8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location is great, the owner (manager?) was very nice and helpful). Breakfast downstairs was convenient and very good for a continental breakfast.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location; enjoyed the view from our windows
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location was great as it was near the train station. The staff was very accommodating.
Cons: I wish there was a lift as we stayed at the 3rd floor, and had to hand carry our luggage. However, when we booked this hotel, we knew that it had none, so I really am not complaining.
7.5 Good
Pros: Querky hotel that we loved the location and being in room 8 had a special view of the Palais de Justice. Enjoyed the atmosphere of breakfast and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Warning - the stairs are not for the aged!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room was tastefully done, clean and daily service excellent. The restaurant was very good as well. And location superb!!
Cons: The stairs, no lift, was a challenging especially with luggage.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly people and we liked the view and it was clean.
Cons: A bit small but adequate.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a gem of a hotel. Awesome!
8.3 Excellent
Cons: The plumbing. The bath took ten minutes to drain
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location. Staff were very friendly. Views to die for.
Cons: Beautiful location if though a little difficult to get too
5.7 Okay
Pros: Very very good location. I studied there and I know what a good location in Rouen is. From our room we had a view to Palace Justice. 10 minute walk from train station and walking distance to any sightseeing in Rouen. Room was nice and clean. I will definitely stay there again and would recommend to others with limited budget.
Cons: No elevators. Reception desk doesn’t works 7/24, though it was not a problem for us.
5.3 Okay
Pros: The location is fantastic - right in the middle of the historic city centre and opposite the stunning Court of Justice, one of the most beautiful late medieval structures anywhere. The hotel building, from the same period, is quaint and charming. As things go in France, the breakfast was above average.
Cons: The wifi did not work properly (save in the staircase, not the most convenient of options...) and the room furniture was very flimsy indeed and certainly not 'design', as rather boldly stated. No staff on location on a Sunday night - all I got was a room key, in sharp contrast with the services mentioned on the web.
6.3 Good
Pros: Very well placed in the center of the old town, behind Palace de Justice, a short walk from Cathedral and metro stop. Clean modern room in a nice old building. Very good price.
Cons: Rooms at second, third and fourth floor without elevator and narrow staircase. Good only for people travelling light. No reception when the bar below is closed. No WiFi in my room even if a router was in the corridor, but good in the bar. Some small maintenance problems
Ermitage Bouquet - Rouen - Building

