Location is the best in town on the main square just opposite the Alamo. Everything is within walking distance, including he Riverwalk with all its restaurants and bars. The room flet slightly dated, but any slight invonvenience is fully compensated by the warm welcome, helpful staff and top-notch location.

The Menger Hotel is part of the Historical Hotels of America.. as such it's a nice old Hotel with a lot of charm and character. Be aware that apparently Breakfast is no longer a perk included within the room rate.. 25$+tx extra for each breakfast taken at the dinning room. The courts with the pool and garden are a nice option, since it's fully enclosed and very well isolated from the city noise. T...

Full size beds. Even a flea bag hotel will have a queen in it.

Very good

Anonymous, Jan 2019

Pros (+) Great location downtown, close to riverwalk, right across the street from the Alamo.

Cons (-) No ventilation in the room, so bring a small portable fan. Events in the plaza across the street (protesters, musicians) can be quite loud and go on late into the evening. The card/lock system for the room often malfunctioned and wouldn’t let us in.

Pros (+) I like the over all feel for the hotel.

Cons (-) The size of the room. But looked at the other rooms and i guess for a bit more you gst more space.

Good

Anonymous, Jan 2017

Pros (+) The hotel's location can't be beat: a block away from the Alamo, a couple blocks away from the convention center, and right next to a shopping mall with a wide variety of restaurants and stores. The staff was very friendly.

Cons (-) The room worked for what I needed, but it could have been better. The bathroom was small and was, for some reason, built 6-8 inches higher than the rest of the room. You could hear everything through the walls.

Pros (+) I stay here often and I have tried other places it's so luxurious for the money and the location is in the middle of everything!
