7.5 Good
Pros: The location was great and easy !
Cons: In the restaurant the kitchen utensils are not clean. And when we enter first in our suit the Bed sheets weren't very clean, they re coming after us to change that! It's better.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location and facilities is good. They offer private beach
Cons: The reception people has no training and no responsibility. They never reply email. I send several email regarding change my invoice. They make mistake with my company name. I left at 3am , I leave my email address and business card. they said they will asked manager to change company name on my invoice and sent back to me. Until now , it pass almost 2 weeks, no one reply.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything - a beautiful place, Moroccan Gambian beautiful design in a lovely part of the world on the beach - staff were perfect! I was there for work however had some time off also to enjoy. I highly recommend.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The spa was AMAZING. Had several treatments and I was very pleased with the service.
Cons: Wifi in the room was horrible. It barely worked unless I was standing close to the window. In other locations it seemed to work just ok, tripping off intermittently but manageable. I was charged a fee for a local call I never made. It was eventually taken off my bill when I argued with them. Breakfast was ok, nothing too fantastic I had an issue of money being stolen from my room. I was told I left my safe open even though I was sure I didn't. Anyway the security manager kept on trying to convince me I left my safe open but didn't have any information on who stole the money. I asked to speak with the people who found my safe open and took account of all that was in my safe but i didn't get to meet them. For 2 days after the open safe incident, my room wasn't cleaned, towels weren't changed, trash wasn't emptied, it was a complete mess. Evidently the management Is having issues and the standard used to be a lot higher but my experience there wasn't so great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: food and staff
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The sea, the beach and the swimming pool are wonderfull.
Cons: Rooms/suite in the Papaya building have to be avoid. You get the impression to sleep in a Parking place.

6.0 Good
Pros: room was good
Cons: we were moved from swimming pool at 4.30pm and there wasn't anywhere in the sun!! man was quite rude tbh disappointing tbh breakfast time was chaos, too many people not enough tables, running out of stuff!!
7.0 Good
Pros: All the restaurant staff, as well as the pool/beach attendant were incredible! Breakfast and dinner were good. The beach is great! A small market, and a couple of places to eat, just outside the hotel.
Cons: Beware of booking informations: there's no shuttle to the airport (let alone it is free). No credit/debit cards accepted and they invite you to withdraw money from the "hotel" bank with a 4,6% fee; take money with you or go outside and use the ATM machine. Booked half board; when I arrived, and on the day after, I was told that only breakfast was included. No drinks, not even a glass of water, included in the dinner! Wi-Fi everywhere but only "works" nearby the reception.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good location. Cheerful and helpful staff. Nice entertainment
Cons: No ATM. Battery in safe not working
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was so beautiful and the staff was amazing. When we arrived we were led to our room. I reserved a basic room and it was quite nice. By the time we walked back from the room I asked if there might be a closer room to reception because it really was hard for me to walk that far. They found a deluxe room for us that was very close to the front and right by the pool!! AND then he told me they would not charge us any extra! The staff was so helpful and kind. Definitely would go back!
Cons: The grounds are so expansive i just wish I could have experienced everything there! I would have loved a/c in the reception area, but that's just my spoiled self talking!!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The food cooked at the beach house
Cons: wifi was not all that great at times unless you went to the reception lobby otherwise depends how close your block is to the router it runs slow.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Room was clean. Shower was large.
Cons: The Senegambia Hotel and its ownership group actively discriminate against non-European / black guests. If you are black, you will be treated worse than the whites. I recommend booking an Airbnb instead.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast, nice beach and beach restaurant, good newly renovated rooms with AC
Cons: Depending on the location within the hotel, the wifi connection was bad. Payment with credit card was not possible although it was mentioned as payment option on booking.com. This lead to some hick-up with the management but in the end the issue could be solved by paying via bank transfer.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast and good coffee, nice surroundings and nice swimming pool.
Cons: That one of the managers and one of the boys behind the reception asked for my girlfriend's telephone number. Hands off, she's mine.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The Breakfast was excellent and enjoyable. Clean Rooms Amazing staff.