8.8 Excellent (115 reviews)
₹ 4,963+
7.5 Good
Pros: Could contact owners easily for extra soap and tea bags. Location very good in older part of Rouen. Space to spread out a bit. Generally a comfortable apartment and well supplied with fridge, microwave and tv. Quiet and safe.
Cons: It is an unseviced apartment so towels and tea towel were left for our 6 day stay. Pull out bed uncomfortable.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Phillippe met us on arrival, he gave us an excellent debriefing( best host we had on our entire trip) on the accommodation and also layout of the town. Where to go to get food and places of interest. We messed up arrival and departure dates and Phillippe went above and beyond to accommodate us on such short notice.
Cons: Very narrow vehicle entrance to property for our car.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Our host, Philippe was very welcoming indeed. He gave us heaps of local info about what to see and how to get around in this impressive City. Good location. Useful kitchen area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, great spacious studio apartment. We have 3 children, one of the double beds was enormous so we all had a comfortable sleep. Excellent location for walking into and around Rouen.
Cons: Roadworks meant we had to park at the train station, which was a little bit of a faff but not a deal breaker.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room and kitchen werd very good. Nice shower. Good location. Parking included.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was really nice and helpful explaining clearly about what to do in Rouen and around. A studio room with fully-equipped kitchen in the corner suited our needs. Rouen is a lovely place to visit.
Cons: It was not far from the city centre at all but need to climb a bit up on the hill.
7.9 Good
Pros: The property was clean and Phillipe welcomed us with lots of information about Rouen activities that we really enjoyed. It was small but nicely decorated especially the kitchen.
Cons: The bed was uncomfortable and it is a walk uphill from the train station
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The size of the room was okay, better than expected. Phillipe takes time to talk with you, he really wants to tell about Rouen. Good coffee on the room and very big towles in the shower. Philippe really is a good host! Thank you Philippe!
Cons: It's not a big problem, but we've booked this place for parking at the facility. After booking and confirmation was the story that parking at this time was not possible because the main road is under construction. Philippe however arranged free parking at the station, a 3-4 minute walk from the facility, that was great! A temporarily problem, but still it would have been better if we knew this from the start.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It's not a hotel room, it's a studio with kitchen and a bathroom. Our host Philippe welcomed us very friendly, he gave us a virtual guide through the city, pointing the interesting places on the map. The car was parked behind the building; very safe. We only stayed 2 nights, we could have stayed longer.
Cons: Walking back from the city is a bit of a climb, we're Dutch, not used to climbing. But there's a bus driving through the street, so you don't have to climb if you don't want to.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location and the overall decor and cleanliness of the hotel. Peaceful location. Helpful and efficient reception staff.
Cons: A restaurant for dinner would be good even though lots of choice in Rouen. More storage needed in bedroom, drawers etc.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Well located in the historic city centre, very close to the old market and the Horloge and cathedral. Set back in a courtyard.
Cons: Not the property’s fault, but the location within a pedestrianised area meant taxi services are erratic ! Our pick up never arrived so we walked to the station.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent central location. Modern decor. Helpful staff.
Cons: Parking underground via a car lift. The room which did not have air conditioning was hot at night (mid-summer)
7.9 Good
Pros: Nice hotel right in the center with parking.
7.9 Good
Pros: Central location very comfortable
Cons: Breakfast buffet had everything but you had to search and actual food area was too small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very helpful. The hotel was clean, beds were soft, breakfast was very good.
Cons: We rented a car and the roads were a little tricky. But that’s not the hotels fault it’s a very old city not meant for cars.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean modern and very convenient for city centre.
Cons: Car parking very difficult.... you need to be a confident driver, ideally with a smallish car to use the underground hotel car park, accessed by driving the car into a lift and backing out into a cramped car park.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Position & hotel itself
7.5 Good
Pros: Pleasant welcoming staff, good selection at breakfast and great location. Very comfortable beds and windows that open onto quiet back area.
Cons: Very thin bedroom walls - lots of doors banging this morning around 7.00am- they don’t seem to use soft closure equipment in France. But otherwise a pleasant overnight stop.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: 24 hour food menu! Hotel staff are very friendly. Very spacious room and lots of space in a suite cheap 3 level underground parking. Location is walking distance from downtown and Gros Horloge. Very good value for money.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was good - room , location, reception desk . Dog friendly. Can't comment on food as did not eat in hotel. Receptionist gave us a map and showed us location of several excellent restaurants and bars. Also helped us book hotel for next night in calais- couldn't find anything on usual websites.
Cons: Sinage for parking too small didn't see and drove past. Then had to drive around city again not ideal when visiting a foreign country.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Very little really. Probably the fact that there's a car park on-site. That's the only thing I can think of.
Cons: How dated and tired looking the entire building was. And the room itself was very mouldy and dirty and smelt of damp. The floor was never properly vacuumed as my feet were covered in dust and dirt when I entered the shower, the water turned brown as soon as water hit my feet! The balcony room we were given was completely filthy with dirt covering every inch of the surface. They placed two broken chairs there for what reason I have no idea. And the sliding doors were broken as well so it was a security issue for me as I couldn't lock the doors at all, despite the hotel manager reassured me it's not a problem. Would never return to it, the photos were terribly deceiving. This place needs a good scrub and facelift to survive in the hotel business 2019!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location very good for city & restaurant. Secure underground parking and specific area to lock bikes. Room exactly what you expect from Ibis, breakfast good.
Cons: It’s very easy to miss the entrance to the hotel, as it’s a right turn immediately after the first set of traffic lights you encounter In Rouen. Not the hotels fault, but worth knowing
7.5 Good
Pros: The shower
Cons: The view
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location. Excellent breakfast and facilities, Staff very friendly and helpful.Bright and cheerful décor. Great secure parking
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Really value for money. Really friendly stuff, very helpful. Nice clean room. Walking distance to the old Town. Not the best hotel breakfast I 've ever eaten but everything is tasty and much of it locally produced. We would happily return.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: For me the location was ideal as it was near to where I wanted to be, it is actually about a 15- 20 minute walk to the centre more or less. It is a clean, comfortable and functional hotel, the parking is a big plus. Nice breakfast but not amazing
Cons: The hotel is off quite a busy street and you can hear the traffic with the window closed. (first floor room)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was really friendly! The appart is well-equipped, very comfortable bed. We got everything we needed. The shower was also very nice, Great location, as we could easily go to the city centre by walk.
Cons: The entrance of the underground garage was not nicely made. Even we moved slowly at 3-5km/h, our car base has scrached the ground.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good size room, helpful staff, good restaurant in adjoining hotel

