Pros: Loved the brunch there were so many options and everything was super fresh. This same restaurant is the restaurant we dined in the night before. The setting is more brunch or lunch than a nice dinner in my opinion.
Cons: Not Spruce Peaks fault but we were disappointed we were unable to use the outdoor hot tub as the temperature outside was subzero!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice bed and transfusion. Really hot water. Very environmental conscious.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms need renovations. Furniture wear and tear.
Cons: Furniture and areas need attention.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best thing about this hotel was the location with the beautiful view. From our room we could look out the window and see the view of the mountains with the trees in all their beautiful autumn splendor, it was absolutely amazing.
Cons: There are only a few things I didn't like about the hotel. I did not like the height of the bed.... I'm short so I found it very difficult to get in bed, and the blanket was too thick and loud, I don't like bedding that makes a rustling noise.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful resort in a great location! Our studio was well appointed, especially with the heated tile floors. Nice touch!
Cons: Resort fee was definitely too high, in my opinion. Especially for a stay the first of May, when there wasnt much going. It was obviously a slow time!

Pros: The spa was really nice
Cons: The room was small, bare bones, no netflix
1.0 Poor
Pros: nothing
Cons: Yes, the resort s far from 4 diamond, the bathroom was in terrible condition. The bath toiletries, shampoo, bath gel were not good, this is not what a top resort should have. They offered cookies between 4-5 pm, they were awful, tasted like a box mix.

Cons: Slush all over the parking lot.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location
7.0 Good
Pros: Location is great. Grounds are beautiful.
Cons: - It's unfair to not know what wing you'll be placed in at booking time. Some are pretty bad. - Parts of parking area are packed gravel with huge potholes. It would literally cost 1$ to fix. - Resort fee is unjustifiable.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Nothing
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location was good The breakfast options were amazing, food to a god standard, friendly staff
Cons: Cleanliness of the rooms was not good Broken ducting Daily room servicing was hit and miss
7.0 Good
Pros: I liked the size of the rooms and the location.
Cons: Dogs are allowed not sure why. We were woken up numerous times by a dog next door that wouldn't stop barking. Staff did nothing other than call the owners to let them know. Also didn't have room service one day. Never came at all. When I called at 6pm they said they are heading there soon. Yeah that ship has sailed. Who wants room service when you skied all day and just want to relax and shower. Had to ask for additional toilet paper as well. These are not major issues just expected more. Pool area had a smell and didn't seem super clean. Same for hot tub area.
6.5 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Smell of rooms because of old finishes
6.0 Good
Pros: The bed was amazingly comfortable.
Cons: For the price of the room I would have gone with something very different. It was a typical $100/ night room for three times the price. The website was hard to see what you were getting.

6.3 Good
Pros: The mountains
Cons: The restaurant too expensive and I didn’t know about a resort tax that was $108 and 2 nights cost $390 I think that’s excessive
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was large and comfortable. There was lots of activities on site.
Cons: It was not close to town and difficult to take taxis anywhere, but they did offer a shuttle around their site.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The site has tons of potential.
Cons: I don't like to be critical but the hotel is dated. The traditional Austrian staff uniforms are way too old fashioned. This is a ski resort not a museum. Look at what's happening in Austria today for inspiration
7.0 Good
Pros: The tv didn’t work our first night but it was fixed, thank you There was a mini fridge in our room that made a lot of noise - we understand lugged it.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is in a beautiful location with amazing views. It is a charming place with a very friendly staff. The beds were extremely comfortable!!!
Cons: Most of the rooms are a bit outdated and could use a refresh, but still maintain the charm of the "lodge" theme.

