Pros: We arrived on a long haul flight from the United States to Munich and after spending the afternoon visiting the Christmas Markets with out 4 year old, headed to bed for the night. Unfortunately the air conditioning was broken and our room became sweltering (despite this being December). We called the desk staff at 2 am and they were VERY responsive. The staff identified a new room and set-up an extra bed for our son while we waited comfortably in the lobby library. During the remainder of our stay the entire staff was very apologetic and gracious. We are very grateful to the staff at The Charles Hotel for focusing on our family's comfort during our stay and we look forward to returning to the Charles during our next stay in Munich. I would highly recommend considering The Charles.

Pros: Solid location to use trams and trains. Also walking distance to city center. Airport shuttle across the street was great(it was 11€ each). The hotel it self felt very historic which I loved. Lots of cool art . Friendly and helpful desk staff. The bed was extremely comfortable.
Cons: Our room was a bit expensive for just a basic room. being right next to train station it got noisy at times. The main elevator was shut down so we had to use the service elevator which was very small only enough room for 2 people.

Pros: This nice hotel has an easy location - across the street from the train station and across the street from the airport bus stop. The center of town can be reached easily by foot in about 10 minutes. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The sauna and steam room were nice, and breakfast was superb. All in all, a great place to stay.
Cons: The room was slightly cold but very clean and comfortable.

Pros: Excellent location across from main Munich train station. About a 15 walk to the Marienplatz. Access to public transit close by. Staff was very friendly and helpful in assisting us with planning our three days at the Much Christmas Markets. Breakfast buffet was generous and varied in choices. Pros: Location was excellent. Close to all the shops and other restaurants. Check in was smooth. The service was pleasant and helpful. The room was clean, bathroom was nice (spacious, modern), and the view was as expected being between two streets. Bed was few comfy.
Cons: Their price for breakfast was very expensive compared to any other place I went. I didn't purchase the included breakfast as I thought trying out a few places would be fun. I never once ate there after I saw how the price was double what I paid for a full breakfast at other facilities.

Pros: The location and design are both amazing. The staff is friendly and the hotel overall is new and high quality. With most hotel located together south of the train station this was a great place close to the museums and LMU, which means better places to eat and drink nearby, But yours still less than ten minute walk to the hauptbonhof and walkable to the city center,
Cons: The hard 3 PM check in time creates a rush that defeats the purpose of the self-checkin process. But if you drop you bags off and return a bit later you’ll be fine, Someonetimes when the bar is busy the lack of dedicated front of house staff is tough at times but they are quick and ready to help making it not a huge issue, especially for the value,

Pros: The location is perfect for us and public transportation very close by. There are also a few pretty good and nice restaurants within walking distance. Rooms are on the small size no US tv stations. Check in very nice as well as checkout.
Cons: unfortunately when we booked only 2 twins were available and we were not able to get a queen bed. But not a real problem. Large grease stain on carpet.

Cons: The staff were rude; interrupted breakfast making me get up from my seat and clear up the fact that I had paid for breakfast with my reservation. The rooms were uncomfortable; in addition to being dated, the beds were not much better than sleeping on the floor. Internet slow; an unwelcome reminder of the bandwidth modern websites demand.

Cons: Germany is undergoing a heat spell. It was close to hundred, no air conditioning, I asked for a fan, no fan, fridge does not work. I have a 11 year old along with my wife were miserable, had already paid for 2 nights. Not a good way to remember Germany.

Cons: Hotel was filthy - literal, actual dirt on the walls. Cockroaches in the rooms. This was basically a hostel, but with your own (terrible) bathroom rather than a shared one.
