7.9 Good
Pros: The food and pool and the people who worked there where very good
Cons: There was no activities. No beach to swim. I thought it would be different for that much money
7.9 Good
Pros: The location is great, the views amazing. The place is nicely decorated and comfortable. The bedsheets and towels looks old. But the place is beautiful.
Cons: The Service is good, but as soon as we arrived the concierge tried to upgrade our villa, we felt the pressure to the point that we decide to get the upgrade. We felt uncomfortable saying No; after that they took us to a villa and when they opened the door the smell was terrible! So they decide to move us to another one. We went to the restaurant and ordered an octopus that was not edible at all. It was like a rubber band, my daughters were hungry so we decide to order just an appetizer to get it fast, immediately the waitress ask is we want 2 appetizers instead of 1. You constantly feel the staff trying to increase the bill. The appetizers were good, However price does not match the quality, food is marginally good and staff seems to be always pressing to increase the ticket to the point where it’s uncomfortable. It’s sad to leave from a place as beautiful as acapulco and that really needs tourism to visit with a bad taste... I will not return to this hotel. The property is beautiful but the way the staff managed it, for me is not the best.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything but to name a few: The staff were lovely, attentive, knowledgeable and friendly people that never said no to whatever you ask. They make the hotel have such a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The room was incredible. With the press of a few buttons you have the most amazing views from your bed. The room service is really tasty and they set it up like you are at a restaurant. The Caesar salad was the best along with the paella. The buggy service is lovely. They are always ready to take you around the hotel and the ride is great with the views. The communal pool area and breakfast area has an incredible view. The level of service at both these areas makes you not want to leave the hotel in the day. The minute you sit down on a lounger, the staff have put down an ice bucket with waters in. Through out the day they brought us little things like homemade lollies and told us about the area. The buffet breakfast is really good. The variety and quality of it was perfect. The food is incredibly clean and delicious. They change the buffet day to day so you are able to try lots of local foods as well as an expansive international spread. There are lots of details that this hotel gets right. Some of these are; the turn down at night with the little cookies or macaroons left by your bed, the incense burner and candle in the room ready to light, the vanity box in the bathroom that has everything you can imagine. This hotel is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in.
Cons: The hotel is perfect! I would have liked to swim in the sea though. There is a restaurant by it and you can walk down to it but a jetty would be great. The Thai restaurant was nice but the Restaurant by the water (Roka?) was not as good food wise and really expensive for what the dishes were. Much preferred the atmosphere of the top communal pool and the lounge area menu.

Pros: Staff was helpful with nearby restaurants and access to car rental.
Cons: I had an accident in the room. There was a loose marble piece that when I stepped on it, it broke. I scrapped the back of my leg and my big toe was bleeding. The staff assisted with providing first aid supplies. However, the staff never again asked if I was okay or needed any additional medical assistance with my injury. Management staff never reached out to me to ask about the incident or ask if I was okay or if I was safe.

Pros: Excellent facilities and service highly recommend this hotel
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The food, the personal experience and kindness. The cleansing was above expected. Everything is breathtaking.
Cons: The bed was uncomfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, cleanliness and minimalist concept
Cons: We spent a lot of time during breakfast and dinner because their service is too slow, also considering that they do not have the buffet option for breakfast. In addition, the quality of the TV was not really good and aligned with the quality image of the hotel.

Pros: I received a courtesy meal, because my room wasn’t ready when I arrived
Cons: The hotel’s beach is very little, and the hotel has a public beach besides, which cause that the beach is crowd and noisy. Also, a part of the swimming pool was on reparations. And if you want a comfortable beach bed, you need to pay for.

Pros: The hotel counts with a great view at the sunset bar
Cons: They could improve the food menu. The hotel used to have rules of silence between the casitas, this time we could hear the music and shouts from other guests.

