Villa Dos Corais Pousada - Morro de Sao Paulo - Pool

When you stay at Villa dos Corais Pousada in Morro de Sao Paulo, you'll be on the beach, within a 10-minute walk of Second Beach and Third Beach. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, laundry facilities, and a library.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, private beach - a dream!
Cons: The spa experience was not great, It is not managed by the property directly (you pay the therapist directly) but the massages were not great.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely resort-like accommodation close enough to everything yet far enough to avoid the noise and the crowds. The restaurant has good salads, the rest of the menu it’s average. Overall the place is clean, but we did find an oversized cockroach in our bed and second one in our luggage. The hotel is close to nature so this may be a usual appearance, but perhaps more cleaning inspections are called for.
Cons: Coffee
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable rooms, awesome food.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Amazingly friendly staff, professional and attentive. Not everyone speaks English but lovely ladies at the reception Rosa and Michelle did and this was sufficient to solve any queries. It is a good size hotel - not too big and not too small, located in a huge, beautiful and well maintained garden, just by the beach. Enough sun beds for everyone! Food was amazing - delicious, fresh, elegantly presented, at prices lower to what you get in town for sitting in plastic chairs (main course max RS 70). Great breakfast selection (eggs any style, fresh fruits and juices, pancakes, best cakes ever!). This part of the island is less crowded than Beach 2, so relaxed sunbathing guaranteed. Still, in a walking distance to town if you want to get to shops and restaurants - best of two worlds! Your options are lazy 15 min walk by the beach (which is well lit so no issues with coming back late) or for those who prefer car transfer, hotel is providing shuttle bus (every 30 min in the evening). Room was huge with four poster bed and mosquito net (very practical on the island). There was someone coming every evening to make the bed and spray the room. Big balcony to enjoy a nap on a hammock. Lots of privacy, super clean. I did not see the ocean from my room but I could hear it, such a relaxing sound which put me to sleep every night. For yoga practitioners, there are couple of options - either individual sessions provided in the hotel by lovely Marlinia or you can join her for group classes in a yoga shala just 5 min walk by the beach from the hotel. Same with massages - you can have one in the hotel or just go outside of the hotel and enjoy a massage done by ladies on the beach. Few activities for kids as well like table games. This is not a place where you have animations organised day and night - if this is your expectation a different hotel will be a better option for you.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Charmy, and restful
Cons: N/A
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best Hotel in Morro. Highly recommended. Rose Feroutti is the sweatest ever receptionist having the time to understand my broken Portuguese. Love for it
Cons: The aircon and the fridge were both annoyingly loud so I had to switch them off for the night.
7.1 Good
Pros: Rooms are big but require maintenance. Nice breakfast. Location is extremely nice.
Cons: Standard rooms which are located on the ground floor have very limited privacy - cannot open the windows as people are walking just next to buildings and can see everything. So, had my windows also shut and used lights, even during the day

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly, the rooms are very big and it is in an ally very close to the beach.
Cons: The doors all have gaps so mosquitoes can get in. The breakfast is ok. There are better breakfasts in morro for this price.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Nice facility with nice rooms and good maintenance.
Cons: Small breakfast and poorly trained staff who clearly show that guests were not top priority. A review of service and housing would be something owners would cost on the breakfast staff. The reception staff were nice and responsive on request. We did not feel welcome and more like we should not be there. We will not choose this hotel for our next trip to Morro.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The places were clean and comfortable. The staff were always happy and very helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location just a few minutes from the beach at the quite alley, new clean apartments with access to the internal patio with the pool Worth all the money

Pros: Beautiful pousada very well located. Nearby the beach, restaurants as shops. Lovely garden and swimming pool area. Breakfast well presented and with lots os variety.
Cons: No negative comments.