Pros: The outdoor pool was the highlight for our kids. Both the breakfast and dinner were delicious! We will return for sure!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was just what I was looking for, and the location was perfect. There was a nice bar and restaurant on site. The rooms had charm but up to date.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Restaurant, pool, hot tub and the staff were all excellent!
Cons: It’s an historic inn. So the rooms are “quaint” in comparison with your typical hotel. I’m ok with that. In fact I like a hotel with character. It does leave you with a bit of a hike up the stairs in the older part of the hotel.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: In town Stowe location is wonderful. I really enjoyed the pool area. The pool was a perfect temperature as well as the hot tub. Room was spacious
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My room was very spacious and clean, had a whirlpool tub, working gas fireplace, and luxury bedding. On-site restaurant was fantastic. Literally steps from other restaurants, cafes, bookstore, arts and gift shops. Keurig coffee machine, small fridge, and robes in room. Wineglasses also appreciated.
Cons: Breakfast was on the pricey side, but portions generous.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Booked the Green Mountain Hotel for a recent ski trip for my fiancé. We went with another couple and shared a room. I'm not a skier so I stayed behind while everyone else went to the mountain. This hotel was AWESOME! The room was quiet and so so comfy. The outdoor hot tub was so cool especially since it was about 20 degrees while we were there. The gym/sauna is so clean and so nice. We had brunch on Sunday and drinks at the restaurant. The whole place is sparkling clean and everyone is so so nice!! Location is perfect close to downtown restaurants and shopping.
Cons: A little far from the mountain. Was no big deal for us and they have an awesome free shuttle that will take you straight to the mountain but if you don't feel like dealing with the shuttle or if you don't have a car that's good in the snow to get you the 15-20 drive to the mountain you might want to stay at one of the resorts at the mountain.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great restaurant, fun being in town. Large rooms, friendly staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything; location, decor, and friendly staff.
Cons: Gym is too small. The free weights are very limited. And imposs8ble to get a serious workout.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: interesting history - fun pool bar
Cons: loved it
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The year round outdoor heated pool deck with heated pool and excellent, large hot tub is awesome! Especially in the winter with snow falling!
Cons: Winter parking for large vehicles can be a challenge
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel, built in 1833, had a warm and cosy atmosphere the minute we set foot in it. Over the years the site has expanded to include chalets and it’s now quite big. We stayed in the main hotel in a good sized room with a four poster bed (!!), plenty of drawer and wardrobe space, coffee machine, tv and an en suite bathroom with good facilities. The bed was comfy and the room kept spotlessly clean. We didn’t use the heated pool outside, sauna or jacuzzi but they were there if we wanted them. WiFi was free and the breakfast, bar and restaurant facilities were excellent. The hotel is set in the heart of Stowe so shops were just a step away. Very helpful and friendly staff made this a perfect visit. Highly recommended.
Cons: Nothing!
4.0 Okay
Cons: The staff was not customer focused. The room was way overpriced,

7.1 Good
Pros: Our stay was peaceful and quiet. We liked the fireplaces in the public areas. We also enjoyed the afternoon coffee/ tea and cookies and the availability of coffee in the morning.
Cons: There was really not a welcoming feeling. The staff was not very friendly, other than the young men who helped the tour visitors with their luggage. Those visitors seemed to get a lot of attention from everyone, but we may as well have been invisible.
7.0 Good
Pros: It has the need for major renovations. It may have been great at one time but no longer.
Cons: EVERYTHING needs renovation. Stool in our room had a huge threadbare spot with the stuffing showing. Rust in tge shower. Broken cement, potholed roadways, uneven cem ent. I wish I could send you pics I took of the room.
6.0 Good
Pros: room was nice, building and grounds were below average
Cons: not really
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location was great, indoor fitness gym (do not have to go outside to get to it), restaurant attached also. Great pillows.
Cons: Was told I can buy a $10 voucher for breakfast but when the time came, the front desk and restaurant had no idea what I was talking about. Fireplace in room made a terrible noise constantly (due to wind in chimney/flue), dated, mattress was worn out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendy staff, location, general setting of the room
Cons: nope

Pros: My wife and I stayed at Sun and Ski Inn and Suites during the COVID-19 crisis. They made every effort to make it an enjoyable stay for us. Cons: Perfect!
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The front desk man was awesome! And the location was perfect.
Cons: The bowling alley attached was TERRIBLE, the staff acted like we were putting them out by being there even though we’d go in two or three hours before they closed. After the second time we went we gave up, everyone there was super rude.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, great attentive staff, lot to do on property, which was good because we got snowed in. But great area as well.
Cons: no
10.0 Excellent