7.9 Good
Pros: The location
Cons: Rooms could do with a washing line outside maybe to dry clothes
7.0 Good
Pros: It was very good. Many of local and international foods were available. The staff at the breakfast place was good and cooperative. They will prepare the omelet according to your choice.
Cons: I didn't see anything bad there. Only one thing which they can work and improve is the timing. They start at 7:30 am. It should start serving, at least , at 6:30 am, as some of guest need to leave earlier.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: location
Cons: breakfast is minimum and always waiting the restaurant is only microwave food some people don't like to work and are unfriendly
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is really nice. The facilities are pretty good, big pool and games area.
Cons: The taxi manager outside was really rude to us and since we did not take their services cause their are overpriced compared to others he was mad.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The pool was brilliant and table games
Cons: A fridge included in the bungalow would be great
1.0 Poor
Pros: Bed was comfortable
Cons: Check in was a mess, took an hour to get organised. WiFi doesn't work most of the time, they blamed it on the network but other hotels didn't have the same issue Air conditioning isn't included I was told on arrival so a price was negotiated All agreed, I produced my credit card to pay for the rooms with the extra air conditioning price. I was then faced with an additional 5% surcharge they added on because I was paying with Visa. The hotel is up for sale, it's old and worn ... Best to stay away until they're sold and have better management!!!

Pros: The staff are amazing. A massive thanks to Arun, Omar, Samba, Usman and Bobby Lashley! Beach is gorgeous and bingo at 5 is always a good laugh. Entertainment in the evenings is always very good. Also a shout out to the lunch menu including cheese chips!
Cons: The food sold in the evenings could be better. There is a longer wait but that is expected. I do believe this could a little better.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: A great place to stay which is right on the beach. Facilities are provided for a day on the beach. We where we’ll looked after by the owners to the staff the security staff and the guys on the beach who will make sure you are happy and safe.
Cons: Unhappy with booking.com for changing my total value of my stay from pound sterling to euro which meant there was a hike in the price of our holiday. This has nothing to do with the hotel itself.
7.0 Good
Pros: The atmosphere and the food
Cons: The wifi was not very good

7.0 Good
Pros: Superb location right on the beach, friendly staff, decent pool. Modu the cleaner did a great job.
Cons: Breakfast was tasty but no matter how many times you asked for smaller portions you still got the same huge omelette. The fittings etc in the room were a bit dated.
5.4 Okay
Cons: cleaning
7.9 Good
Pros: The gounds were well kept. The surrounds were very peaceful.
Cons: The rooms did not have a kettle in them. They provided a saucepan to boil the water. The plugs are 2 pins. The lady at the desk was kind enough to lend me an adaptor.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: not so I needed a double bed not two single attached
Cons: Not so much I enjoyed my stay!
7.0 Good
Pros: The location of this hotel is lovely - right on the beach and plenty of places to eat close by. Staff were, in the main, lovely - with a couple who were less so.
Cons: The breakfast was not good. Out of 7 days my breakfast order was only correct once - why don't the staff write down what people want. On a number of occasions some of the breakfast items were cold. Toast? hmm well slightly warm bread!! Probably the only thing that wasn't overcooked!! Eggs - I was asked whether I wanted them cooked on both sides or one side - both sides they were rock hard, one side - white not properly cooked!! Orange juice was, on most days orange squash rather than juice. On one occasion I asked for a second cup of tea and was charged for it!! I have little doubt that I will stay in this hotel again, but will go for the self catering option for breakfast. Because the breakfast was so poor I chose not to risk eating in the hotel for lunch or dinner. I was unhappy that I had to pay to use a sunbed on the beach - bars all along the beach do not charge - needless to say I used these after the first day. Also cross that the hotel charged almost double for a beer than other bars close by!! I would have expected to pay more - 'hotel prices' - but not as much as I was charged - free sunbeds and lower charges for food and drinks would encourage more people to stay local to the hotel.
5.8 Okay