Pros: Juliette, the owner, is the nicest! We got her whatsapp contact immediately and could always ask her questions. She was super thoughtful and gave us great recommendations for activities and restaurants. Many options for breakfast, which is fresh and nutritious! The pousada’s location is great, as it’s just outside of the crowded center, at the end of a tranquil pathway.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good location, away from the hustle and bustle of the main strip. Very friendly staff. Good balcony view from the units higher up.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the owners of this accomodation are very friendly and helpful, the Rooms are comfortable and clean. balcony with hammock make the stay there perfect. Breakfast is huge and freshly made with love! but the most what we loved about the accomodaton was the quite neighbourhood, because morro de sao Paulo can be very touristic. the accomodation is surrounded by the Beautiful quite jungle and very close to the beach at the same! we only stayed there for one night, but we highly recommend it and would go there again - thank you for making our trip to Brazil so excellent :-)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Short walk to the nicest beaches. Hummingbirds hovering around in the tree in front of our balcony was nice to observe. The hostel owner advising us on some good places to go out for the night. Then the shower was like a water cannon a lot better than other places I stayed this trip we got a throrough wash. Mosquito spray at the reception came in handy when we left the window open with the light on.
Cons: Not a lot.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such an amazing location and lovely hosts - we really felt at home. Thank you so so much for your amazing hospitality. Would recommend to anyone.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Both Adrian and Marisa are amazing! They welcomed us with a heart full of love and care, making us feel at home. They were super attentive to all our needs with a perpetous smile in their face and many tips for us to enjoy the best that Morro de São Paulo has to offer. We will definitely come back soon for a lilttle bit more of Morro and Aquarela! Many Thanks!
Cons: Nothing. Everything was amazing.
Vila Dos Orixás Boutique Hotel - Morro de Sao Paulo - Building