8.8 Excellent
Pros: 5 min walk from the station, quiet location in the city. Staff were friendly and helpful.
7.1 Good
Pros: Staff accommodating and very pleasant.
Cons: Too far from the main attractions. Plus side - near the train.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The structure is in a very quiet street just 5 minutes from the center of the town. The staff was pleasant and really available to get every information and tips about the town. Parking available near the stracture on payment.
7.9 Good
Pros: I didn’t like anything especially, everything was ok, not very good, but nothing wrong with the place. I would like to point out the terrace i had (by luck since the only terrace they had was attached to the jaguar room) since it really was relaxing and much appropriated for me as a smoker. The breakfast was light and fresh, but could be better (no ham and eggs). The staff of the hotel was very kind.
Cons: Nothing particularly, everything was ok. The room was really small, but the terrace made it look bigger.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast - croissants were delicious!
Cons: Everything was great - perhaps a bigger fan in the family room in the roof - but it was 40C the day we stayed (exceptionally hot for France) and I would imagine it is normally a very pleasant room to stay in
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great value for money. Basic but ideal for a one night stop over on long journey south. Easy wall to centre of Rouen. we had two double beds in the room and the room was light and we could open windows.
Cons: It was very basic...but that's what we paid for so.... Parking is on the road and you have to find a space,,,,,no charge for street parking between 7pm and 9am. Only wish we had had time for breakfast. Receptionist spoke English
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely atmosphere
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, good car park , nice courtyard pleasant room. We will come again
Cons: No advance warning that the roads in the area were being dug up and we had to access the hotel the wrong way down a one way street
Hôtel de l'Europe - Rouen - Building

Overview Reviews
A stay at Hôtel de l'Europe places you in the heart of Rouen, within a 10-minute walk of Rouen Cathedral and Rue du Gros-Horloge. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Only the two receptionists were nice and polite.
Cons: The director is absolutely not flexible and is rude. He refused to cancel our reservation made by mistake after only 5min. No negotiation possible. No way to talk to him directly. He ruined our stay in Rouen. No AC in the rooms for a 3stars... such a shame.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Approach of hotel staff. Excellent. Advising, helping with arrangement of local transport, recommending nice places for dinner.
7.5 Good
Pros: I love how warm and approachable the staff was. The scrambled eggs was really yummy, and the collection of tea was very impressive. It was lovely having Netflix on the TV as well. Thank you!
Cons: I didn’t like that it was too warm in the room at night, and I couldn’t leave the windows open ajar, but had to leave it open all the way to get some air in.
6.7 Good
Pros: Location was great
Cons: While The location is very good, very close to the centre, there is no air conditioning and as the temperature was very high, there was a heat wave, we called reception to ask for a fan, to be told "no". I really think fans should be available in the rooms in the summer. We spent a very uncomfortable night, and hardly slept, as we left the windows open for air, which there wasn't really, and when we did manage to nod off, were woken by people and scooters etc passing outside. A fan in our room would've made a huge difference. They should invest!
7.9 Good
Cons: Room over hot. No way to cool it down Breakfast very poor.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great bed very comfortable and good size shower
Cons: No kettle or tea/coffee
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff are great, very helpful and friendly. There is secure underground parking very close for €16 for 24hrs. The hotel is in a super location for the main sites too. All within easy walking distance.
Cons: €7 for two tiny bottles of water is a real rip off. They're €0.50 in the shop up the road (closed, hence we had to buy in the hotel) The hotel could use a lick of paint here and there. It's looking a bit tired.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: George the owner was very helpful in advising on places to see and restaurants. When we had some trouble with our rental car he researched and offered a solution.
Cons: Central location but noisy at night and early morning with traffic and construction.
9.2 Excellent
Cons: The hotel needs renovation - everything is a bit tired.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent for exploring the Old Town. It was easy to find walking from the station with luggage - all down hill. On the return, we took a taxi because it was only a five minute drive, but well worth it with luggage. There were two pillow options! This was lovely because all of the hotels I stayed at prior had given me a headache, due to being too tall, firm and uncomfortable.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: We made the booking last minute on the way back to Calais. It was really cheap so we weren’t expecting much. The gentleman running the hotel stayed late to welcome us, squeezed us in to their car park (At a charge of €9.50 per day) and stored the cases we didn’t need to use so that we didn’t have to lug them up the stairs. His customer service was brilliant! The rooms were spotlessly clean and the location is great for the old town, in fact we had a view of the cathedral from our balcony.
Cons: The hotel is pretty basic but we weren’t expecting the Ritz for £65 per night!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location--5 minutes from Cathedral and from busy restaurant area near Saint Maclou Church. The managers were very friendly and helpful, including holding our luggage and requesting a taxi.
Cons: Nothing!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Pleasant staff. Safe parking.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfasts were delicious! Croissants and baguettes very fresh!

