Cons: My dresser was difficult to close, but it didn't bother me enough to report it until I checked out. No other complaints at all.

Cons: Very slow elevators. Unfortunately we were leaving the same time a large group from a convention was checking out and the 3 elevators could not keep up with the demand.

Cons: Only valet parking. Inconvenient for us

Cons: Room smelled like chlorine when I came in, and the water tasted heavily chlorinated. The room was a bit poorly lit, and the windowsill outside the room was consistently overrun with pigeons. Glasses as opposed to plastic cups would be preferred (for the environment), and a safe to lock up valuables would have been nice. (I prefer not to have to take my passport with me everywhere.)

Cons: Elevator use was impossible, walked down stairs from 15th floor with luggage.

Cons: Need better pillows. Firm ones.

Cons: The hotel was at FULL CAPACITY and completely booked and although I don't have a huge problem with this as it pertains to the pandemic, it does seem like the hotel is not designed (or managed well enough) to support a full capacity crowd.

Cons: they charged my card $482 dollars for parking when it was only supposed to be $46. Took them a week to refund the money and then they still charged me for the parking!! What a joke! Where is the coustomer service?

Cons: Couldn't get the room cool enough. Didn't sleep very well due to the room not being cool enough. Very humid.

Cons: Hotel was dated. Too expensive for what we got. Upon return to our room we discovered our AC was not working. Front desk sent up a tech but he couldn't fix it. So they gave us a fan.... No one from mgmt contacted me and no apologies. Just nothing. I paid less for my room at the beautiful La Cantera the night before.

Cons: Restaurant prices.

Cons: I had a spa service at the spa that is not owned by the hotel, but located inside the hotel on the River Walk level. It was not a good experience and then I was overcharged for it.

Cons: I think having breakfast included like other chains do would be a nice addition

Cons: sound proofing. With construction across the street waking you up at 6:40 am, easily hearing the conversations of others in the hall ways and flushing of toilets, sleep was easily disrupted. shower tub and carpet had stains/not fully cleaned. bathroom fixture groves had visible dust collected. really small pool, not sure if its that i'm from Miami, Fl where there is many pools. its about the size of the elevator hallway and maybe 4 ft deep.

Cons: My only compaint about the hotel is the cost of parking. Valet parking is $40 and self parking is $30 per night. Very expensive. If you stay a few nights parking ends up costing you as much as an additional night's stay.

Cons: Room was a reasonable size but bathroom was a little bit worn. On the one day we forgot to leave a tip, the cleaning staff did a less than adequate job cleaning the room.

Cons: I paid for a balcony overlooking the river and the hotel doesn't even offer them. They told me that sites like yours are known for promising things that don't exist. I am very disappointed with my reservation price!!!!

Cons: Construction on the second floor during the day.

Cons: Would have liked to have stayed another day to enjoy more of the amenities, such as the Menger Bar and its TR Rough Riders connection. Note: You really need a "none of the above" category for the second question on who was in your party -- none of those definitions fit. This was frustrating and I almost didn't write this review, but decided to submit it by checking "group of friends" even though it's wholly inadequate to describe my party, which was me, my sister, and mother, and my sister's boyfriend.

Cons: They could use better vending machines, but then again I have never been to a place that has great vending machines.

Cons: The room worked for what I needed, but it could have been better. The bathroom was small and was, for some reason, built 6-8 inches higher than the rest of the room. You could hear everything through the walls.

Cons: Needs a little updating. Understand the historical aspect to the hotel, but still. Not sure if the heater wasn't working, but our room was freezing. Attempted to higher the temp, but to no avail. Didn't want to but front desk at 2am.

Cons: The rooms and bathrooms, beds are not confortable and showers are bad cold hot cold hot water cept changing also toilet to noisy, also room smelled pretty bad.

Cons: I would like to suggest that better quality sheets be used on the bed... sheets were way to big, so they tangled up at your feet. The beds are not the most comfortable to begin with and the sheets only made it worse.

Cons: The view from the window? - a wall! Next time we will ask for a courtyard or other external, interesting view. Otherwise, all was well.

Cons: They didn't tell me about 20$ parking day, they didn't tell me 100$ deposit would be needed.

Cons: No ventilation in the room, so bring a small portable fan. Events in the plaza across the street (protesters, musicians) can be quite loud and go on late into the evening. The card/lock system for the room often malfunctioned and wouldn’t let us in.

Cons: It was the most uncomfortable hotel bed we've ever slept.

Cons: Small bathrooms were the only thing, but you have to consider that this building is very old and that adds to its attraction as a romantic place to stay.

Cons: Parking was open air and the car had a dirty and the wind screen was water spotted when returned. At the cost per day the least you could have done was clean widows if the only place to park is outside.

Cons: You can see the age of the hotel in the rooms! The bathroom was extremely small but usefull. The valet it's on the expensive side!!

Cons: We didn't get a room in the old, original, historic section. Our room was outdated and in need of renovation.

Cons: 1) I booked from a third party site which doesn't confirm you get the room you chose, it only holds a room (they don't say what kind) for you. 2) There is $40 parking that they don't tell you about (prob best to park across the street and walk). 3) there is no complimentary breakfast. Plates start at $12 a person (McDonald's is literally right around the corner). 4) the staff wasn't helpful when I asked about the room issue and why I got a diff one than I signed up for, they were more ready to give sarcasm then actually helping.5) the rooms were clean but there were still stains on the faucet and tub that looked greasy.

Cons: The room and bathroom were very small. There was also a very strong scent of perfume that was overwhelming when you walked into the hotel. We noticed it every time we came into the hotel during our stay. It was almost nauseating. Parking was expensive. It was the week of Thanksgiving and the front desk seemed to be severely understaffed.

Cons: Room was a bit musty. Breakfast was not as we expected. Ran out of some of the items and some of the hot items were cold. Fairly disappointed for the amount we paid for the breakfast buffet.

We will never stay there again! Plus I had to park my F250 across the street because my stock pick up wouldn’t fit in the parking garage! Really

Cons: I did not like that you had to pay for parking. Your paying a price you would think that that would be included. Also there was no mini fridge in the room for food.

Cons: The room felt like it needed to be steam cleaned with bleach... The room appeared to be updated sometime in the early 2000. But has not been maintained well. The bed was as hard as the floor. The shower head was loose and the bathroom smelled of old urine. We ordered Breakfast to our room the first morning. The breakfast was good and when we where ready to leave for the day I called to let the staff know so they could come up and clean our room. We where gone the entire day and come back to the same mess we left that morning... At 250 a night plus 30 a night valet parking This should have never happened. That night I went to drink a water bottle the staff provides for you in the room and there was no seal on the lid on either bottle. The cleaning person didn't even bother to change our water bottles. just filled them up with tap water and called it a day. If you are looking for a clean room with basic hotel services I would look past this place!!

Cons: The building is old and the rooms show it. My first night there was a some fan, or machinery noise that made it impossible to sleep. I was able to switch rooms that night which was nice. One morning I had no hot water. The staff listened, but didn't seem concerned about it. I only had one breakfast at the hotel restaurant, but it was quite underwhelming and definitely not worth paying for.

Cons: He AC worked but never properly cooled the room. I was uncomfortable my stay.

Cons: I thought the valet was overpriced and they should at least allow one free parking per reservation

Cons: No microwave in rooms or fridge.

Cons: Parking was difficult. I wish the stay came with parking instead of having to use valet. I had to pay for valet and to park right outside each day as I have to have quick access to my car. Although it was a nice hotel, I won't be staying here again.

Cons: Outdated hotel facility and Kayak's incorrectly rated hotel stars do not match the overpriced money for my stay.
