Pros: The room was really nice and comfortable, very beautiful. The staff was extremely helpful and patient

Pros: Three adults, including myself, stayed here a day before and after a cruise. The hotel was a great price and offered three single beds and a very large bathroom. Being from the U.S. with limited public transportation where I live, I did not realize that the tram is different than the train. We thought we could take the tram to and from the airport and port, but you need to take a taxi, so that was a little disappointing. The tram is an excellent way to get downtown, though. You pay right on the tram, 7.50 Euros for 24 hours. The staff was extremely helpful in giving directions regarding navigating the city and helping answer a variety of questions. They even ordered taxi pick up for us.

Pros: Both close to the airport & to town. Right next to the gas station (if you are not wanting "hotel food" and prices) and are willing to have both sandwiches, rather than "meals". Be warned- the warm sandwiches stop in the early afternoon (around 1400).

Pros: The location is very good, very close to the airport and good shuttle service. Very good bar and restaurant with excellent food and good selection of drinks. Nice, comfortable rooms. Close to great walking, cycling, horse riding trails next to a lake. Did not try the local transport to the city centre, but hotel seems to be very close to main transport routes.

Pros: It was clean and less noisy than in other hotels in the area. Area is another 'bonus' thing. Buses 64 and 69 in minutes will get you to Sloterdijk train station from which you can get to the Schiphol airport in 10 mins and it's easy to get to other cities as well from Sloterdijk. Downtown you can get by tram 7 or 14 or by bus 21. So this whole Slotermeelan area is awesome.

Pros: The location of this hotel was good because it was a very quiet location near a beautiful lake with good and easy transport to city center and central train station with excellent breakfast that was free.

Pros: Although this hotel is outside of the main part of town, and there isn't much to explore in the immediate neighborhood, the location is a 5 minute walk to the tram (#2) that will take you directly into the city—all the way to Amsterdam Centraal. Nice garden area in the front for smoking. Nice new bathroom. Comfortable mattress.

Pros: The staff are nice. The rooms are of reasonable size and include all the standard utilities one would expect. It is in a nice location, near public transport connections to town, although quite a long walk to the centre of the city (which is nice coz we love a good walk).

Pros: We stay at this hotel in order to participate at the Amsterdam Marathon, the hotel was fairly close to transportation to the stadium or to the city centre. Hotel stuff was nice

Pros: Cheap parking (6euro/24hrs) in gated lot. Easy to find from motorway. 5-7 minute walk to tram, or 20-30 minute walk through pleasant park to the area around the Rijksmuseum. Good option if you are driving and need a place to park the car, and don't need to stay in town center.
