Pros: The hostel was great about my early check-in after arriving on the night bus and Santiago texted me to make sure I had the directions. Nora checked me in and looked after me the whole time. She could not have been warmer or kinder and her English is excellent! She also tried very hard to arrange horseback riding for me although unfortunately it didn't happen because of the rain. Pros: The house and gardens are absolutely stunning!! So beautiful! And the service was amazing: there was a storm when we were there. First, when it started raining, the owner (?) walked through the rain to our apartment to bring umbrellas. Then, when we were in town and the power went out across town, he called to see if we were ok and offered to pick us up. Great service!! The breakfast in the beautiful kitchen was also nice. Definitely recommend this place highly! We booked the apartment with 2 bedrooms, it's very big and private (you walk there in 2 min from the house, beauriful walk through the garden)
Cons: Almost nothing! Only thing I can think of is that we rented an apartment, but it did not have enough glasses and plates etc for all of us. Next to that, only one of the two bedrooms had airco so that can be a potential improvement, but we did not mind this

Pros: The breakfast was amazing!
Cons: The bed was a little bit uncomfortable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place with wonderful attention to detail in a majestic old town with friendly people.
6.7 Good
Pros: Great location. Antigua Casona is three or four blocks from the bus station and a block and a half from the main plaza. There are six rooms in the hotel running down one side of a small courtyard. On the other side of the courtyard is an exterior wall separating the hotel from a neighbouring property. My wife and I spent two nights there in early March 2019. On both nights we were the only guests in the hotel.
Cons: I don't normally leave negative feedback but there were two things we really didn't like about our stay at Antigua Casona. The first was no fault of the hotel, but guests should be warned. On our second night (a Thursday) the neighbours on the other side of the courtyard began an outdoor party about nine o'clock which featured someone attempting to play bongos very loudly and very badly. Periodically they would stop for fifteen or twenty minutes, then just as we were dropping off to sleep the bongos would start again. This went on till three o'clock in the morning. This may or may not be a regular occurrence but if you choose to stay here, make sure you bring a good pair of earplugs. (I now notice that one earlier review complained about noisy neighbours.) The second bad experience did involve the hotel. The listing on Booking.com states that the price quoted "includes taxes and charges". When I went to pay the bill, I asked the guy at the front desk whether the charge on my bill (which was the same as the price quoted on Booking.com) did include taxes. He confirmed that it did. I then explained that as foreigners paying with a foreign debit card (the hotel does not accept credit cards), we were exempt from the 21% VAT. I also explained that we had been travelling around Argentina for ten weeks and that no other hotel had charged us the tax. He looked at me, thought a bit, than asked me to wait while he went to check. A couple of minutes later he returned and said that he had been wrong and that the price I was being billed did NOT include taxes! I shook my head, didn't argue, and just paid the bill. It was only an extra ARS$1100 or so; not enough to bankrupt us but enough to leave a bad taste in the mouth.

Pros: Centrally located close to restaurants, Bus Station

Pros: Great building. Great location. Nice stuff. Awesome breakfast!

Pros: The hotel is full of character, very comfortable, clean and high quality throughout. Hotel staff were friendly and helped us with everything we needed. It's a short bus ride from BA and the perfect place to escape and relax.

3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The town and the position of the house are very nice and calm, the house itself is a wonderful colonial house, but it's totally abadoned and dirty.
Cons: This place is an insult towards any other hospedaje in Argentina who is trying to meet guests in a decent manner and trying to make business in right way, with respect to the guests and not thinking only about money. The building is great indeed, a wonderful colonial house in a quiet and nice city, but it looks like it was opened two days ago after 70 years of abandonment, put up a bed and put the guests in. Dirty, old stuff everywhere, abandoned medicine, leafs inside the closets. Horrible conditions everywhere. The owner stalked us prior to our arrival to sell us activities, and it’s easy to understand why, since money is the only thing that matter, not the guests relax, not cleaning or helping (nobody helped us with the luggage, they were just looking). Dogs roams freely and nobody say nothing, even when doing “breakfast”, that means a dirty table full of flies, with juice poured hours before in open glasses, and coffee available in an old thermos. We literally run away, after paying the highest price payed in Argentina in a single night, in dollars and with all the taxes that are not due from foreign visitors. Visit the city, the pueblo and the beautiful country but stay well away from this place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The amazing house, the comfortable room, the friendly staff and more...
Cons: Everything was perfect!

Pros: Great stay! Quiet and authentic estancia, with lovely staff. Clean and spacious room with big bed and aircon. Great pool!! Breakfast quite simple but fresh.
Cons: Perhaps adding some things to breakfast such as eggs, cheese, avocado and fruit would be nice.