Pros: The location was very nice, very close to the city center. The breakfast was ok, a little basic.

D-House Rouen - Rouen - Building

8.9 Excellent (13 reviews)
₹ 9,501+
Overview Reviews
Located in Rouen (Rouen City Centre), this apartment is within a 5-minute walk of Rouen Cathedral and Church of Saint-Maclou. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access and multilingual staff. Limited parking is available onsite.
7.5 Good
Pros: Communication was good despite the owner being abroad. The location is perfect, right in the centre of this stunning city, in between two cathedrals.
Cons: The first photo on booking.com is misleading; it led me to think there was a sofa bed in the living room as well. The check-in process happened a bit in a hurry. There was quite a narrow timeframe (which is hard to estimate when you're on holiday) and we were a bit late because parking turned out to be a bit difficult with all the one-way streets. You have to supply a credit card and sign a form, in case you damage anything or didn't clean the apartment properly. Because of the hurry I didn't really know what I signed and what amount we were talking about to be reserved, so later on I felt quite bad about that cause it felt somewhat shady. It turned out to be fine though. I had already read in reviews that you have to clean the apartment yourself when you leave. There is a lack of instructions on this however, it was all quite vague to me.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely decor and fab location
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was great The apartment was absolutely gorgeous The bathroom was a good size and super clean The host was very accommodating in meeting us to gain entry to the apartment and in our check out time which we really appreciated.
Cons: For the price of the apartment at £145 for one night we didn't expect to have to make up our own bed with sheets and covers and then be told to make sure we stripped it before leaving and clean up. Shower gel, shampoo or even just soap in the bathroom would have been useful - as it was an apartment we were expecting it to have everything we needed for a quick stay. There was a fabulous coffee machine in the kitchen but no coffee or any basics that you'd expect for the price really.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant position in Rouen eclectic lovely apartment v comfortable and quit at night surprisingly. Great welcome from the owners brother,
Cons: Nothing all good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very close to all the sites that we wanted to see
Cons: Nothing

7.5 Good
Pros: Very accommodating of dogs. Rooms very clean and beds comfortable. Good bathroom facilities
Cons: 2 metre height restriction on the secure hotel car park which was not in the hotel details about parking and we had a roof boot. Had to park on a public car park nearby.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Executive suite was great - spacious, luxurious and well-equipped.
Cons: I found the colours a little bright in the room - some more muted tones are my preference.
7.4 Good
Pros: It was right for 4 adults but generally acceptablr
Cons: There are openings in the swinging doors to the shower area that created a problem with privacy. We had two teenage girls and two men.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location for traveling by car - close to highway and meantime close to the city center. Helpful staff, big room. I like that the bathroom and toilet are separate. I think it's great for a couple or for a couple with a child.
Cons: You should be ready for a little noise at night - the road is very close.
7.5 Good
Pros: Close to the walkway along the river towards town (20 min walk to the cathedral) Comfy beds and clean, spacious room Nice staff at breakfast and friendly cleaning staff Very good sound-proofing (unless you opened the window!) Handy underground parking but height limit is 1m85cm NOT the 2m that is indicated...we made it with 1cm to spare!
Cons: The windows were very good at sound-proofing the room, however the road at the front was very busy so you couldn't actually open the window because the noise was unbearable with the window open
6.7 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good, but cost E16 per adult. On top of a fairly expensive room we felt this was a lot. Parking in their car park was a further E12 if used. Convenient for city and for riverside restaurants.
Cons: The toilet was like one on an airplane or boat, a tiny pod in which you could not move! All very impersonal and we would not use again.
6.3 Good
Pros: the rooms were a great size and very comfortable.
Cons: The breakfast which was very expensive, the hot breakfast was lacking in options (sausage, beans and eggs only) which were cold and it was impossible to boil an egg in tepid water, the food was not of good quality.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location near seafront was excellent
Cons: Room near road that was busy until 2am
4.2 Okay
Cons: Room was hot, smelly and dirty. I’m fairly sure that there were bugs in the bed. I was up all night itching. V disappointed with the room and the value for money
3.1 Mediocre
Pros: Very little. This is only slightly above IBIS in quality and had several of the same design items in the rooms as IBIS Budget.
Cons: The profile says "parking" - in reality the hotel only has 20 spaces, and those are almost always full we were told. The counter staff told us and the next three customers who showed up while we were checking in "find your own space on the street" -- which in Rouen is both very hard, and far to likely to have your morning start with a new dent in the car. The room we were given was 1/2 the size of the photo. Really amazing how it looked sort of the same layout...but was so cramped we couldn't move around. The bed's weren't the same size as in the profile. When we showed the counter manager the photo and description differences with the promised room and the reality, the response was "I don't write what is on the websites, so can't help you." Very much a vacation fail.
9.6 Excellent
Cons: Breakfast was not very well staffed and there weren’t enough plates and cutlery. The buffet was not fully stocked until we had finished.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The staff were wonderful and welcoming.
Cons: The hotel was clean, but was looking dated and the rooms were a strange decor that did not make it welcoming. Also dogs are welcome in the hotel, or seem to be and could smell dog, which as a dog owner is not a massive issue, but could be for others. The breakfast was poor and the hot food especially poor and cold. The breakfast area was too small for the amount of people staying. The hotel is supposed to be four star and is way overpriced and have stayed in two star hotels that are far superior.