Cons: Bad hotel
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Rooms and staff are great. The hotel is old but very well maintained and renovated.
Cons: Food could be better
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Morning with a spectacular view of the bay of Acapulco, taking breakfast on an amazing terrace, the super friendly staff that wants you to feel at home. Great spacious room with good facilities. Food and restaurants are good too. Simply one of the best hotel i have ever been. The fact of having a private pool is one of the greatest thing you can enjoy in your life.
Cons: Personally nothing, the only bad point is that if you would like to go to Acapulco you have to take the car or a cab.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Good views. Good travel agency on the spot (they don't belong to the hotel).
Cons: Waiting for check-in was more than 30 min. I upgraded my room for 70 US$ per night and for a total per night of just under 300 US$, the casita was not really up to my expectations: furniture is tired, especially the terrace, it looks old. The service is super slow. Once, I wanted to order room service and before I could mention my order, I've been told that it would take 1.5 hours. Another night, I managed to get room service, but they didn't not accept my signature and I had to pay cash. Luckily I had it. Why didn't they tell me at the check-in that I had to open some sort of account? They have their own pools but you'll depend on a shuttle bringing you back and forth. Once there, it was very crowded and all chairs were occupied. Also, there is no access to a sandy beach. Room cleaning was inconveniently at 5 PM when you're supposed to be back from the beach or the city. Just because they're "too busy". Obviously they don't have enough staff to take care of this HUGE property. It is very annoying that you have to wait for a car to bring you to your room. At the sunset bar, the staff is a bit abrupt. All in all, I don't recommend this place as you feel very isolated from the city and the beaches and the service is bad. Better stay where most if the hotels are, directly at beach in the bay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous view. Amazing access to the coastline and snorkeling. Our room was very spacious, vintage cool, well-appointed, and the value was absolutely fantastic. So much better than a generic all-inclusive resort!!!!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Best views of the coast and superb swimming pool. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be returning.
Cons: Due to the location there is night club noise which goes into the early morning hours. Nothing else.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What's not to like.?

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was amazing, the main building, the pools, the beach even the cost of the beach club
Cons: The snacks and the price of them 185 mexixan pesos for a hot dog ?? That's like 10 usd and it does not worth it
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, the beach front.
Cons: very long lines for breakfast. food was only warm
6.0 Good
Pros: Amazing lobby, outdoor area! Very friendly staff!
Cons: The rooms, although being spacious, really resemble a 2.5 star hotel, especially the bathroom, very economy style bathrooms, with outdated plumbing.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The best part is the location, really, because the beach is great.
Cons: It had been a while since I was in this hotel and it has gotten worse. Bed clothes and linen were dirty (pillows with makeup, towels dirty and with holes), power outlets broken. The hotel also charges you a "resort fee" however they charge for all the extras: if you want a palapa at the beach you have to reserve and they charge, if you want to use the gym, valet, etc. It ends up being more expensive than other hotels which include everything, are friendlier and much cleaner.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pools
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: I liked the service in the hotel, the food quality in the Restaurante’s very good.
Cons: the changes in the fee at the moment that I arrived vs my reservation. The hotel requested to pay 50% additional.
4.6 Okay
Cons: A bit outdated
5.4 Okay
Pros: Very good location in Acapulco Diamante. Very friendly and efficient staff, excellent pools and right at the beach.
Cons: 1. The hotel is a little run down, could use some improvement and updating. 2. Food is average at best and hugely overpriced. Breakfast wasn’t exceptional and more often than not, flavorless. The Terraza restaurant is filled with birds that pray on crumbs from clients tables and end up sniffing around the buffet (I once saw two birds eating directly from the Chilaquiles tray and no one from the staff batted an eye). Breakfast was included in the room’s fee, otherwise I wouldn’t have paid 300+ MXN to eat it. We preferred to dine out all three nights. 3. The hotel beach service. You have nice loungers / recliners available at the beach few steps from the hotel, but not beach front. In front of you, there are rows of loungers in huge tents managed by locals who are noisy and constantly trying to sell you stuff. If you want beach front you have to pay these people, and they block the view for all the ones using the hotels loungers. 4. Cars are parked under the scorching sun of Acapulco, not even under palm roofs. In summary, a hotel that’s supposed to be nicer than the Princess Mundo Imperial is just about the same as it’s lower category brother and at higher prices. Very disappointed to find the value for money is not what it used to be with the previous administration.
7.7 Good
Pros: Beach, pools, restaurants, attention at the front desk!
Cons: Family places, boring, and mature couples...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Privacy in this hotel makes it unique. It's a good place for families with a distinct touch of elegance and rustic architecture. The pool is pristine clean shiny and fresh with the perfect temperature.
Cons: Would like to see more of a fun bar / pool experience. The bar at the pool seems boring and detached. Food drinks are a bit pricy.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Swimming Pools. GYM. Big Space in Rooms. Located on the Beach. Access to other hotels of the same group. Staff are quite friendly. Reception desk people are awesome (e.g. OSCAR, VALERIA, and GIOVANI). I got a better room than the one reserved. In addition, they allowed me late check-out. Thank you! Food is quite good and with reasonable prices.
Cons: Rooms need Maintenance, particularly the wooden parts. Coffee capsules should be provided on a daily basis, and not only for the first night!

