The staff was friendly and helpful. I signed up for tthe Alamo insider and got a discounted rate, I did my reservation on line and put in all my info which made it easy and quick to pick up the car..I use the kiosk to pick up my car and transaction done in less than 15 min. as i bypassed the counter6.4 Okay

Instruction to reach the parking lots could be much user friendlier. They jiust handed over the printed paper that explained how to get there in Japanese ( we ate from Japan). They could tell us a little bit more detailed instruction verbally in Rnglish.9.2 Wonderful

Great staff. Got upgraded from a sub-compact to a convertible on my wife’s 50th (without mentioning it). Note: this probably won’t happen to you. That aside, they got us in and out in no time, took COVID protocols seriously. I could not have asked for a better experience.2.0 Poor

There wasn’t a shuttle from the airport to this rental location. Having to use an Uber from the airport was expensive. Also the key fob had many issues. May have been the batteries in the key but they tried to teach how to use the key fob when I returned as if I didn’t understand how to drive a keyless/push to start vehicle.National

The car's service light went on for Oil Chage almost immediately after we left with the car and by the time we returned in the afternoon the Add Engine Oil light was on, so while it didn't really impact our drive, I was a little worried by the time we got back.10.0 Wonderful

I liked nothing. It was a doomed reservation from the start, where the car wasn't at the right location.Cons:
I went to pick up the car at the airport, only to find that the reservation was made at another location - a $50 cab ride away. I was told I could get the car there, but that it would cost $1478 instead of the $328 that I originally booked - for the same car and the same time frame. This was done in error (not sure who is to blame) but they could have been a little nicer about it and they definitely could have worked with me on that rate. But instead, they wouldn't budge and that makes me NOT want to ever use AVIS again!6.4 Okay

when i returned the car my flight was delayed by an hour and a half and so they charged me 80 dollars for being an hour and a half late i can understand an hourly charge but that is robbery and I probably will not use avis again because of this10.0 Wonderful

Coby at the Sheraton service desk gave excellent service, quick, efficient, computer terminal adept and had us on our way in 5 min. Good job. Return was easy except for making 14 circles up to the top of the Sheraton parking garage to drop the van in the Avis reserved parking spot.8.0 Very Good

I liked that the car was in good shape and we didn't have any trouble with it. The instructions for picking up and dropping off the car were straightforward.Cons:
The customer service woman who helped us with the paper work when picking up the vehicle was beyond rude and unfriendly. At one point, she even made me feel belittled when there was a miscommunication about purchasing vehicle insurance. She did not belong in customer service. It was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had...that is not an exaggeration. I also was shocked to find out that Budget wanted to charge me an additional $400 to drop the vehicle off at the airport, instead of in Waikiki (which is obviously more inconvenient for us). We had to drive the vehicle into the busiest streets of Oahu and catch an Uber to the airport. I can't imagine why Budget would charge $400 extra to drop the vehicle off at the airport location.10.0 Wonderful

They were not prepared for the customers even though everybody had prior reservations. We waited on the location about 3 hours for a car to be available for us. Poor handling of staff, it was a great mess for dozens of customers.10.0 Wonderful

I had asked for a rent AT HNL, the airport. Somehow my reservation pickup was changed during the reservation process and wound up in Waikiki. It was not clear that that had happened so we wound up surprised when we went to the counter at HNL.8.4 Very Good

$75 USD drop off charge for dropping off at the airport, which is only 15 minutes away from the Waikiki location I picked up from. Very excessive fee. I ended up having to take Uber back to the airport and saved $50Thrifty

Staff@pick up was not helpful. Couldn’t answer questions or explain why what was on website was different than what they were telling me.