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Magnificent location, beautiful pool, big comfortable bungalow, quiet, reliable connections to the town, good Wi-fi
Cons: Breakfast was OK, but the food for lunch and dinner did not match the quality of the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is stunning. Piece & quiet. Love it.
Cons: The price of food in the restaurante is a little expensive, maybe more cheap options. The salad is too expensive. Maybe more options of desert.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Proximity to the beach. Good communication pre-arrival. The adorable kitten (probably abandoned) found in the property (see photo). All guests were enjoying its company and my heart was broken to leave it there. I would adopt it if not leaving abroad - it would need at least 2 months to complete vaccines/ blood tests and documents.
Cons: There were too many mosquitoes in the room. Although mosquito spray was available, doors and windows had no protection to prevent them to come inside. The beaches were full of plastic and waste. Although it is not fault from hotel, it would be interesting to see some engagement from hotel owners to protect the area and give the a good example to guests. Island is full of abandoned cats and over explored horses. Again, although not a fault from hotel, horses need food and owners need to be educated to do not starve these working horses. Just get them out of property is not a good example. Island also needs to engage with castration campaigns.
6.0 Good
Pros: Location is unbeatable.
Cons: Staff wasn't very helpful, service in the restaurant was very slow.
Pousada Tatiba - Morro de Sao Paulo - Pool
5
9.3 Excellent (154 reviews)
₹ 4,653+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Pousada Tatiba in Morro de Sao Paulo, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Second Beach and Fourth Beach. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location of this pousada couldn’t have been more perfect for us, the beach it leads onto is totally secluded and stunning! It’s also a lovely walk or bike ride (we borrowed bikes from Tatiba) along the beach to Praia do Encanto which is also beautiful and has some good restaurants to stop at for lunch! The owners are a lovely Brazilian couple who are super friendly! And Felipe will very kindly drive you into town when needed, we did this a few times to go for dinner and to the shops and then had a wonderful walk back along the beach which is totally safe. Highly recommend staying here where you have your own little piece of paradise, and avoiding staying in the very busy beaches 1 and 2!
6.0 Good
Pros: The staff was great and super friendly, although they don't speak English they tried their best to accommodate us. Filipe and Fabiana were super nice and cool. The breakfast is good and fresh food You have a private beach basically, very clean and nice and not crowded.
Cons: The toilets were very old and with a weird smell, there were bugs and ants in the room all the time. The lunch was overpriced and disappointing. It's hard to get to the pousada (but they offer you a shuttle until 11pm which is very nice)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hosts are just the nicest people you can imagine. The location is like paradise, on a lonely beach which is probably the best we've ever seen. At night you can gaze thousands of stars. The pousada is a one hour walk from vila de morro but... is a one hour walk along the most beautiful beach ever!! And the owners are super helpful and offering lifts to the town when needed. We couldn't have wished for any nicer place to stay during our short break out on this island. And the food in the restaurant is also incredibly good - we should have made use of it more often instead of going to one of the over-rated trip advisor places.
Cons: The only point not so satisfying was the very old room and bathroom. But to be honest - anything more luxurious would also be much more expensive. A soap holder is missing next to the sink.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional stay at Tatiba with an amazing and friendly staff !! If you're looking for a peaceful stay, with direct access to the beach and nature, and don't mind to take a ride (offered by the pousada) of 15 min from beach 2 until beach 4, don't look anywhere else, this is the one! Bicycle, kayak and paddle at disposal without extra cost. Awesome breakfast. Room is comfortable and clean with new air conditioner. Highly recommended !!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is absolutely beautiful! We had our own beach. You can go for long walks on the beach in either direction. The area is very quiet and it was perfect for us! When there is high water you can swim right outside the hotel in the sea. When there is low water and springs you can go out into a natural sea pool created 200-300 meters outside the hotel. We saw birds, butterflies and some monkeys at the hotel. Loved seeing the hummingbirds and the huge butterflies! The hotel arranged transportation when we wanted to go to the 2nd or 3rd beach, as there are shops, patios and restaurants located there. The wifi worked great and made it easy for us both to plan other parts of our trip and for entertainment. The best part of the hotel is still the staff! The hotel is runned by Fabiana and Filipe. When we arrived they had just taken over and startes running the hotel. They are so welcoming, smiling and helpfull. Always trying to make the stay even better!
Cons: There wasn’t anthing we didn’t like during our stay. However the hotel is about 20 years old so they work to maintain the area. The aircondition made some noise but for us it was not a problem. They apologized for the sound and said they were replacing them. we were lucky to book our stay now because it will probably be an exclusive place when they finish the upgrades.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spectacular location: the pousada is located in an island with some of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil and in secluded part of the beach (we had the beach just for us). Exceptional hospitality: Felipe and Fabiana are kind and sunny. They try to make their guests feel at home. Felipe took us to the boat carrying our luggage on the day of our return. During our stay they always asked us if everything was fine. Highly recommended place: you can't miss it!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great bungalow bedrooms in a quiet by the sea property. The bungalows don't have a view to the beach as they are in the back of the property. Staff is extremely courteous and speak multiple languages. Breakfast is great and kitchen is good. They offer transfers to-from Morro de São Paulo village and arrange other if needed as well as day trips to local attractions like offshore whale watching or round the island by boat tours.
Cons: It was just what we expected, great value for money, I have no complaints.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Really nice bungalows at the 4th beach (very nice and quiet beach, not as crowded as the 2nd beach). Great staff and service and very helpful with organising trips etc. Hotel offers a shuttle service to get to and from town, so even if you want to enjoy a bit of the nightlife it’s easily possible!
Cons: WiFi wasn’t the best, normally not a problem. But we had to do some work during our stay, so that was a bit of a struggle.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: this hotel is too good to be true. it is hard to get there but once you reach, you never leave the premise. it has only 11 villas, so gives you lots of privacy and space. the beach is amazing, the pool is clean and big enough, the breakfast has enough variety and good quality (even the coffee). we had lunch at the hotel every day (lots of fresh fish; you can see the fisherman from the beach) and alternated for dinner between our hotel and the hotel next door (we preferred the steak at the hotel next door). staff is friendly and helpful. not everyone speaks much English but everyone is keen to understand and will find a way to help you. reception staff were amazing to organise our transport and answer all our question. also loved the massage right at the beach.
Cons: tinny bit of an upgrade on interior of the bathrooms and beach beds would be good. review your restaurant menu and maybe consider a daily special for variety and otherwise reduce the menu. there are lots of mosquitoes but the hotel provides you with enough protection to manage.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff is welcoming and friendly at all times. The restaurant, open all day, is unbelievable and extremely good value for money. We have tried the whole fish menu, nothing was average. The location is unbelievable. We have had the time of our life.
Cons: WiFi quite slow
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved our stay. The property is beautiful, the staff is incredibly helpful and kind, and the food and drinks were fantastic. The also kids loved the pool.
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel was beautifully kept, the staff attentive. Great they do a shuttle run into town. Food was good. Could be tranquil if not in our cabin number 2.
Cons: Trying to arrange transport yo the hotel via boipeba, the emails just said get your current hotel to arrange it, I thought that was a cop out. Although on leaving Anima they were very helpful in arranging an earlier taxi. We were very disappointed that our cabin was right next to next door hotel kitchen, we could hear all the clanging and banging of them washing up, the extractor fans were on constant and the smell of cooking food too. The staff all took their breaks from the hotel talking very loudly until late in the night. We did complain to the guy in reception who said they would ring the hotel to ask them to be quieter. It really spoilt our stay there has apart from that the places perfect. Do not get cabin 2. Very expensive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, comfort, restaurant, views, superb beach, service, staff etc. Also quiet & away from the crowds on other beaches Stayed there once before, several years ago. would go again
Cons: The odd cockroach ! Not a problem as used to them but some people would not like.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location set in a beautifully tamed jungle. The bungalows are spacious and very clean. The beach is on the doorstep and the surroundings are very peaceful. The staff super friendly and helpful. The kitchen cooks up some of the best food we had on the island, the breakfast ain’t bad either. Oh yeah, very child friendly we had a two year old with us.
Cons: The transfer vehicles could do with some serious TLC, but it wouldn’t stop me from returning