9.6 Excellent
Pros: We were upgraded to a larger very nice room. Breakfast was good.
Cons: We weren’t given info at the front desk about opening a voucher to order food, etc. caused confusion. We ate dinner at the Saturday evening buffet but weren’t impressed. Just ok. Beach service was a bit slow.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We had several interactions with staff all around the Elcano hotel and I must say all the staff were genuinely helpful with a nice and kind smile. It only has 8 floors and 3 elevators, so the wait is quick. The swimming pool has stairs and railing so even the elderly can get in easily. There is a large wading pool section for the kids and the sun hits that area until approximately 11:00 am in Summer. There is an ice machine on every floor next to the stairs. I loved that it has air-conditioning and a ceiling fan so you can choose. I also loved that each and every room has a beautiful ocean view. Rooms with partial views or views to other places just do Not exist in this beautiful hotel. I also liked the fact that it is conveniently located a small block away from the main Avenue, so it's less noisy. Although it's not a new hotel, it is well maintained. My room lock stopped working and I couldn't get in so I went downstairs to tell the front desk clerk about it. She immediately sent a maintenance man who delayed less than 5 minutes to arrive and fixed it. It wasn't broken actually, the batteries were dead... While he was fixing it he noticed the door wasn't as smooth as should be an he asked me for permission to oil it, so he did and left everything running smoothly. This might not be a 5 star hotel, but the employees make you feel like it is. Congratulations to all the staff and management for doing a great job. Two thumbs up!
Cons: I liked mostly everything in the Elcano hotel. I just didn't like at all that the swimming pool facilities are not open until 9 and we really enjoy swimming early, at around 7 am before the sun hits hard and before going for breakfast. I also didn't like the prices at the restaurant. I believe they're a little high. I also didn't like that the buttons to call the elevator were lacking a frame and that doesn't give a good impression to some guests that are not as easy going. Other than that, everything is great with the Elcano Hotel
7.9 Good
Pros: The location on the beach is really nice. Great views from all of the rooms.
Cons: The water in front of the hotel is dangerous and not swimmable. We saw to people that needed to be rescued by jet ski with on almost drowning.
7.5 Good
Cons: Hotel restaurant's crew seems to look too much for a tip, they already should have a good salary considering the over priced food.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It could use a renovation but it is a very nice place. The restaurant exceeded our expectations and the staff was really friendly
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent.. the location was right on the beach.. the staff was awesome ..in all my husband and I had a fantastic time
Cons: I cant say there was anything about our stay i didn't like except the ATM wouldn't take my USA credit card... but i was OK with that i was still able to shop

Cons: Nothing, everything was great!

