 4 days both.
Car was I'm very poor condition, dirty in the inside and out side specially the inside, half a tank of gas gas provided, brakes didn't work well, made funny noises every time we stopped, AC wasn't working.
Very poor experience in general won't ever rent a car here

Pros: I was told by a couple of different people that they didn't have the car I was looking for because they had rented it out to someone else even though I had rented it online weeks before. I was then told that online reservations don't really mean anything for international rentals. When I tried to work with them to ensure that I was going to get the 12 passenger van that I had rented I had to beg and go back and forth with them. I was threatened and told that I wouldn't get the car I wanted if I didn't get there at a certain time (way before my original reservation). I was finally told that they would make an exception and make sure I got my car when I arrived. When I arrived, since there was a different desk worker I had to go through the same thing over again, telling me that they didn't have anymore available. I felt that they were being dishonest and played me, they also ended up charging me more than the original cost online.

Pros: Instead of 25 I paid 155, smaller car, 6/9 fuel tank (how can you fill it with such precision is just another smart shamming way to get more money and see your face)
Cons: Roof Rack is breaking in piece while driving.
Rear side panel pops out because not properly installed.
Plastic trim in vehicle breaking.
Lots of noises in vehicle.
National needs to perform complete inspection before car is rented and validate that is safe to rent.

Our confirmation was not accepted
Pros: I liked how easy it was to book.
Cons: Even though we had a confirmation number for our reservation that National Car rental branch we reserved it at didn't have it in their system and wouldn't honor our reservation. They first told us that had no cars for us. This was after we checkout of our hotel and had a taxi drop us off at the rental site expecting to get in our car. Later they told us they could get us a VW Passat but it was going to be 4x the price we booked so we said no thank you. It was very frustrating. When you receive a confirmation for a reservation you expect them to honor it. I will not be using this service again.

Staff was great, car was clean, price was not what
Pros: Car was good, staff was helpful, place was clean.
Cons: Price rented from National, which wasn't my cheapest option but i chose it based on reliability and expectation that it didn't have "hidden fees", was not what i ended up paying by a longshot.
The car was $7/day and I expected tax and such to raise it up to $10 per day. I ended up paying $177 vs the $50 i was expecting to.
Mandatory 3rd party insurance and other fees, i truly don't understand how the price tripled and more!

Pros: We arrived a few hours late and our reservation was not held. We were offered to rebook a new reservation at 10x the price. This is a total scam to get customers to the counter and then take advantage of them. I will never rent with National again in the US, Mexico or anywhere else.

Rip Off!!! Use another car rental company
Pros: The vehicle was clean.
Cons: I had to purchase insurance even though I explain that my credit card covered rental cars. I ended up paying an extra $400 dollars on a insurance I didn't need. Also, on the day of the return the shuttle drop me off on gate # 7 and I had to walk to gate # 9(pretty far walk) becuase the driver claim the vehicle was to tall and wouldn't clear the overpass.

Pros: Nothing to like here! Awful.
Cons: I had a confirmed reservation for the class of cars not even available at this location. I understand that the exact car model is not guaranteed, but if I reserve a car for 8 people weeks in advance of my arrival, then I expect to get a car model that can actually fit our entire party with all the luggage, as opposed to being offered a smaller car "at a better price". I literally had to scramble last minute, with my entire family waiting in the arrival hall of the airport and me walking from an agency to agency until I found one that has the car that can fit us all. NO, this is simply not acceptable, not for a reputable rental place and with a confirmed reservation!

Mini Van not available
Cons: Very poor service from the initial phone call. They said they can't guarantee the availability of cars. What's the point then of reserving? I had to choose another rental company.
Cons: The employees were mostly rude except for one girl but they did not offer solutions until I said I was going to call PROFECO, the mexican consumer protection services agency. They said that they had no connection to kayak whatsoever.