Pros: Great little Villa, beautifully build with wood, quiet, close to beach.
Cons: Better use a moscito net at night .
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly host, good breakfast on your own terrasse, beautiful and clean room
Cons: It's a bit off the beach and at the far end of the village.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Quiet, well-equipped apartments close to the beach, exciting breakfasts. The owner (Luca) helps with everything you need. Never seen such an attentive host before.
Cons: Wifi works well in general, but connection sometimes missing in the evenings, not a big issue
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very close to the beach. The place is quiet. The breakfast is really good. The room was big and fully equipped. The owner is very helpful.
Cons: A little bit far from the center, but in a very quiet area
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice house, The veranda, looking in the beautiful garden was very nice. The breakfast was very good and little bit af variation each day, different kind of fresh fruits. Delicious cakes. Helpful host.
Cons: the coffe was not good but anyway there was exact two cups of coffe or milk each day, it would be nice if we could have some more, but there was no chance to ask for it. The kitchen could have some new things. a sharp knife and a new pan.

Overview Reviews
When you stay at Pousada Via Brasil in Morro de Sao Paulo, you'll be by the sea, within a 5-minute walk of Second Beach and First Beach. Featured amenities include multilingual staff and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is available for a surcharge.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location on the Main Street, but super super calm ! Good breakfast, local style house, comfortable room with a perfect bare terrace. Very nice place !
Cons: Nothing very serious !
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very near the first beach, not too far away from the ferry stop. So it's a win win for location. Also they had a shower that we could use before entering the rooms from the beach. That helped keeping it clean. Staff were friendly too, though none of them spoke English.
Cons: None of the staff spoke English, but that is too be expected in most of Brazil, I have learned. The patio in front of us was big and had a sea view, but on the flip side, it was used as the breakfast area in the morning. So we woke up and opened our door to see people having breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were 2 couples and had 2 double rooms on the same floor. The rooms were sparkling clean, spacious enough and beautifully designed- which in return gave us a ‘home’ feeling. In addition, the location was perfect - close to the harbour and the first beaches but also far enough from the noisy night beach terraces :) The staff was heartwarming and always friendly and nice to us. The breakfast in the morning on the terrace with ocean view was a spectacular experience itself, and the homemade cakes were absolutely delicious! Would certainly considering staying there again if we ever come back to Morro de São Paulo.
Cons: Nothing, everything was perfect!
6.0 Good
Pros: breakfast and location are the highlight. staff is also nice and discret (i was burning an incent unaware that it was not allowed and they were very chilled about that).
Cons: i was under the impression that they had a view of the ocean. its true, but only in the breakfast area. the rooms are very nice and comfy, but window and door are on the same wall, which prevents air from circling. i gave a poor grade on cleanliness because I found multiple hairs on the bathroom floor (did not report it though since it seemed pointless - they were very clear that they didnt have any other room available).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, quiet to get a nice sleep, and close enough from the second beach Really nice place and helpful staff, thank you!
Cons: I would recommend to keep the milk in the fridge at all time, even during breakfast time, as outside temperature is really high, appart from that breakfast was good :) everything was all right, thank you!
7.9 Good
Pros: practical location between the restaurants/“city center” and the beaches. very nice breakfast and helpful staff. i would recommend the pousada! it is no luxury place but has everything needed to have a nice staying in morro!
Cons: generally about morro: if you want to be directly on the beach it is probably better to get a place on the 2nd beach. the “city” is generally a humid place, so there are difficulties in drying your things. it also rains often, shortly but a lot. about the hotel: the rooms are nice but smell a bit like closed and humid. the rooms on the floor of the reception doesn’t have any place outside, while the other rooms upstairs have a small patio in front with a hammock
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff at the pousada were amazing. The location is really good, really close to the Primeira Praia and a short walk from the Segunda Praia. The ferry pier was also only a short walk away. The room is spacious and the bathroom is modern. The breakfast had an amazing selection of food and the staff will cook eggs and tapioca upon request. The Wi-Fi was fast and stable.
Cons: There was no hot water for one of the showers we had, but the weather was really warm so it didn't make any difference. Also note that the Google Maps location of the pousada is incorrect - you will need to walk along the main street for a bit longer to find it :)
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful place very comfortable and at such a reasonable price. the rooms are beautifully decorated with art work. Our host Laura was very helpful and friendly. Great location and a breakfast to suit ones desire!