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location, cosy common space with fireplaces, beautiful views , feeling like home. It does need a renovation, but maybe that smell of old and wood contributes to the charm. The restaurant serves excellent food.
Cons: I would suggest to start the breakfast at least an hour earlier
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable! Nice place!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The layout was very unique.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: In our room, we enjoyed having a bidet and a dressing room. The lobby was chalet style cozy. My daughter and I enjoyed our morning hot chocolate and coffee there while playing one of the provided board games. We had a great Bavarian style dinner in the Fritz Bar. It was a nice pool. Small but perfect for my kiddo who is still learning how to swim. The property is also near Weissner Woods which has easy walking trails or XC skiing, depending on the conditions. Stowehof is at a great location. Close to the mountain but not on the main road. We look forward to staying there again.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The fireplace and the lobby area were great! Quaint and relaxing with great views.
Cons: I paid extra for a room with a view which was minimal. The water only got lukewarm and our sliding door wouldn't lock properly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing!! Such a cool place! If youre looking for a normal boring holiday inn keep looking...but if youre looking for a super cool hotel.. Picture worthy and makes you want to return from your Stowe adventuring to hang out by the pool this is it!!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We were fortunate to get a room within a 4 hr notice. Our plane got delayed so we needed a room in Stowe for the night. We didn't arrive until after midnight and there was an envelope with a key and note for us. We slept well and were happy to have a hot shower and hot breakfast the next morning. Very charming place and we would stay here again!
Cons: The room was freezing when we got in. The wall heaters didn't take long to get things warmer but it would've been nice to already be warm. The shower head is too small and needs to be upgraded so water hits all of you not just half.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Plenty of charm, clean spacious comfortable room and comfortable beds and gorgeous view
Cons: None
6.8 Good
Pros: Great location!
Cons: Breakfast starts at 7:30, the same time the lifts open. Need something earlier for early morning skiers. Rooms need facelift.
6.0 Good
Pros: The beds and rooms were nice, good value.
Cons: We ran out of hot water one of our nights and the issue never got resolved. Pretty disappointing after a long day of skiing.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It’s very nice and the ambience is very pleasant
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It’s quirky love the fire places and the tree branches

4.5 Okay
Pros: Granted, it was the only room left in town, the inn is picture perfect from the outside and a great location in town. The staff was a little scary with too many piercings. Had to wait for the room. The bath room was clean but the bed covers were really old and stained. Hard wood floors but no rug. Noisy wall heater We ended up walking around town and visiting all the great restaurants. We finally went back and were out by 7am. We were glad to have a bed but....didn't really feel comfortable
4.8 Okay
Pros: Great location
Cons: Staff wasn't very friendly or accommodating. Rooms are out dated. When checking in we were told $4 for breakfast. The next morning it was $5, and they were out of everything besides watermelon and coffee. We were there at 7:30 am!
7.3 Good
Pros: Gracious innkeeper and all the charm you would expect from an inn at Stowe Vt. Very good dinner in restaurant
Cons: Food was int the fridge
9.1 Excellent
Pros: I especially loved the family feel and the friendly staff. There were lots of staff around and everyone was kind, helpful and very friendly. I felt so comfortable and safe. Also, everything was incredibly clean, towels, sheets, bathroom - everything!
Cons: The motel part was a bit old and lacked shades and towel racks. But still all was comfortable and clean.
7.7 Good
Pros: The main building is gorgeous, and loaded with antiques The bar is awesome, with a very friendly bartender The staff is top-notch, friendly, helpful, and eager to please Would stay again in the main building (sans dog)
Cons: The carriage house, (not the main building,) is run down You have to stay in the carriage house if you bring a dog Won't stay again in the carriage house
6.0 Good
Pros: Very basic but great price.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: It is a locally owned hotel and old. But the people are wonderful and food is amazingood. They have a beautiful sitting area in the main house. If I were to go to stowe again I would happily stay there again.
Cons: The tight covers by the bed, they were stringy and old. Because the rooms are old there is still I slight smell of smoke from all the years ago it was aloud, but it's not bad.
7.7 Good
Pros: Very casual and easy to stay independent. Not fancy or stuffy.
Cons: Rooms are outdated with old furniture and bathroom fixtures. Continental breakfast was very basic, though an excellent fruit bowl.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful staff and all around great stay! Virginia at the front desk was great at making recommendations of things to do and places to eat! The owner was very accommodating and quick to troubleshoot any issues!
4.2 Okay
Pros: Conveniently located to the village and to the mountaintop and the price was right since it was off-season.
Cons: The room in the adjacent building was a dump. I had booked looking at the photos of the rooms, which all looked nice and was looking forward to spending time there. However, when I arrived, my heart sank because the room didn't look anything like the pics and felt dirty. Once I saw the bathroom with the mold growing along all the caulking and the grout of the tile and the splatters and scratches on the bathroom door and urine at the bottom of the toilet, I decided not to look too closely anymore and not to take off my shoes. Perhaps the rooms in the inn itself are nicer but I had to book a pet room. My dog is only 10# though and non-shedding so he doesn't leave a trace. Nonetheless, I paid a $30 pet fee for a filthy room.
5.3 Okay
Pros: The location is pretty ideal. Walking distance to a few great spots to grab a bite.
Cons: There was a part of the hotel that was historic and well maintained but the part we stayed in was borderline a Bates Motel. I'm not picky when it comes to just having a place to rest my head but it was still a little disappointing. Room also didn't have an iron and finding someone at the front desk to help with that conundrum was impossible so I just wore a different shirt. Not a big deal but certainly disappointing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Many of the reviews are ridiculously negative. This is one of the prettiest Inns in Stowe, and one of the best values. We've stayed a couple times, and the rooms are fresh, clean and up to date, in a charming old property a block away from the walking area and stores of Stowe downtown.
Cons: It is true, as some of the reviews complain, that the free breakfast is not quite up to the standard of a historic property like the Stowe Inn. But it's OK.

