During the night the air conditioning began more and more noisy making sleep impossible
The staff is really kind and well prepared. They do everything they can to help. I got in the city super early (around 7am) and the room was already ready for me. Yes, the room is small, but not to the point where this is a bad thing. The bed and shower are really good.
The street can be scary at night. But then again, it’s super well located. I guess you just need to take a little extra care.
I liked the location of this property. It was right across the street from the port authority.
We had a room with two double beds. There was no refrigerator or microwave. I had to request a refrigerator to keep my insulin cold. The room was so small they had to remove the one chair in the room and stick the refrigerator under the small attached table/desk. The room was not clean. I cannot believe this is a Double Tree hotel. I have stayed in many Double Tree hotels and all were excellent this one was more like a cheap hotel. The only good thing about this hotel was the location. I would never stay here again.
Location was best
Room size was small
There was always a long line at the front desk to check in or check out. A 40 minute minute wait sometimes. I left a night early and spoke to Monika at the front desk about getting a refund a day earlier and she said come back down the following day (the day I'd be leaving) and check with the manager. I told her that would make it less than 24 hours notice and she said it was fine. I came back down the next morning and of course I was told I have given less than 24 hours notice and it's too late now... I had given 24 hours notice but was turned away and told to come back the next day. Horrible service.