Pros: I liked the location, very close to the beach , the room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable, the wifi was really good, and the balcony with lounger chairs were a nice addition with a great view of the ocean.
Cons: The breakfast had a lot of bread which I noticed was common. Some of the food was really great butnot a lot of savory options, A LOT of sweets which I didn't really like.

Pros: There is a nice swimming pool and the animation staff is nice
Cons: Our toilet was broken 2 out of 3 days, flood in the bathroom. One day we were in the restaurant and my husband saw one person of the kitchen who did not wash his hands after being in the bathroom...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, excellent breakfast (I simply couldn't stop eating), good restaurant, nice kids programme, transfer to Morro, very comfortable room, great swimming pool... all in all this is a very good place for a relaxing holiday with kids.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice facilities and friendly staff. Restaurant of good quality. Lots of activities. The kids loved it!
Cons: The pool needed some cleaning, but overall the place was excellent
6.7 Good
Cons: A place to have a rest. If you want have a rest, the place is almost perfect. But you have a long way to get there and it makes our trip awfull. When you arrive on the island, you have to a walk tour the island with lots of luggages, then take a terrible old bus. The beach of the hotel is worth it, because it is the best of the island. But, remember, you must take this awful bus all the time you want to go to the village. They could improve their transfer. The breakfast and the swimming pool are nice!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Quiet place with beach support and direct access, good food and drinks, nice accomodations. Has water sports rental.
Cons: To access the resort (to and fro) you need to use a bus that takes around 25 minutes to arrive, but, if you're staying only there it ain't a nuisance.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fabiana, the lady at the frontdesk really made the difference. She was very helpfull in finding the right trips and tried to arrange everything you want to have arranged. The breakfast was great. Every day a big variation of cakes, fruits, bread and savoury and sweet snacks. And everything freshly made. The location was in front of the beach close by to a lot off restaurants and town. The atmosphere was great and relaxed. Standard Rooms are small but really clean and fresh with a small terrace in front with a hammock.
Cons: The price for the standard rooms were a bit high if you compare it with other hotels in the area.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good, they prepared special gluten and carb-free options
Cons: Restaurant was undergoing remodelling, so there was some noise during the day

6.7 Good
Pros: Nice breakfast
Cons: It was too quiet and remote for my taste. I would have liked to have been given more information about the surrounding areas. It’s a bit lonely if you’re a solo traveller.

Cons: the veiw evry thinks
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location with the view over the sea, especially from the infinity pool, is just amazing. The proximity to the ferry station.
Cons: -
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: Not a good value for money. Compared to the other hotels this is way overprized and overpromising. The pictures are not even close to reality. The attitude of the staff is far away from being motivated. We were surprised by the high prices and zero awareness for hosting and service like no showerstuff, no water on the room, no flexibility at the restaurant/choice of dishes. All ok in a hostel, but not for a hotel which costs more than 200 a night. Fair to say: Ok location and amazing view. Location/view: Away from the main beach, view on the sea and arriving boats.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great option for the value. The breakfast is diverse, with air conditioning in the hall (which doesn´t happen in every Pousada). Friendly staff and pretty amenities. Importantly, is not the party destination so you can be relaxed while in your room
Cons: The pool is quite small, but being close to the beach is not really a big deal
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fine. A lot to choose from but be early, because around 9 there were not much left. Everything was very clean and the room was very nice and big.
Cons: Everything was very good, but there was 1 lady from the staff who had a very bad attitude and wasn't helpful at all. Everybody else in the staff was always smiling and very kind.

Pros: The place was far from the city about 45minute walk. But the hotel offers taxi for free in different hours. Cozy, calm and relaxing place.
Cons: Beach was realy wide but there were a lot of stones in the ocean.
7.1 Good
Pros: Cute property, nice ground, amazing beach, clean, friendly staff, nice pool, amazing breakfast. Very good place if you want to relax far from the crowd and have a beautiful beach just to yourself.
Cons: Far from everything (which is its big plus as well as minus): the 4th beach is the farthest so you can either take one of free transfer by jeep - or walk along the beach and it would take about 30’ to get to the 2nd beach. The hotel is a bit outdated, no one speaks english.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet location with a beautiful empty beach
8.8 Excellent
Pros: V good breakfast (tapioca!), nice swimming pool, friendly shuttle driver
Cons: Restaurant could serve a bit better dishes and drinks in the evenings.