Cons: rooms dirty

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location with easy walking distance to a lovely beach as well as to Senegambia, the main tourist area. Very friendly staff that did everything to make our stay great. Cozy pool and bar area with delicious and affordable lunch/snacks. We never tried dinner but looking at the menu they seemed to have a wide variety. Clean and basic rooms but spacious and with a nice veranda when staying in the junior suite.
Cons: Breakfast could have had a few more choices and also it got a bit crowded during peak time in the morning. Lighting in the room could be improved and mosquito nets covering windows could have a better fit.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The pool area was nice and the area of the hotel (the street had lots of nice bars and restaurants). It was a very short walk to the beach.
Cons: Overall, the people at the reception were not helpful at ALL! It is not a comfortable and well maintained place. Everything seems old and not well kept. Upon arrival we received the wrong information on the breakfast times (from 7-8 AM) and we were immediately tackled for a trip (whereas it was the middle of the night). In the pool area people kept harassing us for massages and tours. Upon seeing the room, it looked as if it was not clean and overall as a junior suite it did not match the photos as displayed on the website. Breakfast was poor, we walked in around 9 AM (whereas it is till 10 AM) and everything was already finished. Cocktails in the pool area are very expensive and not in line with the ingredients. Finally, the most important part was the payment. Via booking.com we received a confirmation that we could pay with our credit card. This was important for us since it was hard to get cash in Gambia. However, the reception people stated (different from time of check in) that the machine never works and that we should pay in cash. This meant that we had to withdraw the maximum amount, incur additional costs etc etc. They did NOT offer a solution.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good value, nice swimming room, good breakfast, most of the staff were nice. You have to be a bit lucky with your room, is some rooms the airco didn't work that great.
Cons: Breakfast room was very demotivating, too little space around swimming pool (too much people smoking around in sunbeds). One girl at the reception was terribly rude, cause I tried to pay with credit card (and it AGAIN did not work). The other girl was very nice and gave me flowers.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet and relaxing. Great views. Friendly staff
Cons: Nothing to complain about
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Bamboo is big hotel with good location near beach and Senegambia strip.room was bit old with good shower and bed.tv channels was lost.buffet breakfast.very nice smiling staff and lovely reception girls
Cons: wi-fi was available ONLY pool area and reception, sometimes out of service and very slow
7.9 Good
Pros: Great location being central but away from sebegambia. Hotel clean and adequate. Staff friendly Rooms cleaned daily
Cons: Wifi was very intermittent even by the pool and reception which at times was very frustrating
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very caring and attentive. Great customer service.
Cons: All great. Would be unfair to say otherwise
9.0 Excellent
Pros: IVE STAYED IN BAMBOO MANY TIMES. STAFF ARE EXCELLENT. ROOMS NICE AND CLEAN. POOL AREA AND BAR NICE. BREAKFAST IS BUFFET WITH LOTS OF CHOICES.
Cons: FEW CATS AND THEIR KITTENS ROAMING AROUND. THEY FRIENDLY CATS AND GUESTS FED THEM. THE SMELL OF THEM SPRAYING WAS JUST A BIT TO MUCH.

1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing. Staff tried to over charge us and there were ants in our room
Cons: Staff are rude and dishonest. Definitely not a 5* hotel
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic staff and great location!
Cons: Haphazard check in and poor quality local spirits
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I liked the sun, the experience, people were friendly and I felt safe when I traveled across Gambia and Senegal.
Cons: I didn't like the beach, as it was dirty, nor the fact that I had to pay an extra fee of 3% for using the credit card, nor the fact that at the ATM had to pay a fix fee of 150 GMD for each transaction and was allowed to withdraw no more than 2000 GMD, but the ATM had only 1000 left. I had a constant fear of malaria, which could have been solved if there were insect nets at the doors and windows and around beds. The hotel, the flights and taxi were more expensive in Gambia than in other vacation destination preferred my masses, such as Thailand, or Egypt, while Gambia is far more poorer than the other two mentioned destinations.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Just the view of the ocean and cleanliness of bathroom.
Cons: The customer service is ridiculously slow, in regards to guest services and house keeping were no where to be found. Took a number of occasions to chase up house keeping to clean room. Hotel ran out of essential necessities. The maintenance of the rooms and balcony were horrible and infestation.
7.1 Good
Pros: See below
Cons: Very beautiful hotel/location. Clean and modern. Lovely staff. Food very nice and all inclusive very good - super cocktails alcohol and non-alcohol. The spa also is lovely. The only room for improvement -: We stayed for 4 days and could not get a sunbed any day - it asks you not to reserve the beds however the other tourists appear to reserve their beds from around 6am. Very disappointed not be able to relax by the pool or beach and instead had to sit at a table by the bar! No tan here then! 2 out of 4 days they had run out of beach towels. The tourist season has not even started yet so I dread to think what the sunbed and towel situ would be like when the hotel is fuller! The kids pool was not clean or cleaned it would seem and was quite disgusting. The hotel is all inclusive. In Gambia wages are very low and staff need to make up their money with tips. The staff do not get paid more than other non- inclusive hotels and so are working on a very low wage. There is no tip box or means of rewarding staff in the hotel. There should at least be a box in reception where tourists can put their remaining dalasi before they leave the country which could then be shared once a year with all staff.

7.5 Good
Pros: The location was great and easy !

3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The sea, the beach and the swimming pool are wonderfull.
Cons: Rooms/suite in the Papaya building have to be avoid. You get the impression to sleep in a Parking place.