Terrible experience in Mexico City
Pros: Car was ok - clean, though the back suspensions were already damaged and not the model type we had requested through priceline (one level down)
Cons: No respect for the reservation, and the quoted price. Staff looked like they hated working in that office, and was less than friendly. Unfortunately, we were in a hurry to leave, and renting the car took 1.5h, so battled a bit, but could not get through. Here are some details.
1. They could not find the reservation.
2. Once we had a payless customer rep on the phone, they said they would honor the price of the reservation but did not.
3. Bottomline - rental price / day was multiplied by 4; we had to pay for the full insurance that supposedly is compulsory in Mexico City (which is not true after verifying). I came out to 270$ for a 4 day rental instead of the $20 quoted by priceline.
4. We returned the car half a day earlier, and did not get any appreciation or discount. Also had to go through a 10 min inspection (which thankfully did not lead to any extra charges), though it would not have mattered since they made us pay the full insurance.
This experience was terrible. Hard to say whether it was Payless or just this office. However, this was bad enough for me not to ever want to be a Payless customer. I would also recommend that Payless takes a close look at this Mexico Juarez office.

Do not use Payless in Mexico City!!!
Cons: The rate we had confirmed by Kayak was in another universe to what they charged when we arrived. They also said they did not have a record of our booking or a car...although they later found one. Full insurance (although if you have an accident it is not full insurance) is required. My understanding is they were at the airport but they were half hour taxi ride away.

Held hostage by Car Rental agency
Pros: Holiday travel: After waiting 3 hours for my car I finally got to the Dollar Rental agency and was told I had to buy their additional insurance package that multiplied my rental cost by 3. I told the agent I would only prefer the minimal liability that was included in the original offer because I had my own additional coverage from home. He said that was not an option and I had to buy his package. With precious vacation time running out and limited availability from other rental companies I was in no position to consider any other car. So I paid the ransom and drove away completely frustrated.
Cons: Hertz staff are quite unprofessional, disrespectful and uninformed. Besides charging me almost twice as much due to out-of-the-blue fees (including "hotel fees," and a supposed sales tax of 64%, which was further taxed at the end), when I requested to talk with the manager, the sales person said he was needed at some other location, which was evidently false as I could confirm when I said I could wait. The manager refused to talk with us, notwithstanding the fact that he was there the whole time. By the time we left having paid an excess of 40 dollars, the office was crowded with upset customers who Hertz staff were ignoring.

Pros: The return went pretty well and shuttle left on time.
Cons: They reserve it as one price and then they never have the car and then charged us more money for a far smaller car than what we reserved for. They wouldn't allow us to waive the insurance even though I had a printed letter from my insurance and I agreed to a large deposit.
I'll never rent here again.

Would not honor rental cost - poor service
Cons: We arrived within the 2 hour pickup window clearly stated on the customer rental agreement. However, both the sales rep (and the manager) would not recognize our rate and were pushing us to pay $240 more for the 1 day rental. When we refused, they started bargaining - reducing it to $120 USD, then $85 as their "final offer." As a global brand, we expected Hertz to maintain it's quality - no matter its location. We were hoping to avoid such bad experiences like this by going with your company. We ended up just canceling the car for the day -- missing all the activities we already planned and booked for the day (losing that money and our valuable vacation time).
Pros: They were friendly, efficient and helpful. Communiation was never an issue.
Cons: We should have taken note of the address to drop the vehicle off. I assumed that the address would be written somewhere on the paperwork and it was a pretty big stress relocating the office after ten days of travel. Mexico City can be pretty stressful to navigate, especially if you have a flight to catch.

Price not what I expected. Did not have car I rese
Cons: They wanted to charge a higher price because I did not want to purchase their insurance and also charge a civil responsibility fee which made the cost of the car $200 more than what I reserved it for. On top of that they did not have the type of car I requested. They wanted to give me something smaller and claimed that the trunk space would be the same which would it clearly not.
Cons: The cancelled my reservation without any previous notification and they let me know when I was there to pick up the car. The person who I spoke with said she had no idea why? There was not even an apology. Worst service ever!

Cons: They did not have a car that could be dropped off in that location, but no one let us know until we arrived. Terrible experience.
Cons: The europcar office in mexico City Reforma 208 was supposed to be open at 9, the guy arrived at 10. Calling the help desk four times as twice not answered, at 9.15 they said the person would arrive in 10 minute. No further answers as the guy did not arrive in 10 minutes. Once he arrived he was surprised that there is a reservation, anyway he said there is no car.

Pros: It was mostly a pretty easy experience.
Cons: Cost more than expected and advertised. Kayak did not have the relevant insurance information available at the time of booking, which is the cause for the inflated price in person.
Cons: They gave me the car with almost no fuel, had to wait an hour and a half just to get the car when there was only 1 other family in front of the line, and when someone crashed into me on the road they didn't pick up the phone to call the insurance that covered the car. Never renting from here again.