Overview Reviews
Town and Country Stowe is a contemporary, select-service hotel serving travel-savvy adventurers of all ages and providing immediate access to the best of Stowe.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Clean, nice view
Cons: Room small, poorly arranged, beds for four, one small and hideously uncomfortable chair. No place to put more than one small suitcase, only one small table not at a height for eating. No way four people could share this room, and I question the fire safety aspects if they did. The room was app. 8x12, and the beds were app. 6x6, you do the math.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the contemporary decor!
Cons: Not enough information regarding check out information/game room hours.
7.0 Good
Pros: Functional, well located.
Cons: The room I booked had a broken lock. Jim at the desk was very helpful but he had to call the owner to disconnect the lock - which was beeping for an hour non stop - and his idea of customer service was not the same as Jim’s. He didn’t apologize for the inconvenience nor the time I had to wait for him to stop the infernal beeping. He also did not communicate to the staff that they could comp me something for my trouble or not charge me for my late check out. Just a gesture would have been nice. I stayed at the fabulous Vermont Inn afterward where the service is tops and the room - which is luxurious compared to the Town & Country was only 40$ more. In comparison, the T&C looks pretty shabby.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Game room
Cons: Housekeeping not great; food not great;
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Extra warm indoor pool. Large lawn with table and chairs and plenty of room for children/teens to safely run and play. Extra friendly staff. Next door to mini mart and Subway.

Cons: Dirty hotel, but worse than the dead bug smashed on the walls and the hair and dust around the hotel room was the noirse . We could hear every movement from the room above our head it was horrible. I slept with headphones on max volume the entire night and was still woken up by foot steps. I tried calling the front desk to ask for another room but he said he was completely booked....however a quick search online showed there was something avaible at the hotel. Would never stay again

Cons: Leave alone

4.0 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was good and location really close to Stowe for ski
Cons: At check in, we saw people waiting for an hour to wait to get their keys, fortunately for us our friends checked in already and we were sharing a room. Then, in the room, furniture and room itself are quite old there was a stain on the carpet that looked like blood. There were other facilities like Jacuzzi that was broken. The hotel could use a renovation.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was friendly the rooms were clean the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was excellent and the location couldn't be better
Cons: Unfortunately the inside hot tub and one of the outside hot tubs we're out of order
5.8 Okay
Pros: The property is in a good location, except it is on a very busy road and if you get a room near the front of the building, you have traffic noise. One very convenient thing was that we had a private door directly to the parking lot, so did not have to go through the lobby to get out to our car.
Cons: The property is run down. Everything was clean, but shabby. All rooms are on ground level, and traffic noise is a big problem at the front of the building. The whole place needs a makeover.

Cons: The bed is too soft and sinks in the middle. A bit uncomfortable for my husband who has a bad back.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was comfortable & the owners thought of everything. I would definetly stay again. If I had only one suggestion it would be to have a hook on the back of the bathroom door to hang clean clothes after our shower. Besides that everything was excellent!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: price was good and our expectation weren't high- but from the welcoming - the atmosphere- the design- the cleanness- the breakfast- the indoor pool and sauna - all this made us feel very comfort and as a matter of fact we decided to stay another day.

