Pros: Great bed, very comfortable surrounding. Excellent location and the owner was so helpful and accommodating.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was warmly welcomed by the owners and felt very comfortable. Had a great night sleep all ready for work the next day. The building itself is beautiful and all work was done by the owners, which was something very special! The owners are great people with great surprises and care for their guests. Definitely, recommend this place and also will hopefully return soon.
Cons: Not a lot at all. I came in quite late so was not able to experience the whole facility as much as I would have liked to.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From arrival through to check-out we could not fault our stay. We received the friendliest welcome and both of the guesthouse owners went above and beyond our expectations. Bedroom was lovely and spacious, beds extremely comfortable and everything you could possibly need was right there. Breakfast was freshly prepared, with a vast selection of options. But of course the favourite of our trip was the use of the sauna, which was extremely relaxing and rewarding, especially since my partner and I climbed Scafell Pike earlier that day. Thank you for our stay! We will definitely be returning :)
Cons: Could not fault our stay in the slightest.

6.7 Good
Pros: The beds were clean and quite comfortable as was the en-suite shower room.
Cons: Overall the property is quite dated with pine furnishings and old fashioned bedding and curtains. Unfortunately it was very noisy as a rugby team we’re staying there and came in between 2am and 4am and were very noisy., which set a guests dog off barking! There was a lady smoking on the doorstep as we got there so my 12 year old granddaughter and I had to walk through a fug of smoke, the lady then gave us our key and pointed out which way to go. There were only two bowls on the dresser in the breakfast room, one of which was dirty. There was some nice fresh fruit but the coffee was cheap instant brought in a mug. I paid £74 for the night and have stayed in cheaper premier inns before which provided better rooms and breakfast. We stayed here whilst visiting a relative in the area.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptionally warm and welcoming staff from start to end. Superb breakfast. Evening meal menu looked fairly 'standard' but the food itself was fresh cooked, tasty and the helpings generous.
Cons: The mattress on the bed is getting close to the end of its life - we could feel the springs starting to push into upper surface. That said, we still slept well and this was not enough to cause any discomfort.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was amazing and great quality sourced ingredients. Staff were really friendly.

6.0 Good
Pros: Comfortable bed and very good breakfast. Both made up for our initial impressions of the hotel.

Pros: Staff were super friendly. We arrived late and our late check-in was just not a problem! The hotel is located in a good area close to the town centre with free parking. The rooms were super clean, well decorated and well looked after.
Cons: To put it bluntly - Workington is a tired, depressed and deprived. The people are lovely and deserve better, but the whole town is in need of regeneration on a massive scale! The hotel bar and breakfast room are both in need of a refurb.
