Pros: location is really convenient, close to many nice restaurants in the downtown area. near a bus stop, so it only took 15 minutes to get to the hotel zone. staff is friendly, and they have people stationed at the hotel 24/7 which makes it really safe! the rooms are very clean and spacious. overall, it is a really good value. we would stay there again next time we visit!
Cons: they did have a small kitchen area in the room with a fridge, but there was no microwave.

Excellent downtown location: public transport/bus stop 50 yards from entrance. Mall 2 blocks (5min walking) away. Supermarket, pharmacy & restaurants all close-by (walking distance). Complimentary DVD's to choose from to watch if you'd like. SMOKE FREE. Thank goodness. Booking via Kayak saved me 50% off the price you'd pay if you reserved at the front desk. Not kidding. There is nothing I didn't like about this hotel for this price point, and I have rather high expectations. Comparable to a 3.5 to 4 star hotel in the USA.

Pros: The hotel was great and the staff was nice. Each room had its own WiFi. There was a living room area, along with a large bedroom and bathroom. Everything was updated and was nicer than the hotel we stayed in for 180.00 per night on the beach.
Cons: The only complaint We have regarding this hotel was the smell of our room. We aren't sure if it's the cleaning supies or what but it was pretty horrible. If you can get past the smell though the hotel is great to stay in.

Pros: Everything was excellent. The room was comfortable and clean. We had a wifi hotspot outside room, so very fast connection. We had plenty of hot water and water pressure. The hotel food was great and really good restaurants were within walking distance. The pool area was private and comfy. There is a casino right next door.
Cons: It was far from the airport and beaches. Call the hotel to arrange a taxi to the airport, only $20. We took the airport shuttle, 40 min wait and $40.

Pros: The food was average, I guess because I'm a native and I know traditional mexican food. The staff was AMAZING!! great service. And the beach, wow. The overall vibe was fun, but people there average in they're 40s which was a downer for me, i was lol long for a younger, sexier crowd.
Cons: Guest age average 40-50s. Not so hot looking. Young crowd seekers need to go elsewhere. The hotel itself is OUTDATED. All the pools are COLD. Bad pluming, small rooms, ocean view was really a tiny liltte gap of blue in the corner of our window.

Pros: We love this resort and returned for our 6th time. The resort is full of friendly outgoing people looking to have a great time. As a friend says, "I went to Cuba and sat on loungers beside same couple for a week without exchanging words" That will never happen at TTR. Join Cancuncare.com and meet many before you arrive. Hands down the most fun resort out there.
Cons: For the first time the crowd was younger than normal. Much higher percentage of under 30 crowd this visit. If this trend continues we wont be happy. We like to party with adults not children.

Pros: The staff like most Mexican were extremely nice and helpful. Every part of the hotel that I saw was very clean. The room was spacious and the bathroom was well portioned. I especially like the feature that the room key activated the room lights and once removed would stay on for only 5 mins. Check in and check out was a breeze and it was practically a straight line to the airport. Easy location to get to and from. Muchos gracias!

Pros: Bed and room were comfortable. The TV channels catered to both Spanish and English speaking patrons. The pool area is amazing for an urban setting- really nice and large! Breakfast was good and staff great. Enclosed and guarded parking - it made my stay worry free:).

Cons: My girlfriend was sick. I called room service for breakfast. (Breakfast was not included and I was paying for it) They told me that they are busy and we must come downstairs. I went downstairs in the their restaurant. They told me that I can not take food to the room. My girlfriend must come downstairs to eat. I explained but they told me that this is their "hotel policy" and they can not do anything. I walked to a nearby restaurant and got the food. I travel all over the world on a regular basis and never heard such policy in a any hotel!

Pros: Can’t speak for all rooms of course but room 508 could certainly need a makeover. Balcony door didn’t close properly, lighting wasn’t sufficient and the bathroom looked somewhat dated. However, the hotel as such is nice, great pool area, good coffee shop, nice staff. It’s not directly in the centre but walkable
Cons: The hotel offers free shuttle service to two partner hotels at the beach. They charge you 600 pesos for a day pass for these all in resorts but that’s not worth it. (Plus it’s a ridiculously bureaucratic procedure to get there and in) The beach was great, but the food was lousy and the service poor. Had the feeling they intentionally slow down the service to serve less. In any case, better option is to go to a public beach in my opinion

Pros: The pictures were accurate the hotel is Right on the beach. My room was clean with a kitchen and w nice view of the beach and pool. I liked that the only people staying here were Mexican families on Holiday and other Islanders. I like small beach front hotels and that's what I got. Close to down town Cancun. There is a restaurant to the hotel right over the water.

Pros: The staff is so friendly . Bartenders really made you feel at home and always keeping your drinks filled . Cleaning staff worked hard at keeping my room clean and always fresh towels . Food staff cleaned your tables off promptly and got you refills . Breakfast was my favorite meal as I am vegetarian. Plenty of fruits and salads thru out the day . Before lunch and dinner hamburgers , hot dogs and French fries were always being enjoyed at the bar . Pool was always clean and lots of fun

Pros: The hotel is more of a locals hotel. Not much English spoken amongst staff or patrons which gave more of an authentic feel. The restaurant is on the beach over the water. Everything is close with no need to walk far for anything. Good air conditioning in the room with large rooms.
Cons: Nothing within walking distance outside hotel. Beds are hard and the rooms are old and outdated. The pool is heavily chlorinated to the point you don't want to go under water at all. Food was just ok. Not great but worked.

Pros: Went to Cancun for a wedding and needed an affordable hotel with standard amenities. Staff was friendly, rooms were nicely renovated, everything seemed very clean, pool and beach facilities were very nice and the main restaurant, Albatros, was pretty good.
Cons: Tried upgrading us to all inclusive when we checked in. Our flight changed to an earlier time days before so we got there at 11:30AM and they couldn't get us a room any earlier than 3pm when most hotels can. Tried selling us time shares and a raffle for a cheap bottle of wine, hidious pink towel and a cheap looking beach bag. They made you wear a black wrist band if you didnt buy the all inclusive package which made you feel "black listed". One of the cleaning ladies put someone elses clothes in our room. Nothing horrible just no wow factor.

Pros: The staff was very accommodating. The food was surprisingly good and fresh for a buffet. The sit down restaurant had a great selection and comfortable setting. The hotel throughout had marble floors and tasteful, fun decor. It is somewhat luxurious without being pretentious or intimidating.
Cons: The drinks at the bar seemed weak and there is no service to the beach bungalows or poolside. I had a vision if fancy drinks with umbrellas and fresh fruit, but instead a plastic cup and waiting in line.