Cons: Huge spider in the bathroom, tiny shower and bed; staff doesn’t speak English and there is nothing around! Definitely not going back there. Too expensive for just accommodation!

Pros: Very warm welcome
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Clean, welcoming, great for an overnight stay. Nice rural location. Food was very good.
Cons: Nothing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The place is 10 km outside Rouen in very quiet village. You definitely get proper night sleep. It was also ok for it's value. The bathroom was renovated and very clean. They also dog friendly, we could stay with our puppy for additional 10EUR supplement, which was fine. Also room had nice terrace with garden view. Also there was car parking available in front of the hotel (free).
Cons: The hotel doesn't have the elevator or if it does we were not informed on it and couldn't find it. Check-in process a bit quick and except receiving keys we didn't have much interaction with staff. Same at check-out. The hotel and room (except bathrooms) is a bit outdated (like 90's style) and looks a bit worn. Also the room was cold and there was no option to use heating system (it's really old and didn't function). It's ok for one night stand but wouldn't recommend it for longer more comfortable stay.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location, especially if you have a dog that needs walking, with friendly ands helpful staff.
Cons: Nothing

Guests are invited to enjoy afternoon tea in a room leading onto the patio. Secure and paid public parking is available nearby. The Rouen-Rive-Droite Train Station is located just 1.6 km from the hotel and the Church of St. Ouen is a 5-minute walk away.
7.9 Good
Pros: The location was perfect for seeing the cathedral and other sites of interest, right in the heart of the old part of town yet set back somewhat from the hustle and bustle. We did not take breakfast so unable to comment on that.
Cons: One difficulty for us was the parking. It was very busy and we had to park in a public underground carpark a little distance away. This would normally be ok but we were only staying one night and had a car packed with stuff for the rest of the holiday.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: There is a nice interior courtyard in this old restored hotel. It is easy walking distance to many places to eat and to the cathedral. No parking, but there is a public lot about three blocks away.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location and historic value, right next to the cathedral and in the city centre, plenty of restaurants and shops
Cons: In need of refurbishment, the place is meant to be rustic but carpets and other fitments are very tired
6.7 Good
Pros: Central location for the cathedral
Cons: Bit noisy at night due to location and very overpriced as decor everywhere was a bit shabby. Only teabags in the room were green mint.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A charming boutique hotel in a building from the mid-1500s. It has a beautiful garden sitting area. And the location was in the heart of the old town part of Rouen, close to the Cathedral Notre Dame. If you like period hotels and want to stay in a half-timbered building than this is the place for your!
Cons: We did not like being on the 4th floor with no elevator. It was hard to manage our suitcases on all of the flights of stairs.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful position next to the city center
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and romantic
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very central, walk outside to face the cathedral, lovely place full of charm with the added bonus of a friendly cat
Cons: Nothing place was perfect
9.1 Excellent
Pros: This place is very quaint. It is in a great location next to the cathedral and is clean and comfortable despite being obviously very old (and by that I don't mean worn down - I mean that you can tell the building has been there forever but it is well taken care of). There is a nice court yard/patio with a very friendly cat and a nice breakfast. Would stay there again 100%
Cons: The key system is a little old, other than that, everything is great!

