Pittsburgh hotels in Allegheny/Historic District

Pros: So much detail and history. Beautiful and well kept.

Pros: It was super close to Heinz field. Ed was very knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was great! Love the rooms and decor. Feels like you're staying at a friends house. We plan to stay again!

Cons: Nothing! It was great!

Pros: It was in a great location, close to everywhere we visited. Extremely friendly hosts as well as other visitors. We will always look at this place to book for or next visit.

Pros: The inn is incredible with its period authenticity.

Cons: The owner is not very personable. If you are used to a hotel or airbnb where someone is available at any time to check you in, then get yourself prepared for something completely different. I booked this online at the last second as my trip was very much last second. I got a notification that I was booked, but I didnt look at it. It had information about needing to check in by 8p. I didn't realize this so shame on me. It wouldn't have been a problem but my flight was delayed, so I didn't arrive until 1030p. Everything was locked up and ed was quite put off when he came to let me in indicating that I was late and he had to get up at 530a. So he was very short with me and the morning didn't get any better. I could understand if I was showing up at 200a, but 1030p, really? He did leave me two messages on my phone while I was in the air which I didn't retrieve until the next morning. they were pretty much like ' I am ready to close where are you ' and 'i am going to bed.' In the morning, I noticed it said there was a full breakfast at 8a, so since I had some time I thought I would stay. As I waited patiently at the table, I was told that "breakfast was not included in my rate." Ok, that really wasn't a problem. I wasn't expecting it. But how he handled it was extremely rude. So I had to ask where to go and the response I got was "there is a greasy spoon next door and an ok place down the street on he left." Maybe he was having a bad day, but he has turned me off from ever staying there again, which is unfortunate as the place is incredible. I really feel bad that I feel compelled to write this. I use hotels and airbnb a ton. People always rave about what a great guest I am and I 99℅ of the time give good public reviews and only privately comment on things that could go better. Sorry Ed. I hope things get better and I hope this will help you and your potential customers make decisions.

Pros: The unique decor....the laid back atmosphere and how close it was to Heinz field. Ed served breakfast that was just right. The rooms are large, comfy and quiet.

Pros: Everything was amazing. The atmosphere is so relaxing. The garden in the back is beautiful. I didn’t get to sit and enjoy it this trip but I will definitely be back for another trip to sit with a nice cup of coffee. Ed, RJ, and Ryzette are the best hosts ever. The atmosphere is just so inviting. It’s absolutely gorgeous. The breakfast was out of this world delicious. I didn’t even want to leave to go to the Steelers game. I wanted to stay and relax here. Jennifer had the room so clean and a nice little note from her to us. It was all so personable and inviting. If I could rate it more than 10 stars I would.

Cons: Loved everything!

Pros: Ed is a wonderful host, and he is very knowledgeable about both the house and its history and a number of surrounding restaurants and attractions.

Cons: As can happen in a victorian-era house, the stairs were creaky when anyone walked on them at any hour. Other than that, no complaints at all.
