Originally built in 1939, this recently renovated boutique hotel in the center of South Beach clubs, restaurants, and shops, is 1 block from Lummus Park and the ocean, and 1 mile from Lincoln Road shops.
Pros: Location was good and staff were friendly
Pros: Staff very courteous and helpful.Cons: No parking available and having to pay extra per day for valet parking. Also, rooms don't have dressers to put your clothes and belongings.
Pros: The white bedsCons: I was checking out , the housekeeper she kept trying to get into my room before I gather my belongings, anytime I left the room to bring a suitcase from my room she is there at the door trying to open it . I felt that she is trying to get the tip before her manager my entered there I felt awkward . No breakfast or coffee .All you have to get outside the hotel . Parking is a valet parking at the hotel. And 5 $ fee additional to each day of valet parking . Next time I may try to get a bit far from the beach
Pros: Close to beach, Main lobby was clean, Staff was really nice & welcomingCons: 4PM Check in, No one cleaned our rooms, Beds weren't made the 2 days we were there.
Pros: Nice Hotel ,close to the beach ,comfy beds ,friendly staff ,perfect location Cons: No Parking
Pros: Great staff. Loved the on site restaurant! Very close to the beach and in the middle of SoBe! Cons: Beds not so comfortable
I really enjoyed my starPros: The hotel has an attached hotel/tiki bar. The food is pretty good!Cons: The rooms come off as a little small, but there is still plenty of space. I plan on dtaying at this hotel again. Sometime it wasnice
Decent stayPros: Location is great right in the thick of things. Lobby and staff are decent. Cons: Rooms a bit dated
Wonderful placePros: The front desk person was very polite and inviting. We asked for early check in and they let us know when the room was ready. The bed was very soft as we're the pillows. The shower had a rain showerhead which had great pressure. The restaurant next door offered 20% to hotel guests. Literally 1 block from the beach. They give you towels to take to the beach. Cons: They didn't have free breakfast.
The hotel staff were very nice and accommodating Pros: The staff and the management especially the manager Mathew were all awesome he was such a class act from the beginning of our stay to the end. Cons: Management was very professional and polite. Very well maintained and clean hotel. 1block to the beach and lots of things to do as well.
Good call for a base near ocean drivePros: Beautifully renovated, comfortable roomCons: Noisy neighbours with a constant smell of dope hanging in the air
Great location, rude staffPros: This hotel is right in the middle of south beach and is one of the classic boutique hotels left. It also has nice neon green lighting which makes it stick out and easy to find. Since many of the hotels are getting upgraded in Miami Beach, hotel prices are going up, but the Kent is usually reasonable.Cons: After I checked out the next day, I left my bags there and walked around for a while. When I returned I wanted to charge my phone and look a couple things on the internet before leaving Miami. The guy at the desk “we can’t have you hanging around here”. I won’t be hanging around or giving business to the Kent hotel anymore. I’ll pay more and stay at a place known for customer service.