Cons: Noisy - no soundproofing between rooms.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location Excellent staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The decor and accommodations were boujie (as our son put it). Very comfortable. Breakfast was just right for preskiing.
Cons: The coffee in the common hallway seemed to be put out around when breakfast is served. It would be a bit better if that was out earlier so it could be enjoyed while getting up and dressed (as one would in accommodations that provide in-room coffee makers). Coffee was delightful however.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Field Guide Lodge was amazing! If you are looking for a modern feel place to stay then this is it! It is also very cozy with few fire places in the lobby area and so many pillows and even blanket if you want one! The rooms are very clean and the bed is super comfortable! The staff is super friendly and helpful :) Field Guide Lodge is only a short walk from the town and around many cool restaurants and shops!
Cons: We liked everything! It could have a little better (warm) breakfast! Scrambled eggs and waffle machine would be a plus as the lobby area has the accommodation for it :) but we loved everything!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, great value for money, nice and stylish rooms, comfortable beds, very helpful staff.
Cons: The bathroom was a little small (nothing horrible, but it could be a little bigger).

Pros: Staff was great.
Cons: Room had a really bad odor.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We liked the pond in back with canoes, and kayaks that you can use. It's nice to walk around with your free coffee in morning. The kids like the pools and hot tub. It is centrally located for traveling north or south. They serve cookies in afternoon, a nice treat.
Cons: The hotel was very clean, but wallpaper is dated and shoeing it's age by peeling or being ripped. Also with the increase in use of technology, the rooms could use more outlets, especially when 4 people gave their phones and other devices.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked the comfort of the bed, pool and spas, breakfast area and food , lobby and cookies in the afternoon and efficient bus going to the ski resort.
7.4 Good
Pros: It is an older hotel, so everything is not updated, but it doesn't pretend like it is the newest and nicest place which in itself is refreshing. It's exactly what you're looking for in a place like Stowe where most of your time is spent not at the hotel. Good value, good location, excellent staff.
Cons: The room that I was in had a distinct mildew odor, which may have come from the HVAC system.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The woman in reception was very accommodating when we arrived early for check in.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a issue with a noisy AC unit and they moved us at 11pm with no problems. We just slept in the other room, but the hotel did not make us move all our stuff which was great. My kids loved kayaking in the lake on the property.

Pros: Room was awesome , very clean and modern
5.0 Okay
Pros: The room was as represented modern and clean however the jacuzzi did not work!
Cons: The fact that the jacuzzi didn't work and I was looking forward to that and also the fact that they did not tell me that the restaurant was under renovation and therefore we had to eat elsewhere! I felt this was dishonest not to tell ahead before booking!

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: We were located in the “Loft” which is actually a small apartment with all needed for a comfortable stay . We felt at home, didn’t want to leave. Mary, the owner is super friendly and a very warm person. She had a concern that we will not find an available restaurant for dinner, so she offered to have dinner at her house (for a fee). We gladly accepted her offer and had a wonderful dinner with her & her friends. We also received good recommendations on where and what to do in Stowe area .
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Mary is super cool! Fun to talk to and she really makes you feel at home. The house is beautiful and you can't beat the location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I really liked the owner, Mary. She visited with the other guests and myself quite late and then got up very early to cook us up an amazing hot breakfast, cooked to order! The house has a lot of history, but is furnished with lovely artwork and antiques. The house is walking distance to the lovely little downtown Stowe. I could not have had a better B&B experience! Thank you, Mary!
Cons: Absolutely nothing

Pros: Awesome space, great location!
Cons: Nothing—loved it all!

Pros: The host is simply wonderful, the breakfast was very tasty (including home made yogurt), and the B&B itself is quite exceptional. Highly recommended!
Cons: A suggestion: a trash can in the bathroom would be a very practical addition

Pros: The hospitality was wonderful and very warm and the feeling was of a home. Mary is lovely and a great host. The homely breakfast is excellent and the atmosphere is good. We also had a great dinner for an extra charge. Thank you Mary for the great hospitality

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such an enjoyable stay. All the comforts of home, plus some fantastic extras (where else can you have French toast waffles). Getting in/out to the village by foot is simple and the drive up the mountain road takes no time. Fantastic recommendations for food establishments also. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I've stayed in some lovely b&b's over the years but Mary and her Hobble Inn will take some topping. We were off the back of a long drive from Maine; as soon as we walked through the door we were greeted with a smile and a much needed glass of wine. Mary offered to do our laundry. The breakfast is great. Lots of tips for things to do in Stowe and where we were finishing our trip in Burlington and Boston. 10/10

Pros: Great restaurant, fun being in town. Large rooms, friendly staff.

Cons: Gym is too small. The free weights are very limited. And imposs8ble to get a serious workout.

Pros: Rooms need renovations. Furniture wear and tear.