7.9 Good
Pros: Good value breakfast. Great hot showers!
7.5 Good
Pros: Likes the family room with mezzanine floor
Cons: Noisy fan and innefficient air conditioning
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast is self service and basic. Simple option to fill up and be on the move pretty quickly....most people seemed to be on a one night stop over travelling from England to areas further south in France. May be different clientele if there is a major event at the nearby conference/ exhibition centre.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good easy location for a stop over. Ask for the access code when you book it so that you can get in to the car park. Automated system worked fine - no probs. We didn't arrive until 5am due to being stuck in a big accident on the motorway but this was fine and we took full advantage of their 12 noon check out time before getting back on the road. All good.

7.9 Good
Pros: The hotel was situated at a very convenient location very near Rouen's historic centre, only 10' on foot. The room was quite comfortable & the bed very good. The bathroom was comfortable as well.
Cons: The bathroom was not that clean & there was only one big towel for each person.

The Hotel ibis Rouen Centre Rive Gauche St Sever offers 80 air-conditioned rooms with free WIFI and is located right by St Sever metro station, 0.6 miles (1 km) from the center of Rouen and close to the SNCF Rouen Centre train station. It is ideal for business travel or vacations as its location provides easy access to Rouen's main tourist attractions: the Armada, Kindarena sports complex, Île Lacroix ice rink, St Sever shopping mall, the exhibition center, the Zénith arena and the impressionist museums.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff always friendly nothings too much trouble, beds are comfortable and pillows are of good quality, there’s a desk and a chair which a lot of hotels these days don’t have. On Suite clean, lighting good plus a hairdryer. Good restaurants close by. Private secure parking worth 7 euros for peace of mind.
Cons: We’ve stayed at this hotel lots of times when travelling back to U.K. on all the different floors with no problems, this time although the room was comfortable it had a sloping ceiling which my husband kept hitting his head getting in and out of bed so no more 4th floor for us!
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast was really good fresh and really varied loved the DIY egg boiling facility so you could get them just how you like them.
Cons: Parking was tricky as our vehicle was too big to get into the under ground car park due to our roof box, road parking almost none existent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy beds, helpful staff, convenient location,
5.0 Okay
Pros: Place is fine, all the rest is ok.
Cons: Disorganized staff left me and my 4yo daughter without a room after leaving 9ma and coming back at 22h30. Also, after they said they didn't have a room (leaving us on the street, basically), I said I wanted to call the police, and got a nice answer , and I quote: "at least there you will have where to spend the night", by the great receptionist called Sebastien, on Sunday the 11th August 2019. After much discussion, he magically found a room...
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good, friendly personnel
Cons: Airco was not as cold as hoped for.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Easy parking. Near the tram into centre of Rouen.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed0
6.3 Good
Cons: Currently, access is almost impossible due to road closures connected to the tram works. We had booked a night for our return journey, we are now looking for an alternative.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The hotel is within walking distance to town centre, located in a quiet area. It is by a main road but it is not noisy at all and it makes access to and from the hotel very easy if you are driving. There's a retail park across the main road with a cinema and shops.
Cons: The rooms are of average quality and therefore a little bit overpriced. Our room looked dated and the bed was uncomfortable. Also breakfast was not included.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, great breakfast and very quiet.
Cons: Access restricted by road due to road works right outside, which isn't the fault of Ibis but... poor signage caused us to have difficulty reaching hotel.