Pros: great staff nice quiet location if you want to relax nice pool.. If you want to get to the action on the strip it s 50 pesos in a cab. Great restaurants in walking distance if you want to miss the action in town
Cons: location was out a bit but only 5 mins in cab to center but too far to walk
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was super spacious, the bathroom was modern and beautiful. The pool is beautiful. The hotel is very well located. The bus 10 minutes away brings you to every place you want to be in the city. The staff is amazingly helpful. They make sure you have everything you need and take the time to give recommendations and advises. A big thanks to Ariana Who helped me a lot with organising activities with my 14 year old niece. The staff is always smiling, so welcoming. The hotel is really great but the staff is even greater !!!
Cons: The only thing missing from the hotel was coffee and tea. There should be a coffee machine or at least a kettle for everyone to use in a common area. Staff was helpful though and let me use their microwave. Also, if there was a restaurant in the hotel, it would make a big difference. There are not that many restaurants in immédiate proximity of the hotel and during the evening, we easily want to stay and eat by the pool rather than go out. There are food delivery options, but only three: chinese, mexican and pizza. Which is very limited when you stay for a few nights. Put more than one toilet role in the room :-)

7.9 Good
Pros: The food and pool and the people who worked there where very good
Cons: There was no activities.

Pros: The hotel counts with a great view at the sunset bar
Cons: They could improve the food menu. The hotel used to have rules of silence between the casitas, this time we could hear the music and shouts from other guests.

Pros: Everything was great, but the thing that we love the most, was the outstanding service from all the employees. Great attitude and always helping.

Pros: What's not to like.?

Pros: Pools
Cons: Roaches in the rooms, staff names David suggested to "Shake up the room" to remove any more roaches..tried to contact Management 2 attempts on diferent days and failed, refused to discuss the problem..management emails booking saying they are trying to contact me, which is weird cause they know which rooms im in since we got 3 rooms, and have videos and pics of roaches

Pros: View from the 17th floor balcony on the sea is magnificent
Cons: Repair was done a long time ago and obviously has not been updated in recent years 10. If you want to plunge into the atmosphere of the 80s / 90s, these are excellent decorations for them ;)
8.0 Excellent
Pros: location was nice. hotel was clean.
Cons: you have to pay for everything even in the hotel. You pay for the parking, chairs or hut on the beach, and so on.
7.5 Good
Pros: It’s great for the reason that sits right in front of the beach few steps and you are in the ocean
Cons: It’s out dated it needs a major remodel. Not as it shows in the videos when I was looking for a hotel
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I like it all hotel clean good location etc
Cons: No wifi in 17 floor i have to put 18
4.0 Okay
Pros: We were very lucky to get an apartment (suite) for a regular price. Thus, we had a wonderful sea/city view (on both, as it was a corner apartment). It was big (2 rooms with a kitchen). Actually the room was the only good thing in this hotel taking into consideration that we paid "all-inclusive" option and then we needed to pay additionally for everything (beds on a beach, cocktails etc., because "they were in included in the all-inclusive option".
Cons: Even though we chose the highest, all-inclusive package, we needed to pay additionally for almost everything: the comfortable beds on a beach with pillows (which can be seen on pictures advertising the hotel) are "VIP service", which is not included in the all-inclusive offer (charged additionally per day), for cocktails such as mojito (only the most basic cocktails such as rum with coke are included). The hotel is also situated on a public beach, which means that there are thousands of ambulances and seller just in front of you, constantly offering you things (hard to rest in such a case and you also cannot leave anything on a beach, when you want to go swimming in a sea). Basically, it is absolutely not worth paying all-inclusive as you will need to pay on top of it for any type of high-quality service. Food is also very basic and the same every day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was amazing! Staff is very friendly and welcoming, view from the room was beautiful , the room was big and the package all inclusive is a 100% worth it Def going back soon
Cons: The wifi never worked but still had a great time.
