Pros: The breakfast and kaiseki dinner were very good.
Cons: During my stay in Autumn, there was no air-conditioner , only a heater. Have to ask for a fan. The toilet was about 6 inches above the floor of the room. It would not be convenient for the elderly and disabled people. No complimentary bottles of water were provided.

Pros: Nice ramen Convenient Staffs that can speak some English
Cons: Choosing a Japanese styled room doesn't mean that I don't want to drink coffee Lack of power outlets that I have to unplug the air refresher to charge my cell phones Shower head was way too loose and way too low, you guys might want to retrofit the shower room
10.0 Excellent

Pros: It was a nice place to stay. The food was good. The fishing area was good but free fishing equipment to me means includes hooks and bait. Also if anyone can go there, then it is not very private. The rooms had a great view. Best part of my stay

6.7 Good
Pros: Very close to a public beach.
Cons: It was not clear that kids above 3 had to pay a fee simply for entry。Breakfast was extra, bed was extra, dinner extra, and despite previous attempts to contact the hotel via email, no answer what so ever till check out, when we realize we had to pay a high price for our kids. If we knew, we would have booked a 4 person room. The pricing at the hotel is very deceptive.

Cons: Not foreigner friendly. The 24/7 staffed front desk was never staffed. Reservations are required for Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner which we were never told. They wouldn't accomodate us so forced to walk in the rain to either 7-Eleven or the 1 restaurant in walking distance. The beds are hard as rocks. The first 2 floors are dogs allowed and owners leave their dogs in there barking all day. Raised noise complaints 4 times and nothing actioned.

4.0 Okay
Pros: Central location, nice onsen in the main building hotel. Soap and shampoo provided in the apartment's bathroom but nothing else. The rooms were very basic, but nice enough and clean. Courteous, helpful staff.
Cons: No towels! What kind of hotel, even an aparthotel, does not have towels?? You can rent them from the main reception for 300 yen. The main hotel is okay but Shimakaigetsu is a run-down building across the street just with small apartments. The alley and staircase leading up to the apartment are dirty but the apartments themselves (though old) are perfectly clean. Bizarrely, there is a kitchen with fridge, microwave, and electric kettle, but NO dishes, cups, or cutlery whatsoever! All the kitchen cupboards are completely empty. The fridge froze our yoghurts over night.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The star feature was use of the onsen in the hotel across the road. Beds comfy and large. Location excellent - short walk to beach, bus station and supermarket. 5 minutes more to centre of town. Would come again just for onsen.
Cons: Rather pokey room, not really an apartment. Closely overlooked by building next door.
9.2 Excellent
Cons: Not really clean onsen (w) in the main hotel building.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Guests get to use the onsen in the main hotel. Comfortable for 5pax in each apartment. Have a nice dining area.
Cons: No elevator to the rooms on the upper floor. No cup in the apartment. Toilet is really small.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location and close proximity to the beach.
Cons: We did not appreciate the 4pm check in. We could not understand why we had to pay for bath towels. As this is an Onsen Resort, we were quite taken back that you had to pay for Yukata. This is the first time we have experienced this in Japan. The room was extremely basic and the balcony has not been cleaned in years.

Pros: The hotel stay as a whole is pleasant and comfortable and relaxing.
Cons: The price and picture provided by booking.con was not very accurate and flexibility on choosing number of member staying in the room is limited. As we have to make request to get the staff to bring it to our room.
