Pros: I am picky and spoiled when it comes to hotels. I stayed in an executive room for three nights here and it exceeded my expectations and rivaled some of the most luxurious, expensive hotel rooms I have stay in -- and at a small fraction of the price!! The hotel is a short walk to everything, a train station is less than a block away, and a tram runs right out the front door. When you first enter the hotel, the lobby is deceiving because it is small, worn and, dated. Enter you room and wow! The upgrade to the executive room is well worth it. It was exquisitely appointed, spacious and luxurious with a powder room and separate full bathroom. L'Occtaine toiletries were a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable and the linen was exceptional. The room was quiet. The breakfast spread in the hotel's famous restaurant was excellent. I am glad I booked the room with the breakfast option. It was very well worth it. Bottom line: I doubt I will ever find a better value anywhere in the world any time soon.

Pros: Location was excellent. The concierge was most helpful with concert tickets, directions, and a recommendation for a great restaurant. Very nice breakfast. All staff I dealt with was very helpful.

Pros: The staff were helpful. When I was told by the breakfast lady that breakfast wasn't included in my room & I showed her proof that it was & she wasn't honoring it, the front desk manager corrected the error

Pros: The proximity to the Old Town Square is fabulous, and just about every major attraction is within 2km. The breakfast is well worth adding into your reservation. You won't find anything better or cheaper nearby. I would attribute any negative responses I see to personal expectations from a decidedly western perspective (elevators are small and steps are the norm for most buildings). Every staff-member was ready to assist, and treated me with respect. Great room, comfortable bed, large clean bathroom, but might get a little warm in the summer (visited in November).

Pros: I had a comfortable and pleasant stay at the grand majestic plaza. The location was great to walk down to all the major attractions, room were clean and beds comfortable and wifi worked great in the room. The breakfast was a good spread and they even make omelette or hard boiled eggs on request.

Pros: Really excellent experience and pleasurable stay, especially the fabulous spa facilities. The only negative was that the beautiful hotel lobby hall was closed off one evening for a private funcion and we have to access the hotel via a side entrance.

Pros: The hotel and spa were beautiful and the most perfect place to celebrate an anniversary. The rooms were tidied multiple times per day and the service was impeccable.