Overview Reviews
Hôtel 1er Consul Rouen is in the heart of Rouen, within a 10-minute walk of Hotel de Ville and Rouen Cathedral. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and an elevator (lift).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect for local vieille ville, cathedral, cafes, museums etc. On the main street, but parking was easy there. The decor was great as a kind of fun trip back to the Bonaparte era. The staff were mostly very nice and helpful. The room had kettle, tea/coffee.
Cons: Nothing really, except a small fridge would have been useful.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Centrally located. Easy to find. Not too expensive.
Cons: The room had a really bad smell of some chemical. I guess they recently refurbished the whole thing and it was a smell of paint or glue, but opening the windows didn't help much.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Great reception upon arrival, Location and that's all it has to offer
Cons: Hallways are dark and a bit damp smelling, everything closes at 8pm so no bar, food or anything else . Our room No 42 was adequate and reasonably decorated but noisy from the street ! No air con on a hot day but that's our fault for not looking properly. Wouldn't stay there again.
7.1 Good
Pros: The location, just round the corner from the old gothic Catholic church was excellent. The town centre and Notre Dame were close by as well. Tiny room but large comfortable bed.
Cons: We were allocated an inside room that looked into a tiny courtyard that was about the dimensions of a lift shaft. The window of our next door neighbours was within touching distance and one of the residents, a woman, was loud and talkative making it a compromise to open our window in the stifling heat.
6.7 Good
Pros: Great location to explore the old section of the city.
7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel has an interesting decoration
6.3 Good
Pros: Location of the hotel is perfect for exploring Rouen and secure parking a 2 min walk away. The reception staff were helpful and friendly. The bed linen was clean and comfortable. The shower although dated and worn worked well and the mirror was big and well lit. The room appeared to be clean.
Cons: The decor was dark, dated and tatty with Napoleon as the theme apparently. We booked a double and triple room. The double room was decorated in what can only be described as padded cell wall paper which was peeling off in several places. The paint in the balcony was peeling and the table lamp didn’t work. The bed was listed as a double bed but was actually 2 singles pushed together, although it was comfortable. The triple room bathroom had mould around the shower and the toilet did not flush and had to be initially manually filled with water. Again the bed linen was comfortable as were the beds.
7.1 Good
Pros: Located close to the city center, room was clean, big and with good facilities.
Cons: All other services as car park, breakfast and so on are for fee.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: It was filthy. We stayed here a number of years ago and were looking forward to a return trip - not sure it’s been cleaned in between! - Carpet in communal area and lift was threadbare and stained. - Bathroom covered in mould. - Bath/shower/sink plug holes full off past guests hair/soap etc. - Fridge full of unidentifiable objects. - General unpleasant smell. We checked out after one night although they changed us for all nights, on reflection we should never have checked in. We found alternative accommodation for the rest of trip, which was in a better location, very clean and with very friendly/helpful staff. DO NOT STAY HERE.
7.5 Good
Pros: +: Nice extra breakfast for 11 euros Great position just 7 mins walking from Notre Dame Easy parking nearby at a garage for 6/7 euros per night -: Shower wasn't very comfortable Facilities close at 8pm and from that time on it's not possible to use common areas

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
7.1 Good
Pros: The hotel is in a central location in a pedestrianized zone, some 2-300m from where Joan of Arc was burnt. It was built as a hotel some 200years ago. Our room was fully modernised with excellent aircon, and lots of space. The breakfast buffet was exemplary.
Cons: The GPS couldn't find the hotel. We used a car park while searching on foot for the hotel, which turned out to be closer to the entrance than the hotel's own parking. The entrance to our room was from a court yard through a turret with seriously worn steps. An open yard had to be crossed in all weathers to enter the hotel. The windows of the room were at street level; pedestrians could look into both the room and bathroom.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building, lovely rooms and facilities.
Cons: Trying to park ! Very difficult to get to hotel - had to phone to get help.
7.1 Good
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful, bringing water for our dog. The beds were very comfortable and the spa and pool area lovely.
Cons: The air conditioning in our room made a terrible screechy noise. In my sons room the air conditioning went off half way through the night and he couldn’t get it to work after that. Couldn’t open windows, so room was very hot. Disappointed that receptionist didn’t know if we could take dog into breakfast with us and didn’t offer to find out.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel is ideally located in the centre of town with restaurants, café & sites all on its door step. The hotel is a lovely historic building, but modern inside with all the facilities and comfort you would expect.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was beautiful, the Bed was very comfy and the room silent and dark for a great night's sleep. Lovely bathroom too. The pool and bar area were both beautiful and we very much enjoyed spending time in both. The hotel is a stunning building in a fantastic location. The cocktails were a little pricey in the hotel bar but with such a fantastic pianist playing and such gorgeous surroundings, it's a price worth paying. One of our favourite ever hotel experiences. We loved Rouen and will definitely be coming back to this hotel.
Cons: Nothing, everything was fantastic.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Would like to stay again and maybe try a room with a view
Cons: The orange juice was not freshly squeezed
7.5 Good
Pros: Traditional old building
Cons: Small narrow stairs to go with a suitcase.

Pros: Very polite staff, elegant lobby with a stylish bar in the heart of Rouen. We will come back !

