Amsterdam hotels near Tropenmuseum

Cons: Honestly nothing.

Cons: There was construction going on during our stay right above our room. We were woken up every morning.

Cons: 1. Heating was a major problem. 2. Parking is a nightmare. 3. Shower hot water not as hot as it should be. 4. Complimentary coffee in the lobby area is absent, though one can pay EUR 2-2.50 for a cup. Should be gratis. Once this is attended to, this will be able to achieve deserved greatness.

Cons: Air condition is not working in the room. Business rooms are in another building across the street. Rooms are small and not too comfortable. Parking costs 55 euros per day The room is expensive comparing to any other such an hotel in Europe. I was expecting much more...

Cons: My room was in a construction zone accessible only by stairs!! And construction resumed right outside in the morning. They shouldn't put people there, or should start construction later in the day. I also found it a little odd that there would be no usb jack in a business suite.

Cons: ALL GOOD!

Cons: Uncomfortable beds, antique hair dryers, slow and slight erratic elevators, long lines in reception, slow and error-prone room service

Cons: Public areas - eg corridors did not seem to be air conditioned and were hot

Cons: -Room was not what was on the website -Staff double charged me and sought to charge me a city tax on an erroneous charge -Wi-Fi was rarely working

Cons: Broken elevator, tiny room, shower was awkward, hot water broke, bathroom door was a shower door

Cons: The staff spoke to you like you like you are stupid essp the guy working as a concierge. The bathroom was extremely small with dirty walls and black stainscreen in the wall lining. The roomovers looked nothing like the pictures.

Cons: Apollo was definitely on the more expensive side, payed for an extra bed and outlet converter

Cons: The location of our room was far from the lobby and hotel entrance and we had to go up some stairs then down a full flight of stairs just to get to our room - there’s no elevator access to our room. We had very heavy bags and it was a pain getting to our room and leaving. Shower in the bathroom has no door and floods the bathroom every time you shower.

Cons: Room was not prepared by the maid with the customer in mind. Nothing was replenished by maid. Room needed to be cleaned up much better, prior to arrival.

Cons: The room we got was not what we reserved.

Cons: We didn’t really get a whole of info on check-in about where things were in the hotel or the cleaning service policy. The bed wasn’t a queen but rather two smaller mattresses put together, which wasn’t very comfortable. For the price, nothing was included, like breakfast or real coffee. I will definitely do an Air BnB next time. This was the only hotel I used in a 5 country vacation of Europe and renting an entire apartment from Air BnB would have been cheaper and I would have had a kitchen.

Cons: I would have preferred to be closer to city centre.

Cons: Currently undergoing renovations but still a nice place to stay. Heard no noise in my room from the work going on.

Cons: - Airport shuttle - publicized on the web description. However the shuttles are far and few only a few times in a day. I picked the hotel for the shuttle... and ended up waiting a long while for the shuttle timing. We could not use the shuttle for our morning flight at 10 am, coz the shuttles only started after 7:30 am. I wish they allowed some flexibiity or at least had the shuttles available on a need basis. - Mr Moriba at the reception was inside leaving the reception unattended at the time of our checkout - we had to get a cab and rush to the airport and ended up waiting for him for 10 mins, had someone at the restaurant go in and look for someone. He was not even apologetic about it. It is not OK to leave the reception unattended. - Mr Moriba charged me some 4 euro in taxes, then said it was autocharged to my credit card, returned the cash.... overall he did not know what he was doing and added to a lot of delay. - Our last night of stay was at the basement - not very comfortable...with only the staff elevator access. The bath did not have a tub, and the water in the flooring overflowed to the entire flooring. Overall, we got an unfair deal with the basement room - it is not ok to charge the same price and give the basement room just coz the rooms are full. This is not what we had asked/ signed up for.

Cons: Cocktalis options in the lobby bar would be nice to have.
