We enjoyed an easy check in with a very good/new vehicle. The only issue was that the vehicle did not get cleaned/washed. The car had some trash in cup holders, but it drove well and did well. The return and final invoice was exactly as quoted.Reviewed 3 Oct 2022

Very long, slow line to pick up. Friendly representative was clearly waiting several seconds between steps for the computer to perform the task. When I went to get the car, another patron had been assigned the same car. The staff quickly sorted it out, but this should not happen with a modern, computerized system.Reviewed 27 Jul 2022

Bait and switch -- they didn't have the car I rented and instead they only had a substantially smaller car that smelled like smoke and had the check engine light on. It was that or nothing. I felt ripped off and very uncomfortable in the tiny car (I'm tall).Reviewed 16 Jul 2022

It took TWO hours to pick up a pre-paid car … almost as long as my flight halfway across the country. Not a very long line, but when it’s 10-15 minutes per customer to get them processed, it was extremely frustrating to wait that long.Reviewed 13 Jul 2022

We liked the vehicle, it was great for our needs. The pick up of the vehicle was challenging, there was not a representative for the rental desk, so other rental agencies needed to cover. The computer was also down which added to delays, there was not a SVU available as rented, but after searching were able to locate one. Understand there are travel delays as of late. In the time of COVID you would expect to get a vehicle that is very clean. Not the case. We picked up our Ford Expedition at the MSP Airport for a road trip out west. It was disgusting inside. Chewed gum left in the cup holders, sticky stuff spilled on the seats, spills in the cupholders, no vacuuming whatsoever, crumbs and crackers on the floor and seats, not to mention the outside didn't even look like it had gone through a car wash. In addition, the light came on to say it needed an oil change and the Oil Life indicator said 0%. We checked the oil. It was low and what was there was filthy. Wound up cleaning the car inside and out ourselves. I tried calling Payless and was sent from person to person. Finally got a small amount of money back -- $140 on a $1050 rental. No one could help me with the oil situation. Would only say I could return it for another vehicle but they didn't have any left in the size we needed. Finally put some oil in on our own, just in case. Overall, a very disappointing experience.Reviewed 10 Aug 2021