It is close to a number of major tourist sites: the Historial Jeanne d'Arc, the Beaux Arts museum and even Panorama XXL, a unique location in France.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff was perfect! Helpful and very kind. Great location in the city center. Parking quite small though. Very good for one night stay.
Cons: We waited more from breakfast, honestly. Coffee only from the hot pot or espresso, no Cappuccino at all. It's a bit noisy at night outside but you can ask for other room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable, quiet room. Modern vibe for a hotel in historic district. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel has breakfast available for a fee. Lots of restaurants and boulangeries available nearby. Great location to walk to the cathedral and historic clock. Hotel has small parking lot in an underground lot.
Cons: Parking lot was very tight with sharp 90 degree turns in small space. The keypad was at the top of a incline to exit lot. It took us 30 minutes to maneuver and get our rental car out of the lot on exit without scratching or denting the car. City center has bollard posts to enter center that require either a code or to pull up very close to retract the bollard.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice for a great price. Location of the hotel is amazing, in the middle of the center. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking in the hotel garage was very convenient.
Cons: The mattress was quite hard, it wasn’t that comfortable for us (but then we like it a bit more soft) Our room was a little dark, but preferred over our original bright room on top floor (with pigeons sitting just outside our window)
7.5 Good
Pros: Location ok Price ok
Cons: No kettle, tea or coffee
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location in the center of Rouen, very close to Cathedrale. The ideal place to discover the city.
Cons: My luggage was delayed by Air France and had been delivered to the hotel, but the staff told me that after a big pause when I asked repeatedly.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, and facilities - great value.
Cons: Everything was good - no complaints about anything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great for all we wanted to see.
Cons: Parking in the deck would be a challenge if you had a larger vehicle.
7.1 Good
Pros: Very good location once you had found hotel
Cons: Worst hotel ever to get to with barriers around the city. We had been give a code to use barrier but hadn't been told how many barriers there were in the city and therefore we arrived at one that didn't have a keypad so I pressed the help button but couldn't speak enough French to get help, we held up the whole city center traffic. After 2 hours of driving around we just parked in another car park and used google maps to walk to hotel. As we were only staying one night we didn't have anytime left to explore. We will return to Rouen but find a hotel easier to get to.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great, good selection for breakfast.
Cons: The bed was too hard & it would be nice to have ceramic cups for the tea & coffee in the room rather than paper.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location with parking. Clean, quiet rooms properly equipped. Good WiFi.
Cons: There’s nothing not to like.

Pros: Nice location , nice courtyard, old and charming building

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good location : only a short walk to the old centre of town. Breakfast excellent, if a little expensive. Bar and main dining room menus good and food quality & service highly commendable.
Cons: Parking charges are on the dearer side, though the facility is excellent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel in a handy part of the city for people that are passing through. Really good value for money, rooms were pleasant, lovely staff and easy to get in/ out of the city easily. We didn’t have the breakfast but wish we had!
4.6 Okay
Pros: Clean rooms Nice breakfast Pleasant staff
Cons: Poor location - on one way system very difficult to get in and out Surrounding streets dirty (not hotels fault obviously) Car park very expensive- around 12 Euros / day. Should be free or at least discounted for staying guests Would not stay here again or visit Rouen again - not enough to do. Dirty streets apart from the few main tourist areas
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We stayed for two nights in a privilege room. It was quiet, spacious and well appointed; everything worked. The staff were welcoming and efficient. We ate in the restaurant which offers a comparatively limited choice. But what we ate was good, well prepared and well presented. Breakfast offered plenty of fresh seasonal fruit alongside all the other breakfast choices.
Cons: Not the hotels fault at all but we had allowed Monday to see the old town. Only to find just about everything is closed Monday; even the cathedral didn’t open till 2 pm. Restaurant choice was also limited by Monday closures.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. We received a free room upgrade and the location was great.
Cons: The underground car park is small and dark so be prepared
7.5 Good
Pros: Location was very convenient for the city centre and nearby restaurants. The room, though basic was comfortable.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were really friendly and helpful. The location was great and the ability to use the sauna and steam room when it suited us was great. Great food in the restaurant. The parking was also very reasonably priced.
Cons: Was a little noisy the second night we stayed, could hear people above us and next to us very clearly.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were friendly. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was clean. The hotel has its own parking (although the entrance was quite small for big cars.)
Cons: The hotel was not in a pretty part of town although it was in a walking distance from Old Town. I didn't feel safe walking on the riverside towards the hotel in the evening on my own. There was no safe or fridge in the room and no shower cap in the bathroom. The bath tub was quite small but it wasn't a big problem.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed. Great location
6.7 Good
Pros: Friendly staff, Good location
Cons: The hotel could have communicated better that there is parking onsite, even if it's not free. We ended up going to a parking next door, thinking it was the available parking, and paying for that before moving to the hotel car park. There was a machine in the room, making a funny smell. I think it might have been a dehumidifier, but there was no explanation of what it was and it was very loud when trying to get to sleep as it kept stopping and starting No safe in the room, which I would have expected.
