Breakfast buffet great and free for kids
Bar area too busy and noisy
As you expect with a Novotel, but seems to have a bit more vibe than most. Relatively close to Metros and main train station, is a good base to explore Paris. Breakfasts had enough variety to not get too boring after 4 mornings. Has a Lime Scooter parking bay right outside which is always fun (if not death defying at times)
The area (Montparnasse) seems to be dying a bit and the shopping mall near the Montparnasse Tower is run down. The whole area could do with a pick up.
The original room selected did not meet our expectations--Queen room with double sofa bed. It was really a tiny room with no space to walk or even adjust your luggage. We had to upgrade it to a Suite, which was some good space, with much much better facilities. The lady at the reception was very helpful in getting us a good upgraded room, though at more price. After that, it was a good stay.
Separate washroom & shower room is a complete no.
The room was what I expected and it was clean. The bed was comfortable and the size of the room was fair.
The reception area is a bit undefined and I wasn't sure where to go on arrival as it wasn't clear. The minibar fridge in the room didn't work properly.
It is placed in a very good space where you can easily access public transportation
